Prince Overdose Will NOT Result in Criminal Charges, Attorney Announces
We have another update on the passing of Prince.
Nearly two years to the day on which Prince died from a drug overdose, Carver County attorney Mark Metz says no criminal charges will be filed in conjunction with this tragedy.
During a press conference on Thursday afternoon, Metz explained that the “charging decision must be made on legal merits,” and not just on celebrity status, eventually stating that he “will not file any criminal charges” due to a lack of evidence.
Prior to this confirmation, there had been many questions over how Prince obtained the many (MANY) bottles of prescription pills that authorities found inside his home in April of 2016.
As previously reported, the iconic musician was found unconscious in his mansion and pronounced dead shortly afterward.
The DEA found prescription bottles in Prince’s possession at the time, with information later coming out that revealed Prince was prescribed heavy doses of Oxycodone just six days before he passed away.
Just last month, The Associated Press made public a toxicology report that detailed the levels of fentanyl flowing through the star’s body on the day he died.
It now is clear that Prince died as a result of this excessive amount of the aforementioned drug.
It turns out, however, that the artist had been taking counterfeit pills containing the powerful painkiller, unbeknownst to himself at the time.
“Prince had no idea he was taking a counterfeit pill that could kill him,” Metz said.
However, he added that there is no evidence showing just how he obtained these counterfeit pills and, as a result, no one can be held accountable in a legal sense.
Metz did say for certain that Dr. Michael Schulenberg examined Prince around the time of his passing and prescribed percoset for the singer – in another man’s name – which he will be “held accountable for.”
But it is not believed Schulenberg prescribed for Prince the drugs that killed him.
(He will need to pay the government $ 30,000 in fines, though.)
Federal prosecutors and the Drug Enforcement Administration had opened an investigation into how Prince obtained the prescription medication, the agencies confirmed in the past.
Based on court documents from last year, none of the numerous bottles found in Prince’s home were actually in his name.
Some of them were in the name of bodyguard Kirk Johnson, for example.
Metz added it was likely Prince had also taken one of the counterfeit Vicodin when he overdosed on a private jet the week before he died.
He recovered from this incident and even performed a show for fans prior to his demise less than a week later.
It’s all very sad and very confusing.
The bottom line, however, remains the same:
Prince was a man in a lot of pain who went to great lengths in order to obtain heavy doses of medication.
He did so in ways that could not guarantee he always received the right mix of prescription pills.
The musician’s history with opioids was worrisome enough to those around him that, the day before he died, Prince’s team had called an opioid addiction specialist in California seeking urgent help for the star.
Alas, the plan was formulated too late.
We can only hope Prince is now resting in peace.

Big Brother Spoilers: Nominations & Veto Result!
Alliances in the Big Brother house are changing.
With Paulie as HOH, it meant that the plan to take Frank out of the game would have have to wait for at least one more week.
Paulie is currently solid with Nicole, Corey, Zakiyah and Michelle, so there was no way he was putting either of them on the block.
He was part of the plan last week to keep Tiffany in the game, but everyone who kept her regretted the decision.
Frank found a way to get Tiffany on his side and the two enemies are now in cahoots with one another.
This alliance obviously came out of nowhere, but it kind of makes sense. Who would expect those two to be working together?
Frank even done damage control with Da’vonne, but it’s clear that he’s still gunning for her.
Paulie nominated Natalie and Tiffany for eviction. Tiffany is his target.
He doesn’t trust a word she says, so he and his alliance agree that it’s time to target her and stick with it.
Tiffany then won her first competition. Yes, the Road Kill!
After deliberating with Frank about who to put up, she went with Corey.
This doesn’t come as a surprise because he’s a big player, but she kept her win quiet and it has the rest of the house wondering who could have won.
Frank will no doubt use her win to his advantage further down the line.
Corey informed Natalie that if he won the veto he would take her off so that the winner of the Road Kill didn’t have a say in who would be the replacement nominee.
Natalie was ecstatic, but would he really follow through with his plan?
Corey did win the veto, but we don’t know what he will do?
We’ll find out the answer on Monday.
This has been a hugely entertaining weekend on the live feeds.

