Wheel of Fortune Contestant Nearly Ends Twitter with NSFW Guess
Welp, this was a different kind of Wheel of Fortune guess.
We"ve shared in the past some of the worst puzzle responses of all-time (such as THIS ONE), but the one featured on this page is really unlike any in game show history.
During a round of “same name,” Melanie Sinany looked at a nearly-completely board and proudly announced her guess for what was supposed to be “bridal & cold shower."
Right?
You would have said that if you saw the puzzle above, wouldn"t you?
However, Sinany said Gold Shower instead, causing quite the uproar within the studio and across social media.
Host Pat Sajak simply uttered a “sorry” after this failed guess, while Vanna White stood at the board looking stunned.
(For those innocent and unaware, a golden shower is when one sexual partner urinates on the other. Ask our President about it. He"ll explain.)
“A woman on Wheel of Fortune just guessed ‘GOLD’ for the part of the phrase ‘COLD SHOWER’ and I’ve never regretted failing to capture something on my phone more,” one Twitter user wrote in reply to this mishap.
Added another:
“Idk how many times I hit rewind bc I was laughing soo hard and the camera was shaking."
Another chimed in as follows:
"#goldshower And just like that, Awkward Moment on @wheeloffortune and YouTube fame for Melanie after guessing Gold Shower.
"I wonder if Pat will say anything about it at the end of the game. Poker faces from Pat and Vanna were priceless."
And another:
"I feel blessed that I caught this magical Wheel of Fortune moment just now.”

Heiress Used Her Fortune to Bankroll NXIVM Sex-Slave Cult
We all know how Smallville actress Allison Mack became a leader in a sex-slave cult. But she and cult leader Keith Raniere were not in this venture alone.
NXIVM, the sex-slave cult that lured women into its ranks under the guise of a women’s empowerment, was financed by heiress Clare Bronfman.
Bronfman has now been busted for racketeering and other charges in connection with her involvement.
Clare Bronfman is a Seagram’s liquor heiress and the daughter of the late Edgar Bronfman.
The 39-year-old is a wealthy philanthropist and she is also known as a dedicated equestrian.
She is also very much under arrest after the police say that she used her inherited wealth to bankroll NXIVM. They say that she was one of the organization’s leaders.
On Tuesday, she was busted for racketeering and a number of other crimes.
She plead not guilty to conspiring with Raniere to steal the email passwords of his (perceived) enemies, place charges on the credit card of his deceased ex, and launder money in order to help a non-citizen gain fraudulent entry to the U.S.
Clare and her sister, Sara, were both involved in NXIVM, but it sounds like Clare is — for the moment — the one facing criminal charges.
Prosecutors say that Clare and Sara financed NXIVM, helping to lend it credibility as a self-help organization. Which, in turn, helped Raniere to lure more alleged victims.
As you may recall from last November’s explosive report when Allison Mack was outed as a “master” in a sex-slave cult, the allegations are that NXIVM functions like a pyramid scheme, in which women are expected to recruit new members.
Unfortunately, the allegations say that these women must surrender blackmail material in order to advance, and are then branded with Keith Raniere’s initials.
According to reports, these women ultimately answered to Mack, who was entrusted with selecting which women would have sex with Raniere.
Unfortunately, this is said to have gone far beyond mixing roleplay with sex.
First of all, former members of NXIVM and its internal organization, DOS (dominance over the slave women) have come forward and revealed that they ddi not know that they were going to be branded.
Second of all, the blackmail material existed to discourage women from balking at Mack’s orders.
Additionally, it was said that physical punishments, from sleep deprivation to even violence, was wielded to encourage the “slaves” to toe the line.
Sex is not consensual if you’re being threatened or blackmailed into saying “yes.”
On the NXIVM website, Clare Bronfman claimed: “neither NXIVM nor Keith have abused or coerced anyone.”
Interestingly, she did confirm that DOS exists within NXIVM.
“W]hile I am not and never have been a member of the sorority,” Clare wrote. “[It] has not coerced nor abused anyone.”
“In fact, the sorority has truly benefited the lives of its members, and does so freely,” Clare claims. “I find no fault in a group of women… freely taking a vow of loyalty and friendship with one another.”
