Stephanie Adams: Former Playmate and Young Son Plunge to Their Deaths

According to reports, early Friday morning, a 47-year-old woman and a 7-year-old boy were found dead after an apparent jump from a Manhattan building.

This is a grim story, no matter what transpired before they plummeted to their deaths below.

And now multiple news outlets believe that they have identified the woman as a former Playboy centerfold model.

First, what we know with relative certainty.

According to Lieutenant John Grimpel, a 47-year-old woman appears to have jumped from the 25th floor of the Gotham Hotel in Manhattan.

Police indicate that this occurred at around 8:15 AM on Friday morning.

Reports say that the two bodies were found on the second-floor landing of the Gotham Hotel’s courtyard.

Police were not initially willing to confirm or deny the identities of the deceased, for obvious reasons.

One, identifying them may have been challenging if normal identifiers were not available.

Two, as is always important, police needed to notify the family.

There’s no good way to learn that you have lost a loved one, but learning from the news would have to be one of the worst.

Multiple media outlets, including The New York Post and NBC News 4, are reporting that this woman was Stephanie Adams.

Stephanie Adams was a former Playboy model.

In fact, she was the November centerfold in 1992.

Which would make the 7-year-old boy Vincent, her son.

She shared Vincent with her estranged husband, Charles Nicolai, the owner of of Wall Street Chiropractic & Wellness.

Staff at that practice have declined to comment.

Stephanie Adams Family

Reports say that Stephanie and Nicolai were engaged in a fierce court battle over custody of their son.

Things were allegedly so contentious between them that handovers of Vincent took place at a NYPD precinct, allegedly to “prevent violence” from occurring.

Stephanie filed for divorce from Nicolai in 2017, and she was currently seeking child support from him.

As is often the case during divorces, she owed money to her attorneys.

Adding to this, The New York Post reports that Stephanie had become distraught because she would not be able to take her son on a trip to Europe over the summer.

She and her estranged husband fought over this and, ultimately, a judge sided with Nicolai — and ordered Stephanie to surrender Vincent’s passport.

Stephanie Adams, who claims to be a descendant of John Quincy Adams and who entered the modeling profession at age 16, had a history of both civil rights advocacy and of troubled lawsuits.

But none of this explains what could have led her and her son to plunge to their tragic and premature deaths on Friday morning.

Our sympathies go out to their loved ones as they struggle with this loss.

We hope that investigators are able to provide answers.

Kim Kardashian to Stephanie Shepherd: You"re FIRED!

Kim Kardashian has made a tough decision.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians A-lister has parted ways with friend and longtime assistant Stephanie Shepherd – and it was her call.

The 37-year-old Kim decided it was time to cut ties – professionally – with Shepherd, her friend and assistant since 2013, a source confirms.

“Kim made a decision to let Stephanie go,” the insider says, revealing that the parting of ways came after a failed promotion of sorts.

“She was a good assistant but when Stephanie wanted to transition into a larger role with Kim’s brand and businesses, it just didn’t work.”

“Kim gave her a chance but after a short period of time it became clear that Stephanie just didn’t have the knowledge to take on a role like that.”

“Kim made the executive decision to part ways.”

The source adds that while Shepherd is “still friendly with the other sisters,” the firing clearly stung, as currently “Kim aren’t really speaking.”

Shepherd began her position right before North West was born in June 2013. She opened up about the role in an interview earlier this year:

“I was doing her whole schedule, doing her laundry, booking travel, putting the stroller together and all of these things. But I wasn’t nervous.”

“I was just excited, always staying longer than I needed because I was trying to prove myself … and then North came early!”

Obviously, this presented a huge challenge for her, as “I was a brand new assistant who had no idea what to do with a baby.”

“But all moved into Kris’ house, and she was the one who made it all feel okay and moved mountains for us,” Shepherd said.

It all went well for so long … until recently.

If you watch Keeping Up With the Kardashians online, you may recall Kim questioning Shepherd’s relationship with her sister Kourtney.

