Halle Berry Shares Epic Instagram Pic, Drives Twitter Batty

Halle Berry knows how to make an impression on social media.

The Oscar-winning actress doesn’t post all that many photos on her Instagram page, but when she does… HOLY HOTNESS.

She. Makes. Them. Count.

One year ago, Berry jumped into the Instagram fray via a topless photo that most definitely caught the attention of those across the Web.

But she was facing away from the camera at the time.

The tantalizing prospect of what Berry’s chest would look like if she turned around made for quite an opening Instagram post, but it also left far too much to one’s imagination.

Fortunately for all warm-blooded men, however, Berry has learned from this mistake.

Just consider the image she shared online four weeks ago:

Not shabby, huh?

This seductive snapshot only served as a warm-up act for the Internet-halting photo Berry posted on Thursday evening.

Despite not having any major movies on the way and despite a boring lull in her love life, Berry managed to make endless headlines with the following, bra-free photograph:

“Me when someone says ‘I’m coming over and I’ve got snacks,"” the 50-year old* captioned the photo, which depicts her posing outside with long tousled hair and sans makeup.

(*Yes, Halle Berry is 50 years old!)

Berry is standing with her arms outstretched and the outline of her boobs visible under a sheer white lace dress that plunges to her navel.

And Twitter has A LOT to say about pretty much everything included in this amazing picture.

As of this writing, the photo has nearly 112,000 Likes on Instagram (including one from Tyrese Gibson!) and has elicited reactions such as the following:

berry reaction

“Um @halleberry…I’m coming over and I’ve got snacks? #TheNewAllStateMantra,” wrote Questlove in response to this posting.

A mother of two, Berry said in 2015 that she often felt pressure from Hollywood to go under the knife.

“It is pressure,” she said of getting plastic surgery.

“When you see everybody around you doing it, you have those moments when you think, ‘To stay alive in this business, do I need to do the same thing?"”

Still, Berry has resisted.

And you’ve gotta admire her reason why.

“I just have kept reminding myself that beauty really is as beauty does, and it is not so much about my physical self,” she told Us Weekly, adding:

“Aging is natural, and that’s going to happen to all of us. I just want to always look like myself, even if that’s an older version of myself.”

Yeah.

It’s safe to say that looking like an older version of herself is working out quite well for Berry, isn’t it?

Chuck Berry Dies; Legendary Musician Was 90

Chuck Berry, the long-time musician who many credit with popularizing the entire genre of rock ‘n roll, Saturday in Missouri, the St. Charles County police has confirmed.

He was 90 years old.

“St. Charles County police responded to a medical emergency on Buckner Road at approximately 12:40 p.m. today (Saturday, March 18),” the department said via statement this afternoon.

The statement continued as follows:

“Inside the home, first responders observed an unresponsive man and immediately administered lifesaving techniques. Unfortunately, the 90-year-old man could not be revived and was pronounced deceased at 1:26 p.m.

“The St. Charles County Police Department sadly confirms the death of Charles Edward Anderson Berry Sr., better known as legendary musician Chuck Berry.”

Concludes the post, which was written on Facebook:

“The family requests privacy during this time of bereavement.”

The singing, guitar playing and general showmanship of Berry have often been credited as having enormous influence on Elvis Presley, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones and the Beach Boys, among other legends.

The latter group’s “Surfin’ USA,” for example, so overly copied Berry’s song “Sweet Little Sixteen” that the rock pioneer complained and was eventually given a co-writing credit on the track.

Berry performed for over seven decades.

His best known hits likely remain Roll Over Beethoven, My Ding-a-Ling, Maybelline (his first real hit, released in 1955) and Johnny B. Goode.

The veteran musician received a lifetime achievement Grammy Award in 1984 and was among the first inductees to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986.

By the late 1970s, after years of success in the spotlight, Berry career took a nosedive.

In 1979, was found guilty of tax evasion and sentenced to four months in prison.

However, he remained a worshiped figure by the music icons he had inspired.

When Keith Richards inducted Berry into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986, saying at the time that he “lifted every lick” that Berry ever played for himself.

Upon learning of his death, motown group The Jacksons Tweeted the following:

“Chuck Berry merged blues & swing into the phenomenon of early rock’n’roll. In music, he cast one of the longest shadows. Thank You Chuck.”

Expect many more tributes to follow.

We send our condolences to those who knew Chuck Berry best. What a legend.

May he rest in peace.

Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez: Is The Divorce Off?

After filing for divorce back in October 2015, estranged couple Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez look to be giving their marriage another try.

A courthouse clerk has notified both parties that if they don’t make a move with proceedings, their case will be thrown out, according to TMZ.

Friends of both actors say they’re in “no rush” to divorce, and are “fine with staying married.”

