Amber Marchese: Leaving The Real Housewives of New Jersey

After just one season, Amber Marchese has decided not to return to The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

In a statement to People Magazine, Marchese gave her reasons for leaving the show, which she accuses of not allowing viewers to know the real her.

“Jim and I have been giving Real Housewives of New Jersey a lot of thought and given the current state of affairs regarding our personal lives and the direction of the show, we officially decided to move on,” the statement reads. “The show was not what we expected it to be, and I want to pursue more suitable endeavors.”

Marchese famously butted heads with twins Teresa Aprea and Nicole Napolitano.

“I was picked on a casting call while pursuing acting, and the person that was presented was created for the show,” she said.  “I had little control over content, situations, or what they decide to show the viewers.

“Even my relationship with the twins was created. I recruited them for my storyline after I was chosen,” she says. “I only met with Teresa Guidice and Dina Manzo for filming purposes. I never built a friendship with them as we were nothing more than co-workers. I wish them all well and the best of luck, although, my husband does not share my sentiments.”

Marchese documents her second battle against breast cancer as a blogger for People.

“I just want to thank everyone who has supported me and has shown nothing but kindness through my difficult times. It is a dream as an aspiring actress to get a lead role, but as with all careers, as one door closes, God willing, another one will open,” she says.

“For anyone following my story, I plan on continuing my blog. God bless to all!”

Radar Online reports that no one has signed a contract for season 7.  The only ones who are all but guaranteed to return are Melissa Gorga, Jacqueline Laurita and Teresa Giudice, who will be released from prison on December 23rd.

Remember Kim DePaola?  The chick who tried unsuccessfully to elbow her way into the cast?  She’s “been talking to the head producer” about returning.

According to Radar, “They want Kim on.”

So DiPaolo is the Kristin Cavallari of RHONJ.  Good for her.

Josh Duggar: Bailing on Rehab Months Ahead of Schedule?

Last we checked on Josh Duggar, the disgraced 27-year-old husband and father had checked into rehab for sex addiction after it was revealed that he’d paid prostitutes for sex and used an Ashley Madison account to try and cheat on his wife.

As more details about Josh’s rehab were revealed, it became clear that the secretive Reformers Unanimous center in rural Illinois is more like a faith-based boot camp than a treatment facility.

Sources claimed that Josh was to spend six months atoning for his sins by putting in 10-hour days of hard labor and reflecting on his actions in marathon prayer sessions that begin as early as 4 am.

So perhaps it’s not surprising that several insiders are claiming Josh has decided to bail on the program several months ahead of schedule and will soon be headed home.

The program is reportedly broken up into 45-day segments, after each of which, residents must choose whether they’d like to re-enroll or call it quits.

Josh has yet to reach the end of his second segment, but he’s reportedly already told the center’s administrators that he believes 90 days of treatment is sufficient, and that he’s eager to get back to Arkansas in order to fix her marriage.

After spending some time with her parents in Florida, Anna Duggar has reportedly returned to Arkansas (a decision prompted in part by the fact that Josh’s dad, Jim Bob Duggar, bought her a house), and sources say she’s excited about the prospect of Josh’s early return.

So we guess this is our last chance to say: RUN, ANNA! RUN WHILE YOU STILL CAN!!!

The Walking Dead Casts Iconic Comic Book Villain

The Walking Dead has found an actor to come on board in the iconic role of Negan.

And it’s a face with which television fans are very familiar.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan – who rose to small screen prominence as Denny Duquette on Grey’s Anatomy and also as John Winchester on Supernaturual – has been cast as the villainous character made famous in the Robert Kirkman comic book series.

He will guest star on The Walking Dead Season 6 finale and then be upgraded to series regular status on The Walking Dead Season 7, which has already been ordered by AMC.

According to the comics on which this smash hit is based, Negan is the leader of the Saviors, a ruthless group of survivors.

He actually kills Glenn with his barbed wire-covered baseball bat (named Lucille), which is an interesting note because viewers are currently wondering whether Glenn is already dead, following his fall into a pit of Walkers two weeks ago.

The Hollywood Reporter states that Matt Dillon and Timothy Olyphant were also under consideration for the role.

Morgan, meanwhile, is currently stealing every single scene on The Good Wife Season 7.

He’s been sizzling up that CBS drama as private investigator Jason Crause, though this AMC booking means he’s unlikely to return for Season 8.

Oprah Defends The Kardashians: They Work Hard!

Oprah Winfrey has validated the Kardashians.

Winfrey, like many of us, is all about hard work and sacrifice in order to reach your goals (also, THE SECRET).

Australian radio hosts Kyle and Jackie O rang up Oprah for a bit of a chat, and they brought up Rebel Wilson‘s recent comments about the Kardashians having no talent.

Wilson claimed that she earned her fame the hard way, and the Kardashians owe their success to a sex tap.

“It’s not that I hate any of them individually, but it’s just that everything they stand for is against everything I stand for,” Wilson explained.  “And they’re not famous for talent. I worked really hard to get where I’ve gotten to.”

Not true, according to Winfrey.

“People don’t understand that, people think, ‘Oh, if a television camera’s just following you, then that’s just easy,"” Winfrey, who interviewed the family two years ago, said.

“To really create a reality series that looks like something’s actually happening, it means you have to be on all the time.”

Winfrey noted that after a full seven hours of taping interviews, they still had another 7 hours of filming to do for Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

“No matter who you are, that is work,” Winfrey said.
