Luann de Lesseps Defends Herself Against Blackface Backlash

Luann de Lesseps has walked smack dab into yet another scandal.

But we guess the reality star should be grateful that she didn’t stumble into it drunkenly.

About three months after de Lesseps got arrested in Florida for some very wasted behavior, the veteran Bravo personality has once again found herself the subject of backlash.

On Wednesday night’s Real Housewives of New York City premiere, Luann attended a Halloween party dressed like legendary singer Diana Ross.

(Yes, the episode was filmed way back in October.)

It was a unique costume, that’s for sure, but it didn’t take long for folks on the Internet to find a pretty big problem with it:

de Lesseps is white. Ross is black.

The former rocked a revealing dress and a giant afro wig for the occasion, and also clearly darkened her skin in some way.

And it was this latter move that has sparked an outcry of “BLACKFACE!” from many viewers and social media users.

(Blackface was a popular form of theatrical make-up used predominantly by non-black performers in the 19th century and early 20th century; it contributed, both then and now, to the spread of various racial stereotypes.)

Aware of the chatter surrounding her ensemble, Luann explained to Entertainment Tonight that she didn’t actually paint her face black.

“I had makeup on, but not anything that would make me look — I had like, tanning cream on,” she told Nischelle Turner, adding that she doesn’t agree with the criticism that has come her way as a result of the costume.

However, “I get it,” she notes.

de Lesseps first heard from critics of this look back in November when she shared the above photo on Instagram.

But the issue has now come back up due to the aforementioned Season 10 premiere.

Appearing after the episode aired on Watch What Happens Live, Luann said she “horrified,” by the negative reaction, adding:

“I never meant to hurt anybody’s feelings. I love Diana Ross and I totally respect Diana Ross. It was really kind of a tribute to her, and it was Halloween.”

At some point, perhaps, celebrity will realize that dressing up as other celebrities isn’t really a tribute of any kind.

Kourtney Kardashian learned this lesson the hard way back when she dressed up like Michael Jackson for Halloween.

“I had bronzer on that I wear normally like the rest of my skin. I’m tan, like right now,” de Lesseps also told Andy Cohen on air, prior to apologizing for real:

“I didn’t add anything to or would ever, ever, ever dream of doing a blackface, ever. I’m very sorry to everyone out there if I offended anyone.”

And just to drive her point home, Luanna added the following on Twitter:

“I would like to clear the air, I love and respect Diana Ross, this was my tribute to her I was showing my sincere admiration.

“I in no way altered my skin color and I did not mean to offend anyone.”

We believe her.

We aren’t all that mad anymore.

But it’s a pretty simple lesson for all to heed in the end:

If you are white, do not dress up for Halloween like a black person. Case closed. It isn’t that complicated.

Luann de Lesseps: Already Filming for RHONY in Case She Goes to Prison!

Within less than a year’s time, Luann de Lesseps got married, got divorced, and got arrested on multiple felonies.

For a person, that’s disastrous. But for a reality star? That’s amazing fodder for television.

And producers are reportedly so enthused about Luann’s upcoming court drama that they’re pulling out all of the stops to capture her story … before she potentially spends time behind bars.

Because 2017 wasn’t surreal enough, Real Housewives of New York star Luann de Lesseps got arrested for kicking a police officer.

In Florida, of course.

Apparently, she went to the wrong hotel room and refused to leave it. When police were called, she locked herself in the bathroom … and went so far as to slam a door on a police officer’s face.

Here’s some advice, folks: don’t do that. 

Luann checked herself into rehab for alcohol, a great way to either work on getting better or at least make it appear that she’s addressing her behavior.

But she’s due in court later this month, after being charged with four felonies.

Now, Luann tweeted out her apologies, sounding mortified, revealing that being in Palm Beach had brought up some powerful negative emotions.

Hey, we get that. It’s not an excuse, per say, but you don’t need old marriage drama for Florida to have that effect on you. Just saying.

Honestly, the wildest part of that whole situation is the details of Luann’s arrest.

Not the violence or the threats of violence — that’s, you know, not actually funny. But the fact that she slipped her handcuffs.

Either some PR-conscious officer cuffed her a little too gently, or Luann is a serious escape artist. Dang.

