Sister Wives Season 9 Episode 6 Recap: Meeting Mariah"s Girlfriend

Mariah and Meri Brown have been on the outs for some time now. 

On Sister Wives Season 9 Episode 6, Mariah invited the family to join her and her girlfriend on a march for women in D.C.

When Mariah confirmed to her nearest and dearest that she was gay, Meri did not take it all that well. 

If you watch Sister Wives online, you will know that Meri has been an emotional wreck ever since the catfish scandal rocked the family a few years back. 

This changed Meri’s stance with the family forever, and she has yearned to branch out and forge her own path ever since. 

Meri felt like she should have been told about Mariah’s sexuality sooner, and that’s why there are still issues in the mother-daughter relationship. 

Despite this, Mariah wanted to work at the relationship, and Meri and Janelle were invited along to the march. 

Enter Kody, who was not impressed to hear about the march. The reason for all of it was that his friend was pressing on with a march of his own about legalizing polygamy. 

Without thinking, Kody admitted that the LGBTQ community already had more rights than their family and that they would be wise to focus on legalizing polygamy. 

Meri was not about to allow Kody to mess with her relationship with Mariah, so she told him she would be going to help Mariah out.

There was also the issue of their being drama between Janelle and Meri. The family will likely never get over the catfishing scandal, and that’s why Meri is ready to move on. 

However, Janelle shocked everyone when she did not invite Meri to a family gathering for her son coming home on leave. That was another insight into just how fraught Meri’s relationship with the family is. 

Because of all of the drama, Meri and Janelle debated whether they should even attend the march together. The last thing they wanted was to find themselves in a fight. 

The two women decided to air out their thoughts about everything that had been happening. It was a therapeutic process, and the pair seemed to put the past behind them. 

It was about time. They attended the March and were introduced to Audrey, Mariah’s girlfriend. It all went well, but Mariah was on edge. She expected something to go wrong. 

It’s always tricky meeting the parents, but Audrey was lovely, and the mothers could openly admit that. They were even happy with Mariah’s signs. 

While some were out there, Mariah kept hers reserved because she wanted to send a message to the people they were protesting about.

Mariah"s World Season 1 Episode 3 Recap: Crossing Borders

Last night’s Mariah’s World Season 1 Episode 3 featured our girl arrive late for a concert for reasons that left her fans far from amused.

Her fans in person, that is. On TV, this was pretty funny.

Mariah Carey has always had that diva reputation, so she decided to do something that would elevate that one step further to kick off the latest episode of her surprisingly decent E! reality series. 

On a phone call to her agents, Mariah went forward with a crazy plan to trick her agents. 

“I wanna have these animals. They’re going extinct. I want them to be at the wedding.… It will get more press for them, and more people will donate money.”

Okay, so how would it be possible to have extinct animals at her wedding?

Did Mariah expect her team to go in search of a time portal so they could bring these animals into the present?

Her agents were shocked, but they were even more shocked that Mariah was just joking.

Has Mariah seriously made worse demands than that one? 

Probably. 

After that, Mariah was upset about her hair during a performance and realized that the new hairstylist was just not doing well, so she presented Stella with a shock decision. 

She wanted Stella to rehire her old hairstylist, Danielle.

Stella was not happy about this, but she knew Mariah was not about to roll over and give up. 

Later, Mariah and her team were on a private jet to Luxembourg when disaster struck.

No one knew there was a one-hour time difference from London in Luxembourg. 

This presented a huge issue because it meant that Mariah was going to be late for her concert.

Everyone on the plane was in disbelief.

After so many years in the business, you would think Mariah’s team would know how to check the time in other countries. 

When Mariah arrived on the stage almost 90 minutes late, the crowd were annoyed at waiting so long for her, but how did Mariah react to this?

With sass, of course. 

“They like it when I’m late — they think it’s diva-ish.… I’d rather do my best to get there and give them a good experience.”

If you watch Mariah’s World online, you probably already know that Mariah is actually pretty down to earth. It’s crazy. 

Later, it was time for Bryan to get some more screen time. He got that in the form of being asked to pop out of a cake at Mariah’s “anniversary party.”

Yeah, Mariah is not on board with making birthdays about getting old, but Bryan seems to be smitten with Maria, even if he is not meant to be dating her at this point in the show. 

“I’m really hoping that on her anniversary night, I can have a conversation with MC.… I might have to just steal her for a second.”

Right, we’re VERY intrigued to find out how all of this plays out.

Mariah Carey: Forcing Producers to Edit James Packer Out of Mariah"s World?

Mariah Carey is getting very tired of the old, so she has decided to only care about the new. 

In this instance, that old is her ex-boyfriend, James Packer.

As you probably already know unless you’ve been living under a rock, Mariah is in a new relationship with Bryan Tanaka. 

Viewers have been wondering about the lack of James Packer in the E! reality series.

When the show was filmed, Mariah was still very much in a relationship with the billionaire. 

