It looks like “Aaron’s Party” is officially over, since Aaron Carter was arrested and charged with a DUI and drug possession. Though, if we’re being honest, Aaron’s life hasn’t been going so well lately, anyway.
Now, following his arrest, he’s getting into very public conflict with his older brother, Nick Carter.
And, maybe worse, the way that he looks in his mugshot has people so, so worried. He’s almost unrecognizable.
Do you see what we mean?
Aaron Carter does not look his age, and that is not a compliment.
It’s not even an insult — just a statement of fact.
(And, for those of us who enjoyed “Aaron’s Party” and a few other of his songs back in middle school, a statement of concern)
Like, mugshot photos don’t show anyone at their best, and we get that.
But Aaron’s booking photo makes him look like a man is his forties.
And not like, a well-preserved suburban dad who makes more than a few people’s DILF lists.
He looks like his life has been hard on his body and hard on his mind and soul.
Aaron is 29 years old and we are worried.
We know that Aaron Carter has health issues, but we don’t care how skinny he is — this is something more serious than that.
Honestly, many people have suspected that these are the results of years of hard drug use.
(And we don’t mean the marijuana of which he was allegedly in possession)
We’d say that maybe he’ll reach out to his family, but … it looks like that’s not happening.
After Aaron’s arrest for DUI refusal (technically he just refused to take the breathalyzer test, but, in the eyes of the law, that’s about the same as refusing to take a test in school — he failed) and possessing a small amount of marijuana (which is still a crime in Georgia), Nick reached out to him.
And, in case anyone somehow forgot, we definitely mean his very famous brother, Nick Carter.
Nick Carter posted a very public message on Twitter:
“To my brother: I love u no matter what & if u feel the need to reach for help, I am here and willing to help you get better. Family isn’t always easy, [but] we’re all here for you.”
That looks sweet and supportive, right?
Nick Carter was arrested himself in 2016 for a saloon brawl in Florida, because apparently bar fights are real things that still happen.
(Though, this was Florida and also 2016 was an accursed hell-year when murderous clowns were an epidemic, so … we don’t know what to tell you)
But apparently Aaron Carter didn’t find that sweet or touching or supportive at all.
In fact, he went off on his brother … also in a very public way.
Aaron’s response, though public, focused on the fact that Nick’s response was also public.
“If my own blood (Nick) truly cared about my well-being, why wouldn’t he call me directly and have a conversation instead of making this about him through a very public forum?”
That’s a good question.
Although … we don’t know what things are like between these two, you know?
“That’s not cool at all to use me for his PR and kick me while I am down,” Aaron’s statement concluded.
We don’t know that Nick’s tweet really qualifies as a blatant PR grab.
He wasn’t like “Sorry that Aaron’s doing bad … I’d be happy to take my time off from [Current Project], which fans will love, to come see him.”
Like, they’re Carters, not Kardashians who push products while their brother goes to court.
In fact, maybe Nick knows that Aaron “blows up” like this, and was leery of contacting him personally and getting a different hostile response.
Some people are just hard to talk to.
Aaron’s representative put out a statement.
Aaron has a license for medical marijuana — though that likely doesn’t mean anything in George courts.
(It’ll probably be years before the whole country stops putting people in jail for having pieces of a naughty plant)
He also accuses law enforcement of targeting Aaron because of his celebrity status.
Because it was just days earlier that Aaron was mocking Shia Labeouf’s infamous arrest and flaunting that he himself “has no DUIs,” he looks like a huge hypocrite.
And, given Aaron Carter’s inexplicable support for Trump last year, it’s harder to feel sorry for him.
He has some issues to work out.

Aaron Carter: Arrested for DUI and Drug Possession!
Aaron Carter … well, the guy has seen better days.
Sure, they may have been all the way back when he was a small child, rapping about basketball and wild preteen house parties, but still.
Aaron hasn’t seemed well for several years now, and some events that occurred last night just cemented that fact.
He was driving around somewhere in Georgia when he was pulled over, apparently for some concerning behavior behind the wheel.