Some feared that Luann de Lesseps’ arrest might get her fired from The Real Housewives of New York.

If you were one of those worried, you can probably rest easy.

All reality television is essentially the TV version of a messy b–ch who lives for drama. The wilder that someone’s real-life highs and lows are, the better television they’l make.

Besides, Luann’s arrest isn’t exactly secret, which makes it free publicity for the show.

There is such a thing as bad publicity, don’t get us wrong, but this wasn’t it.

RadarOnline reports that producers are already working to make sure that Luann’s storyline is captured on film.

“Bravo is NOT filming at the moment but producer have reached out to her and asked that she document what’s going on in her life.”

Does that mean that she’s filming, like, confessional segments on her phone or a webcam? We’re not sure. No matter what the camera quality, though, it’s bound to be interesting.

“They need as much home footage as possible to edit Luann and her troubles into the show.”

That makes a lot of sense.

That same source goes on to assure us all that Luann’s status as a Real Housewife is safe.

“If anything, this incident has secured her job.”

Though it has, to be clear, endangered her actual real life.

“The producers love nothing better than real life drama and with the exception of wedding and divorces, nothing is better on reality TV than a court hearing that could result in jail.”

Luann might be worried about her future — with four felony charges, that’s justified. But producers feel differently:

“They are giddy with excitement about what will happen to Luann.”

Well, that’s show business.

Luann de Lesseps to Be Fired from The Real Housewives Due to Arrest?

Following some rather inexcusable, embarrassing and illegal behavior, Luann de Lesseps is in major trouble with the law.

But this is the question on the minds of fans around the country:

Is she also in trouble with Bravo executives?

Over this past holiday weekend, de Lesseps was arrested on five charges, four of which are felonies.

During a very drunken escapade, the reality star allegedly attacked a police officer, resisted arrest and threatened to kill everyone around her.

The incident took place in Palm Beach.

According to legal documents, Luann and an ex-lover broke into a room at the Colony Hotel.

After a security guard demanded she leave, de Lesseps locked herself in the bathroom.

Police were then called to the scene and de Lesseps supposedly shoved one of them after exiting said bathroom, prior to breaking free from her handcuffs and screaming:

I’m going to f-cking kill you!

Details of the arrest really are pretty insane.

The four felonies with which Luann has been charged are:

• Battery on a law enforcement officer.


• Resisting arrest with violence.


• Two counts of corruption by threat.

She’s due in court for a hearing on January 25.

It’s certainly fair to wonder how this arrest will impact Luann’s future on The Real Housewives of New York City.

She’s been a regular cast member since 2008 and it’s nearly impossible to imagine the show without her.

Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on your viewpoint), it doesn’t sound as though you’ll need to do so.

“It won’t [jeopardize her position on the show],” an insider tells Page Six of the arrest, explaining simply:

“Reality loves reality.”

There’s certainly evidence to back this up.

In 2014, Porsha Williams was arrested for speeding and driving with a suspended license. She remains on The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

In 2015, Teresa Giudice went to prison on fraud charges in 2015. She remains on The Real Housewives of New Jersey… and even got a raise upon her release!

Luann, meanwhile, married Tom D’Agostino in Palm Beach on December 31, 2016.

They got divorced just seven months later and she cited the trauma from this split as the basis for her actions over the weekend.

“I want to offer my most sincere apologies to anyone that I might have offended with my behavior,” Tweeted de Lesseps after her arrest, adding:

“This was my first time in Palm Beach since my wedding and being here brought up buried emotions.”

That’s for sure.

Luann de Lesseps Arrest: Crazy New Details Emerge!

We have a follow up on last week’s arrest of Luann de Lesseps.

And it’s pretty darn wild!

As previously reported, The Real Housewives of New York City cast member was taken into custody by police after she allegedly flipped out on them while drunk.

The reality star was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer; resisting arrest with violence; and two counts of corruption by threat at the time.

She’s in pretty big trouble with the law.

And we can understand why, considering the details that leaked online yesterday with the release of an official police report.

According to this document, De Lesseps and an unidentified male entered Room 407 at the Colony hotel in Palm Beach while a maid was completing turn-down service late Saturday night.

