Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg Land a TV Show. Together.

It’s become quite clear that TV executives are running out of show concepts, because the very idea of sitting Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg on camera together every week is…weird.

Not “funny” weird.  Just weird.

VH1 announced today that the home entertaining expert and the rapper are joining forces to create Martha & Snoop‘s Dinner Party, “a half-baked evening of cooking, conversation and fun where nothing is off limits,” according to a press release obtained by E!.

That sounds a lot like the premise Kocktails With Khloe​, which was billed as a gathering “in the kitchen and around the table for an intimate dinner party filled with cooking, pop culture, conversation and outrageously fun party games.

Stewart and Snoop’s party, of course, will be so much better.

“At our dinner party, we will exemplify America’s fascination with food, entertaining and celebrity,” Stewart said in a statement.

“Martha & Snoop’s Dinner Party will redesign the traditional food competition shows in a new, different and very funny way.”

Snizzle Dizzle echoed his co-host’s sentiments.

“Martha and I have a special bond that goes back,” the rapper stated.

“We’re gonna be cooking, drinking and having a good time with our exclusive friends. Can’t wait for you to see how we roll together!”

VH1 is pretty confident that it can reinvent the wheel and create a hit.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg, two of pop culture’s biggest icons,” VH1 and Logo president Chris McCarthy stated.

“Good parties are filled with fun, food and unexpected guests. Wait til you see what happens at Martha and Snoop’s Dinner Party; it will be unforgettable.”

Stewart’s team Instragram’d the news to followers, promising that she and Snoop will “throw the best dinner parties you’ll ever see on @vh1. Game on, Snoop!”

Stewart and Snoop have been friends for about eight years, after he appeared on her now-defunct talk show to make mashed potatoes.  He taught her slang, she gave him a few lessons in cooking.  BOOM, a friendship was born.

The new series is scheduled to premiere in the fall.

Rob Kardashian and Chyna Officially Land Their Own Reality Show

It’s happening.

E! confirmed in a press release today that Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna have landed their very own reality show, titled Rob & Chyna.

The network ordered six one-hour episodes that will follow “the whirlwind romance of Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna as they prepare for the birth of their first child.”

WAIT THERE’S MORE.

A special will air after the docuseries celebrating the the new arrival (a la Kourtney Kardashian, I guess?).

Ryan Seacrest Productions and Bunim/Murray Productions, the same company behind Keeping Up with The Kardashians, will produce the series, which sees the couple “openly share their new life while setting up their new home and preparing for their first child together.”

Translation: This is going to be a train wreck, so much so that any network would be insane not to capture it.

“Very few love stories have created as much pop culture buzz as Rob and Chyna’s, and we are thrilled to see Rob in such a happy place,” sayeth Jeff Olde, Executive Vice President, Original Programming & Development, E!

“We are excited to share the next chapter in their relationship.”

We are too, considering it’s about six months old.

Kris Jenner will serve as an Executive Producer, while Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna get billing as Co-Executive Producers.

Radar Online reported earlier today that Chyna will finally get some air time on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, which makes sense because it will allow her and the sole male Kardashian to organically introduce their own series (which, we’ll assume, is being classified as a “spin-off.”)

“She will begin filming in the near future,” a source told the site.

However, Chyna won’t be assigned any storylines that would make her an integral part of the series.

“Kris will carefully control Chyna’s participation,” the source added.

“She can’t just do or say whatever she wants.”

Well, she has her own series now, so apparently she can.

Josh Duggar: Trying to Land His Own Reality Show?!

Following a pair of sex scandals that destroyed his wholesome family’s reputation and a full six months in rehab for sex addiction, Josh Duggar is slowly weaseling his way back into the public eye. 

After a year in hiding, Josh has been spotted on family outings several times in the past two weeks (much to the chagrin of families who probably weren’t planning to play mini-golf alongside a known sex offender).

Duggar is back to work on his family’s used car lot, and insiders say he happily interacts with customers on a regular basis. 

But Josh went from reality star to high-powered Washington lobbyist while still in his early 20s, and tuning up 2007 Honda Civics is probably not what he saw himself doing at this stage in his life.

So it’s not surprising that Josh is reportedly planning to rebuild his image.

However, something tells us that getting back in the public’s good graces won’t be nearly as easy as he thinks.

“Josh is determined to fix his image so he can make a comeback,” a source close to the family tells Us Weekly.

“He’ll stop at nothing to get back in front of the cameras again, especially because he’s broke and has no prospect of work.

“Getting another reality show is the only way he can think of to make real money.”

Josh has been a public figure for long enough to know that any post-scandal comeback starts with an apology tour, and he’s already making plans to sob his way through a contrite interview or two:

“Josh is having Anna reach out to people like Dr. Phil and Megyn Kelly so he can have his mea culpa moment,” the source claims.

“If that goes well and people are sympathetic towards him, he is sure he can convince TLC to give him and Anna a spin-off – something to do with healing their marriage within the Christian faith.”

