Amanda Bynes: Caught Looking... Normal?!?
Amanda Bynes has posted a new photo of herself on Twitter.
And you may need to brace yourself for this one, celebrity gossip followers.
Because the former trainwreck of a mediocre actress is actually looking like … GASP! … not all that much of a trainwreck at the moment.
Indeed, the Internet is in shock right now after Bynes shared the above snapshot on her Twitter page late last week.
Users can’t believe just how normal the star looks while sitting alongside a friend at Girasol Restaurant in Studio City, California.
Along with an emoji of two lipstick-laden lips, the troubled D-Lister included a very simple caption that reads as follows:
“Dinner with friends at Girasol.”
Not particularly revealing, we know, but this is the first picture Bynes has posted in 2018.
We last saw her on social media way back in April of last year when Amanda shared the following image, which appears to also depict her and this same gal pal:
In the latest image, the former Nickelodeon child star is sitting with long blonde hair extensions and a basic black top as she prepares to dine at the eatery.
Looks can be deceiving, of course, but she doesn’t appear to be have recently suffered a mental illness relapse, as had been reported in December.
An actress with a seemingly bright future just a few years ago, Bynes fell hard off the deep end back in 2014.
She was often spotted in public, looking disheveled beyond belief, while she frequently rambled incoherently about things such as killing her dad and leaving his body in a ditch.
She was subsequently diagnosed as Bipolar and was scarcely heard from at all in 2017.
But insiders now tell Us Weekly that Bynes is hoping to make a comeback.
“Amanda is going to be graduating from fashion school this summer,” this source tells the supermarket tabloid, adding:
“She is doing so well and is very excited about the next chapter of her professional life.”
Hey, we’ve made plenty of fun of Bynes over these difficult years, but we’d be thrilled if she really did turn things around.
She hasn’t acted since 2010 and has been nothing but an unfortunate laughingstock among those who follow the entertainment industry ever since.
Following several months of erratic behavior and arrests, Byneswas placed in a treatment facility under an involuntary psychiatric hold in 2014.
She was kicked out of L.A.’s Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising this same year.
However, she returned to this same school in 2015.
Us Weekly writes that Amanda “has been focused on school and does want to return to acting.”
There is allegedly “interest” in her, as well, although it’s unclear from whom and for which medium.
In June of 2017, Bynes went on camera with blogger Diana Madison for the first time since her public meltdown, sounding like someone who had herself together.
“I do miss acting and I have something surprising to tell you: I’m going to start acting again,” she said last summer, concluding:
“I want to do TV. Maybe a few guest spots on some shows that I’m a fan of and maybe another TV show where I’m the star of it.”

Amanda Bynes: "Struggling" Amidst Mental Illness Relapse, Source Claims
For Amanda Bynes, the road to recovery has been a long and difficult one with many potholes and detours along the way.
Bynes’ struggle with mental illness played out in the public eye, and when she began to show signs of recovery earlier this year, fans rejoiced at the thought of having “the old Amanda” back.
Now, it seems their celebrations may have been premature.
Sources close to Bynes tell In Touch Weekly that the actress has suffered a “major relapse” and that she’s “struggling to regain control of her life. “
The news comes on the heels of a promising upswing, during which Bynes seemed to be getting the help she needed to repair her career and public image.
The positive changes in her Bynes’ behavior began earlier this year.
In April, Bynes returned to Twitter following an extended absence from the social media site.
Shortly thereafter, she gave her first interview in four years, during which she stated that she’s “doing great,” keeping busy, and looking forward to returning to acting.
“I’ve been going to school lately, fashion school, FIDM [the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising], and I love it. I’ve learned how to sew, I make patterns, and I want to start a clothing line in the future,” Bynes said.
“Other than that,” she continued, “I hike, I go spinning, take spinning classes, and I feed the homeless, and that’s been really interesting and fun.”
Sources verified that Bynes was once again pursuing an education after taking an extended hiatus:
“She began taking classes in the fall, even though she was kicked out before for showing up high as a kite,” said one fellow student.
“She seemed upbeat and talked about returning to TV.”
Unfortunately, the return to television never took place, and insiders say it’s Bynes’ inability to find work that touched off her latest meltdown.
The 31-year-old’s comeback came around the fifth anniversary of DUI arrest that seemed to trigger an extended downward spiral for Bynes.
In the months that followed, her drug use increased, and her behavior became more erratic, a pattern that culminated in Bynes being placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold and hospitalized for several months.
Here’s hoping Amanda can somehow regain that momentum and get back on the road to recovery.