“Do you find it weird that you’re like ‘wifey’ with my assistant?” Kim said, at which point her older sibling inquired if that bothered her.

“Kind of,” Kim responded, countering, “What if all of a sudden I became BFF with Megan? I think you would definitely be like, ‘That’s weird.’”

Kourtney then told Kim that “we were talking” recently “and she was saying that she didn’t know what she wanted to do in life.”

Steph was grateful for her role as an assistant but “feels, like, maybe she’s in a place in life where she’s unfulfilled, job-wise.”

“I feel like she’s just looking to, like, evolve.”

Kim knew this was true, but it still hurt, as she felt she’d given Stephanie the chance to do new things such as manage the Kimoji app.

Also, “I do think it’s like inappropriate for her to talk to you and not to me,” Kim said. “I mean don’t you think that’s like a little bit unprofessional?”

Stephanie’s take on that friendship?

“Kourtney and I weren’t really close at all when I first started working, I don’t think she really liked me at first to be honest!” she said.

“When we were doing that world tour of Miami and Iceland and all those places, with so much travel time, we bonded.”

“Now we talk all the time and we’ll go to dinner.”

“I’ll spend the night at her house,” she added.

“People always think we’re either lesbians, because we’re always together or holding hands, or even that I am Kourtney.”

“I guess we look alike and have a similar style.”

No word on whether personal jealousy or awkwardness played a role in her getting fired, and we aren’t likely to find out.

We’re guessing there’s an NDA involved.

Stephanie March Reveals Unbearable Breast Surgery Nightmare

Her split from husband Bobby Flay prompted the need for a change.

Now, actress Stephanie March realizes that change should not have been a physical one.

In an essay for Refinery29, March recalled what made her decide to get a boob job in August 2014.

“I was 39 years old, and my life was disintegrating. Couldn’t get a job I wanted on camera, couldn’t get attention for my production projects, couldn’t travel the world far enough or fast enough or immerse myself in philanthropy enough to make it all go away.

“It was like watching a glacier cleave into giant chunks: massive and seemingly well beyond my control,” she wrote.

“See, the other thing that was happening was that my marriage of nearly 10 years (and 14 together) was falling apart. And nothing, nothing was helping me cope.

“Not therapy, not patience, not wine-soaked dinners with friends where I “got it all out.” Great spidery cracks widened over time. Boom. Boom. Boom.”

So, March underwent the surgery, but a few months later, one of her implants burst.

“One morning in early October when I sat up in bed and felt a sickening wet mucus sliding down my chest,” she wrote.

“It was everywhere, soaking my shirt and the sheets. My right implant was infected and the seams of the scar on my right breast had burst.”

March rushed to her surgeon’s office, who stitched her up and sent her to an infectious disease specialist.

On Christmas Eve, March got another infection in the area, and ultimately decided to have them removed.

“The problem wasn’t something anyone could have prevented or predicted — it was that I am allergic to implants,” March wrote.

“Plain and simple. My body did. Not. Want. Them. I kept trying to ‘fix’ my body, and it kept telling me to leave it alone.”

It took awhile, but March began to realize that fixing herself physically would not help her heal from a broken marriage.  Slowly but surely, she did what she had to do to be happy again.

“All that I had, all that I was, from the beginning, was all I needed to be,” she wrote.

“And now, I anticipate summer of 2016 with great joy. I will be poolside, beachside, and swimming — and perhaps, in a more daring moment (with a margarita nearby), I will be topless.

“I have nothing to hide.”

Kendall Jenner Hits Back at Stephanie Seymour: She"s a Cyberbully!

Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid have recently been raked over the coals by several icons in the fashion industry.

Earlier this year, legendary designer Calvin Klein said he wouldn’t have put Kendall in his ads if he’d still been at the helm.

Then former model Rebecca Romijn told the world that Kendall and Gigi “are not true supermodels.

