Tyler Baltierra to Catelynn Lowell: Please Come Home Soon!

Last month, Catelynn Lowell checked into rehab after publicly revealing that she’d been battling suicidal thoughts and severe depression.

Lowell has remained at the faciity ever since, and while she’s been unable to update her many social media followers, her husband, Tyler Baltierra, assures fans that she’s making steady progress and hopes to be home soon.

“My wife is incredibly strong & courageous,” Tyler tweeted earlier this week.

“She inspires me to just be a better human being all around & I’m so honored to share my life with such a selfless soul. I love her so much & can’t wait for her to be home.”

He added the hashtag” #CatelynnStrong,” which Teen Mom: OG fans have been using to discuss their own battles with mental illness and the strength that they’ve gained from seeing Lowell be so candid about her struggles.

The weeks since Catelynn checked into treatment have not been without their fair share of drama, but thankfully, Lowell has been shielded from it for the sake of her mental health.

Just this week, Catelynn’s cast mate Farrah Abraham attacked her on Twitter, claiming that she still smokes pot regularly (despite her claims to the contrary) and that Baltierra is secretly gay.

Tyler dealt with the situation himself on Twitter.

“Well today I thought of every way to kill myself.. so I’m going to treatment #makeChesterProud @TalindaB #KeepTalkingMH #thiswontlast,” Catelynn tweeted just prior to entering treatment back in November.

She referenced the late Linkin Park Chester Bennington, who took his own life in July, and tagged the Linkin Park singer’s wife, Talinda.

“I’m taking the time I need right now to take care of myself for good,” Lowell told Us Weekly in a statement issued later that day.

“On November 17th I thought of every possible way to commit suicide … From wrapping a belt around my neck to just running my car into an electric pole.

“THANK GOD I have a support system and a HUSBAND and a DAUGHTER … thank god I am self-aware,” she added.

“I’m seeking treatment and I WILL get better … anyone feeling alone you ARE NOT ALONE! This world needs all of us! We are all here for a reason … Thank you for your support during this tough time.”

There’s no word yet on when Catelynn will receive treatment, but Baltierra says her treatment has been going smoothly, and

“We’ve been in Arizona for the past 2 weeks visiting her every Sunday,” Tyler recently wrote on Instagram.

“I have taken a break from everything & chose to really take this time for me and Nova … Without her mom around, she needs me & my devoted attention. Family always comes first!”

Here’s hoping Catelynn continues to receive the love and support she needs.

Farrah Abraham & Tyler Baltierra Clash Over Claims That He"s Gay

Farrah Abraham is essentially a bratty child with a social media following in the millions.

And as she"s demonstrated many times, that can be a very dangerous thing.

Earlier this week, Farrah went off on ALL of her Teen Mom: OG co-stars for reasons that still aren"t entirely clear.

Without citing any evidence, she suggested that Catelynn Lowell"s husband, Tyler Baltierra, is secretly gay.

Now, Tyler is clapping back in a way that"s sure to get Farrah"s goat…

1. The Pettiest Mom

Farrah abraham up close personal

Farrah has long been the most irritable, petty cast member on Teen Mom: OG, but this week she reached a new low, attacking all of her co-stars on social media for no apparent reason.

2. One-Woman Roast Battle

“I’m just happy amber stays In bed, Maci sits on the couch, Catelynn smokes weed in her car , Tyler’s gays still doesn’t admit it, I travel the world & know how to run businesses #teenmom @mtv all I can say is #WOW,” Farrah tweeted Monday night.

3. Apropos of Nothing

Farrah abraham blonde for single af

The tweet followed an episode of Teen Mom: OG, but seemed to have nothing to do with what transpired on the show. In fact, as with most episodes of TM: OG, Farrah in no way interacted with her co-stars over the course of the hour.

4. Feeling Threatened?

Catelynn lowell and tyler baltierra snuggles

Farrah doubled-down in her criticism of Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra. No other couple on the show was subjected to TWO Farrah burns. The question is, why?

5. The Reason

Catelynn lowell with tyler baltierra photo

Many fans have speculated that the reason Farrah seems especially pissed at Tyler and Catelynn is the episode focused on their business ventures, and Ms. Abraham likes to think of herself as the only true mogul on the cast.

6. Only Farrah

Very few people think it’s an insult to be called gay or a pothead in 2017, and those who do are unquestionably morons. So it’s not surprising that Farrah is one of them. Fortunately, Tyler didn’t shy away from the conflict.

Tyler Baltierra Shares Cryptic Message About Catelynn Lowell: Is She OK?!