They were registered guests at the hotel, but were assigned to Room 327.

A security guard went to the room found the twosome in bed, telling de Lesseps that she had to leave.

But she wasn’t feeling it.

Following “multiple attempts to get both subjects to leave over a five minute period,” the guard called for assistance, which prompted a pair of cops to arrive around 9:20 p.m.

Once there, they found de Lesseps and her longtime friend, Julie Olson, in the room.

Both women “appeared to be highly intoxicated,” but at least Olson heeded orders to get the heck out.

Conversely, de Lesseps locked herself in the bathroom and refused to come out, the report outlines.

At last, the Bravo star opened the door (only after the guard started using a key on the lock, that is) – and then allegedly pushed one of the cops in the chest with her palm, prior to slamming the door on his face, “striking him in the forehead.”

Yikes, right?!?

So not cool at all.

After being handcuffed and placed in the back of a police cruiser, de Lesseps actually slipped out of the shackles and attempted to escape, yelling, “I’m going to f-cking kill you” as the cops subdued once more.

We’ll say it again, this time with even more emphasis:

YIKES.

de Lesseps kept claiming that she was “going to f-cking kill all of you” to both policemen as she was brought back to the Palm Beach police station and thrown into a holding cell, the report says. 

She was then released without bail on Sunday morning and ordered to appear in court next month.

LuAnn married Tom D’Agostino Jr. on December 31, 2016 in Palm Beach, only to get divorced a few months later.

In a Tweeted apology, she cited this marriage and break-up as the basis for her breakdown.

“I want to offer my most sincere apologies to anyone that I might have offended with my behavior,” she wrote, adding:

“This was my first time in Palm Beach since my wedding and being here brought up buried emotions. I am committed to a transformative and hopeful 2018.”

Luann de Lesseps Arrested ... for Kicking a Cop!

For Luann de Lesseps this holiday season, it’s more like the following:

The long-time Real Housewives of New York City cast member was arrested early Sunday morning in Palm Beach, Florida and charged with a number of crimes.

According to TMZ, E! News and other reliable sources, de Lesseps was taken into custody for being drunk and disorderly…

… and also for allegedly assaulting an officer of the law!

YIKES!

Insiders tell TMZ that Luann has been charged with five crimes, four of which are FELONIES:

– Battery on a law enforcement officer.

– Resisting arrest with violence.

– Two counts of corruption by threat.

The incident between the reality star and the police took place around 1:25 a.m. local time.

An assistant state’s attorney tells The Palm Beach Post that de Lesseps reportedly slammed a door and kicked at least one police officer, telling people around her:

“I’m going to kill you all.”

She was then placed under arrest.

After being taken to Palm Beach County Jail, the Bravo personality was released without bond.

It remains unclear what prompted the altercation; aside from an abundance of alcohol, that is.

The aforementioned publication also writes that during her court appearance today, Judge Ted Booras suggested she hire a defense attorney due to the serious nature of these charges.

“Don’t say anything,” he told the former countess, according to the newspaper.

The arrest took place nearly a year after the Bravo star married Tom D’Agostino Jr. in Palm Beach on New Year’s Eve.

They announced their divorce a mere seven months later amid rumors of D’Agostino’s infidelity.

For those unaware, Luann has a “Countess” title because she was married to Count Alexandre de Lesseps until their divorce in 2009.

She is due back in court on January 25.

Known as a singer, actress, model and author, Luann de Lesseps debuted on The Real Housewives of New York City in 2008./

She has been a regular ever since.

No word from anyone in her camp or anyone else associated with the series in the wake of this arrest. Not yet anyway.

Tom D"Agostino: Already Dating After Split from Luann de Lesseps!

Luann de Lesseps and Tom D’Agostino are divorcing. Officially. After their short, short marriage, they’re not trying a trial separation but just ripping off the bandaid.

It’s such a sorry situation for Luann that even Bethenny Frankel feels sorry for her. And Bethenny Frankel isn’t exactly what you’d call a bleeding heart.

Apparently, things aren’t so hard on Tom D’Agostino. And, to absolutely no one’s surprise, Tom is reportedly already back to dating.

