Blake Lively Instagrams About Her Butt, Royally Pisses Off Internet

Back in 1992, Sir Mix-A-Lot released “Baby Got Back,” his famous ode to big asses that many credit with helping to launch the national butt obsession that continues to this day.

Needless, to say Kim Kardashian owes a lot to the rapper. Blake Lively, on the other hand, is learning the hard way today that Mix-A-Lot’s lyrics are dangerous in the wrong hands.

Last night, Blake posted the above photo of herself at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival with a caption reading, “LA face with an Oakland booty.”

It’s a line from “Baby Got Back,” and Blake clearly meant to call attention to her proudest assets because…having paparazzi scream her name while she walks the red carpet in a gown that costs more than most people’s cars doesn’t do enough for her ego?

We’re not really sure, but the caption did not go over well with some of Blakes’ Instagram followers. 

Many have complained that the remark is racially insensitive, as the implication of the lyric is that women from the primarily black and Latino city of Oakland are more blessed in the backside area, and Blake is essentially reducing them to a punchline here.

It’s not the first time that Blake has been accused of co-opting or other cultures or displaying a lack of compassion for the plight of black people in America.

Last year, Lively wrote about her love for the style antebellum South on her short-lived Preserve website.

In case you’re not familiar “antebellum” means pre-war, which in this case means pre-Civil War, which means Blake was waxing nostalgic about a time before slavery was abolished.

The piece was poorly received and may have contributed to the site being shut down.

Most of her press coverage lately has centered around rumors about Blake’s second pregnancy (which she has yet to confirm), and while the 28-year-old was reportedly not happy with the invasion of her privacy, she likely preferred the bump-watch to this current controversy. 

We’re not gonna wade into the debate over whether Blake’s caption was inappropriate or simply an innocent (if somewhat insensitive) joke, but we will say we had no idea she was packing such a sizable ‘donk.

And for that, we thank her.

Lyuba Savenok: Pregnant Mom Slain, Husband Charged With Double Murder

Lyuba Savenok, a 23-year-old mother of two, has been slain – and her husband charged with her murder and that of her unborn child.

Yevgeniy “Eugene” Savenok, 30, is now facing a life sentence if convicted in the gruesome stabbing death of his wife and their son.

The baby died minutes after being delivered in an emergency C-section, according to the criminal complaint obtained by multiple sources.

This shocking tragedy occurred in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.

Police were called to a domestic disturbance at the couple’s home on Saturday morning, where they found Lyuba lying on the floor.

She was suffering from stab wounds to her chest, shoulder and neck, with a knife sticking out of her chest. 

Lyuba, who was 26 weeks pregnant, died at the hospital, where an emergency C-section was performed in attempt to save her unborn child.

The little boy lived for several minutes before he died.

Her younger sister, Alisa Katane, was present in the couple’s home when Yevgeniy allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and attacked her.

He put his wife in a headlock and held it the weapon to her wife’s throat, according to the criminal complaint; Alisa raced to call 911.

The teen told police that Yevgeniy put the pair’s two kids, Matthew, 4, and Vivienne, 3, in a car and fled, leaving his dying wife inside.

As Lyuba’s accused murderer remains in jail ahead of a court hearing on Wednesday, her family has issued a statement to the media.

The Katane family’s remarks are as follows:

“It’s hard for us to once again hear the details of Lyuba’s senseless murder. Her family, friends and loved ones feel deep sadness, loss and anger.”

“It has been especially difficult to learn that her son survived for a small time after the doctors tried to save him. Lyuba was going to name him Ellis.”

“We are assured knowing that we live in a country where justice will be served and we are grateful that the children are both safe and cared for by Lyuba’s parents.”

Her brother Aleksandr Katane continued:

“As the report states my sister Alisa, 14, escaped the house as Lyuba was murdered so we are relieved to know that she is also safe.”

“Currently the entire family is focused on celebrating Lyuba’s life at her funeral and also caring for her two remaining children.”

“Lyuba was in a very difficult marriage and no stone will be left unturned as we look for answers.”

“However at this time let’s focus on celebrating her life, passions and coming together to set her children up for success.”

Josh Duggar Returns to Work One Year After Sex Scandals

One year ago this week, the world learned that as a teen, Josh Duggar molested five young girls, four of whom were his younger sisters. 

The ensuing scandal irreparably damaged the reputation of a family that was once famous for its wholesomeness and piety, and many believed the Duggars would never recover, particularly after it was revealed that Josh used an Ashley Madison account to help him cheat on his wife as recently as last year.

In July of 2015, TLC canceled 19 Kids and Counting and it briefly looked as though we’d seen the last of the Duggars.

These days, the family has regained some of it lost as a result of Josh’s transgressions.

They’ve even returned to television with a new series that rather conspicuously doesn’t feature much of the Jim Bob and Milchelle (who allegedly helped cover up their sons crimes) or any of Josh.

Well, after six months of in-patient rehab for sex and pornography addictions, Josh returned home to Arkansas back in March.

For the most part, he’s been keeping a low profile, but Josh recently resurfaced at a mini-golf establishment in Tennessee, much to the chagrin of some of the other families who were hitting the links that day.

Now, People magazine is reporting that Josh appears to have returned to work and was recently spotted helping restore used cars to be sold a dealership operated by his father.

As part of his job, Josh occasionally meets with customers, and sources say he doesn’t appear to have any difficulty with that aspect of the business.

One insider tells the magazine that Josh “looks happy” and “interacts very well with people.”

Given how long he kept his ugly past a secret while living the life of a “family values advocate” and even joking about incest on national television, we’re not surprised that Josh has had little difficulty in moving on, especially since he was never punished.

Something tells us things haven’t been as easy for as victims.