Just when we thought we couldn’t possibly be more worried about Catelynn Lowell …

Buckle up, because the sadness is coming all over again.

As you likely know, Catelynn has been staying in a treatment center for the past few weeks, getting help for her issues with depression and anxiety.

She’s been open for years now about her mental illnesses, and how after she gave birth to her second daughter, Nova, postpartum depression nearly wrecked her.

She had Nova in January of 2015, and it wasn’t until March of 2016 that she finally made the step to get treatment the first time. Unfortunately, we’re seeing now that she still struggles with depression.

On November 17th, she tweeted “Well today I thought of every way to kill myself.. so I’m going to treatment.”

She elaborated on this in a statement she released to a few media outlets, explaining that “I’m taking the time I need right now to take good care of myself.”

She said that that day she had “thought of every way possible to commit suicide… from wrapping a belt around my neck to just running my car into an electric pole.”

“Thank GOD I have a support system and a HUSBAND and a DAUGHTER… thank god I am self aware… I’m seeking treatment and I WILL get better.”

Catelynn traveled down to Arizona, accompanied by Tyler, and they got her checked into rehab.

She stayed there through Thanksgiving and into the beginning of this month, but as a source revealed earlier this week, she planned on checking out early on Friday, against doctor’s orders.

“It wasn’t planned for Catelynn to get out,” the source revealed. “They had a group/family session during their visit and Catelynn pretty much said she wanted to go home.”

The insider also claimed that though she was “no longer on suicide watch,” her counselors still believed that “more time in treatment would be beneficial.”

Tyler was reportedly concerned about her decision to leave treatment early, but the issue was that Cate felt guilty about being away from her family, especially little Nova, during the holidays.

So did she end up coming home?

She hasn’t posted anything on social media announcing her return, but Tyler did share this photo on Snapchat:

“Cuddles with my family is just the best!” he gushed about the photo of Catelynn and Nova lying on him — and it looks like they’re in their own house.

But another post he made on Snapchat has us pretty concerned.

Last night, he posted a series of videos while driving down a highway. He captioned the video “My song to Cate,” and he filmed the road while the entirety of Chord Overstreet’s “Hold On” played.

If you’re not familiar with the song, let’s take a look at some of lyrics, all right?

The first verse contains phrases like “I can’t imagine a world with you gone” and “I’d be so lost if you left me alone,” so it’s not really a great start.

“You locked yourself in the bathroom,” the verse continues, “Lying on the floor when I break through. I pull you in to feel your heartbeat. Can you hear me screaming ‘please don’t leave me’?”

It sounds like it’s a song about a guy whose girlfriend made a suicide attempt, which is pretty alarming, considering what Catelynn’s been going through.

The chorus says “Hold on, I still want you. Come back, I still need you. Let me take your hand, I’ll make it right. I swear to love you all my life. Hold on, I still need you.”

We’re not exactly sure what’s going on with this precious little family, but we still wish them all the best right now.

Catelynn Lowell: Doing Well in Rehab with Support of Tyler Baltierra!

Catelynn Lowell has been through many, many things so far in her life.

Her father hasn"t been around all that much, her mother was emotionally abusive when she was younger, and it"s clear that she really struggled with her decision to place her daughter, Carly, for adoption.

In addition to all of that, or perhaps because of it, she"s had issues with depression and anxiety for much of her life.

Last year, things had gotten so bad with her postpartum depression that she went off to spend a few weeks in an inpatient facility to try to get a handle on things.

And a couple of weeks ago, she revealed that she"d once again be heading off to get treatment.

Is she doing any better now?

Read on to find out …

1. Catelynn’s Struggles

Catelynns struggles

In November, Catelynn shocked us all by tweeting “Well today I thought of every way to kill myself.. so I’m going to treatment.” Teen Mom fans know she struggles with her mental health, but we had no idea things had gotten this bad again.

2. So Sad

Catelynn lowell purple hair

She further shocked us in an official statement she released, one that read “I’m taking the time I need right now to take good care of myself… On November 17th I thought of every way possible to commit suicide… from wrapping a belt around my neck to just running my car into an electric pole… THANK GOD I have a support system and a HUSBAND and a DAUGHTER… thank god I am self aware… I’m seeking treatment and I WILL get better… anyone feeling alone you ARE NOT ALONE! This world needs all of us! We are all here for a reason… Thank you for your support during this tough time…. Much Love, Catelynn Baltierra.”