Hey, so, remember when Tom D’Agostino spoke to Us Weekly and told them that he and Luann had a lot of love between them and had no plans to split?

Well … we don’t want to be mean and say womp womp, but that sure didn’t last.

As it turns out, cheating on your fiance right before your engagement party doesn’t usually spell success for your marriage.

Basically everyone had warned Luann, but if she was a fool to marry Tom, then she was a fool who wanted to believe that love could conquer all obstacles and overcome any issues in their relationship.

There are worse dumb things to believe.

Overall, it seemed, Tom D’Agostino just had a wandering eye, and wandering other parts, and wasn’t going to let a little thing like marriage to a beautiful celebrity like Luann hold him back.

(It sounds like he might have some impulse-control issues, with a severe case of basically being immune to consequences and the entitlement that comes with that)

So, given that he was reportedly getting around during his engagement and marriage to Luann, it’s not really a shock to hear that he’s already back to dating openly.

Us Weekly reports that Tom D’Agostino is 

“Tom has been seeing a few of the women in his life, including Missy, but hasn’t rebounded with anyone in particular yet.”

That’s a reference to his ex-girlfriend, Missy Tool.

Us Weekly says that another source insists that Missy and Tom are “just friends.”

Overall, though, that sounds pretty consistent with Tom, though we’d point out that seeing a bunch of different women is fine … when you’re single.

As he is no0w.

The first source has more to add.

“He didn’t want to do any interviews until he sees Luann’s sit-down with Andy to see if she bad-mouths him. Tom is really trying to take the high road with the divorce.”

Tom and Luann filed jointly for divorce, so it makes sense for them to try to be amicable.

There was a rumor floating around towards the end of their marriage …

(Though the eight-month marriage was so brief that any part of it could also be said to be “right at the beginning”)

… That Luann had struck Tom, slapping him in a restaurant. That sounded a lot like domestic violence.

When asked about it, Luann had stated that she had grabbed his face during their conversation. That’s not okay either, but a lot less alarming.

Tom’s rumored cheating plagued their relationship almost from the beginning, to the point where it became a storyline on The Real Housewives of New York City.

Tom is said to have grown tired of his newfound spotlight and celebrity status that came with marrying a Real Housewife, though … many imagine that the true impetus behind the divorce was the cheating.

We wonder if Tom has ever considered that he should be in an open relationship?

If he wants the affection and stability of a committed partner but also wants to be free to hook up with different women, that’s totally possible.

Polyamorous relationships can take a lot of forms, and the simplest of them is a couple that’s in an open relationship where both partners love and support each other but also know that they don’t need to sneak around if they hook up with a coworker or friend or a stranger in a bar.

Of course, for some people, it’s not that they just don’t like exclusivity — there are people who get a thrill from cheating and prefer things that way. That is something very different.

Honestly, we just want Luann and Tom to be able to move on and live their best lives.

And not repeat past mistakes.

Bethenny Frankel: I Feel Really Badly for Luann de Lesseps!

Now that we’ve had a few hours to process the news that LuAnn de Lesseps and Tom D’Agostino are finally over, we can circle back to Bethenny Frankel’s appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on Tuesday night. 

If you watch The Real Housewives of New York City online, you will know that Bethenny has made it her mission in the past to drive a wedge between the couple, and part of that was down to the multitude of cheating allegations that surrounded the relationship. 

It became an obsession for Bethenny to bring the relationship to a close before it was too late for Luann. Bethenny knows all about toxic relationships, so it seemed like she was trying to save Luann from embarrassment. 

Bethenny’s chat with Andy came just one day before the big divorce announcement that shocked nobody. The topic of conversation was whether De Lesseps physically assaulted D’Agostino. 

The alleged altercation took place at a restaurant in New York in July, but we have no idea whether the incident did occur and if so, what caused it. 

“Didn’t she say that it was a love tap or something? Yeah, that’s what I heard,” the reality TV personality and entrepreneur said, defending her longtime pal. 

“I really feel badly for her because she’s living this totally out loud and I think, ‘you know, it’s personal.’ They got married, and I decided to stay out of it after that.”

Frankel then confirmed that after telling Luann of Tom’s infidelity on the Bravo show last season, that was her time to leave the situation in the past. 

