Come to think of it, Jonathan Cheban is only famous for being friends with Kim Kardashian.

But such is Kim’s level of fame these days that she not only makes other people famous just by virtue of knowing her, she also makes the people those people know semi-famous for the simple reason that they have just two degrees of separation from the world’s most famous ass.

(No, we’re not talking about Kanye.)

All of this is a long way of saying that just as Jonathan rose to the level of D-lister through his association with Kim, so too did his girlfriend, Anat Popovsky, ascend to the level of – eh, let’s say M-lister – by dating Jonathan.

Unfortunately, it looks like the 26-year-old’s career as professional girlfriend to a professional friend has come to an end, as Radar Online is reporting that Cheban and Popovsky have called it quits.

Insiders say Cheban was the one who decided to pull the plug and worse, it sounds like he more or less just ghosted her.

“He has been rude to Anat lately,” says one insider.

“Jonathan was partying in Monaco with models,” the source adds. “It was like he didn’t give a f–k at all.”

Sadly, it probably didn’t come as much of a surprise to Popovsky.

Rumors about Cheban cheating on her have been circulating for months.

And as Kardashian fans are well aware, Cheban is pretty much the worst.

Jonathan Cheban Brags About Kim Kardashian, Sounds Like a Tool

The Daily Mail seems to find this guy interesting.

The rest of us find him irritating and self-important.

Jonathan Cheban, the self-proclaimed “best friend” of Kim Kardashian, was invited to speak on a panel at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, which features people working in the fields of advertising, creative communications and the like.

Since his 4 minute appearance on the UK’s Celebrity Big Brother, Cheban has found a tiny bit of fame across the pond, though he once told co-star Gemma Collins that he didn’t need CBB for his career.

“It’s not that, I’m huge here,” Cheban told her.

“We’re [Keeping Up With The Kardashians] on in 180 countries!”

Fast-forward to June 22nd, and Collins has been reunited with Cheban.  The two friends were part of a panel that included social media dude The Fat Jewish (who happened to be wearing shorts with photos of Kim Kardashian’s cry face).

“Does she cry a lot?” fellow panelist Katie Hopkins asked Cheban of his bestie.

“No, no,” he insisted.

“But she has the best crying face. I think she was in tears there [while filming in Bora Bora] because she had lost an earring.”

It’s true.  Kardashian’s ex-husband, Kris Humphries threw her into the water, and this happened:

When asked how he keeps his friendship with Kardashian so strong, Cheban explained that theirs is a “very competitive industry.

“We all started at the same place eight or nine years ago and people are envious of us. They want to break up our friendship.”

Sage words, Cheebs.

“‘How do you do it?” Hopkins asked.

“I don’t know,” he answered. “I think God just blessed me.”

At dinner later, Cheban was seated next to Martha Stewart, who had no idea who he was or why he was famous.

“do you know this guy?? He says he is well known,” Stewart tweeted.

“This is always with me, all the Cartier stuff.”

Jonathan Cheban Replaces BFF Kim Kardashian With Her Lookalike: WATCH

Jonathan Cheban is probably the most annoying reality show best friend in history.

Famous only for following Kim Kardashian around like a puppy, we surmise the only reason she keeps him on is because few others would be able to tolerate her level of narcissism.

But in this preview clip for Keeping Up With the Kardashians, it appears a wedge has been driven between the BFFs, and it looks exactly like Kim.

Because the real Kim has been shunning Cheebs of late, he decided to go out and get a brand new Kim – a Kim Kardashian lookalike named Kamilla Osman.

Not weird at all.

With Kamilla in tow, Jonathan "accidentally" bumps into Kim at the plastic surgery center they so often frequent.

Kim explains that she is there waiting for a friend while Jonathan says he wants to get something on his eye lasered. 

He introduces Kim and Kamilla and it"s crazy awkward.

"Nice to meet you, finally," Kamilla tells Kim, who is looking pretty stunned.

Jonathan then guilt-trips Kim for not spending enough time with him.

"I was taking her with me because you"re too busy to hang out with me but meanwhile you"re here hanging out with somebody so I"m pissed," he tells her.

"This is super awkward," Kim says in her confessional to camera. "The fact that Jonathan would take it to this level is so bizarre to me."

Jonathan then says he had a great lunch with his bestie clone and the two women take some selfies together, resplendent with duck lips.

But while she keeps her cool around Kamilla, Kim isn"t pleased with her friend"s antics.

"Jonathan"s trying to rub this in my face and make me feel like some type of way, but I don"t," she told the camera. "Having two kids is a lot and, like, your priorities just change."

