There are some celebrities who make insane demands on personal assistants and/or staff. The “no eye contact” is a classic, rumored to be used by several A-list starts over the years.
Is Jennifer Lopez one of them?
According to In Touch Weekly, Lopez had dinner at The London Hotel in West Hollywood recently, and handed the staff a “list of crazy rules.“
On that list was the ole’ “avert your eyes because I’m special” rule.
A source allegedly told the tabloid that “No one was allowed to make eye contact with Jennifer under any circumstance.”
Lopez, the story claims, “refused to talk to anyone” and “made her security stop fans from getting near her for autographs or selfies.”
Eh, maybe not, says Gossip Cop, who checked with a source close to Lopez and confirmed that no rules were established and no stage-five clingers were manhandled by security.
The rumor-busting site was told by the source that Lopez was indeed at The London for an American Idol after party, and was “nothing but lovely to everyone.”
Lopez recently spoke to Glamour about balancing her workload (she stars on NBC’s Shades of Blue and has a Las Vegas residency). When asked what advice she would give to her 20-something self, she had this to say:
“Love yourself more. Value yourself more. Realize you have worth and value. I think that took me a longer time to learn. People think if you work hard and are successful that you’re doing that, but it doesn’t necessarily go in tandem one with the other.
:I think if I would have done that, I would have saved myself a lot of heartache.”
