Mariah Carey: Forcing Producers to Edit James Packer Out of Mariah"s World?
Mariah Carey is getting very tired of the old, so she has decided to only care about the new.
In this instance, that old is her ex-boyfriend, James Packer.
As you probably already know unless you’ve been living under a rock, Mariah is in a new relationship with Bryan Tanaka.
Viewers have been wondering about the lack of James Packer in the E! reality series.
When the show was filmed, Mariah was still very much in a relationship with the billionaire.
One of the odd things about the new series is the emphasis that has been put on Bryan.
It would make anyone think Mariah was being a little too flirty while in a relationship.
However, we’re now hearing that James’ scenes have been mostly cut out, with scenes of Bryan being inserted into the show.
“They want the focus of the show to be Mariah finding love, not getting dumped,” says the insider.
Okay then.
It would be pretty silly to have us root for Mariah and James. It would not feel current and would probably make viewers tune out of the show altogether.
I mean, what’s the point of rooting for a couple we already know is doomed?
Thankfully, the producers seemed to agree with Mariah and have basically ousted James from the whole thing.
The interesting thing about all of this is that the report even claims Mariah and Bryan got busy filming Thanksgiving scenes that found Mariah getting hot and heavy with Bryan over Thanksgiving.
We all love a good love story, but it sounds like things are going to get a little bit too convoluted… even for reality TV.
Viewers like romances that don’t seem forced, but something about Mariah’s latest romance seems like it’s trying too far to be a thing.
Time will tell, but you can watch Mariah’s World online over at TV Fanatic to see how much James has been edited out of the show.
Maybe it can become a drinking game, or something.
Hey, at least it would make the show more interesting.

Mariah Carey Blames Scientolgy (?!?) for James Packer Split
The Mariah Carey and James Packer breakup has taken yet another unusual turn.
The artist and the Australian billionaire called off their engagement a few days ago, with endless rumors swirling around the Internet regarding who was responsible for the split and why.
And you may not believe the latest round of Carey-relayed gossip…
According to TMZ insiders, Carey was actually ordered out of the home she’s been sharing with Packer.
But she’s refusing to budge.
The singer is allegedly staying put and will also pack her bags when Packer agrees to buy her another mansion in Los Angeles as part of their divorce settlement.
Here’s the unusual thing, though. Here’s where it gets really weird:
Sources tell the celebrity gossip site that Carey doesn’t blame the breakup on Packer. Instead, her finger is pointed directly as Scientology bigwig Tommy Davis.
Davis formerly worked closely with Tom Cruise until he broke from the controversial organization.
Those close to the legendary singer say she thinks Davis has been negatively influencing Packer, especially when it comes to his relationship with Mariah and all the money he’s been spending on her.
TMZ even writes that Davis as “poisoned the relationship” between Carey and Packer.
When news of this split first broke, outlets did claim that Packer had dumped Carey because he was sick of her lavish spending habits.
These same outlets said that he had no interest in her upcoming reality show and thought less of Carey for wanting to star in it.
HOWEVER, follow-up stories on the breakup alleged that Packer got violent on a yacht in Greece with Carey’s assistant.
There were even articles (from reputable sources such as People and E! News) that quoted insiders who said Packer is mentally unstable and had not been there for Carey in several weeks.
“James is not in a mentally healthy place right now and he has not been present for her,” one of these sources claimed.
“Unfortunately, his absence and behavior was not a good situation for her, so she had to leave him.”
This has quickly turned into one of the stranger celebrity splits in a very long time.
TMZ writes that Packer brought Davis in to help curb wasteful spending… and he immediately identified presents to Mariah as prime examples.
Packer, of course, is a billionaire. He made a fortune in the Australian casino business.
He’s also known to be a bit eccentric.
He rarely speaks to the press and shuns the spotlight, which is why many close to Packer were surprised that he proposed to someone as attention-hungry as Carey.
He even did so with a 35-carat, $ 10 million diamond ring.
Carey, meanwhile, is supposedly demanding $ 50 million from Packer, for a variety of reasons.
She argues that she uprooted her family to be with him in Los Angeles and also that the breakup has left her so distraught she had to cancel a leg of her tour.
This cost her a great deal of money.
Who knows what to believe at this point?
All we know for certain is that Carey will star in a reality series that premiere this December on E!.
And that producers must be popping champagne at the moment over all the storylines they suddenly will be able to feature on the program.

Mariah Carey Goes Out with Backup Dancer, Demands a Fortune from James Packer
News of Mariah Carey and James Packer calling off their engagement has only been public for 36 hours or so.
But the narrative has already changed a number of times, following initial reports that claimed Packer simply grew sick of Carey’s excessive spending habits.
At first, outlets wrote that Packer was turned off by Carey’s upcoming E! reality show and decided that he had had enough of his fiancee’s diva attitude.
And that may still be correct, we suppose.
But then TMZ reported on something that happened between Carey and Packer in Greece, alleging that some kind of incident took place between the billionaire businessman and one of Carey’s assistants.
This rumor then turned even uglier when we heard the encounter was “violent” in nature.
On Thursday night, three different outlets (TMZ, People Magazine, E! News) all shared quotes from anonymous insiders that claimed Packer is mentally unstable.
“James is not in a mentally healthy place right now and he has not been present for her,” one source said, adding:
“Unfortunately, his absence and behavior was not a good situation for her, so she had to leave him.”
Now, E! and TMZ are also reporting that Carey has gotten close to backup dancer Brian Tanaka.
Over the past few weeks, during her estranged period with Packer, Carey “developed a close relationship” with Tanaka, according to an E! insider.
And this isn’t mere talk.
TMZ has shared a video that actually features Carey out for sushi with Tanaka on Thursday night. The two shared a meal at Nobu in Malibu, which is telling in and of itself.
Why? Because Nobu is the sort of establishment people go to when they want their picture taken.
Paparazzi are known to hang out there, just waiting for celebrities to film.
In other words: Carey knew what she was doing and was likely sending a message to Packer.
According to TMZ, Packer had it out with Tanaka in Carey’s Las Vegas dressing room a little while back, actually getting the dancer banned from Caesar’s Palace in the process.
Meanwhile, in a separate report, TMZ claims that Carey is demanding $ 50 million from Packer. For what possible reason?!?
Because, in her view, Packer has cost the singer a fortune.
She says he got her to move from New York to Los Angeles, uprooting her entire life in the process, so he could be near his children.
She also claims the aforementioned incident on the yacht in Greece has traumatized Carey to such an extent she had to cancel the South American leg of her tour.
She alleges that Packer made certain financial promises to her.
We can’t say for certain if any of this is true.
All we can say for certain is that Carey and Packer met in 2014 at a movie premiere in Aspen, Colorado; that the Australian proposed in January 2016 with a 35-carat diamond ring; and that this romance is very much over.