One of the odd things about the new series is the emphasis that has been put on Bryan. 

It would make anyone think Mariah was being a little too flirty while in a relationship. 

However, we’re now hearing that James’ scenes have been mostly cut out, with scenes of Bryan being inserted into the show. 

“They want the focus of the show to be Mariah finding love, not getting dumped,” says the insider.

Okay then.

It would be pretty silly to have us root for Mariah and James. It would not feel current and would probably make viewers tune out of the show altogether. 

I mean, what’s the point of rooting for a couple we already know is doomed?

Thankfully, the producers seemed to agree with Mariah and have basically ousted James from the whole thing. 

The interesting thing about all of this is that the report even claims Mariah and Bryan got busy filming Thanksgiving scenes that found Mariah getting hot and heavy with Bryan over Thanksgiving. 

We all love a good love story, but it sounds like things are going to get a little bit too convoluted… even for reality TV. 

Viewers like romances that don’t seem forced, but something about Mariah’s latest romance seems like it’s trying too far to be a thing.

Mariah"s World Season 1 Episode 2 Recap: Did Mariah Get Too Close To Bryan Tanaka?

Mariah Carey has it all. 

She has fame, children and a lifestyle that we can only dream of. At least that’s what she wanted viewers to think on Mariah’s World Season 1 Episode 2. 

The singing sensation also proved that she has a heart of gold. How so? Well, Mariah allowed her backup singer, Mary Ann Tatum to bring her 6-year-old son on tour. 

“We’re all single moms, and it’s great. The kids make it so much more fun.” With all of the reports of the diva behavior, this series is definitely showing Mariah in a different light. 

We also got to see some of the finer interactions between Mariah and Bryan Tanaka. Yeah, he’s the dude she’s currently seeing. In the scene, he visited Mariah backstage and it was pretty clear she was trying to get him drunk when she offered him a beer. 

Did she have feelings for him all this time, or are these scenes set up by producers? We’ll probably never know, but they’re great. 

Another key plot focused on Mariah’s “Good Side.” We’ve all heard about it before. It’s the side she will only ever allow herself to be photographed on. 

Speaking to her makeup artist, Mariah revealed that she found out about it when she was just 19-years-old on a photo shoot, but she did not reveal who told her about it. 

After being three hours late to the Glasgow opening night, Mariah became embroiled in a bitter feud between Anthony and Mary Ann. Mary Ann took aim at Anthony because he refused to get on the bus with her and the other backup singers. 

Mariah tried to be the keeper of the peace because she didn’t like friction on her tour. However, Anthony felt the need to answer Mariah back and she laid down the law in spectacular fashion. 

“Don’t be saucy on camy,” she barked. 

I’m going to assume that meant camera. LOL. 

Anthony had some words of his own for the camera, but he didn’t seem to address the fact that he was being an ass about the whole situation. 

“For some reason, Mariah and I are off tonight.… I felt like I didn’t connect with her, like I always connect with her.”

Yeah, okay then. 

After Anthony finally got his own way and got his own bus, he tried to hug Mary Ann, but she was not ready to make friends with him yet. 

“Get off me — I will hit you,” she scowled. 

Who would have thought Mariah’s World would have arguments like that? We’re genuinely intrigued and can’t wait to see how all of this plays out for the cast members. 

Funnily enough, Mariah is not the one causing all the drama.

Mariah"s World Recap: A Vision of Love, British Accents

Mariah’s World, which premiered last night, sought to answer a time-honored question pondered by generations of music and gossip fans:

What is it like to live in Mariah Carey’s world?

Well, on Mariah’s World Season 1 Episode 1, viewers witnessed the pop singing great and renowned diva grapple with many hurdles.

Professionally, and obviously, personally.

We kicked things off with Mariah introducing us to her world in the most bizarre fashion. Seriously, it was awful. 

She dressed up as “Bianca Storm” and started lifting the lid on the life of the singing sensation, while speaking in a British accent. 

“I can’t describe Mariah…. The world doesn’t know how awful she really is.”

As we all know already, Mariah and James Packer are no more, but the episode was showing us just how the cracks started to appear in the relationship. 

Their schedules were just all over the place, so it’s clear the show was always going to foreshadow the end of the relationship. 

Mariah was vocal to her management about having a lot on her plate with her tour and wedding. It was clear Mariah was probably going to have to delay the wedding to be able to do the tour. 

It sucks, but that’s just what happens sometimes. 

If you thought things could not get anymore ridiculous, Stella interviewed someone to join Mariah’s team and made the woman promise not to be in a relationship for the first year. 

The woman was in a relationship. 

Yikes. 

A very odd thing about the episode was that Mariah reconnected with Bryan Tanaka, who just so happens to be her current boyfriend. 

Mariah and Bryan were spotted getting hot and heavy in Hawaii days ago. It’s great we’re getting to see how their relationship started and all, but it kind of sucks there’s going to a lot of focus on her ill-fated relationship with James in the mix, too. 