"Jonathan can go and try all he wants to go and replace me, but he can"t. Go try, honey, go try."

Jonathan Cheban Cheating on Girlfriend with Mystery Brunette?

Jonathan Cheban partied hard in the Hamptons at the weekend, but his girlfriend was ominously missing. 

We know Kim Kardashian’s BFF loves a good party, but it seems he was enjoying this one without his girlfriend, Anat Popovsky. 

The Hamptons is a great place to kick of the summer parties, but it’s pretty darn odd that Popovsky was nowhere to be seen. 

Instead, Cheban settled for a brunette who totally wasn’t his girlfriend. 

Yikes. 

According to Radar Online, the pretty girl in question is Ksenia Sles, but that’s about all we know about the chick. 

Cheban and Popovsky have not been photographed together since early April, so there’s every possibility that they’ve called it quits. 

But there’s no need to keep it on the down low.  

Remember his insane TV show demands when he was on Celebrity Big Brother?

Might he have had lofty demands for Popovsky that lead to them cooling things off?

It’s well known that the BFF of Kim Kardashian loves to be in the headlines, so there’s no denying that he would have relished this opportunity for some free publicity. 

Things are so much better when they’re free, right?!

The thing is, he looked shocked that he was having his picture taken with Sles, so there’s that. 

Why would he have been so shocked? 

He was at a freaking party in the Hamptons, so it’s not like he wouldn’t have expected cameras to be all over the joint. 

Could this all be part of his master plan to get back in the limelight?

There was that story about Kim’s bestie hiding a secret love child just a few weeks ago after all.

Either way, we’ll need to wait and see how this one develops.

Jonathan Cheban: Further Proof Kim"s Bestie Is THE WORST

Prepare yourselves.  

Jonathan Cheban’s only claim to fame is that he’s Kim Kardashian’s stage-five clinger “best friend,” and to prove it he took part in the most obnoxious, spoiled and self-important interview I think I’ve ever read.

Fishwrapper found the piece, conducted by New You, in which Cheban welcomed the journalist into an office at Trump Tower in New York.

Cheban, 41, will soon make history as having the douchiest job on planet earth, when The International School of New York opens its doors to the future 1%.

“This is another project I am working on,” Cheban said.

“I am developing the entire pop culture program for this school here in the Trump Tower. Wealthy kids from all over the world will learn things about private aviation, social media, quality of diamonds, types of caviar, mixed in with economics and other fundamental undergrad and grad classes. This is the social stuff you need to know to survive in a city like this with a lot of money. If you are buying a diamond you need to know the clarity and if you are buying a private jet you need to know the different leathers and seats. I’ll basically be the Dean of Pop Culture at the school.”

I hate this guy.

Cheban boasts about being very “in the know,” and claims to be developing a TV show that is Lifestyles Of The Rich and Famous for young, cool people.

“Did you ever watch Guy Fieri’s show Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives? This is the opposite,” Cheban explained of his proposed program.

“People want to know where Beyoncé sits at a hot restaurant. It’s not about billion dollar houses; no one cares about that. They want to know where the hot stuff is and nobody knows better than me. I live it!”

Old people are, like, the worst, according to Cheban.  Youth is his tonic.

“I can get inspired from them because they are in the streets, not older people who have knowledge which is useless now. It’s all about social media and he has made the streets most relevant,” he proclaimed.

Cheban got his start in PR after working for a New York publicist who was asked to throw Sean Combs a party in the late ’90s, but declined.

So, Cheban blew that popsicle stand and started his own company, taking on Combs as his first client and declaring Jennifer Lopez a lame coattail-rider (a bold statement, coming from him).

“I feel it’s all because of Diddy and Benny Medina that J.Lo is J.Lo today. She could have been just another boring singer,” Cheban said.

What’s an interview with this guy without the mention of his golden goose, Kim.

“Everyone wants to be like Kim even if they aren’t gorgeous. They will try in their own version to dress like her,” Cheban pointed out.

“She’s very aspirational because she is a regular girl; she’s not a movie star. There are more seasons of the Kardashians than I Love Lucy. She’s a TV star. This also drives me nuts about people saying, ‘Why is she famous?’ If you have a TV show for 20 seasons in 180 countries, you would be famous as well, but you do not.”

Jonathan Cheban Quits Reality Show: I"m Famous Enough!!!

Cheebs is over it.

Today, Jonathan Cheban’s “team” confirmed via Twitter that the marginally-famous reality star left Celebrity Big Brother UK.

Kim Kardashian’s best friend complained of feeling “edgy” and “claustraophobic” in the Real World-style house, where he competed against other quasi-famous contestants to win some nonexistent crown.

