Arrow Season 6 Episode 6 Recap: Promises Kept

A new villain emerged on Arrow Season 6 Episode 6 and made it clear he was intent on making some changes to the criminal underworld of Star City.

The new addition was Kirk Acevedo who was playing DC comics villain Richard Dragon. On the CW hit, his character goes by the name of Ricardo Diaz.

The new character had an ominous link to Diggle who was still keeping up the charade as the latest iteration of the Green Arrow. Diggle was still struggling with drugs, and it turned out his drug supplier was Ricardo.

Diggle realized that Ricardo posed a threat to team Arrow, so he turned to his wife Lyla and told her all the details about his drug taking.

Diggle supplied the team with Ricardo’s whereabouts and was forced to watch the drugs go up in flames. Diggle later confessed all to his team and apologized for keeping them in the dark.

Meanwhile, Slade continued to reconnect with his son after being reunited with each other. Slade decided to join his son on a risky mission, one that Oliver opposed to.

Slade’s son then wanted his father to attack Oliver and finally take him out of the equation, but then Slade turned the tables and sided with his former enemy.

The newly formed duo went after Kane before he and his band of misfits could attack the water supply. Slade and Kane had to head-to-head in an emotional battle.

Slade tried to tell his son that he was only killing because he was high on mirakuru, but the kid revealed that he witnessed Slade kill during a camping trip.

Slade said goodbye to Oliver once again as he noted it was time for him to get some results with his children. He wanted to be a good father for once in his life.

We also got to see some flashbacks of Slade being picked up from Lian Yu seven years before the current events.

Slade trained with ASIS but struggled to move on from what happened to Shado. Slade then murdered the whole ASIS crew after the ghost of Shado told him to avenge her death.

Something tells us Slade is going to find himself in some more trouble with the principal characters before long. His sons are wild.

What did you think of all the action?

Sound off below!

Courtney Stodden Promises to Have Gay Baby

If there’s a silver lining to be found in the unspeakable tragedy of the Orlando nightclub shooting, it’s the outpouring of support for the  LGBT community that’s flooded in from all corners of the globe via social media tributes, monetary donations, and outraged calls for change.

Celebrities have shared have offered emotional accounts of ways in which they were touched by the largest mass shooting in US history, and many have called upon fans to help the survivors and families of the victims in any way they can.

Then Courtney Stodden came along and made things weird.

As you may have heard, Stodden is pregnant with her first child.

Speaking with Us Weekly at a recent PETA event in Los Angeles, Courtney revealed that she doesn’t know the sex of her baby, but she knows that if it’s a a boy, he’s gonna be into boys:

“If it’s a boy I am going to dress him up in tutus,” Stodden told the tabloid.

“I know I am going to spoil my baby rotten. I’m going to be a fun mom. I always say I am going to have a girl regardless, and if it’s a boy he’ll be gay!”

In fairness, Coutney made her comments before the Pulse shooting, and Us waited several days to publish the interview, so we guess they’re to blame for the awful timing.

That said, maybe it’s just generally a good idea to hold off on comments about molding your child’s sexual orientation in 2016?

Hey, aybe Courtney was kidding.

Or maybe it was just the sort of joke that doesn’t translate well to print.

Whatever the case, the fact that Courtney is already planning on shaping this kid into cosmo-sipping mini-me and becoming an Amy Poehler-in-MeanGirls-esque “cool mom” is a little unsettling.

Hey, at the end of the day, she’s 21, and it’s her first pregnancy.

We’re willing to forgive the occasional awkward comment.

We just wish we’d hear more comments along the lines of “I’ll love him or her regardless of whom he or she chooses to love” when parents are awkwardly asked about their kids sexual orientations.

Hey, even easier: just stop asking parents about their kids’ sexual orientations!

Kim Kardashian Promises Nude Selfies Forever, World Braces Itself

As a community of interweb users, we only have ourselves to blame.

Last night, before she hopped on a private plane that took her to the Cannes Film Festival, a Vivienne Westwood-clad Kim Kardashian accepted the first-ever “Break The Internet” gong at the 20th Annual Webby Awards, which honors “the best of the internet.”

Best is a relative term in this case.

Kardashian was toasted at the ceremony – held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York – for her “bold and creative” ways of using social media, according to Us Weekly.

“As the leading celebrity in terms of her online presence and understanding of how to connect with a global audience via social media, apps and online video, Kim has set the standard incredibly high,” the Webby Awards site explained.

“She has shaped our understanding of how someone or something can draw the popular attention of Internet users everywhere. To the degree that she’s created a new type of celebrity — publicizing her life to the benefit of herself and her family — is due to the Internet.”

Prior to the ceremony, Kardashian taped a Facetime segment for Ellen (airing today), in which she asked the talk show host to help her with an acceptance speech.

“I’ve been texting all my funny friends like Chrissy Teigen, everyone I think is so funny, asking what my speech should be. Any ideas?” she asked DeGeneres.

“Um..”I thank Ellen Lee DeGeneres?” the comedian suggested, before an even better idea struck.

“You should say, ‘You’re welcome for naked selfies,"” DeGeneres said.

And so, Kardashian took to the stage to accept her award, telling the audience and viewers at home, “Nude selfies until I die.”

Jessica Alba took home Entrepreneur of the Year, Kanye West won Artist of the Year, and The Onion took home the Lifetime Achievement Award for “commitment to online publishing and satire” as well as being one of the first online publishers.
