Mark Salling: Could His Computer Have Been Hacked?

Mark Salling has a shady incident in his past.

He was once accused of sexual assault, settling the lawsuit out of court for millions of dollars.

Mark Salling has a reputation as a ladies’ man.

“He loves going out and has always been a big flirt – constantly hitting on women at parties,” a Hollywood insider tells People Magazine of the actor, adding:

“He came across as skeezy.”

But still.

Despite these facts and claims, those close to the former Glee star still cannot wrap their heads around the star’s arrest this week.

Early Tuesday morning, Salling was arrested on charges of child pornography.

Partly based on an interview with an ex-girlfriend of Salling’s, police obtained a search warrant and used it to comb through Salling’s desktop computer, along with his tablet and cellphone.

According to TMZ, they discovered hundreds of images on the computer, many of which featured kids under the age of 10 in sexual situations.

Could some kind of mistake have been made, though?

“This isn’t the guy I know at all,” a friend of Salling tells People. “I have to believe his computer was hacked.”

It’s understandable that someone close to Salling would think this, of course.

The actor was booked in downtown Los Angeles and later released on $ 20,000 bail on Tuesday.

A court date for the actor behind the Glee character of Noah Puckerman has been set for January 22, 2016, according to L.A. County Sheriff’s Department records.