On Saturday night’s episode, an anxious Cheban asked to speak to producers, then spent an hour by himself in the diary/confessional room.  After he emerged, the aspiring reality star told the others he’d give the show one more night.

“I’m definitely a little bit torn on whether to stay,” Cheban, 41, admitted.

“There’s a point when my mental stability is more important that entertaining.  I know Big Brother would not want me in pain, especially when I give 24-hour entertainment.” 

After Cheban came out of the diary room, Gemma Collins insisted he stay, since it would do wonders for his career in Great Britain.

“It’s not that, I’m huge here,” Cheban assured her.  “We’re on in 180 countries!”

Who’s we, Kemo Sabe?

Things didn’t improve for Cheebs, though.

“I feel like it’s closing in, there’s no room to hide so until I get out of here I’m not going to be calm,” he whined.

“It’s becoming impossible, I can’t sit still, my heart is tight and racing all the time now. I can’t even enjoy it, the fun masks it and now we’re done with the day. I’m so anxious I’m going to have a heart attack.”

So, today the guy who wants to be a star left CBB, safe in his knowledge that he is already a big deal.

Several reports claim that Cheban was wooed by producers, who sent a private plane for his spoiled ass and heeded his demands for expensive meals and a Rolls Royce to drop him off at the house.

Cheban’s grand exit will take place on January 12th episode.

Also in the house this season is David Bowie’s ex-wife, Angie, who opted to remain on the show after learning of the singer’s passing.

Jonathan Cheban: Used on New Reality Show For Kim K Friendship???

When your only claim to fame is your best friend, you have to expect that some might want to use you.

Such is the case for Jonathan Cheban, who signed on to participate in the UK’s Celebrity Big Brother alongside other reality stars and a few actual actors.

One contestant in particular has CBB fans concerned.  Gemma Collins starred in the hugely popular reality show, The Only Way Is Essex (it’s streaming on Hulu and I insist you watch), and recently left to pursue other opportunities.

When the housemates were making introductions, Collins stood out as the most gregarious.  She gave her Dolce & Gabbana heels to New York (Flavor of Love, I Love New York), who celebrated her birthday at the stroke of midnight.

Collins also chatted up Cheban – or “Cheebs” as she nicknamed him, who had a bit of trouble understanding her Essex accent.

“We all speak like this,” Collins explained. “I did get elocution lessons once though.”

Viewers were quick to call out Collins for having ulterior motives.

“Gemma Collins climbing up Jonathan Chebans a*se in the hope of being chummy with Kim K,” one wrote on Twitter.

“Gemma Collins telling Jonathan cheban about her clothing for curvy girls…. Hen give over Kim K won’t be interested,” another chimed in. 

One Tweep came up with a lovely reality pitch:

“Onto gc following Jonathan round cause she’s hoping for “Gemma Collins and Kim K take New York” not soft er.”

The Cheebs reportedly signed a gag order (drafted by Kim Kardashian herself), preventing him from talking about her family on the show.  

Kris Humphries, however, is fair game.

“Cheban has got plenty of gossip and he is bound to be TV gold,” a source told the Daily Star.

Kim Kardashian Makes Jonathan Cheban Sign Gag Order Ahead of Celebrity Big Brother

Someone’s ready to spread his fame wings.

After years of trying to make his on-camera persona a thing, Jonathan Cheban must be enjoying the lime light as he does press ahead of Celebrity Big Brother.

Cheban, who started his career in PR and counts himself as one of Kim Kardashian’s best friends, is the latest American to be cast in the reality series.

Appearing on London morning show Lorraine today, Cheban said that Kardashian “trusts him like a brother,” and called her “the sweetest girl in the entire world.”

This must please Kardashian, who reportedly made Cheban sign a gag order before filming started. 

“Kim has made him sign a gagging order saying what he can and can’t talk about,” a source told the UK’s Daily Star.

“Kanye, North West, Saint West and Caitlyn Jenner and strictly off bounds.  “However, Kim’s ex Kris Humphries is fair game. 

“Cheban has got plenty of gossip and he is bound to be TV gold,” the source added.

Once the ink dried, Kardashian tweeted her support his big break, so to speak.

“OMGGGG I can’t believe @JonathanCheban is doing celeb Big Brother UK. I’m dying to see this! He’s going to be hysterical!!!!”

Cheban has known the Kardashian for nine or so years,

“We’ve been through a lot of people we can’t trust but we’re like family so it’s like trusting your brother, your sister,” he told the British host.

“I’ve been around in LA and Hollywood for a long time and I just happened to sit next to Kim at a birthday dinner by accident… we got on instantly.”