Like we said, we think the road from pariah-perv to beloved reality star will be much rockier than Josh thinks, but we’re sure looking forward to watching him try!

Brandi Glanville and Dean Sheremet Land New Cooking Show! Together!

While LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian continue to beg for work, their ex-spouses are actually doing quite well for themselves.

Brandi Glanville found life after marriage to Cibrian to be quite lucrative; she’s enjoyed success as a reality star on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, will soon appear on E!‘s upcoming series, Famously Single, has her own podcast, line of wines and book deals.

Meanwhile, Rimes and Cibrian can’t rub two pennies together, BUT AT LEAST THEY HAVE THEIR LOVE TO KEEP THEM WARM.

TMZ reports that Glanville and Sheremet have signed on for My Kitchen Rules, a reality cooking show based on one that has enjoyed success in Australia.

The show will pit teams of two against one another to see who can throw the best dinner event.  

Lance Bass, Andrew Dice Clay, Naomi Judd, and siblings Ray J and Brandy have already signed on, according to the site.

Yesterday, Glanville posted a photo to Twitter with Sheremet, more or less confirming that a cooking show is indeed happening.

“Let the games begin 💗 @Deansheremet -Don’t let me to close to the knives,” Glanville tweeted.

Sheremet is a chef and health and fitness coach, having attended the French Culinary Institute.

Last year, Sheremet told blogger Natalie Thomas what it was like meeting Cibrian on the set of Lifetime’s Northern Lights, before he discovered that Rimes and the actor were having an affair.

“He was a good looking guy. I just remember being like, ‘Oh, God, just another one of those Hollywood pretty boys,"” Sheremet recalled.

“If you’re in a room with him, he’s probably one of the most charming people you’ll ever meet. But I wouldn’t trust him as far as I could throw this f—ing table…

“He just felt like one of those guys from the beginning. A total schmoozer. Very Hollywood.

“I never bought his schtick. But I wasn’t worried.”

All’s well that ends well, though.  Rimes and Cibrian are jonesin’ for work, while Sheremet and Glanville are making out like bandits.

Jenelle Evans: Arrest Video to Land Her Behind Bars?

Back in August, Jenelle Evans was arrested after allegedly assaulting Nathan Griffith’s new girlfriend, Jessica Henry.

Obviously, getting into trouble with the law is nothing new in Jenelle’s world, but this time, the Teen Mom trainwreck may find herself in serious trouble, as a video of her arrest that surfaced this week could convince a jury that she deserves to be behind bars.

According to Radar Online, the footage shows Jenelle being taken into custody after she reportedly threw a glass Mason jar at Henry’s head.

While the violent incident itself wasn’t captured on camera, the aftermath captured by the arresting officers’ dash cam could be enough to put Jenelle away.

Not only is Evans shown being belligerent with officers, she provides a version of events that simply doesn’t add up.

According to the police report:

“[Jenelle] stated that she walked outside and the victim got out of the truck. The arrestee claimed that she was in fear, so she threw water at the victim and the jar slipped from her hand. The arrestee stated that the victim caught the jar and threw it back at the arrestee, striking her back and then broke.”

One of the officers observed that Jenelle’s version of the story didn’t jibe with the physical evidence of the scene, and she did not appear to have been defending herself, as she claimed:

“This would have made the broken glass somewhere farther in the driveway,” wrote the officer. “I looked and did not observe any redness or any other injury to the arrestee’s back.”

Jenelle and Nathan’s breakup has been a tempestuous one, and the law has been involved on more than one occasion.

Griffith was arrested for stealing Jenelle’s car last month after claiming that he hoped to acquire items for the couple’s son, Kaiser, that she was storing in the trunk.

Say what you will about Kylie and Kendall Jenner  – there’s no denying that for better or worse, the youngest Kardashian-Jenner siblings have had a tremendous amount of impact on an entire generation of young people.

So it’s not surprising that for the second year in a row, Kylie and Kendall have landed on Time’s list of the most influential teens, alongside such social media nobodies as Malala Yousafzai and Malia Obama, who, like, totally don’t even have Instagram pages.

“Everything I do, I always start these huge trends,” Kylie told Time. “I just want to inspire my fans to be whoever they want to be, because that’s what I’ve always done.”

It helps if whoever you want to be is someone with gigantic lips. That’s an easy ideal to achieve to when you’ve got Kylie’s cash.

In their profile of Kylie’s older sis, the magazine talked about how Kendall has the most-liked pic on Instagram, with an astonishing 3.1 million people tapping the heart on a single photo.

We’re not sure how that makes her influential exactly, but you know how obsessed teens are with popularity.

It remains to be seen what sort of lasting impact Kylie and Kendall will have on our culture or what they’ll do with their tremendous influence, but if the alarming success of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign has taught us anything, it’s that it no longer matters what you say, so long as a large enough audience likes to hear you say it.