3. Off to Rehab

So Tyler escorted her to a treatment center in Arizona to get a handle on things … and speaking of Tyler, can we gush about him for a moment?

4. Oh, Tyler …

Cate lowell and tyler baltierra

He and Catelynn have been together since middle school, which is insane. Through the years, they’ve grown together and supported each other through so much, and it’s obvious that he’s being strong for her now.

5. Incredibly Proud

He tweeted that message after Catelynn revealed her plans to enter rehab … so sweet, right?

6. Love You More

Shortly after that, he shared this darling little snippet of some text messages between the two of them.

Tyler Baltierra: I Need Help, Too!

Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra just can’t catch a break, huh?

They’re both only 25 years old, and yet they’ve already been through more trauma than many people face in an entire lifetime.

Right now, they’re going through a rough patch — Catelynn is staying in a treatment center in Arizona to deal with her anxiety and depression.

Earlier this month, she announced via Twitter that she’d be checking into rehab, saying “Well today I thought of every way to kill myself.. so I’m going to treatment.”

Then, in an additional statement, she explained that “I’m taking the time I need right now to take good care of myself.”

“On November 17th I thought of every way possible to commit suicide… from wrapping a belt around my beck to just running my car into an electric pole…’

“THANK GOD I have a support system and a HUSBAND and a DAUGHTER,” she continued. “Thank god I am self aware… I’m seeking treatment and I WILL get better.”

“Anyone feeling alone you ARE NOT ALONE! This world needs all of us! We are all here for a reason… Thank you for your support during this tough time,” she finished.

After releasing that statement, she flew out to Arizona, accompanied by Tyler, and they got her checked into the treatment center.

Since then, things haven’t exactly been easy.

On Thanksgiving, Tyler shared a clip from the new season of Teen Mom OG and gushed about how beautiful Catelynn looked in it.

He also wrote that “It’s going to be a rough holiday without being able to kiss her & tell her how thankful I am for her, but we have a strong resilience crafted by our past, we got this!”

As you can see, he’s freely admitting that he’s having a hard time without Catelynn — but it sounds like things may be even worse than he’s letting on.

According to a source close to Catelynn and Tyler who spoke with Radar Online, things are so bad that Tyler is seeking out treatment of his own.

“Tyler seemed beside himself” when Catelynn left for rehab, the source reveals.

“He already has his next appointment for therapy scheduled. He’s super self aware so I know he’s going to be in therapy a lot.”

Right now, the source says that Catelynn’s mother, April, is babysitting their daughter frequently “so Tyler can have some time to focus on himself.”

“Their daughter will be OK and well taken care of,” the insider insists.

This person also says that “everything will be OK” between Catelynn and Tyler, too.

“He will help her get better and will let her know he isn’t going anywhere,” the source claims.

So that’s a lot of information, huh?

It sounds kind of vague — like Tyler could be seeking his own in-patient treatment, or like he’s just been setting up some appointments with a therapist.

Whatever he decides to do, it’s probably a good idea. Although he hasn’t seemed to struggle with depression as much as Catelynn has lately, he still has a history with the illness.

In one especially heartbreaking episode of Teen Mom OG, we learned that he tried to hang himself when he was just 12 years old — after the attempt, he said he had to walk around with rope burns on his neck for weeks.

Considering that, plus his troubled history with his father, all the heartache that came from placing their first child for adoption …

Therapy could really do nothing but good for Tyler.

Here’s hoping for the best for this precious little family.

Tyler Baltierra Gets Emotional on Twitter About Catelynn Lowell: What Did He Say?!

Tyler Baltierra has had a rough week.

In the last few days alone, his wife, Catelynn Lowell returned to a treatment facility after revealing she has had suicidal thoughts. In the aftermath, he offended the whole internet with a racist slur.

So, it comes as no surprise that he’s feeling a little sentimental right about now. With the holidays in full swing, the Teen Mom star took to Twitter in response to a video showing Catelynn in happier times being shared by the official Teen Mom Twitter page.

The video found Lowell chatting with her co-stars about what she is thankful for this holiday, and it apparently hit Tyler right in the feels because he detailed his reaction to the video right after.

He commented: “My god! My wife looks absolutely beautiful in this #HappyThanksgiving @TeenMom clip! It’s going to be a rough holiday without being able to kiss her & tells her how thankful I am for her, but we have a strong resilience crafter by our past, we got this!”

Tyler Baltierra Tweet

We can’t begin to imagine how difficult it must be to be apart from your significant other during the holidays, and Tyler has a legion of fans who came out in their droves to support him during this difficult time.

