The Mummy Trailer: Mission Impossible Goes Supernatural!

Mission: Impossible is about to head to Egypt.

Sort of.

Universal has released the first official trailer for The Mummy, a follow-up to the four-film franchise that starred Brendan Fraser between 1999 and 2008.

And while many are wondering what the heck Cruise is doing resurrecting this mostly-ridiculed set of movies, one look at the following trailer reveals the answer:

The Mummy is basically Mission: Impossible, just set in the world of the supernatural.

This preview opens with the sort of action sequence Cruise fans have come to expect and love from his blockbusters, while all associated with the movie have gone to great lengths to emphasize that it really is NOT related to those Brendan Fraser films at all.

In this case, an ancient princess (played by Sofia Boutella) is awakened from her crypt beneath the desert, brings with her extreme malevolence and serious terrors that endanger all modern-day people.

GULP.

Russell Crowe somehow also stars in the movie, along with Courtney B. Vance, Annabelle Wallis, and Jake Johnson. That"s a pretty solid cast.

And Alex Kurtzman (Star Trek Into Darkness and Transformers) is directing!

Look for Gods and monsters to make appearances on Earth, along with Cruise’s character traveling to different parts of the world; such as London, Egypt and Middle East.

The Mummy comes out on June 9, 2017.

Jill and Derick Dillard Return to U.S. From Mission Trip; Are They Back For Good?

Jill and Derick Dillard, along with their young son Israel, are back in the good old U.S.A. after a 10-month mission trip to Central America.

The trio returned to the Natural State this weekend.

Above, you can see an Instagram photo of their reunion, as they Dillards were greeted at Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport.

Derick’s brother, the newly engaged Dan Dillard, and his fiancee Deena were among those on hand to celebrate their return.

Derick and Jill had never met Deena before. Crazy!

While Derick’s man bun was nowhere to be seen in Dan’s Instagram photo, there was no hiding the family’s smiles on this occasion.

“Finally got to introduce my fiancée to the rest of the family! Good to have them back in the states for awhile,” Dan posted on his page.

“#WelcomeHome #TiredNephew”

Jill responded in the comments: “Aw! We are so glad to be back! Thanks for waiting for our flight to arrive. Loved getting to see y’all!”

In a second photo of Jill, Derick, Dan and Deena, little Israel is swapped out for six-year-old Josie, the youngest of the 19 Kids & Counting.

Here’s Josie with sister Jana, the oldest Duggar daughter at 26 (she and her twin John David were born two years after Josh Duggar).

Sisters, born two decades apart!

Back to Derick and Jill Dillard: TLC film crew members on hand to capture the moment, so you can guarantee to see it on TV shortly.

When you watch Jill and Jessa: Counting On online, expect a heavy dose of these two (and Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo courting).

Their return to the U.S. from their mission trip wasn’t just good news for the couple, it was music to the ears of two very special grandmothers:

“These grandmas are happy to have Israel home for a little while!” Jill wrote of the below image of Michelle Duggar with Derick’s mother.

“And he is spoiled to have family nearby again.”

Are they back in the Land of the Free for good, though?

According to The Duggar Family Fan Blog, Jill and Derick Dillard will be heading out again in the fall, presumably on another mission trip.

While it’s not entirely clear what their missions consist of, and they’ve been no strangers to controversy, this is not altogether surprising.

Derick left his job at Walmart (as a tax accountant) to pursue his ministry and missionary work full time, and Jill enthusiastically joined.

As for what they’ll be doing for now in Arkansas?

“During their time at home,” the site says, they won’t miss a beat, as “Jill and Derick Dillard will work remotely with their ministry organization.”

In addition to this, the married couple of two years will “partner with local ministries, and expand their knowledge through Bible classes.”

And get slammed for controversial parenting photos every time they update Instagram, and face questions about Derick Dillard’s health.

So really, it’ll be like they never left …

Jill and Derick Dillard: Pretending They"re Still on Mission Trip?

Jill Duggar and husband Derick Dillard haven’t posted an update on their oft-discussed mission trip to El Salvador since late December.

That’s led many Duggar observers – already concerned about the couple’s health – to speculate on the whereabouts of the Dillard duo.

