Mariah Carey and Bryan Tanaka: It"s Over!
Mariah Carey and Bryan Tanaka’s relationship could not stand the test of time.
Yes, another celebrity couple has called it quits, but should we have seen this one coming a mile off? Probably.
Mariah Carey is one of the most opinionated celebrities out there. Whether she’s throwing shade at other celebrities and just generally thinking she’s better than them, Mariah has solidified herself as a diva.
Could that be the reason why the duo have called time on their relationship? Not according to TMZ.
Apparently, Bryan was super jealous of Mariah’s relationship with her ex-husband, Nick Cannon.
As you are probably well aware, Mariah shares twins Moroccan and Monroe with Nick, so it’s not hard to imagine the couple maintaining a relationship for their kids.
There is such a thing as co-parenting, and the pair appears to be following through on that to ensure their children are not missing out.
They do still take family holidays for their children, but Bryan was not impressed by this, and that was said to be part of the reason the relationship came to a close.
Things went from bad-to-worse for the couple when Mariah and Nick took the twins to the Kids’ Choice Awards in March. Bryan was allegedly left red-faced because of how close the former couple was.
He even went as far as demanding Mariah returned home and left Nick in the lurch.
Jealousy is not a good foundation to build any relationship upon, so it kind of made sense for them to call it quits.
Bryan’s taste for expensive things is also said to be part of the reason for the demise of the relationship.
We all knew Mariah liked expensive things. She’s been a superstar for the better part of thirty years, so it makes sense that she would.
However, Mariah was not a fan of footing the bill for Bryan’s expensive taste, which included brands like Gucci and Balmain.
Maybe his salary as Mariah’s backing dancer is not as lucrative as one would think.
Their relationship became the focal point of E! reality series Mariah’s World. The show was surprisingly decent and showed a nicer side to Mariah.
However, there were a lot of scenes thrown in at the last minute when it emerged that Mariah and James Packer were over.

Mariah Carey Celebrates Birthday with Bryan Tanaka: See The Pics!
Mariah Carey has made it abundantly clear in the past that she’s not one to follow traditions.
The singing sensation celebrated her birthday in style with her boyfriend, Bryan Tanaka. As has been the case with the couple throughout their relationship, the whole thing was well-documented via social media.
Mariah, who turned 47-years-old, has made a habit of treating her birthday more like an anniversary. She does have a point, but something tells us this is her trying act like she’s better than everyone.
Bryan was the one who shared the pictures, and it sure looks like the pair indulged in a relaxing getaway to ring in the momentous occasion.
“Starting the anniversary festivities in a relaxing, chic environment #HappyAnniversary,” Tanaka captioned to his 136,000 followers.
In another picture, he looked out to the ocean, with Mariah (presumably) taking the picture of him.
“Everyone can use a little zen time. Soaking in the moment and recaliberating my spirit #MuchLove #BlessingsOnBlessings,” he captioned.
Does it seem like the couple is trying to make everyone jealous of their trip?
We kid, mostly.
On a more serious note, viewers did get to see another side to Mariah during her stint on Mariah’s World.
That reality series showed a more vulnerable version of the star who has been known for her diva behavior.
That reality series also showed fans the burgeoning relationship between Mariah and Tanaka as they grew closer.
It’s just a shame her being portrayed in such a good light was tarnished by her botched New Year’s Eve performance that found the star refusing to continue with a performance.
The reason? Technical issues. It was, however, blown out of proportion when Mariah’s team made claims that she had been sabotaged.
Maybe this break will do Mariah more good than Bryan. Either way, we hope she had a wonderful birthday anniversary.

Mariah Carey and Bryan Tanaka KISS in PDA-Filled Picture
Mariah Carey and Bryan Tanaka are still going strong… at least according to the singer’s latest Instagram post.
The 46-year-old singer uploaded a photo of herself and her cute boy to the social media site on Tuesday.
It’s clear the pair are not concerned with PDA.

There’s no denying that they make a great couple, but the picture is not the issue here.
“No one knows what it means, but it’s provocative … it gets the people going!”
Mariah seems to think people will be so excited over the “provocative” picture, but it’s pretty much the norm these days that couples would take to social media to show off their love.
It’s sickening to some, but that’s what happens.
The very notion that Mariah thinks the picture will have her fans clamoring for more is pretty ludicrous.
Hey, she’s got to find a way to put the New Year’s Eve fiasco behind her, but this is not the right way to go about it.
If you watch Mariah’s World online, the chances are that you already got to lay eyes on the couple getting up close and personal, so this is nothing new.
Mariah started dating Tanaka in late 2016 after her engagement to James Packer came to a grinding halt.
Packer’s appearances in the E! reality series were heavily edited, so we never got to see much of their relationship play out.
It was all about Mariah and Bryan. To be fair, they did make for great TV, and the show successfully showed the singing sensation in a new light.
It’s just a shame that Mariah’s problematic New Year’s Eve performance is going to hang over her career like a dark cloud for some time.
Mariah’s performance was marred by technical difficulties, which found the star claiming that she was set up.
Celebrities got involved, with the likes of Jenny McCarthy pointing out that Mariah’s voice is not what it once was and that’s part of the reason why she never sang without the backing track.
Either way, we’re sure Mariah can take solace knowing she has Bryan Tanaka to kiss all over Instagram to show off how AMAZING her life is.