“You are an amazing husband. I’m sure she’s missing you all terribly.” said one Teen Mom devotee.

“This year is extra special, even though you’re not together physically,” another wrote. “You should really be thankful she’s still here with you. Stay strong; we’re all rooting for you guys!”

It was previously reported that Catelynn would be making her way to rehab after having suicidal thoughts. The Teen Mom star confirmed the news herself in a courageous post on Twitter.

“Well today I thought of every way to kill myself.. so I’m going to treatment #makeChesterProud @TalindaB #KeepTalkingMH #thiswontlast,” Catelynn tweeted last Friday.

Tyler drove his wife to admit her to the facility and took to Twitter at the time to share his thoughts on the matter, and it was clear he was deeply hurt by everything that was happening.

“We haven’t held each other & just cried like that for a long time,” Tyler wrote after leaving Catelynn’s rehab. “Even after 12 years, I continue to be AMAZED by her strength, vulnerability, & courage to get help.”

He even went as far as quoting his wedding vows. But then Tyler shocked the land of Teen Mom by using a racial slur on Snapchat after having a few drinks in a bar.

He did make a swift apology and confirmed that he was letting off some steam in the aftermath of what happened with Catelynn.

It’s understandable that someone would want to forget about everything after such an emotional experience, but it made him look like an idiot.

We wish Catelynn a speedy recovery and hope Tyler does not get too drunk at his Thanksgiving celebrations.

What do you think about all of this?

Tyler Baltierra SLAMMED for Using Racial Slur!

Tyler Baltierra has a lot on his plate lately.

Which, in this instance, is a nice way of saying that his life is kind of a tragic, upsetting mess right now.

On Friday, his wife, Catelynn Lowell, revealed that she’d be going off to rehab for a while after suffering from some suicidal thoughts.

She said that she spent much of Friday imagining various ways to kill herself before making the decision to get help, and on Saturday morning, Tyler tweeted that he’d dropped her off at a treatment center.

It’s obviously been a very emotional time for them — and for us, too, since they’ve been sharing so much with us.

“We haven’t held each other & just cried like that for a long time,” Tyler wrote after leaving Catelynn’s rehab. “Even after 12 years, I continue to be AMAZED by her strength, vulnerability, & courage to get help.”

He even quoted his own wedding vows, the part where he told her “As long as I am alive, you will never be alone,” and he called those words his “call to arms,” and said that he “will fight this war with her right by my side.”

“We will not surrender to this… I will go to battle EVERY TIME for her!”

It’s all very touching, right?

It’s a shame Tyler went and made himself look a fool immediately afterwards.

See, Catelynn decided to return to the treatment center that helped her out last time, the one out in Arizona. So it was a bit of a journey for Tyler to drop her off.

They apparently left their daughter, Nova, in Michigan, and very understandably so, because Tyler spent Saturday exploring a bit of the city — we know that because he documented it all on Snapchat.

That night, he ended up seeing some band play at a bar, and he got a little intoxicated.

In the video below, you can see drunk Tyler:

“All I know is that I’m f-cked up as f-ck right now,” he says. “You gotta see the crowd, n—a.”

Yep. Tyler said the N-word. On Snapchat. While wasted. After dropping his wife off at rehab to deal with suicidal thoughts.

It’s bad. Real bad.

The Grace Report, a popular Teen Mom blogger, saw the video and tweeted “Wonder if/when @TylerBaltierra will bring that trifling ass over here to explain.”

He did try to explain it by tweeting back that he is “a complete inconsiderate prick who made a mistake while attempting to take a mental break after dealing with everything.”

“I deserve any hate you all give me, so lay it on me.”

It’s nice that he admitted he did something wrong — he could have easily responded with “other people say that word, why can’t I?!”, so let’s be thankful he’s not quite that dumb.

But the fact remains that he used a racial slur, and his wife’s mental state doesn’t excuse that. At all.

Grace called him out for “playing the victim” in his response, and he said “Oh god no! Absolutely not playing the victim at all or making excuses.”

“I was drunk trying to blow off some steam after a very emotional week & I deserve any hate you throw at me, honestly. I own my mistakes.”

Grace went after him again for “trying to manipulate the issue & victimize yourself,” which is a pretty accurate assessment. He’s definitely trying to avoid a huge scandal by making himself seem pitiful.

“I’m definitely not trying to manipulate the issue at all,” Tyler insisted. “What I said was wrong, period! And I sincerely apologize for it.”