Amanda Bynes Looks Shockingly Different in Rare Public Sighting
Amanda Bynes was seen in public this week, which is only noteworthy in that this was the first time in what feels like years.
Oh, and you won"t believe how different she looks.
Spotted at Ralphs grocery store in Los Angeles, she was accompanied by an unidentified woman and dressed casually in a tan sweater.
She paired that with a white t-shirt, black pants and a matching black Chanel purse, looking happy and healthy … until she was recognized.
Bynes, 31, grew uncomfortable as she tried to shield her face from photographers, which is understandable, given her history.
Amanda has, however, been better path as of late.
In June, about five years after her life spun infamously, remarkably out of control, Bynes gave her first interview in almost that long.
She claimed to be sober and announced intentions to return to acting, saying, “I do miss acting and I have something surprising to tell you."
"I [want] to start again … I want to do TV. Maybe guest spots on some shows that I’m a fan of and maybe another TV show where I’m the star.”
In February, Bynes’ probation stemming from a 2014 DUI ended, and in April, she returned to social media. The comeback is (slowly) on.
It"s hard to believe her downward spiral began in 2012, when she was arrested for her first DUI … then began melting down on Twitter.
Bynes asked Drake to murder her vagina, called a number of celebs "ugly," shaved her head, slept in the mall and set a driveway on fire.
Following the driveway incident, and after she nearly torched her dog as well, she was placed on a psychiatric hold for months.
Reports claimed that she was diagnosed as bipolar and schizophrenic, and she kept a very low profile in the years that followed.
Nowadays, "I"m doing great," she says of her current state. "Really great. I"ve been going to [fashion school] and I love it."
"I"ve learned how to sew, I make patterns, and I want to start a clothing line in the future. Other than that?" Bynes adds.
"I hike, I go spinning, take spinning classes, and I feed the homeless, and that"s been really interesting and fun."
Regarding the … Drake incident?
"I actually wasn"t being insincere," Bynes clarifies. "I was, like, saying "murder my vagina." I was serious … but I was also on drugs."
"So that was my way of saying, like, "Let"s do it, man!""
"But I was on drugs and trying to be hilarious."

Amanda Bynes Does First Interview in Four Years: Is She OK?!
Can you believe it"s been five years since Amanda Bynes first began her downward spiral?!
It"s true: in April of 2012, Amanda got her first DUI, which set off a series of bizarre events.
After the first DUI, she had a few more car-related incidents, and it wasn"t long after that that she began her infamous Twitter rants.
She asked Drake to murder her vagina, she called a number of celebrities "ugly," she shaved her head.
It was a long, crazy ride that came to an end when Amanda set a fire in someone"s driveway and nearly torched her dog as well.
She was placed on a psychiatric hold, and remained hospitalized for months.
Reports claimed that she"d been diagnosed as bipolar and schizophrenic, and though she"s definitely had some setbacks, she"s been relatively quiet for the past few years.
Until now!
Amanda just did a brand new interview with Hollyscoop — her first in four years.
"I"m doing great," she says about her current state. "Really great."
"I"ve been going to school lately, fashion school, FIDM [the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising], and I love it. I"ve learned how to sew, I make patterns, and I want to start a clothing line in the future."
"Other than that," she continues, "I hike, I go spinning, take spinning classes, and I feed the homeless, and that"s been really interesting and fun."
As for her acting career, she says she misses it — so much that she"s going to start working again!

While that"s wonderful news, and while it really does look like she"s doing much better these days, she also touches on some darker moments from her past.
For instance, that time that she asked Drake to murder her vagina.
"I actually wasn"t being insincere," she says of her request. "I was, like, saying "murder my vagina." I was serious, but I was also on drugs."
"So that was my way of saying, like, "Let"s do it, man!" But I was on drugs and trying to be hilarious."
When asked what exactly murdering a vagina entails, she responds with "What does that even mean? It just means, like "F-ck me, Drake.""
Oh, Amanda, how we"ve missed you.
She goes on to dish about more wild times from all those years ago — she even admits that with her cheek piercings and colorful wigs, she totally stole Blac Chyna"s look.
She also says that even though she once tweeted that Zac Efron has an ugly face, he"s actually 100% hot.