The latest diss comes from one of the original supermodels of the 90s, Stephanie Seymour.

“Supermodels are sort of the thing of the past. They deserve their own title,” she explained.

“Bitches of the moment!” Seymour suggested as a title for the new crop of models.

The consensus in the fashion community seems to be that designers have adopted Kendall and Gigi due to their social media influence (born out of reality shows Keeping Up With the Kardashians and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills) rather than their hard work or skills.

“I know a lot of people — legitimate fashion people — can’t stand it,” Romijn told Entertainment Tonight.

But now Kendall’s had enough of the shade.

She recently took to her app and website to play defense.

“If you choose to be a cyberbully, I’m going to stick up for myself,” she began.

“No one is trying to steal Stephanie Seymour’s thing, or trying to be her. I actually looked up to her. She has a daughter!

“I guarantee you that she didn’t imagine someone so publicly shaming her daughter when she made those comments about us being ‘bitches of the moment.’”

Kendall went on to defend her and Gigi’s supermodel status.

“If people want to call Gigi and I supermodels now, it doesn’t take anything away from supermodels of the past,” she asserted.

“Obviously, I have so much respect for those women, but right now, we’re the models of this time. Significant? Maybe. Hardworking? For sure.”

However they got there, Kendall and Gigi are indeed the models of the moment. It’s a new day and social media didn’t exist in the 90s, and maybe if it had, Stephanie Seymour wouldn’t have had a job.

I can see how it might be frustrating for someone who thinks they “earned” their supermodel status by working harder, but perhaps these folks should be targeting the designers and agencies who’ve created this new tide shift in fashion rather than the models themselves.

Just a thought.

Stephanie Seymour: Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid are Cool, But Supermodels They Are Not

Alrighty!

Stephanie Seymour, one of the legendary supermodels to emerge from the 1990s, was asked by Vanity Fair to describe this generation’s crop of pretty young things.

“Bitches of the moment!” she joked.

“Supermodels are sort of the thing of the past. They deserve their own title,” Seymour said diplomatically.

“[Kendall and Gigi] are beautiful girls, and I support all of them, but they need their own title.

“They are completely different than we were,” Seymour explained, referring to her contemporaries Linda Evangelista, Claudia Schiffer, Helena Christenson, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Cindy Crawford.

“Modeling was more of a mysterious back then.  The talent could get weird with super-rich men, do tons of drugs and get away with so much more because reality TV and social media didn’t exist.

Unfortunately, those two things are largely responsible for Jenner and Hadid’s careers.

“Because there weren’t cameras around us all the time, we got away with so much more and had so much more fun,” Seymour said.

“We didn’t have people watching us all the time, and we weren’t putting ourselves out there in a way that was turning the media against us or for us in any way.

“We still had our privacy, and there was more of an illusion behind the girls. You lose your illusion when you give much of yourself away, and that’s what I don’t like about it.”

Rebecca Romijn was a bit more critical in describing how much the world of modeling has changed.

I know a lot of people — legitimate fashion people — can’t stand it,” Romijn told Entertainment Tonight.

“Hate it that these, you know, social media stars are now the supermodels in fashion. They are not true supermodels.”

The same could be said for models trying to become actresses, Madame Romijn…

Stephanie Pratt -- Rushed to Hospital for Serious Spider Bite

Z STAFF

Exclusive Details

0925-sub-stephanie-pratt-instagram-01Stephanie Pratt had a medical emergency on Thursday — a spider bite that was so bad, she couldn’t feel part of her face … and not in that fun Weeknd kinda way.

The former ‘Hills‘ star tells us she woke up in London — where she now lives — with a nasty bite under her eye, and her face was so swollen it looked like she had a tumor. She immediately went to a hospital to get antibiotics for the swelling, and to drain the puss.

She says doctors determined it was a spider bite, and they believe it could have been a black widow. Stephanie says she was temporarily blinded in her left eye, and lost feeling in her face.

Everything is back to normal now and she is at home resting.