“Like I said before, I am aware & deserve all the backlash/hate/opinions or however you would like to describe it as, that comes my way.”

What do you think — should he be forgiven?

Catelynn Lowell Enters Rehab with Support of Tyler Baltierra

In a surprising, heartbreaking turn of events, Catelynn Lowell announced to fans that she"d be seeking treatment after having some suicidal thoughts yesterday.

This isn"t the first time she"s experienced big issues with her mental health — far from it.

But the fact that we"ve seen her go through this before doesn"t make it any easier to see this time around.

See why Catelynn felt the need to get help again, and what led her to this place, below …

1. The Beginning

Tyler baltierra and catelynn lowell photo

Catelynn has dealt with depression and anxiety for as long as she’s been famous — which makes sense, given her childhood. Her mother, April, was an emotionally abusive addict, and when Catelynn made the difficult decision to place her baby for adoption, she received nothing but criticism and ridicule from nearly everyone in her life.

2. Moving Forward

Catelynn lowell and tyler baltierra picture

In the years after giving birth that first time around, Catelynn tried to improve herself, but again, her mother was just unbelievably horrible towards her. Like, remember when she went shopping for her prom dress and her mom told her she looked ugly and called her a bitch? Things like that leave scars, no joke.

3. A NEW Beginning

Catelynn lowell baby bump

After several years together, Catelynn and Tyler welcomed their daughter, adorable little Nova, in January of 2015. It was a beautiful time, since they’d obviously struggled so much with the decision to place Carly for adoption.

4. Postpartum Depression

Catelynn lowell and baby

Unfortunately, Catelynn developed a particularly devastating case of postpartum depression after having Nova — and as we saw on Teen Mom OG, it nearly destroyed her.

5. Hard Times

Catelynn lowell on teen mom

It took over a year for Catelynn to seek help with her depression. In that time, we saw her barely able to get out of bed or get off the couch, and it seemed like her relationship with Tyler suffered for it.

6. Rehab, Take One

Catelynn lowell instagram photo

In March of 2016, she checked into rehab to treat her depression. She spent nearly three weeks away at a treatment center, but of course it wasn’t an immediate fix.

Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra Reveal BIG Baby News!

If there’s one thing you can say about those Teen Mom ladies, it’s that they sure know how to get pregnant!

(Yes, that’s literally the entire reason why they’re famous, their ability to get pregnant, but bear with us here.)

Just this year alone, Chelsea Houska, Jenelle Evans, Briana DeJesus, and Kailyn Lowry have given birth to new precious little angels.

On top of that, we just learned that Amber Portwood is expecting her second child, too.

So that leaves Leah Messer, Maci Bookout, Farrah Abraham, and Catelynn Lowell — those are the only moms who haven’t experienced pregnancy in 2017.

Leah is single and really focused on living her best life right now, so we don’t imagine she’ll get in on this Teen Mom baby boom.

Maci has her hands full with three kids, including two babies born back to back, so she’s probably out.

Farrah is … well, she’s pretty busy at the moment with what kind of looks like a mental breakdown.

So that leaves Catelynn!

Catelynn, as we know, is married to Tyler Baltierra, and although she suffered from severe postpartum depression after giving birth to her daughter Nova nearly three years ago, it seems like she’s doing much better now.

In recent appearances she looks happier and healthier than she has in a long time, and it’s just been a delight to see.

But does that mean she could be ready to have another child soon?

According to some tweets Tyler made, heck yes it does!

“When can we expect a pregnancy announcement out of you guys?” a fan asked on Twitter, adding the hashtag “ur next.”

We told you the Teen Mom baby boom is a thing.

But obviously fans of the show are going to expect babies left and right, that’s just the nature of it all.

What’s really interesting is Tyler’s response.

“Hopefully SOON,” he wrote, along with a smiley face emoji and that one of the person with his hands on his face with his mouth open.

Because yes, it is a shocking bit of news.

Not only did Tyler reveal that he and Catelynn are trying for another baby — that’s what we’re taking the tweet to mean, anyway — he also made it clear that this time around, he’s hoping for a boy.

Another fan told him that she’s praying they have a son next, and he replied with “ME TOO!”

Tyler has been open about wanting a baby boy for a while now, which is fair enough — they already have a daughter, Nova, and the baby they placed for adoption when they were 16 was also a girl.

We just hope that if Catelynn does get pregnant and they do end up having a boy, they’ve reconsidered their taste in baby names — if Nova had been a boy, Tyler once said they’d have picked the name Slade.

Slade Baltierra.