Berry reportedly isn’t convinced that she and Martinez shouldn’t be together, despite the French star’s obvious anger management issues.

Martinez was sued for $ 5 million in 2015 after video footage revealed that he shoved LAX employee Ronaldo Owens to the ground with a car seat.

“At the time of the incident Ronaldo was employed at LAX and was lawfully in the area,” lawsuit documents obtained by People Magazine at the time read.

“Thereafter, and without any provocation or justification Martinez abruptly turned towards Ronaldo, and brutally and intentionally charged at Ronaldo using an empty child’s car seat he held in his hands as a weapon, striking Ronaldo to the ground with the seat, and causing Ronaldo humiliation and injury.”

Berry was accused of doing nothing to stop the attack.

Right now it seems that Berry and Martinez are “getting along great,” and while they are just friends and co-parents at this point to Maceo, 3, and Nahla, 8 (dad is Berry’s ex-boyfriend, Gabriel Aubry), there is a chance that they’ll get back together.

After filing, a source close to the couple said at the time that they “spent a lot of time working on their marriage,” which has been “a roller coaster from the start.”

Martinez “loved being married,” a source close to him pointed out.  “A divorce was never in the plan.”

Earlier this year, another source told People that things were going well.

“Lately, Halle and Olivier are getting along much better,” the source said in March.

“They both came to their senses and are doing what’s best for the kids. They are enjoying spring break in [Mexico].

The divorce is still being finalized, and there is no change for now.

“But there seems there might be a slim chance that they decide to stay married. There is still a lot of love between them.”

John Berry Dies; Original Beastie Boys Member Was 52

John Berry, an original members of iconic rap group the Beastie Boys, passed away on Thursday at a hospice in Danvers, Massachusetts.

He was 52 years old.

Berry pic

The guitarist was credited by the band as the creator of its name.

He tragically suffered from frontal lobe dementia, however, which had grown worse in recent months, according to his father, John Berry III, via Rolling Stone.

Berry and Mike Diamond, who were classmates at the Walden School in New York, formed the Beastie Boys in July 1981 with Adam “MCA” Yauch and Kate Schellenbach.

The group’s first show even took place at Berry’s old loft at the corner of West 100th St. and Broadway on the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York City.

In 1982, not long after the release of their first EP, Berry and Schellenbach departed the Beasties Boys and were replaced by Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz.

Fast forward to 2012 and The Beastie Boys were elected to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Along with Run-D.M.C. and Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, they were just the third rap group to earn this distinction.

Among their most popular hits, many of which you can still hear on the radio today, were “Fight for Your Right,” “No Sleep Till Brooklyn” and “So What’Cha Want.”

Yauch died at age 47 after a long battle with cancer in late 2012.

In 2014, Diamond confirmed that the Beastie Boys would not continue out of respect for their late member.

We send our condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of John Berry.

Halle Berry Joins Instagram, Posts Topless Photo

Halle Berry has suffered from some major image problems in recent years, but no matter how you feel about the Oscar-winner and her tumultuous personal life, there’s no denying that the girl understands the Internet:

Halle joined Instagram today, and the photo above is her first post.

Granted, it’s the least revealing topless photo in history, but it’s also a clear indication that Ms. Berry knows what makes the ‘Gram go ’round.

Remarkably, she doesn’t seem to have a project or political agenda to support, she just wants to share the glory that is naked Halle Berry with the world:

“Hi everyone,” Halle wrote, as though anyone is clicking this pic to read the caption. “Welcome! Today is a very exciting day for me… I’m looking forward to sharing our world through images that reflect my emotions and perceptions.

“I am in awe of photography and its ability to capture and reflect this extraordinary world that we live in. I’m excited to share with you my love of nature, the arts, fashion and much more in the hopes that the images will inspire, promote conversation and bring you joy.”

So there you have it. Halle Berry loves photography, but not enough to show you her boobs.

At least now she’ll have a way to fire back the next time someone slams her on social media.

David Justice, Ex-Husband of Halle Berry, SLAMS Berry on Twitter

David Justice, Halle Berry’s first ex-husband, has a thing or two to say about Berry’s other (and newer) ex-husband.

On Monday, the former professional baseball player took to Twitter to defend himself, claiming he was never abusive toward Berry.

Berry never outwardly claimed Justice was abusive, but she filed a restraining order against him in 1996.

Sources close to Berry told People Magazine, “Halle and David haven’t spoken for years and when they did last, there was no animosity between them whatsoever. They were really friendly. This is coming out of nowhere.”

Justice followed up with that sentiment on Twitter.  He stated, Berry “was mad at me leaving the relationship so she and her Hollywood Team just tried to destroy my character. It had to be my fault, right?”