SNL Star Pete Davidson — Who Lost His Dad In 9/11 — Confronts The League"s Steve Rannazzisi Over His Lie! But The Result May Surprise You!
We still can’t believe that someone would lie about this!
The League star Steve Rannazzisi was busted recently over a tall tale he’s been telling for years that he escaped from the second tower of the World Trade Center during the September 11 attacks.
We were pretty disgusted when we heard it was all just a lie.

But Pete Davidson, who recently joined the cast of Saturday Night Live, took special offense as he had lost his firefighter father on 9/11.
After hearing about the dishonesty, he tweeted sarcastically at Steve:
It’s ok @SteveRannazzisi people make mistakes … Can’t wait to meet my dad for lunch later
— Pete Davidson (@petedavidson) September 16, 2015
Steve clearly didn’t get the sarcasm because he responded:
To which Pete replied:
I think you missed the point … https://t.co/Fk9imfD6ut
— Pete Davidson (@petedavidson) September 16, 2015
Steve must have figured it out because he then quickly deleted his tweet.
But the most interesting thing was what happened afterward, not in the public eye — because a bit later Pete tweeted:
All kidding aside this @SteveRannazzisi story sucks because he’s actually a funny comic and I love The League. It’s fucked up
— Pete Davidson (@petedavidson) September 16, 2015
Take it easy on @SteveRannazzisi … He reached out to me and is truly sorry. We all sometimes lie and exaggerate a story to seem cooler …
— Pete Davidson (@petedavidson) September 16, 2015
..Unfortunately this is a very touchy topic n very near n dear 2 peoples hearts. Its years later but he apologized n owned up 2 it like a man
— Pete Davidson (@petedavidson) September 16, 2015
Pete must have believed in the sincerity of Steve’s apology to turn around like that.
Here’s how Steve apologized to the public on Twitter:
it is to the victims of 9/11 and to the people that love them–and the people that love me–that I ask for forgiveness.
— Stephen Rannazzisi (@SteveRannazzisi) September 16, 2015
It was profoundly disrespectful to those who perished and those who lost loved ones. The stupidity and guilt I have felt for many years has
— Stephen Rannazzisi (@SteveRannazzisi) September 16, 2015
not abated. It was an early taste of having a public persona, and I made a terrible mistake.
— Stephen Rannazzisi (@SteveRannazzisi) September 16, 2015
Can YOU forgive Steve like Pete apparently has??
Shiloh Jolie-Pitt: Being Bullied as a Result of Gender Indentity?
Late last year, several media outlets reported that 9-year-old Shiloh Jolie-Pitt self-identifies as a boy, and that her family is researching transition options.
Most celebrities had the sense not to comment on a grade schooler’s gender identity, but model Amber Rose called Shiloh a “trans-kid” in a tweet that was quickly deleted – but not before it attracted dozens of hateful comments.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have reportedly been worried about Shiloh being bullied for several years, and now that her preference for gender-neutral clothing has attracted unwanted attention, the couple is said to be more concerned than ever.
“Brad and Angie have been doing everything possible to protect her from being bullied by her peers and outsiders,” a source close to the family tells Radar. “They have also been gently setting the tone for how their five other children interact with Shiloh.
“After seeking out professional advice on how to help Shiloh, Brad and Angelina were told to let her dress however she wanted.
“Angelina is very accepting of Shiloh’s choices, and Brad is as well. However, Brad wondered if Shiloh was just a tomboy and would outgrow it.
“Brad was told Shiloh would have gravitated towards dressing as a boy, and being called John, even if her siblings were all girls,” the source previously claimed. “It’s just the way Shiloh is, and there is nothing that they did wrong as parents.”
The Jolie-Pitts are fiercely protective of their privacy, so it may be years before we receive any confirmation regarding Shiloh’s gender identity, but it’s good to know that whatever she decides, she’ll have the full, loving support of her parents.