Honestly though, it sounds like they’re ready to welcome another child, and if that’s the case, then best wishes to them.

After all, there are definitely worse pregnancy announcements that could be made in the Teen Mom universe right now.

Catelynn Lowell & Tyler Baltierra: Caught Getting Drunk and Endangering Daughter?

Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra have long been regarded as the Teen Mom frianchise’s most stable couple.

Together since high school, the 25 year olds have faced a number of challenges together, including reluctantly putting their first child up for adoption.

Last week, Catelynn and Tyler met up with their first child, whom they hadn’t seen in over two years.

The couple was praised for their efforts to keep young Carly in their lives and working with her adoptive parents in order to make it possible.

This week, however, Catelynn and Tyler’s parenting is receiving a wealth of attention for a very different reason.

On the show that made them famous, the Baltierras have demonstarated a consistent dedication to providing the best possible life for 2-year-old Novalee.

However, the couple’s latest social media posts offered evidence of a major lapse in that dedication.

For reasons that are clear only to him, Tyler recently uploaded a number of Snapchat posts that show him and Catelynn funneling booze in front of Novalee.

To the chagrin of many fans, little Nova was playing in a pool in the distance while her parents sucked down large quantities of beer.

“Playing by a pool while her parents are beer bonging,” commented one irate follower.

“Great job. Let’s suck down alcohol while my daughter is watching,” wrote another.

Sadly, the bad decision making continued from there.

Catelynn and Tyler then took the party to a new location, piling into a car with a driver who, as many fans pointed out, appeared to be highly intoxicated.

There’s no indication of Nova’s whereabouts in these later videos, and thankfully, she doesn’t appear to be in the car.

The footage is especially troubling as Catelynn checked herself into rehab just last year, citing emotional difficulties and “psychological drud dependencies.”

Alcohol was reportedly not her drug of choice, but it’s probably still best that she refrain from heavy drinking for the time being.

Especially in the presence of her very young daughter.

Catelynn and Tyler have yet to respond to the uproar over their behavior, but fans have made it clear these two have some explaining to do.

Tyler Baltierra Shares Touching Message to Catelynn Lowell on Their Anniversary!

When you think about it, Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra really are remarkable, right?

They’ve been through so much together — after all, they’ve been dating for 12 (!!!) years.

If you can even believe it, these two started dating when they were just 13 years old, and ever since then, their lives have been a roller coaster ride.

And not always a fun one.

They both grew up with extremely troubled home lives: Tyler’s father was in and out of jail with his drug addiction, and Catelynn’s mother was pretty darn emotionally abusive, from what we’ve seen in early seasons of Teen Mom.

We can’t imagine those issues got any better when their parents got married after they began dating, making them step-siblings.

Then, a few years later, Catelynn got pregnant, and after taking a good, hard look at their situation, she and Tyler made the very selfless, very mature decision to place their baby for adoption.

A decision that earned them an alarming amount of ridicule and shame from their parents.

It’s all just so very sad, isn’t it?

But through it all, they had each other.

And they still do!

Yesterday, they celebrated their second wedding anniversary, and to mark the special occasion, Tyler shared a special message to Catelynn on Instagram.

“HAPPY ANNIVERSARY babe,” he wrote. “We have been together for 12 years & now 2 of those years we have been married.”

“I am so lucky to have found you when I did. I love you SO much!”

Precious, right?

He also shared his wedding vows to her, which, you may remember, were pretty much the best wedding vows in the history of reality show weddings.

Maybe even weddings in general, it’s hard to say.

And hey, since it was just their anniversary, and since Tyler shared them again and everything, why don’t we revisit those vows?

First, grab some tissues, brace yourself, maybe grab a pet or a stuffed animal or something … and here we go.

“Catelynn,” his vows began, “from middle school sweethearts at the tender age of 13, to two teens in a crisis facing the odds together, to becoming parents and building a household together, to playfully goofing around together like children as if no one is watching …”

“All of these things and many more are the reason I want to make a promise to you, a promise that as long as I’m alive you will never be alone, you will never question if you are beautiful, you will never doubt that you are worthy, and you will never wonder if you are loved.”

“You are my angel, my soulmate, my best friend,” he wrote in that darling speech.

“I believe you were brought into this world and destined to be loved by me, cherished by me.”

He finished it all of with “I anxiously await to be able to love you forever as my wife.”

Those are the amazing vows he wrote for Catelynn, and, just in case you somehow forgot, he cried while reading them to her at the wedding.

Catelynn and Tyler have their problems for sure, but still, it’s obvious that they love each other.