The new season of Celebrity Big Brother airs tomorrow, January 5th.

Kim Kardashian & Jonathan Cheban Squash Feud Rumors

Last week it was rumored that Kim Kardashian was “furious” with Jonathan Cheban after learning that he’d signed up to appear on the UK’s Celebrity Big Brother.

In fact, some claimed that the longtime friendship between Kim and Jonathan was essentially over, as Kim no longer felt that she could trust her number one confidant. Now it seems that is that is the case, Kimmy certainly doesn’t want us to know:

Mrs. Kardashian-West posted the above photo moments ago, along with a caption reading, “Christmas Eve Selfie w my bestie.”

As you may have heard, Kim went into hiding after giving birth to Saint West in an effort to drop some post-baby pounds in private.

She made her triumphant return to social media over the holidays, concealing her figure in a loose-fitting, fur-trimmed black getup that left us wondering if she’s been raiding Jon Snow’s closet.

With the post-pregnancy reveal out of the way, Kim is now subtly assuring fans that she and Cheban are still BFFs.

Was she actually pissed that she signed on to do a reality show without asking her first? We may never know.

Whatever the case, Kim has cut Jonathan off in the past, and she’ll likely do it again. For now, however, they’re the best of besties.

Kim Kardashian to Jonathan Cheban: Keep Your Mouth Shut, Or Else!

Well, this is a pickle.

What happens when the person who made you famous starts giving you ultimatums that could affect your career?

Dunno, but publicist Jonathan Cheban is in the middle of finding that out.  Kim’s best friend and sometimes Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has risen to fame as her “best friend.”

Cheban has been there for the big moments; he helped transport Kardashian’s first engagement ring (from Kris Humphries) from the east coast to Los Angeles, and even helped her steal Kourtney’s breast milk to treat her psoriasis on Kourtney & Kim Take Miami.

Now, that friendship is being tested as it’s reavealed that Cheban has signed on for the upcoming season of Celebrity Big Brother in the UK (past contestants include Jenna Jameson, Farrah Abraham, Perez Hilton, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt).

“Kim is furious with Jonathan because he’s going to be on Celebrity Big Brother in the UK,” a source told Radar Online.  “She’s afraid he’s going to spill all her secrets.”

Cheban has been accused by Kourtney and others in the past of feeding stories to the tabloids, which played out on an episode of Kourtney & Khloe Take The Hamptons.

“She [Kim] gave him an ultimatum, telling him that she didn’t want him to do the show and if he did, she would stop talking to him. 

“Kim thinks that fame has gone to Jonathan’s head. She told him that she doesn’t want him to do the show and if she does she might not let him do KUWTK anymore.”

As her own family grows, Kim has become a little more protective of her personal life.  The fact that Jonathan could potentially thrust that part of her into the spotlight has Kim worried.

“She told him he had better not spend the whole time talking about her,” the source added.

Jonathan Cheban: Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian Will Get Through This!

Prior to Scott Disick checking into rehab, Jonathan Cheban spoke out in his defense – and offered a surprisingly optimistic assessment of his future.

That includes his relationship with Kourtney Kardashian.

Says Jonathan, Kim Kardashian’s longtime best friend:

“There’s three kids, he lives not that far from her. Once he gets this out of his system I’m hoping that it will be somewhat back to normal.”

“I’m sure they can work it out.”

Really? Not hopeful, but sure?

Cheban adds that while Kourtney is “pretty forgiving” and he wishes the best for the couple, he won’t give Disick advice on getting his s–t together.

The rationale there is simple.

“If you tell him not to then there will be two more 18-year-olds,” Cheban says of Disick, who has been linked to Chloe Bartoli and Lindsay Vrckovnik.

“Those 18-year-olds are all in it for pictures on the beach,” Jonathan adds, noting, “it doesn’t necessarily mean that anything is going on.”

Young opportunistic girls, he says, “hang around” for photo ops that come with being out with anyone in the Kardashian-Jenner circle.

He adds, “We’re used to all of that. We know every trick in the book. We’ve been around a long time. Everybody loves the attention.”

So perhaps Scott has not been banging any of his various hangers-on? Would that and getting clean convince Kourt to take him back?

Kardashian and Disick split earlier this summer, and he has struggled to see Mason, 5, Penelope, 3, and Reign, 10 months, since.

It was the prospect of losing them, insiders say, that spurred Scott to get help, and Cheban adds that he wants to see the family whole again.

“They’re really the best together. They’re perfect together,” he says. “So with anybody else it would be like weird. I’m hoping everything works out.