“I decided once I had Miami [and] that happened about Tom, when she decided that she was marrying him, I’m out.”

We won’t be surprised if Bethenny is secretly parading around New York chanting that she was right because everyone loves to be right. 

It was definitely a good move for her friendship with Luann. They have been mostly united this season on the series, and it’s been rather refreshing. 

Despite Luann quashing the rumors that she hit her husband, people continued to question the state of the relationship. 

Rumors of unrest in the home were confirmed yesterday when Luann hit up Twitter to confirm the news that her marriage was coming to a close after just seven months. 

“It’s with great sadness that Tom & I agreed to divorce,” she tweeted.

“We care for each other very much, hope you respect our privacy during this sad time!”  

Dorinda Medley chimed in with some words of wisdom to US Weekly in the aftermath of the divorce announcement. 

“It’s always a sad thing when a marriage doesn’t work, and I hope everyone respects their privacy during this sad time,” she told Us Weekly. 

“I wish them both the best.”

Luann de Lesseps and Tom D"Agostino: Divorcing!

No longer a countess, and soon, no longer even married.

Luann de Lesseps has finally taken the advice of many of her friends and fellow Real Housewives and is ending her marriage to Tom D’Agostino.

This isn’t a rumor — it’s official.

Hey, so remember when Luann de Lesseps and Tom D’Agostino definitely probably weren’t splitting up?

We can’t say that we’re surprised that they couldn’t cling to their denials.

Their relationship sounded toxic on a number of levels.

Page Six reports that Luann de Lesseps and Tom D’Agostino have filed jointly for divorce after eight years of marriage.

They filed for divorce today, folks.

The filing took place in Sag Harbor, Long Island. 

Luann confirmed the divorce on Twitter just a few hours ago:

“It’s with great sadness that Tom & I agreed to divorce. We care for each other very much, hope you respect our privacy during this sad time!”

We’re instantly reminded of Luann getting earnest advice and basically refusing to listen.

Remember when Bethenny Frankel talked about how Jason Hoppy was still tormenting her?

She described her situation as being in hell.

(Considering how recently Jason Hoppy was arraigned on new stalking charges against her, that barely sounds like an exaggeration)

If you’ll recall, Bethenny was bringing up her situation to try to convey to Luann that just following her heart or her bliss is fine and well for Disney princesses but doesn’t work out so well in real life.

Tom D’Agostino was accused again and again of cheating on Luann, pretty much throughout their relationship.

Married life hasn’t settled things down, and the two have apparently been constantly having trouble getting along.

Again, the two of them have only been married for eight months.

Eight.

Cheating during a relationship happens more than most people would care to believe.

But Bethenny Frankel showed Luann photos of Tom kissing an ex of his right before his and Luann’s engagement party.

That’s a bit rarer.

(Luann, at the time, dismissed it as a “mistake” rather than a premeditated affair … oh honey)

Cheating allegations against Tom D’Agostino formed half of the recent storylines on The Real Housewives of New York, it’s seemed.

As is so often the case, what’s good for reality television drama is not good at all for a marriage.

Curiously, though, it sounds like Tom D’Agostino had his own reasons for agreeing to this divorce.

Tom is 50.

While he’s apparently not too old to be running around the city like a horndog who can’t keep his pants on (allegedly), he apparently wasn’t down for what life with Luann meant.

That is — fame.

Specifically, the “lifestyle” of being a reality television personality.

“He used to live this really nice life in the city,” Page Six was told by a source.

“He’s a private person and all of a sudden he was living this crazy celebrity life.”

Tom’s alleged reasoning even refers to Luann’s former career as a nurse.

“He loved the nurse from Connecticut, not the reality TV star.”

That’s kind of interesting, considering that Tom D’Agonstino had reportedly dated two other women from The Real Housewives of New York City prior to dating and marrying Luann.

It sounds like either there are only a couple dozen rich women in New York, which we somehow doubt, or Tom D’Agostino was courting fame.

And bit off more than he could chew.

It’s also possible that Tom is just using this as an excuse, as if the divorce were his idea, rather than a result of his alleged impulsive and hurtful cheating.