But according to a report from TMZ, Aaron refused to do any testing for a DUI — no breathalyzer for him, and no blood or urine tests, either.
So instead of being charged with a DUI, he was technically charged with a DUI refusal, which is also pretty bad news.
According to Georgia law on DUI refusals, the arresting officer most likely took his license right then and there.
He’s entitled to a hearing, but if he doesn’t have one or if he loses his case, his license could be suspended for an entire year.
In addition to the DUI refusal, Aaron was also arrested for drug possession and possession of drug-related objects — there was a small amount of marijuana found in the car, and presumably some means to smoke it.
He was taken to the local jail and booked on a $ 4,610 bond. As of right now, he’s still there.
His girlfriend, Madison Parker, is there with him on a $ 4,360 bond.
She was in the car with him, and charged with drug possession and also obstruction of law enforcement officers.
So it’s pretty safe to say that this hasn’t been a great weekend for Aaron Carter.
Just to pile on to the issues, it seems like there was already something going on earlier that afternoon.
Though the arrest happened around 9:00 PM last night, a tweet was made to his account at 2:08 PM about a concert he was scheduled to perform that night.
“Due to transportation issues, Aaron will not make his set time tonight in Kansas City,” the tweet read.
“He promises to come back soon. He apologizes to his fans in KC and Mix 93.3.”
So he was cruising around in Georgia when he was supposed to be in Kansas City? What’s the story there?
Whatever the reason for the canceled concert, it’s clear that this arrest is just another sad chapter in Aaron’s story.
Just a few weeks ago, he shared a photo of himself in the emergency room, claiming that he was having a checkup to make sure he was prepared for touring.
And just a few weeks before that, his father passed away.
Just be OK, Aaron.

Jay-Z"s Mom Gloria Carter Comes Out as Lesbian in New Song!
Jay-Z took a page out of Beyonce’s Lemonade playbook and dropped an album, 4:44, out of the blue that nobody can stop talking about.
Between the huge new revelations about Jay-Z’s cheating and Beyonce’s miscarriages, some otherwise big deals were contained in that album that really deserve a little more attention.
Like Jay-Z’s mom, Gloria Carter, coming out as a lesbian on the new album’s third track. Yes, really.
Jay-Z isn’t using subtle references to Sappho or Victorian-era symbolism, either.
His lyrics in the song, “Smile,” really spell things out.
“Mama had four kids, but she’s a lesbian, had to pretend so long that she’s a thespian. Had to hide in the closet, so she medicate. Society shame and the pain was too much to take.”
It gets better.
We’re not just saying the phrase, “It gets better.” We mean that the story told through these lyrics absolutely get more uplifting.
“Cried tears of joy when you fell in love. Don’t matter to me if it’s a him or her. I just want to see you smile through all the hate.”
That is precious.
The song is “Smile” by Jay-Z featuring Gloria Carter, so yes, she absolutely makes her own voice heard in the track.
“Living in the shadow. Can you imagine what kind of life it is to live? In the shadows people see you as happy and free, because that’s what you want them to see. Living two lives, happy, but not free.”
Again, this is Gloria Carter’s turn.
And she continues:
“The world is changing and they say it’s time to be free, but you live with the fear of just being me.”
The world is changing, but like any civil rights movement, even the major milestones don’t necessarily change hearts and minds, and certainly not overnight.
And many in the LGBT+ community have to combat their own internalized homophobia.
That is, they’ll shy away from things like holding hands with a partner or attending Pride activities.
“Living in the shadow feels like the safe place to be. No harm for them, no harm for me. But life is short, and it’s time to be free. Love who you love, because life isn’t guaranteed. Smile.”
That’s so powerful.
Jay-Z was one of the first big names in the world of rap to openly support marriage equality, speaking out in 2012.
He described opposing marriage equality as discrimination (which it obviously is), akin to racist descrimination.
That may sound academic these days, but in 2012, Obama himself had only just begun to openly support marriage equality.
Back in 2008, and in every election beforehand, no major candidate could openly support the marriage rights of the LGBT+ community without being branded a “radical” by large portions of the electorate.