Hopefully the James stuff is over with in the next few weeks, so we can move on and get to know what’s the script with Mariah and Bryan. 

They seem like a much more interesting pairing. Right?

Mariah’s tour then kicked off in not so stellar fashion. Her nanny packed her passport in a suitcase, causing a three-hour delay for the opening of her tour in Glasgow, Scotland. 

“I’m very, very, very stressed about this whole thing.… We don’t have costumes, we don’t have a rehearsal.”

The new assistant then struggled to get Mariah’s Apple TV working, forcing Mariah into floods of tears. 

Yeah, we’re sitting here wondering what the heck we just watched, too. 

“Mariah’s World” was an apt title for the series. People have been wondering what her life is like, so she’s giving them a first hand account of it. 

It’s as ludicrous as you would expect!

Mariah"s World Trailer: Bring on the Puppies!

Between the diva and the legend, there"s…

… Mariah.

So teases a new, rather strange trailer for Mariah"s World.

The singer was joined by producers of the series on Wednesday at the Television Critics Association summer press tour in Los Angeles, teasing the upcoming program in the most Mariah Carey way possible.

“I don’t consider it reality,” Carey said of the show.

It"s worth mentioning that she said this while perched in a purple throne and surrounded by nearly a dozen shirtless models.

She went on to tell reporters that the series is just about her life.

"It feels like a documentary. I don’t even watch reality [TV]. I don’t even know what reality is."

That may be the most self-aware thing Mariah Carey has ever said.

Carey, who is engaged to James Packer and who is awful according to Demi Lovato, will anchor this eight-part special "event," as it"s billed in the following preview.

It will chronicle the eccentric and flamboyant pop star as she kicks off the European leg of her latest concert tour, while simultaneously planning her upcoming nuptials.

According to E! News, Carey has granted the network “exclusive access to her life behind the mic, including her family, friends and inner circle."

In the trailer, Carey scoffs at the notion that she is high maintenance, making it seem like she"s just joking around when she makes certain demands.

Like for puppies in her dressing room. Come on, do people really think she wants puppies in her dressing room?

Although… come to think of it… how great would it be to have puppies in her dressing room?!?

Elsewhere, Carey hinted to television critics this week that estranged husband Nick Canon may turn up on the show, before playfully adding:

“I don’t know if he’ll make the final cut."

In the end, Carey outlined her goal for the series as “to make it something that can be a lasting piece of work for my fans. And for my kids.”

Will she accomplish this task? Mariah"s World premieres on December 4.

The eight-part E! reality series will chronicle Carey’s life as she prepares for her tour and her marriage to James Packer.

The artist and the billionaire got engaged in January of this year after just a few months of dating.

Among other ridiculous things Carey says in the following Mariah"s World trailer, she refers to her upcoming nuptials as "most important event that"s ever happened."

Yes, EVER.

In another clip, the five-time Grammy winner refuses to take off her sunglasses while indoors:

"I"m wearing these glasses because we"re in fluorescent lighting, and I have a rule which states that I will not be seen in fluorescent lighting without sunglasses," she explains. "I know, it"s very "90s."

It"s very something, we know that much.

And that something is so unappealing it makes us wonder whether Kim Kardashian will no longer be E"s least likable star in just a few months.

The network is yet to set a premiere date for this nauseating series.

“I am not Cinderella, my life has not been a fairy tale,” says Carey in the preview. “Forget the image. Forget the rumors. I owe this to the fans.”

Nick Cannon: Posts HILARIOUS Response to Mariah"s Engagement

Yesterday we learned that Mariah Carey became engaged to billionaire boyfriend James Packer, and Nick Cannon, for one, is being a great sport about it.

Carey’s ex and America’s Got Talent host reposted a hilarious meme in which he is lying unconscious in a hospital bed as Kevin Hart hovers over him saying, “It’s just a ring, Nick.”

The meme is funny for sure, but the rock that now resides on Carey’s finger is in fact a whopping 35 CARATS, making it one of the biggest diamond rings on the planet.

By comparison, Kim Kardashian’s ring is 15 carats and Beyonce’s is 18, so Mariah’s new bling has them beat by about double. 

Hell, a glimpse of that piece easily might’ve knocked me out, too.

But Cannon appears to hold no ill will toward the couple, and even offered his enthusiastic congratulations in the caption:

“Ha! This made me laugh out loud for real!!! HILARIOUS! #AllLove Congrats to @MariahCarey and James! May God Bless Your Future Union… #GreatPeople #GreatCouple”

Evidently, Cannon is staying true to his word that he’ll never diss his ex-wife. 

“I will never say anything negative about @MariahCarey. We are forever a family rooted in love,” he said after the two split in 2014.

Carey and Cannon share custody of their four-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe and the four have spent holidays together since the divorce.

Looks like Nick is keeping it classy. Chelsea Handler, on the other hand…