Luann de Lesseps and Tom D"Agostino: We Are NOT Splitting Up! ... Probably

With questions about Luann’s relationship with Tom D’Agostino being one of the storylines on The Real Housewives of New York City, it’s no surprise that people have questioned the integrity of their marriage.

Also, we keep hearing story after story about Tom cheating on Luann. … 

But after the two recently quarreled in public while dining at a restaurant, they knew that they had to speak out and tell fans what’s really going on.

Luann de Lesseps is no longer a countess after her divorce from Count Alexandre de Lesseps.

But she will always be Countless Luann in our hearts, you know?

She and Tom D’Agostino Jr got married last December.

Honestly, it’s usually not a great sign of people are arguing a lot or even just rumored to be arguing a lot less than a year into their marriage.

There have even been reports that the two have been splitting up and then reconciling over and over.

That would be worrisome anyway — this is a marriage, not a high school relationship.

But they’re supposed to be in their honeymoon phase, right?

That sounds super unhealthy.

But Tom D’Agostino says that he and Luann de Lesseps haven’t split up, as he tells Us Weekly.

“There is a lot of love here.”

That’s very clear, though sometimes love alone just isn’t enough.

“We want it to succeed.”

His statement’s pretty succinct, but we guess that he felt that it was enough without trying to speak over Luann.

(Maybe we’re giving him too much credit, but that shows promise for their relationship)

You’d think that if love were such a priority, he’d manage to resist his impulses to cheat, but … that’s their business, we guess.

Most people who are romantically inclined agree that love is worth fighting for.

That’s apparently not just the sort of thing that happens in fairytales and action movies.

But in real life, fighting for love usually means working out your differences with the person you love.

That’s a lot more complicated than, like, slaying a dragon or whatever.

As for their argument at the restaurant, Us says that it’s not even that big of a deal — the two don’t fight like that a lot, but it did happen to happen in public.

You know, some couples argue more than others.

Some people get into angry feuds with their friends for a few days and then they reunite and it’s all good.

Other people never, ever get into fights or arguments with friends because the first incident of that would end the friendship.

Relationships, and marriages, can be just as varied along that spectrum.

Of course, abuse in any relationship would be unacceptable.

And even arguments that don’t involve abuse could imply a deeply toxic, unhealthy relationship.

It’s possible that Luann and Tom are just working through some things early on and that they’ll find their rhythm and have a perfect relationship from here on out.

It’s also possible that Luann and Tom, if they’re really struggling so much with each other, just shouldn’t be together.

(Again, if Tom is constantly cheating, that’s more than just a red flag)

Fighting can turn into resentment, and resentment can build and fester.

And often, you can end up with hateful exes.

Just look at Jason Hoppy’s latest stalking charges and you’ll see how toxic exes can be.

Only time will tell whether Luann and Tom’s problems are “my roommate’s a morning person and I’m not” problems or “my roommate smokes in the house and also keeps selling my belongings so they can buy meth” problems.

One of those can be addressed as you learn to live with each other.

The other means that you need to separate immediately.

But you know, we really do wish Luann the best.

The best with Tom (one way or the other), the best with making peace between Bethenny and Ramona (good luck), and the best in life.

And, hey, if Luann and Tom work out whatever underlying issues they’re having this early on, maybe they can look forward to spending the rest of their lives without feeling quarrelsome.

LuAnn De Lesseps: Wedding Ruined By Jill Zarin?!?

Did anyone seriously that LuAnn De Lesseps could get married without there being a whole lot of drama?

The Real Housewives of New York City star has proven many times that the drama just seems to follow her wherever she goes. 

That’s not entirely a bad thing if you have the camera crews following you to try and get some juicy footage for the latest season of your reality show. 

However, there’s word that the only camera crew in sight during LuAnn’s marriage to Tom D’Agostino was from none other than People Magazine. 

LuAnn allegedly decided to tell RHONY execs that she wanted her wedding to be kept private in order to have the magazine cover the wedding for a $ 20,000 fee. 

If you keep up to speed with the likes of Jill Zarin on Instagram, you were probably wondering why she was acting like she was the only eyes into the exclusive event. 