First, there was Derick’s changing appearance that sent fans into a frenzy, followed by a controversial photo of an injured Israel Dillard.

Then, there was talk of the Zika virus driving Jill to birth control, and most recently, reports that she and Derick returned to Arkansas.

The Duggars don’t believe in birth control, which put Jill in an interesting position, as the virus has been linked to significant birth defects.

So dangerous is the Zika virus that El Salvador has reportedly recommended that women refrain from getting pregnant until 2018 or later.

No wonder, then, that Jill returned to Arkansas to avoid getting infected and/or to get pregnant – or so we believed earlier this week.

Radio host Danni Starr further heightened these suspicions by revealing that she conducted interviews with various TLC stars last week.

Jill and Jessa Duggar were among those name-checked by Starr, though they were nowhere to be seen in a photo shared on Facebook.

The Duggars pictured were John David, Josiah, and Joseph, while Jessa Duggar’s husband, Ben Seewald, also took part in the interview.

It’s possible, clearly, that Danni meant she was interviewing a few of the stars of Jill & Jessa: Counting On, not Jill and Jessa themselves.

All evidence of the Duggar interview has since been wiped from her Facebook page, though, which has just made fans more suspicious.

Now, Jill has shared a new photo … one apparently designed to make fans believe that she and Derick haven’t left El Salvador after all.

“Israel loves making new friends! More pics and an update coming soon to www.dillardfamily.com,” Jill captioned the Instagram photo.

Even though Jill Duggar’s pic was taken in El Salvador, it’s possible that it’s an older one and they are indeed back in Arkansas.

Jill and Derick will likely answer this question and address the Zika virus at some point, too, but their actions continue to befuddle fans.

Jill Duggar & Derick Dillard: Did They Cut Mission Trip Short & Return Home AGAIN?!

Earlier this week, we reported that the mosquito-borne Zika virus is causing major concerns for the Duggar family.

The problem is that Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard are performing missionary work in Central America, where women have been cautioned to avoid getting pregnant until at least 2018 for fear of the effects the virus might have on their children.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Jill has probably been using birth control or abstaining from sex, despite her family’s belief that it’s God’s will for women to have as many babies as possible.

Now, a new blog post on the Duggar family website indicates that Jill and Derick may have left the region and returned home to Arkansas.

The post seems to be the family’s reaction to frequent questions about where Jill and Derick are living at the moment, and one passage in particular has fans thinking that the young couple is back in Tontitown:

“For the time being, Jill and Derick Dillard wish to keep their location confidential, but please keep their little family, as well as others in Central and South America, in your prayers as they serve in regions where Zika is present.”

The family’s apparent interest in keeping Jill and Derick’s location under wraps and the couple’s recent silence on social media have convinced many fans that the Duggars are back in the States.

Jill and Derick cut their mission trip short without telling fans once before, and were forced to return an undisclosed amount in donations as a result.

So it stands to reason that the couple would try to remain low-key if they were forced to return to Arkansas, particularly if they plan on eventually returning to Central America for a third go-round.

Unfortunately, Jill and Derick will still need to exercise caution, as the Zika virus has now been detected in Arkansas.

The CDC has not yet cautioned against women getting pregnant in any part of the US, but between rabid fan interest in her location and the possibility of disease-carrying mosquitos, Jill might have multiple reasons to stay indoors.

Tom Cruise Really Held His Breath For SIX MINUTES In Mission Impossible Stunt! Here Are 20 Other Actors Who Almost Died On Movie Sets!

OK, holding onto a plane as it takes off is dangerous — but this is just impossible!

In Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, Tom Cruise has to dive into an underwater computer database to break into- you know what? It’s complicated.

The point is he has to hold his breath for a LONG time — so the star learned to hold his breath for SIX MINUTES! For real! He revealed in new behind-the-scenes footage:

“Normally in underwater sequences, people hold their breath for 10 seconds, 15 seconds max. So I had to prove to everyone that it was actually safe, and spend time with the safety guys and the safety officers to show them, look, not only is it safe, it’s better that I know how to hold my breath because I’m going to be very relaxed. No one’s going to have to rush in, no one’s going to have to panic.”

That man sure cares about making movies — he’s willing to risk his life!

Of course, he’s not the only movie star who’s gotten into dangerous territory…