He also tweeted: “It just makes me mad to still see the same lie being perpetuated about the source of her abuse being me.Never happened!” Justice added the hashtag “#formerboyfriend.”

In his Twitter rant, he also touched on Berry’s other high profile ex-boyfriends, such as Eric Benet, Gabriel Aubry, and Martinez.  He abrasively stated that they were all a “Knight in Shining Armor, until it ends. Then we all become the worst guys in history.”

He also mentioned, “Only the guys in the relationship with Halle know the real deal. There will be another, of course. He’ll be called ‘The Best’ until it ends.”

It seemed as if this were just a bitter ex trash talking Berry, but even Benet applauded his remarks.

Benet, Berry’s husband from 2001 to 2005, responded to the tweets: “My man at @23davidjustice is tweeting some truth dis’ mornin’!”

Justice then continued his rant, warning Martinez,  “Just wait, Olivier. It’s coming! She insinuated that her daughter wasn’t safe around Gabriel. Look it up and see the reason! Just wrong.”

Though many of his Twitter updates have since been deleted, Justice opened up to the Daily Mail about his comments.

He said, “I had to say something after reading about Halle’s recent marriage. So many years ago, I didn’t say anything about the accusations that I abused her.”

He continued, “But now I have three children, ages, 15, 13 and 11, two boys and one girl, and they can read this stuff and they have friends who will read it as well so I had to finally come out and say once and for all I never hit Halle Berry.”

“Back then it didn’t matter, but it’s different now,” explaining that while Berry never said he hit her, she also “never said I didn’t either, which was disappointing.”

But Justice wants to be known as more that just “the face of Halle Berry’s exes.”  And he claimed he “won’t be going on TV to talk about this.”

“I just wanted to make sure my wife, my children and the rest of my family, friends and fans know the truth,” he said.

Halle Berry and Oliver Martinez divorced in October.  Berry and Martinez married in 2013, but announced on October 27 of this year that they were splitting up.

In a statement to People Magazine, they said, “It is with a heavy heart that we have come to the decision to divorce. We move forward with love and respect for one another and the shared focus for what is best for our son.”

Berry has a lengthy divorce history.  Martinez was her third husband. The actress married Justice in 1992 and Benet in 2001.

In 2007, Berry to InStyle, “I will never, never get married again.”

We doubt it.

Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez: What Happened?!?

After two years of marriage, it is all over for Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez.

This is Berry’s third divorce, and the couple likely got married because she was pregnant (they tied the knot in July 2013; she gave birth to a son named Maceo in October 2013)… so it’s we can’t really say we’re shocked by this development.

Still. We’re left wondering what, exactly, went wrong.

According to People Magazine, a major source of contention has been the couple’s living situation.

An insider tells the publication that Martinez has never been “happy” residing in Los Angeles, but Berry has no choice in the matter:

She’d love to raise Maceo and daughter Nahla in Eurupe… but she remains entangled in a custody battle over the former with Nahla’s dad, Canadian model Gabriel Aubry.

Then there’s the issue of Martinez’s short fuse.

“He has a violent temper,” People reports, with a couple of examples easy to cite:

Martinez got into a Thanksgiving Day brawl with Aubry in 2012; he was also pushed an airport employee with a baby seat earlier this year.

That employee is now suing the Martinez and Berry for $ 5 million.

In the end, a source tells People that the relationship between the two “fiery personalities” had “run its course.”

Both sides are seeking joint custody over Maceo and, while there are a few details on which they disagree in the dueling divorce papers, “they are keeping it amicable now,” the insider adds, concluding of Berry

“She is okay.”

This is Martinez first divorce, and the third for Berry, who wed baseball player David Justice in 1993 and singer Eric Benét in 2001.

She’s often blamed a bad relationship with her father for her many ongoing issues with men.

Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez: It"s Over!

After months of rumors that Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez were headed for divorce, it was revealed today that the couple has decided to call it quits.

TMZ is reporting that Berry filed for divorce some time this week.

Though the 49-year-old actress was the one to file papers, sources say the decision was mutual – and a long time coming.

“They have a personality difference,” one insider tells TMZ. “They’re just very different people.”

That “personality difference” was reportedly brought into stark relief after Martinez assaulted a photographer at LAX back in 2013.

Insiders say Berry likes to exercise tight control over her public image, and she was thoroughly humiliated by Martinez’s behavior.

Already pregnant with his baby at that point, she decided to stick with the relationship, but those closest to the Oscar-winning actress claim they knew then that the marriage was doomed.

Berry stopped wearing her wedding ring back in August, and she and Martinez have reportedly been living separate lives for the better part of a year.

Though they have a 2-year-old son together and Berry was (obviously) the majority breadwinner, it’s expected that the divorce will go smoothly as the couple signed an iron-clad prenup.