Happy anniversary, guys, and here’s to many, many more!

Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra Meet with Child They Placed for Adoption!

Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra had quite the day yesterday!

For the first time in two years, they got to have a visit with Carly, the daughter they placed for adoption when they were just 16 years old.

And since things have been a little tense between Catelynn and Tyler and Carly’s parents, Brandon and Theresa, it must have been an emotional time.

The issues began a few years ago, when Tyler began breaking some rules Brandon and Theresa put in place for their open adoption.

After it became clear that Teen Mom was going to be a huge deal, they asked Cate and Tyler not to put any photos of Carly on social media.

They didn’t want the little girl to be on the show, and if she did appear on the show — like she did for the wedding, for instance — they requested that her face be blurred.

From their point of view, they want Carly to have as normal a childhood as possible, and appearing on a reality show doesn’t exactly fit the bill.

But from Cate and Tyler’s point of view — mostly Tyler’s, honestly — they brought Carly into this world, so if they want to post a photo of her on Instagram, they have that right.

For a long time now, Brandon and Theresa have straight up ignored any attempts Catelynn and Tyler made to contact them.

And instead of apologizing for their behavior and trying to make things right so they could maintain a relationship with their birth daughter, they kept on disobeying their wishes.

Just a couple of months ago, Catelynn shared a photo of Carly on Instagram for Father’s Day.

But something must have happened since then, because after two years, Catelynn and Tyler were finally reunited with Carly!

They documented a tiny bit of the visit on Twitter — no photos, thank goodness, but Tyler did make a lot of statements and answer a lot questions about Carly, and about adoption in general.

“On the plan to go see Carly for the first time in 2 years,” he tweeted on Friday. “Can’t wait to see her and Novalee together. Warms my heart just thinking about it.”

Someone pointed out that Brandon and Theresa had asked them repeatedly to leave their daughter off his social media accounts — a fair point.

But he corrected them with “I can talk about whatever I want. The rule is not to post PICTURES of her on social media. Not that you deserve that explanation.”

He got into a conversation about adoption language and whether or not he was technically Carly’s parent by stating “I’m NOT her parent. I’m just her birth father.”

“Creating a child does NOT make you a parent. Raising that child does.”

“She does have birth parents,” he continued, “but she doesn’t have ‘adoptive parents’ that’s technically a term for birth parents to use. B&T are her parents.”

It’s interesting that he tweeted all this, because a few hours later he tweeted and deleted a pretty controversial comment.

Someone tweeted to him that they hoped he respects Brandon and Theresa’s rules and that “you are over your ‘she’s my kid & I’ll do what the hell I like’ attitude.”

He responded with “Oh I respect that rule … but I’ll NEVER be over my attitude. Biologically ‘that kid’ IS mine & I’ll ALWAYS do what I like. I only got 1 life.”

Which is … alarming, to say the least.

He just seems so stubborn about the entire situation, and it’s sad because Carly isn’t his kid. He’s welcome to do what he likes, but it could be at the expense of his relationship with her.

But on a happier note, after their meeting Tyler tweeted “Seeing Carly & Nova playing together, Carly pushing Nova in the stroller & holding her, omg you guys!”

He also wrote that “Carly ran right to me with a huge smile on her face when I was holding Nova, it was pretty precious!”

Catelynn, as usual, was a little more low-key about things, but she did tweet “Today was awesome.. seeing my two Little’s play and have fun. All I know is she is beautiful, smart, sassy, and TALL!!”

It looks like things are really looking up for everyone in this situation, right?

And thank goodness for that!

Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra Celebrate Their 12th Anniversary!!!

Want to know something crazy?

It’s been eight years to the day since Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra’s episode of 16 and Pregnant aired on MTV!

That means that, exactly eight years ago, we were first introduced to this couple — it’s been a wild ride, huh?

And, as it turns out, the Baltierras have another important anniversary this weekend …

Their 12th anniversary of dating, to be exact!

Yes, Catelynn and Tyler, Teen Mom’s middle school sweethearts, have been together for twelve whole years, and to celebrate the special occasion, Tyler wrote a painfully sweet post on Instagram.

“I can’t believe that today marks 12 years together with you,” he wrote, tagging Catelynn.

“Babe you literally are the greatest gift this life has given me! We were only kids when we fell in love, but we were kids who knew what we wanted out of life & who we wanted to get it with.”

“Not a lot of people get that opportunity or blessing at such a young age,” he added.

“Even though we were so young,” Tyler continued, “I wish I could go back as far as I could just to love you longer!”