Mariah Carey: I Literally Cannot Exist in the Real World!
Mariah Carey is not done talking about her debacle of a New Year’s Eve performance.
And you REALLY need to see what she had to say about it this time.
The legendary artist took to the iconic Times Square stage on December 31 as part of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, prepared to entertain fans with a couple of her number-one hits.
But there were some technical difficulties as Carey tried to lip-sync, only for it to become apparent that she didn’t really know the words to her own singles.
“We’re missing some of the vocals, but it is what it is … I’m gonna let the audience sing,” Carey rambled at one point, adding:
“We didn’t have a sound check for this New Year’s baby.”

In the days following this trainwreck, members of Carey’s team claimed that ABC producers actually set up the singer to fail. For the sake of ratings? We guess?
And after shrugging off the embarrassment as “shit” that “happens” via Twitter, Carey spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the collapse and said:
“I’m of the opinion that Dick Clark would not have let an artist go through that and he would have been as mortified as I was in real time.”
Okay then. If that random observation makes her feel better…
Now, Carey has once again brought up the failed performance in a chat with Rolling Stone, offering up one nugget after another that need to be read in order to be believed.
“This was out of my control, and had everything not been such a total chaotic mess, then I would have been able to make something happen,” Carey explained of the aborted three-song set.
“Even the dancers should have stopped dancing and helped me off the f-cking stage. I’m sorry. It was a mess, and I blame everybody, and I blame myself for not leaving after rehearsal.”
Yes, Mariah Carey blames EVERYBODY for what transpired.
Including herself? Well, only for not ditching the entire concert earlier after all these people who were not her messed up so badly.
But that wasn’t even the most hilarious/insane/diva-like response Carey delivered in this Rolling Stone article.
“It’s just something where if I can’t explain it to the entire world, then they’re not going to understand it, because it’s not what they do,” said Carey.
Fair enough, to some extent.
We’re sure we don’t understand the pressures of performing on live television; nor can we relate to everything that goes into planning such a concert.
But then Carey hit us with the greatest quote any famous person has ever uttered…
Just like I wouldn’t understand somebody who had a desk job and how to do that. I couldn’t. I literally am incapable of being in the real world and surviving.
Literally, people! Mariah Carey would drop dead if she had to work in an office.
The thing is, this is sort of why we adore Mariah Carey.
As she proved over and over and over again on episodes of Mariah’s World, she really is this spoiled and out of touch.
While other stars may try to relate to their fans or pretend to be some kind of down to Earth homebody, Mariah is always true to who she really is.
Granted, that person is a total and complete diva to the infinite degree.
But remember when Kim Kardashian was slammed for acting poor in a series of social media photos?
In the eyes of many fans, the worst thing a star can do is pretend to be something he or she is not.
No one will ever fire this charge at Mariah Carey, that’s for sure.
She is who she is. That person sort of sucks, but at least we know how to put her in her place if she really gets on her nerves:
Just give her a office job!

Mariah Carey Performs Live: Did She Redeem Herself?
Mariah Carey returned to the scene of her biggest crime on Wednesday night.
In a manner of speaking.
About six weeks ago, the legendary artist made a fool out of herself in Times Square, stumbling through a performance on New Year"s Eve as the result of some technical difficulties…
… along with some lazy practice habits and a seeming lack of knowledge when it came to her own song lyrics.
In the aftermath of this debacle, Carey"s team floated this weird conspiracy theory about how she was set up to fail by producers.
"I came to New Year’s Eve in New York in great spirits and was looking forward to a celebratory moment with the world,” Carey said in a nearly two-minute audio recording posted to her Twitter page afterwards, adding:
“It’s a shame that we were put into the hands of a production team with technical issues, who chose to capitalize on circumstances beyond our control."
It was a nightmare all around for the singer.
But Mariah was back on a stage to try her vocal chords once again this week, appearing as a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
With help from rapper YG, Carey belted out a rendition of latest ballad, "I Don"t," in front of a sold-out studio audience; the track was inspired by the star"s public and ugly split from Australian billionaire James Packer.
Rocking a curve-hugging and plunging red gown that flaunted her cleavage in a major way, Carey taunted Packer via such lines as you “probably think I’m coming back, but I don’t, I don’t.”