She says that these women do so “to feel safe while pushing back against the fears that have stifled their personal and professional growth.”
“It’s not for any of us to judge how they, or anyone else, choose to advance their lives and values,” Clare rights.
If the choice were truly up to these women, she’d by right. People can have whatever kind of consensual intercourse that they like.
But prosecutors are after Raniere, Mack, and now Bronfman for alleged criminal activities.
It is entirely possible that Bronfman did not know that blackmail and violence were being used. It is not uncommon for people in cults or organized religions to trust their religious leaders absolutely.
If Clare comes to realize the sort of operation that Raniere was running on her dime, perhaps she will turn state’s evidence.
If convicted on all charges, this heiress could potentially face 20 years in prison.

Anthony Bourdain Estate Plans Revealed: Who Will Inherit His Fortune?
It’s been one month since the death of Anthony Bourdain, and the food world is still reeling from the loss of arguably its best-known and most-beloved figure.
But while millions may have felt that they knew Bourdain personally, no one has been more affected by his tragic suicide than the small inner circle that included his girlfriend, Asia Argento, and his beloved 11-year-old daughter Ariane.
Despite finding fame later in life, Bourdain amassed a sizable fortune during his two decades in the public eye.
While the total of his cash savings might not be as high as fans would expect, Bourdain’s properties and other assets ensure that Ariane and his other loved ones will not be left wanting in their time of grief.
According to The New York Daily News, Ariane will inherit the vast majority of her father’s $ 1.2 million estate.
The paper reports that Bourdain had $ 425,000 in savings and cash at the time of his death.
He also had $ 35,000 in brokerage funds, $ 250,000 in personal property and another $ 500,000 in “intangible property including royalties and residuals.”
Most of that will now pass to Ariane, with her mother, Bourdain’s estranged second wife Ottavia Busia-Bourdain, serving as executor of the estate for as long as Ariane is a minor.
Bourdain also had a $ 1.1 million mortgage, but the exact location of the property was not revealed in his will.
Strangely, if Ariane were to die, the estate would pass not to her mother, but to her nanny, a woman named Myra Quizon.
Bourdain skyrocketed to fame at the age of 44 with the publication of his bestselling memoir, Kitchen Confidential.
He later revealed that at the time the book was written, he was massively in debt and had never even had a savings account.
The surprise success of Kitchen Confidential made Bourdain a household name virtually overnight and resulted numerous lucrative media deals.
(The book was even adapted into a short-lived sitcom starring a young Bradley Cooper as an irascible chef named Jack Bourdain.)
In the years that followed, Bourdain would host multiple popular television series and publish 10 more books, ranging from travelogues to graphic novels.
In the weeks after his death, several of Bourdain’s best-loved works re-entered the bestseller list.
While Bourdain might be best remembered as a TV personality, he’s always stated that he felt he was better suited to the less glamorous worlds of cooking and writing.
It’s a testament to how well he spent his tragically foreshortened life that Bourdain earned the respect of fans and colleagues alike in so many widely varied ventures.
His daughter may not have had much time with her father, but fans can take some solace in the fact that she’ll be well provided for.

Wheel of Fortune Player Flubs Puzzle Pronunciation, Loses Thousands
We have good news for the following Wheel of Fortune contestant:
Previous contestants have messed up worse than this. (See pieces of footage below.)
But we also have bad news for this Wheel of Fortune contestant:
This is still a pretty terrible screw-up.
On Monday evening"s edition of this beloved game show, a man named Jonny, was doing very well, filling in the final letters of the puzzle, “Flamenco Dance Lessons."
All the guy had to do was read the completed puzzle out loud to solve it and win $ 7,100.
Easy peasy, right? Not quite.
Unfortunately for Jonny, he said “flamingo” instead of “flamenco.”
It was a small slip-up, but not small enough to not be noticed.
Host Pat Sajak called Jonny out for the mistake, allowing fellow contestant Ashley a shot at the solve and awarding her $ 1,000 for reading the puzzle correctly.
Jonny looked confused and stricken as Sajack explained the mispronunciation and promised to review the play during the commercial break.
