Ever since Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian first hooked up, critics could see dollar signs in her eyes.
She was accused of hitching her then dimly-lit star to the Kardashian wagon, hoping to find fame and fortune through association with the family who made being famous for nothing popular.
So far, it’s worked. Blac Chyna has received more publicity than ever in her three months with Rob, and now that they’re engaged, it shows no signs of slowing.
However, while there was talk last month of Blac negotiating for a small part on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, a source now tells TMZ that this will NOT happen.
Blac wants nothing to do with the Kardashian empire, which means she will not appear on the show or make herself beholden to Kris Jenner and her management tactics in any way.
In fact, she thinks that such a move would harm her brand.
Her goal is to create an empire of her own, Paris Hilton-style (what?), and hawk everything from fake eyelashes to purses.
The source also asserts that Blac believes she has not gained popularity due to her relationship with Rob, and that she is the one who has catapulted her fiance’s fame.
Uh, okay.
While it’s true that the once-reclusive Rob has come out of his shell and enjoyed the spotlight far more since he became involved with Blac, the man was infinitely more known than Blac, and he’ll never have to worry about money.
While he may be a bit of a black sheep in the family, his mom still adores him and he could opt to jump on the Kard fame truck any time he wanted.
However, Rob now sees himself as his fiance’s business partner.
He’s even been promoting her lipsticks on his Instagram account, which many saw as a diss to his sister Kylie Jenner, who has been promoting her lip kits ad nauseam.
If this indeed will be a battle between RobChyna and the Kardashian-Jenner crew, we’re betting on the latter.