“I am just so happy & honored to be your husband. I love you SO much!”

He added the hashtags “Happy Anniversary,” “12 Years Strong,” “Soul Mates,” and “Middle School Sweetheart.”

It’s so sweet you can hardly stand it, right?

But, as any Teen Mom fan would know, things haven’t always been that great for them.

On their 16 and Pregnant episode, we saw that they both had troubled home lives — or they shared one, really, since Catelynn’s mother, April, married Tyler’s father, Butch.

Butch and April both had big issues with addiction, and neither of them were there for their children like they needed to be.

They both criticized Cate and Tyler’s decision to place their daughter, Carly for adoption. Those poor kids were ridiculed to no end for making a mature, responsible decision.

After Catelynn gave birth and little Carly was placed with her adoptive parents, the two teenagers still struggled with their parents.

Things got so bad that Catelynn moved in with Tyler and his mother for a while to get away from April and Butch.

It wasn’t all bad times though. About a year after Carly was born, Tyler proposed to Catelynn!

They held off on a wedding for years though — long enough to work out their relationships with their parents, to mature a bit, and to have a darling little daughter, Nova.

In August of 2015, they finally tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony.

And while they still have some problems — who doesn’t? — it’s obvious that they’re still very much in love with each other.

Congrats, Catelynn and Tyler!

Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra: SLAMMED for Inappropriate Children"s Clothing Line!

Have you heard the good news?!

Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra have jobs now! Real ones where they do stuff and everything!

It’s pretty notable, because in the past few years, we’ve pretty much just seen Catelynn and Tyler sitting on couches and being sad or apathetic about pretty much everything.

Not to trivialize their mental health struggles — Catelynn has anxiety, and she also suffered from postpartum depression.

But after they placed their first daughter for adoption all those years ago, they had big dreams of going to college and getting good jobs.

Tyler wanted to be a therapist or a social worker at one point, and Catelynn wanted to do something to help other girls who found themselves 16 and pregnant like she was.

However, they’ve seemed pretty stagnant for a while now — until this current season of Teen Mom OG, actually.

This season, we’ve seen Tyler get pretty passionate about the idea of starting a children’s clothing line, and Catelynn’s been helping him.

Tyler designs the clothes himself, and a local seamstress has been building the pieces.

The line is called Tierra Reign — the last part of their last name along with their daughter Nova’s middle name.

And though the clothes aren’t officially for sale yet, they’ve been promoting them on social media for a good few weeks now.

That’s where the problems start.

Yesterday, this photo was shared to Tierra Reign’s official Instagram account:

It was not very well-received.

“Nooooo!” one person commented on the photo. “Don’t do that to little girls clothing. Soooo inappropriate guys!”

Another wrote “I don’t think this top is very age appropriate. The cut, the color, the choker … it’s not something that I would put on a young child.”

Tyler posted the same photo on his personal account, and the comments were much worse — he was accused of sexualizing children with clothing and advertising like this.

He’s deleted the photo from his account, but it remains on the Tierra Reign page.

And honestly, we sort of see what people are upset about. It is a weird picture.

The little girl looks too young to be rocking a choker, and usually in ads like these, the kids are smiling or, you know, acting like children instead of just staring ahead at the camera.

But don’t worry — Tyler has already addressed the issue.

He shared another photo, this one of his precious little daughter, Nova, wearing the same shirt as the one in the ad.

In the caption, he explained that he usually doesn’t respond to criticism on social media, which is fair, because if he did, how would he ever be able to do anything else?

But, he said, he felt the need to respond to the backlash.

“Emma (the cute little model I used) was actually almost 2 sizes too small for the tank!” he wrote.

“We realized the day of the photo shoot & the production of her size was not completed yet, so we didn’t have one to swap it out (or we would have).”

That’s the reason the top looks to be a bit lower cut on the model than it does on Nova — they likely had to clip the shirt in the back to make it look right, which pulled it down in the front.

As for the choker scandal, he said that “We bought a whole bunch of accessories for the shoot & let the kids decide on what they wanted to wear.”

Little Emma apparently picked the choker. After all, chokers are very popular right now.

He said that in this new photo, Nova is modeling the shirt as it’s made to fit, and honestly, it does look pretty cute here.

Tyler acknowledged that “not everyone will like our style,” and “that’s totally okay!”

“But I wanted you guys to know that I am paying attention & appreciate all the feedback … good or bad, it helps the business grow in the right direction.”

Proud of you, Baltierras!