Bigotry is real, but cultures do get better over time. Little by little.
Unfortunately, there are almost certainly other women who are living Gloria Carter’s story.
Women who are raising children and afraid to come out as bi or gay because they don’t want their children to grow up with that stigma.
Because yes, homophobia persists, especially in certain communities.
By releasing this track, Jay-Z can really spread how personally this impacts him and how homophobia can ruin lives.
By coming out, Gloria Carter has made a huge step for lesbians but especially for lesbians of color, who face homophobia, racism, and misogyny.
Today is the end of June and therefore the last day of Pride Month.
Did Jay-Z drop the album last night as much because his and Beyonce’s twins, named Rumi and Sir according to reports, are alive and healthy and so he felt free to tell the story of past betrayals and miscarriages?
Did he drop it so that his mother could celebrate Coming Out on the last day of Pride?
Or did he somehow balance his and Beyonce’s twins and the month of Pride and choose today as the perfect (or last viable) day for his album’s release?
That’s genuinely impressive.
Though … Lemonade still takes the cake.

Aaron Carter Attacks Body Shamers, Ends Up in Hospital
The worst week of Aaron Carter’s life has concluded with him in the hospital.
On Thursday night, the singer went off on a Tweet storm in response to the influx of body-shaming he’s unfortunately experienced of late.
The artist jumped on his social media account following a concert in Syracuse that evening, during which he overheard fans making fun of his gaunt figure.
(Carter opened up last month about his diagnosis of a hiatal hernia at the age of 19, saying the medical condition makes it difficult for him to eat.)
“I’m entirely hurt by a so-called fan that I just encountered,” Carter wrote on Twitter, explaining in further detail:
“She wasn’t realizing I was listening, she said I look like I have cancer. This is body shaming. You guys are bullying me. I’ve already addressed my medical issues.”
The singer added the hashtag “#bodyshaming” to his message.
Not long after sending this Tweet, Carter provided followers with an update of his condition – and his whereabouts.
“Lots of shows lately, had to head up to ER just to get a little check up these shows are crazy lately gotta make sure I stay strong,” wrote Carter as a caption to the photo above.
He added another image of himself in a wheelchair and added:
“I’ll recover.”
Just a few weeks ago, Carter’s dad passed away.
This tragic event took place five years after his sister, Leslie Carter, died of a drug overdose at age 25.
The star referenced these sad developments in a follow-up Tweet, writing:
“I’ve literally had the hardest week of my life, my dad past [sic] away my late sisters birthday anniversary was June 6th & people #BodyShame me…
“I promise I’ll work on getting bigger physically I have medical issues I don’t want to discuss at this time. #GodBless.”
Carter’s diatribe continued throughout Thursday night and into most of Friday, as he re-Tweeted thoughts from supporters and shot back at others who questioned his weight.
“I’m sorry I’m not fat enough. For my fake fans,” he said.
“I’m sorry I’m not good enough or heavy enough to be attractive… I’m bullied and body shamed by the world… They literally won’t stop bullying me…
“They won’t leave me alone. I’m getting hate messages and death threats.”
Continued the angry and upset singer:
“Been in the hospital three times this month, dealing with health issues and broken fingers as well as things I can’t legally discuss.
“Do I have to do a spinal tap to prove to people? They’re trolling me and causing me so much insecurities.”
At times, Carter did appear hopeful.
He tried to remain upbeat.
“I’m not ashamed of my body,” he wrote on Instagram. “Maybe I’m too skinny, maybe I’m too short but the one thing I know is I love my fans my family my girlfriend and my friends. I’m #NotPerfect you never know what someone is going through.
“We are not immortal. #embracelove…
“All I can do is my best in my life with the conditions I have I need to stay strong, I’m so grateful for my fans, YOU mean the world to me.
“Progress is better than perfection. It’s OK to be on a self-love journey, so don’t beat yourself up if u have yet to reach your destination.”
Finally, on Friday, Carter shared the following picture:
“My appetite is coming back,” he wrote. “#StayingPositive.”