That’s because there’s now word that former RHONY star Zarin sabotaged LuAnn and Tom’s big pay check by giving too much away on social media.

Yes, that’s a lofty sum for some wedding pictures, but the magazine are not willing to shell out the dough because Jill’s Instagram spoiled the goodies.

If this turns out to be true, LuAnn and Tom will not be impressed. How could you realistically forgive someone who lost you $ 20,000?

That’s far from the only controversy surrounding the nuptials. 

On the gift side of things, there is word that the pair initially requested that guests donated to one of two charities as opposed to bringing gifts. 

That’s a nice gesture, but not when you change things up at the last minute. 

The pair allegedly set up a GoFundMe page for a relative to help them pay their medical expenses, but there was no indication about who the mystery person was. 

The pair asked that people donate to the the page instead of donating to the charities. 

“You’re going to spend a half-million-plus on a wedding, and then ask your friends to cough up for your relative’s Band-Aids?,” sniped one.

“LuAnn and Tom are both very rich — [they should] write a check to their relative and not hustle their wedding guests for cash.”

LuAnn De Lesseps & Tom D"Agostino: Married!

LuAnn de Lesseps and Tom D’Agostino actually managed to make it down the aisle in a lavish ceremony in Palm Beach, Florida. 

The nuptials took place on New Year’s Eve.

If you watch The Real Housewives of New York City online, you’re probably sitting there wondering what the hell LuAnn was thinking by going ahead with the wedding. 

If you recall, Tom was the man who seemed to be getting a little too close to some of LuAnn’s co-stars on the Bravo reality series.

It resulted in Bethenny Frankel lifting the lid on all of the bad things to LuAnn. 

Unfortunately, LuAnn chose to jump to Tom’s defense and it kind of set the tone for some boring episodes of the series.

LuAnn did not seem to give a damn that the man she was about to spend her life with was stepping out on her.

It’s hard to imagine there being a happy ending if Tom was looking at other women this early into the relationship. 

We all know that Frankel loves being a troublemaker, but it sucks when no one takes your claims seriously. 

LuAnn was accompanied on the big day from the likes of Dorinda Medley, Kelly Bensimon, Jill Zarin, Cynthia Bailey and Marysol Patton.

It was pretty clear from the get-go that not all of LuAnn’s co-stars would make the cut to be invited. 

Maybe LuAnna just wanted a drama-free day and probably knew that Bethenny would have shouted out a list of objections during the ceremony. 

Countess LuAnn dazzled in a beautiful white dress. This marks her second wedding. 

It’s unclear at this stage whether RHONY was filming throughout the wedding. 

Fans love to see some televised weddings, but LuAnn and Tom might have wanted to keep this event on the down low. 

Not everything should be broadcast on TV. Right?

LuAnn De Lesseps Attends Bachelorette Party In Miami: See the Pics!

LuAnn De Lesseps is getting married to Tom D’Agostino. 

Gulp. 

Yes, it appears that LuAnn did not get enough red flags from her fiancè on The Real Housewives of New York City this past season and is now pressing on with her union to him. 

This weekend, LuAnn took to Miami with her gal pals, Jill Zarin, Adriana De Moura, Alex Echevarria and Marysol Patton. 

As you probably expected, Bethenny Frankel was nowhere in sight during the partying. 

If you watch The Real Housewives of New York City online, you’ll know that Bethenny went all-out in her quest to prove that Tom was a snake that was trying his luck with all of the ladies on the show.

Heck, even some of the other women admitted to LuAnn that they had been talking to him, but LuAnn still seems content with continuing her relationship with him. 

He must be bringing a lot to the table if she’s letting him away with trying to get jiggy with her pals. 

All of the ladies who hit a Coya restaurant in Miami with LuAnn kept fans updated via social media about how the night was going.

Marysol was the one who hosted the event and we’re kind of getting the feeling that she’ll be asked to host many more nights for the reality TV friends.

It’s surprising there were no reality TV cameras around to film a special for Bravo, but maybe LuAnn wanted to keep it a low affair. 

It would have been a perfect opportunity to give viewers an update on the now defunct The Real Housewives of Miami. 

Say what you want about that iteration of the show, but it did have some good moments.