Amanda Bynes: Pregnant and Engaged?!
You’ll never, ever believe this, not in a million years, but there’s some high drama going on in Amanda Bynes’ life.
… Wait, what’s that? You definitely would believe it, no problem, because Amanda Bynes is constantly on the verge of the biggest celebrity meltdown we’ve ever seen?
Huh. Well, that makes sense.
A few years ago, as we all remember so very well, Amanda had a very bad time.
It began with a DUI in 2012 — but not just any DUI. She was arrested when she tried to pass a police car and side-swiped it.
It continued with several other car-related incidents, including three hit-and-runs and one occasion where she was caught smoking weed in a parking lot.
And if all that wasn’t worrisome enough, she really scared us with her Twitter account.
Who could forget her one-sided love/hate relationship with Drake, or her habit of calling anyone and everyone “ugly”? No one, that’s who.
For real, we’re pretty sure it’s literally impossible to forget one celebrity saying that she wants another celebrity to “murder her vagina.”
She went on for a year like this, going wild on Twitter, breaking various laws, that sort of thing.
But in July of 2013, she set a fire in a neighbor’s driveway, doused her dog in gasoline, and was promptly put on a psychiatric hold.
After reportedly being diagnosed with both bipolar disorder and schizophrenia — and after another bad period in late 2014 in which she shoplifted and got up to her old Twitter antics — things were good with her for a long time.
Until now, that is.
As you might recall, there’s a certain Twitter account that’s been widely associated with Amanda. The handle is @persianla27, and for a few years now, the account has been posting selfies of Amanda, along with the familiar messy tweets we no longer see on her verified account.
And yesterday, the account made a mighty big announcement.
“Happy Valentines Day!” one tweet read, accompanied by an alleged photo of Amanda.
“At the gynos office with Matt to see if I am indeed pregnant! The home test says I am but I need a 2nd opinion!!”
So if you believe that the account actually is Amanda’s secret account — and there’s a lot of evidence that it is — she could be expecting her first child.
But according to Amanda’s verified account, it’s not true.
“I am not @persianla27,” she tweeted shortly after the other account made the pregnancy announcement. “I am not getting married and I am not pregnant. I don’t understand why twitter won’t take @persianla27 down.”
Meanwhile, the @persianla27 account tweeted a photo of Amanda’s driver’s license, and has been tweeting some pretty alarming messages.
“Amanda is an actress, a very bad and evil one at that,” one tweet read. “I am Ashley, a fashion designer extraordinaire!”
When someone asked why she would share Amanda’s driver’s license if she wasn’t actually Amanda, the account stated “Amanda did that. Amanda is evil!”
“Amanda is not my friend and I am scared of her and I’m tired of her controlling my thoughts!”
The latest tweet reads “You’re the only one who can help me and my unborn baby @realDonaldTrump.”
Best wishes to both Amanda and whoever runs this Twitter account — if they are, in fact, separate people.

Amanda Bynes Returns to Twitter, Seems Healthy!
Amanda Bynes is back on social media.
We know you may have just involuntarily cringed while reading that sentence, but trust us, this time it’s a good thing.
Amanda posted the above photo last night, along with a caption reading, “Hi everyone! I got a haircut! What do you think?”
Since she asked, we think she looks great!
But it has less to do with the hair than with the fact that she’s dropped the giant sunglasses, facial piercings and ever-present Marlboro-between-the-lips that became her trademarks during her 2014 breakdown.
In case you somehow forgot, Amanda displayed increasingly troubling behavior following a DUI arrest in September of that year, during which it was determined that the actress was high on Adderall and other prescription drugs.
In one of the more disturbing episodes from that period, Bynes falsely accused her father of molesting her during one of her signature Twitter rants.
Eventually, Amanda was placed on 5150 psychiatric hold and received the psychiatric help she seemed to desperately need.
Shortly thereafter, the actress announced her intention to go back to school for fashion design, and now she’s doing exactly that.
“She seems really healthy and focused on her schooling,” a source close to Bynes tells In Touch. “She seems like she’s in a much better place and she looks great.”
“No one really treats her any differently because she’s Amanda Bynes. You can tell she really just wants to be a normal student. Everyone at FIDM is really chill and respects her and her space.”
Sadly, it’s not uncommon for former child stars to collapse under the pressures of fame and fan expectations, but it is rare to see one carve out a life of quiet contentment after suffering such a crash.
So we’d like to offer our sincere congrats to Amanda and wish her all the best going forward.