Earlier in this same episode, Jonny landed on the $ 2,500 mark and was two letters from solving the puzzle, whose final words read as follows:
“Dog and Pony Show Me the Money."
At the time, it was missing the letters "g" and "p."
But Jonny asked for a "c" and also failed to win that round. Ouch.
As you can see above, plenty of Wheel of Fortune players have screwed up even worse than Jonny.
But that probably isn"t of much comfort right now to him.
Watch the mishap below and join us in feeling terrible for poor Jonny:

Jamie Spears: Kevin Federline is a Broke Loser Who Wants Britney"s Fortune!
Last month, it was revealed that Britney’s ex Kevin Federline has asked for more child support. He is the father of both of her amazing sons.
While Britney treasures her children and would do anything for them, a lot of people are wondering how her current, substantial child support payments are falling short.
Which led to Britney’s father meeting with Kevin’s attorney and demanding to know why Kevin needs more cash.
Reportedly, Britney Spears is pissed that K-Fed is grubbing after more cash.
Really, anyone who’s ever had to pay a bill in their life has some questions about a guy who says that $ 20,000 a month isn’t enough to pay for two kids who only live with him sometimes.
Now, it turns out that someone else is mad about it — her dad.
Jamie (not to be confused with Jamie Lynn Spears, Britney’s sister) is Britney’s father, and he apparently sat down with Kevin’s attorney.
TMZ has details on how that meeting went down, and it does not sound like anybody left the room satisfied.
According to TMZ‘s report, the meeting was set up last week, when Jamie received a letter from K-Fed’s attorney, asking for a sit-down, face-to-face meeting to discuss Kevin’s request for more child support.
Jamie had apparently already been suspicious of why Kevin might “need” more child support money each month. So it’s probably safe to say that he was wary.
It seems that Kevin’s attorney told Jamie at this meeting that, since Jayden and Sean Preston are now 11 and 12 respectively, attending to their needs and wants during his time with them had grown more expensive.
(More than $ 10,000 per month each, apparently)
As you might imagine, Jamie then reportedly asked what exactly the boys needed but Kevin currently couldn’t afford to give them.
Kevin’s attorney apparently couldn’t answer, but told Jamie that Kevin wanted to be able to take care of the boys “at Britney’s level.”
(First of all, nobody is on Britney’s level, so jot that down)
Jamie replied that Britney hasn’t found that her tween sons are suddenly more expensive to look after, and that she’s taking care of them just as she always has.
So … Jamie wasn’t seeing what had really changed.
TMZ‘s sources say that this is when Kevin’s lawyer started singing Britney’s praises and listing her recent successes.
Britney’s Vegas residency has come to an end, and she made bank.
Jamie replied that he didn’t see how Britney’s success suddenly made her sons more expensive to support.
In fact, he didn’t see how that could have any bearing on child support payments. The couple divorced nearly 11 years ago.
Jamie, still suspicious of Kevin’s use of the funds, then pointed out that Britney is not responsible for supporting Kevin Federline’s other children or other families — because Sean Preston and Jayden have four half-siblings.
Besides, Britney paid K-Fed $ 1.3 million when they divorced and paid him spousal support for years. Normally spousal support is intended to help people whose careers were harmed or abandoned for marriage.
It’s difficult to argue that Kevin Federline’s fame or career was in any way worsened by his marriage to one of the most famous pop stars on the planet.
It’s clear from this report that Jamie seems to believe that K-Fed is funneling some of the child support money to unintended purposes, perhaps to himself or to his other children and other families.
And so Jamie apparently believes that any further money would also be misused.
It is possible, however, that Kevin wants to treat his sons, and that he feels increasingly inadequate in the face of their mother, one of the most talented and successful women that the world has ever seen or ever will see.
If it comes down to a court battle rather than a “quiet” settlement, it’s likely that Kevin will be asked to account for how that money is spent on his sons.
In turn, Kevin’s attorney will likely argue that Britney wasn’t actively touring in 2007, and that her newfound success means that the child support agreement should be revisited.
But … if Kevin can’t adequately explain how $ 20,000 a month for two pre-teens isn’t enough, he may find it challenging to be awarded what he wants.
