Kourtney Kardashian: Quitting Reality TV to Go to Law School?!

In some ways, the Kardashian family is like a microcosm of America.

Obviously, the country as a whole has a significantly lower population of people whose careers began when their moms sold their sex tape to a porn company, but examining the Kard clan gives you a good idea of what it takes to get by in the U.S. of A, and sadly, sometimes shamelessness trumps education. Just ask Kourtney…

Even if you religiously watch Keeping Up With the Kardashians online, you may not have been aware that unlike all of her other siblings, Kourtney has a college degree.

After high school, Kourtney attended the University of Arizona, where she obtained a degree in theater arts with a minor in Spanish.

This seems to have done little for her career, and if her younger sister hadn’t recorded herself making O-faces with Ray J, we’d probably still have no idea who Kourtney is.

But fame can be a cruel mistress, and now, after a decade or so of getting knocked up by a drunk douche for our entertainment, the eldest Kardashian sister is reportedly ready to say goodbye to the lime light.

Yes, according to Radar Online, Kourtney is planning to go back to school…possibly to become a lawyer.

“Kourtney’s wants to get her masters in Spanish and is looking at doing a law degree online, which will take at least three years,” a family source tells the website.

“She really wants to slowly withdraw from the public eye…She doesn’t want to rely on the family’s cash for her livelihood and, unlike her ex,” Scott Disick, “she wants to stand on her own two feet and raise their three kids with a good role model mom.”

Well, we commend Kourtney’s commitment to education, but we think it might be harder than she realizes to go from realty star to practicing lawyer with an online degree.

It almost some kind of hokey spinoff for a TV show…Aw, crap. That’s what’s going on here, isn’t it?
