The mother of two took to this social media platform on Sunday in celebration and gratitude over hitting 55 million friends, sharing the above image and writing as a caption to it:

It’s safe to assume that this photo of Kim Kardashian was taken long before she gave birth on December 5 to a son named Saint West.
It’s not the first time she has celebrated a social media milestone this year, either.
Back in February, Kardashian thanked her 27 million Instagram followers with a racy thong shot.
By August, the number of Likes had grown to 42 million and it was time for a cleavage close-up.
In October, that figure had swelled up to over 50 million and Kim got goofy for the occasion.
Yes, Kardashian has amassed quite the number of online friends and followers over the course of just a few months.
That’s what happens, we guess, when you have large breasts and are willing to show them off at all times.
Kardashian still trails Taylor Swift in number of Instagram followers, however, though we know how she can likely catapult the singer and retake the top spot:
