Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra: We"re Engaged! And Gorgeous!

Just about a month after the exciting news broke that Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra were engaged, the hunky singer and the gorgeous actress accomplished two things on Saturday:

They confirmed the huge development.

They celebrated in a very special way with family and friends.

“Future Mrs. Jonas. My heart. My love,” Jonas captioned the above snapshot on Instagram this morning.

As you can see, it depicts the famous and beloved couple embracing, as Chopra places her hand (and massive engagement ring) on his chest. 

The Quantico star, meanwhile, shared the same picture on her social media page and wrote along with it:

“Taken.. With all my heart and soul.”

These beautiful words were just the beginning, however.

The confirmation from the celebrities came on the same day their families united for the first time to celebrate the soon-to-be husband and wife’s engagement in Chopra’s home country of India.

And both Jonas and Chopra included many pictures from the unique party on their respective Instagram pages…

“The only way to do this… with Family and God. Thank you all for your wishes and blessings,” wrote Chopra as a caption to the gallery of images we’ve posted above and below.

The truly awesome photos featured Chopra and Jonas posing for another engagement shot, along with photographs taken while the two participated in a Hindu prayer ceremony.

Fans have been curious about this relationship ever since the stars walked the red carpet together at the Met Gala last year.

Speculation then ramped upto fevered pitch after People Magazine reported an engagement…

… and the director of Chopra’s latest project Tweeted last month that the actress was out of his “Bharat” film with a thinly veiled reference to singer-actor Jonas.

“Yes Priyanka Chopra is no more part of @Bharat_TheFilm & and the reason is very very special , she told us in the Nick of time about her decision and we are very happy for her,” Ali Abbas Zafar wrote, adding at the time:

“Team Bharat wishes @priyankachopra loads of love & happiness for life.”

Jonas, of course, rose to fame as a member of a boy band made up of him and two of his brothers.

The group has since split, but Jonas has maintained his fame via a solo career and a few acting gigs.

Chopra, meanwhile, is actually good friends with Meghan Markle and Serena Williams.

She just wrapped up a leading role in the ABC drama Quantico, which marked her first starring role in American television.

The actress was a a giant name in Bollywood prior to her job on this series.

“So happy for the engagement of our son @nickjonas and we welcome @priyankachopra into our family with love and excitement,” wrote Kevin, Sr. on Instagram this week.

As far as proposal details go?

All we know for sure is that Jonas popped the big question back in July.

“His friends and family have never seen him like this, and they’re all really excited for him. He’s definitely very serious about her,” an insider tells People.

Well, yeah! We’d sure hope so! The two are set to get married!

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Jen Harley: We"re Back Together! Everything"s Fine!

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro’s love life is just too much.

Way, way too much.

And if you watched Jersey Shore in its glorious original run, you know that — his relationship with Sammi Giancola was constantly messy and scary and sad.

Just on the show, we saw him cheat on her multiple times, and once he destroyed her entire room after a fight by throwing her belongings around and flipping her bed over.

Of course, Sam wasn’t completely innocent in all the drama.

She always had something against JWoww because of her friendship with Ronnie, and on one particularly bizarre occasion, she asked him if he was friends with her, and when he wouldn’t answer, she punched him in the face.

But that was just one relationship, you know?

Maybe Ronnie and Sam were just particularly terrible for each other, or maybe because they were so young and also on a reality show, things just got super crazy.

Except for the past few months, we’ve been hearing some pretty disturbing stories about Ron and the mother of his child, Jen Harley.

And now we’re pretty sure Ron is just a terrible boyfriend who seeks out terrible girlfriends.

A few months ago, these two wild and crazy kids got into a fight on social media, apparently because Ronnie found some videos of Jen having sex with some other guy on her phone.

He made a post on Instagram about how you “can’t turn a natural born HOE, into a housewife,” and Jen hit back with “can’t turn a coke head into a father.”

After that, he apologized, but then he shared some texts from someone who claimed to have had sex with Jen on a taco float while she ignored Ron’s calls, so it seems like he didn’t mean it.

Let’s see, he threatened physical violence while she was filming an Instagram Live video, then they got into a fight over their dog.

But at the end of June, things got even more serious when they got into another brawl — a really, really nasty one.

Jen was driving them home from a friend’s house, when — surprise! — they got into an argument.

Ronnie claimed that she punched him several times, and when he tried to get out of the car, she hit the gas and dragged him down the road.

His story checks out, because when police responded to the scene, they noted that he had “apparent injuries to his mouth and arms and road rash,” and that there was blood all over the car.

Jen claimed that Ron had hit her, too, and the officer who wrote the police report believed her, but she was considered to be the aggresor, so she’s the one that got arrested.

Their daughter was in the car during all of this, by the way.

They were supposed to be done for good after that, but a little over a week later, they were seen celebrating the Fourth of July together.

And now, believe it or not, they are together again.

For real.

Ronnie and Jen, along with their daughter, are on vacation Puerto Rico right now, and Jen’s been sharing some cute (???) family photos.

And if the fact that they’re on a beautiful vacation together isn’t enough proof that things are all romantic between them again, then know that a source has confirmed to E! News that they are, in fact, on again.

“They’ve been quiet about it but it’s been about a month now,” the insider claimed.

“They want peace and they want things to work out for the baby’s sake.”

Still, the souce added that the next season of Jersey Shore: Famiy Vacation is going to be “crazy.”

And that’s because “There was so much up and down with them, so much drama, and the cameras caught a lot of it.”

Did MTV cameras manage to capture the dead dog fight?

Were there cameras installed on the dashboard of the car to catch Ron being dragged down the road?

If either of those things are true, we can imagine the new season will definitely be crazy, and not necessarily in a good way.

As for this apparent reunion of Ronnie and Jen … ugh.

We now know exactly what the stork is bringing Russ and Paola Mayfield.

In a very sweet and revealing Instagram message, the veteran reality stars alerted fans to the gender of the baby growing inside of Paola.

IT’S A BOY!

We are having a BOY!!!!

I didn’t care if it was a boy or a girl, I just wanted a healthy baby and to be able to have it in my arms as soon as possible.

Of course I’m always rooting for a girl but a boy is a blessing as well and I know my husband is really excited!

This is an amazing experience now I can finally say I’m pregnant!!! I’m having a little boy.

The Mayfields announced their first child was on the way back in late July.

They did so via the following statement to Us Weekly:

“This is the most amazing feeling ever! We can’t believe we are going to be parents – we are already so in love with our baby.

“We are ready for this new adventure and we know it will bring us closer together.

“God has blessed us again, and this time, we are going as strong as our baby’s heartbeat.”

The couple also included the following image with this adorable confirmation:

News that Paola and Russ are expecting was met with surprise and also joy by fans of 90 Day Fiance.

We say surprise because there had been chatter as recently as a few weeks ago that the twosome’s marriage was on the rocks, as they seemingly could never settle the tension that existed over Paola so often posing near-nude.

And we say joy because Paola suffered a miscarriage last year.

This tragedy took a toll on the relationship in a variety of ways.

But Russ has strongly defended his union every step of the way, telling off trolls on Instagram not long before this pregnancy news went viral.

“Keep hating and commenting to better your dull lives because your opinions are meaningless in my eyes,” Russ said at this time, pulling nary a punch and concluding:

“You’re only hurting yourself hiding behind your keyboard. Which proves nothing to you or me…

“I am proud of where I come from,. And where I am going and that’s with the love of my life.”

So there you have it. Well said.

Duggar Kids Demand Time Off: We"re Sick of Living In Front of a Camera!

Often when the fine denizens of the internet are spewing invective against reality stars in some sort of online forum the phrase “get a real job” is bandied about.

Far be it for us to defend the Kardashians and Snookis of the world — people who could buy and sell us despite never having set foot in an office in their adult lives — but life as a reality star can actually be quite demanding.

And as the Duggar family is now learning the hard way, it’s particularly tough on young people.

According to a new report from Radar Online, the Jim Bob and Michelle’s offspring have essentially formed a union.

Their sole demand?

No more round-the-clock filming.

Yes, apparently, the Jana, Jill, Jessa, et al. are fed up with living their lives in the presence of a camera crew.

They don’t want to give up the gig entirely, mind you — it still beats the hell out of punching the clock at a 9 to 5, after all — they’re just sick of feeling like slaves to Counting On‘s demanding production schedule.

“The kids just don’t want to be in front of the cameras 24/7,” one insider tells Radar.

“They have a big break in between filming to carry on with their lives.”

Apparently, the driving force behind this mini-mutiny is second-eldest son John David Duggar.

John David is currently courting Abbie Burnett, and it seems he doesn’t want his first romantic relationship to be painstakingly documented by a full camera crew.

At first, it seems, he kept his relationship on the down-low, and now that it’s out in the open, he insists that he and Abbie be allowed some time away from the cameras.

“John David kept his relationship quiet and hidden so he could enjoy time without press,” says the source.

The other Duggars, apparently inspired by his example, have reportedly also demanded more private time.

But if you’re concerned about the future of Counting On, fear not.

The insider says the Duggar kids are planning to keep working for TLC for the foreseeable future.

“They will keep doing the show for a while,” the source says.

Sounds like they have at least a few more seasons left in them.

But just to be safe, you might want to watch Counting On online while you still can.

Christina and Tarek El Moussa: We"re Getting Back Together!*

*In a professional sense and setting, that is.

On Wednesday night, Christina El Moussa took to Instagram in order to announce that she and her ex-husband are not just getting along perfectly well these days.

They are getting along SO well that they will continue to co-host Flip or Flop!

“We’re baaacckkk!!!” El Moussa told her 875,000 followers yesterday, adding in exciting detail:

#FlipOrFlop was just picked up by @hgtv for 15 new episodes!! Look for Season 8 to premiere in Spring 2019. We want to make it the best season yet….

What do you want to see this season?!

Christina and Tarek, as you likely know by now, announced their divorce in late 2016.

Many HGTV viewers understandably feared at the time that this would also mean the end of the pair’s popular home renovation and house flipping series, especially once details of the break-up became public.

(Ummm… Tarek had a gun and Christina feared he as suicidal?!?)

However, ratings for Season 7 of Flip or Flop were actually up 18 percent from the previous season, which isn’t really all that shocking, is it?

Of course folks would tune in more than ever to see how a divorced couple would act around each other, right?

Would there be noticable tension?

Would personal differences be amicably put aside in the name of professional success?

The answer to the first question proved to be no and the second question yes, as Tarek and Christina have managed to avoid bashing each other to the press, while maintaining a strong enough relationship to co-parent their two young kids.

It’s been pretty cool to watch, actually.

Late last year, both halves of the former couple even acknowledged their split about a year after it happened, taking an admirable perspective on it via a pair of social media posts.

First, Christina quoted a passage from a book that read as follows:

“You do not get to choose the events that come your way nor the sorrows that interrupt your life. They will likely be a surprise to you, catching you off guard and unprepared…

“To suffer, that is common to all. To suffer and still keep your composure, your faith, and your smile, that is remarkable.”

And then Tarek confessed that he was at a low point around the time of his divorce, but:

“In my opinion, rock bottom is an opportunity to start over and do it right!”

Such a life view has worked out well for both Christina and Tarek, as well as HGTV.

“Fans have followed Tarek and Christina through scores of house flips and supported their personal journey for years,” said Allison Page, president HGTV and Food Network this week, adding:

“We’re eager to see how they continue to run their flipping business, co-parent their children and start new chapters in their professional and personal lives.”

For Christina, this may mean marrying some dude named Ant Anstead.

But Tarek doesn’t seem to care. He’s just focused on real estate right now.

“I know we’ve been around for a really, really long time, but we are back,” he said on his own Instagram page yesterday. “We’re ready to flip some houses!”

John David Duggar and Abbie Burnett: We"re Engaged! Already!

Just one month after John David Duggar and Abbie Burnett announced to the world that they’re courting, this brand new couple has another exciting announcement to make.

Are you sitting down for it?

Are you ready?

Okay, here we go:

The twosome is engaged!!!!

The Counting On star and his bride-to-be took fans by surprise on Wednesday morning when they confirmed this existing piece of news via the official Duggar website.

“Wow! We are engaged! This feels even more real than before! It was a special moment to share together,” Duggar and Burnett said, adding in more detail:

“The proposal and the ‘YES’ really solidified that we want to spend the rest of our lives together. One of the most amazing things about following Christ is being able to trust Him to direct your path and lead your life.

“We are so thankful that He led us to one another. Now we need to start thinking about a wedding!”

Wow, huh? This sure was fast.

John David, of course, is 28 years old. So the very short period of time that has elapsed between his courtship of Burnett and his proposal does make some sense.

From the point of view of his family, that is.

Duggar is ancient by Duggar standards, meaning he’s already fallen way behind in terms of making babies and adding to the ever-growing number of children in this famous overall brood.

In late June, he and Burnett, who works as a nurse, told the world that they had fallen in love very quickly.

“It’s been a wonderful journey thus far,” John David said back then.

Since introducing Burnett to his fans and supporters, Duggar has been accusing of breaking relationship rules with her, as both halves of this couple are on social media (a Duggar family no-no) and both seem to touch each other a lot (a major Duggar family no-no).

But the heart wants what the heart wants… and so do the hands, we guess.

As for the engagement itself?

Duggar got down on one knee in an airplane hangar in front of a sign that reads “Abbie, Will You Marry Me?”

In a video shared online by TLC, the very happy pair then show off Burnett’s beautiful ring and explained how engagement is different from courtship.

Ready to take some notes, readers?

“Engagement is very different than a courtship because engagement actually says, ‘Okay, I’m committed to this person to marriage for life,’ ” says Duggar to the camera, adding:

“A courtship is more of a I’m getting to know this person with the idea of the possibility of marriage.

“But now it’s actually that commitment towards marriage.”

Okay. Got it!

While we wonder whether Duggar is just getting married to escape the clutches of his dad, John David has more to say on this topic.

“We’ve been ready for this step for a little while, but it was really just I had a lot of things I wanted to get done to make it really special,” said Duggar.

“I don’t know if I succeeded or not, but it was a lot of things.”

Oh, please, “he succeeded,” Burnett jumps in and says, going on to say she is “looking forward to planning a wedding so that we can get married!”

We’re so very happy for the couple.

Khloe Kardashian to Tristan Thompson: Cleveland Sucks! We"re Living in LA!

Many were shocked when Khloe Kardashian made the decision not to dump Tristan Thompson after he was caught repeatedly cheating on her.

But perhaps no one found the news more surprising than Tristan himself.

You have to figure that dude thought he would be promptly kicked to the curb after footage of him canoodling with various strippers and NBA groupies made the rounds online.

And yet, all these months later, he and Khloe are still an item.

But if you were worried about Tristan getting off scot-free, fear not.

While it’s certainly true that he did plenty of getting off, it looks like he’s paying the price for all of that extra-marital activity.

For starters, Khloe and Tristan are in couple’s therapy these days, and we imagine those sessions consist of Tristan staring blankly at a wall and wishing death on J.R. Smith while Khloe and the therapist just unload on his ass.

On top of that, Tristan can kiss his carefree days in Drew Carey country goodbye.

Yes, it seems that just like LeBron before him, Tristan is moving to LA.

But while King James made the leap in hopes of securing another ring, Tristan did so because Khloe is holding all the cards these days.

It wasn’t all that long ago that the Kardashians issued Khloe an ultimatum — dump Tristan, or we’re dumping you.

They seem to have mellowed on that stance, but it still can’t be totally comfortable for Thompson to be living in the heart of Kard clan country.

Khloe, on the other hand, is loving every second of it.

She recently took to her personal website to gush about the joys of life in Calabasas:

“I’m over the moon about being home!” Khloe wrote.

“Of course, I missed my actual house immensely while I was in Cleveland — there’s nothing like enjoying your own home.”

Khloe went on to state that the best part of the experience is watching baby True interact with her cousins:

“I’m most excited about being so close to my family,” she added.

“Getting the kids together and having True do all of her classes with her cousins is a great feeling!” 

As for Tristan, well — he’s reportedly making the best of it.

Sources say the situation remains uncomfortable, but he’s managing to get along with Khloe’s mom and sisters.

One of the few upsides to being a bad Kardashian boyfriend is that it’s almost impossible to be the worst Kardashian boyfriend.

Sure, Tristan is bad, bus is he worse than, say, Scott Disick? Hardly.

Khloe and Tristan will reportedly spend the entire NBA offseason in LA, and then temporarily relocate to Cleveland.

We’re sure Thompson is counting the days.

In fact, he might be the only one looking forward to this Cavs season.

Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham: Yes, We"re Still Getting Married!

While those of you who follow The Bachelorette Spoilers already know that Becca Kufrin finds her love (sort of), how is her disgraced ex Arie Luyendyk Jr. doing?

Well, Arie and Lauren announced their wedding date and location — and their nuptials are only months away.

Now that the scandal of Arie’s proposal has died down a little, they’ve finally taken some engagement photos. Take a look!

Arie shared this photo in an Instagram post.

Arie captioned the pic, writing: “One step closer to the wedding :)”

Before you rip on him for being so old that he uses an emoticon instead of an emoji, remember that he’s only 36 — he just looks older.

“This is what life is all about,” Arie continues. “Sharing these amazing moments with her.”

He then reminds fans of the looming wedding date, writing: “Under 6 months until the big day!”

“It’s now just under six months till I marry this sweet man,” Lauren Burnham writes uner her own engagement photo.

Some notice that hers focuses on their intimate bond, while Arie’s choice of photo highlights how pretty Lauren is.

“He’s been the biggest blessing in my life,” Lauren gushes. “Every single day.”

Lauren then includes the tag: “#truelovewins”

If you say so, Lauren.

Arie and Lauren recently purchased a home together after a lot of considerations.

As you may recall, their first plan was to purchase a home that needed to be remodeled, but apparently Lauren was overwhelmed by it.

That is understandable. Upgrading an entire home only looks neat on television because we see the process in an hour.

So the two of them instead purchased a brand new home together and shared a photo on Instagram to celebrate.

We mentioned that some had viewed their photos with a critical eye, but it may be unfair.

Others have also pointed out that Lauren, in the top engagement photo, is of course posing for a photograph rather than actually exclaiming in delight and joy.

They question how long a relationship is fated to last when one party is obviously so good at faking happiness and enthusiasm.

But honestly? This might be a little critical of Lauren. She does seem to be genuinely happy.

Besides, some argue that certain lies are the glue that holds relationships together.

After weeks of teasing the idea of a summer wedding, Lauren and Arie finally settled on a date.

Their nuptials are scheduled for January 12, 2019. The ceremony will take place in Hawaii.

That’s no summer wedding, but Hawaii’s average January temperatures are in the 70s, so it should still be warm enough for everyone wearing a suit to beg for the chill mercy of death.

These engagement photos are a reminder to fans that these two are still together, regardless of what critics say.

They’re also continuing their march towards the aisle. January will be here before we know it.

And, despite the circumstances of their engagement, some members of the Bachelor Nation cannot help but wonder if Arie and Lauren will be the ones to beat the odds.

3. Javi Has Been Married Before, Of Course

To Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry. That’s how he became famous in the first place. The two got divorced after each side cheated, but have found mostly amicable ground these days.

Scott Disick and Sofia Richie: We"re Roommates!

According to a new report, Scott Disick and Sofia Richie are living in sin.

How so?

By living with each other!

Indeed, about one month after rumors of a Disick-Richie break-up ran rampant around the Internet, sources now tell Us Weekly that the couple isn’t just going strong…

… it’s taken a major step in a very serious direction.

“Scott and Sofia are moving in together,” a source tells this tabloid very simply in its latest issue, adding of the arrangement:.

“She’ll move into his house.”

The decision to shack up follows a lot of chatter about Richie ending this romance after Disick allegedly cheated on Sofia in Miami this spring.

Scott was also seen getting very close and awfully cozy with a mystery woman at Kanye West’s Ye album listening party in Wyoming on May 31.

Classic Scott Disick, right?

That’s what Kourtney Kardashian would say.

Still, despite the widely held belief that Disick was sticking his penis into at least one other woman just a little while back, many people close to the situation had a feeling Richie wouldn’t be able to walk away.

We guess she knew what she was getting into when she started dating Disick, right?

“It’s likely not totally over,” an insider told People Magazine of Richie and Disick in early June, right around the time of their alleged split, adding:

“They’ve broken up multiple times since they started dating and always ended up back together. No one would be surprised if they’re out again together in a few days or weeks.”

Well, sure, right?

Who can resist the… charm of Scott Disick? The rugged handsomeness of Scott Disick? The ability of Scott Disick to drink a lot of alcohol in one night?

We really have no idea at this point.

Following the news of Disick’s supposed indiscretions, a confidant revealed that Richie confided in her famous father, Lionel Richie.

And how did the veteran singer respond?

Us Weekly writes that he threatened “to cut her off and write her out of his will if she continues her relationship with Scott as he thinks he’s extremely toxic for her.”

It now sounds as if Richie is willing to call this bluff.

Disick, of course, shares three kids with Kardashian: Mason, 8, Penelope, 6, and Reign, 3.

How does Kourtney feel about her ex-boyfriend’s new living situation?

“She couldn’t be bothered by the drama,” says this first source. “She just cares about the kids and that they’re OK with the situation, which they are.”

It also helps that Kourtney is on vacation at the moment as well.

And by the looks of things, she has every reason not to care at all about what Scott is doing.

Jenelle Evans" Son Says What We"re All Thinking: She"s a Piece of Sh-t!

Jenelle Evans doesn"t have much competition for the esteemed title of Worst Mother in the History of Reality Television.

And now, it seems even her own offspring agree that Jenelle really doesn"t have much business raising children.

The Carolina Hurricane keeps finding new and creative ways to hit rock bottom this season, and viewers are more disgusted by her behavior than ever.

Last week, we learned that CPS has been called to Jenelle"s house an astonishing 20 times in less than a year.

And this week, we learned that at 8 years old, her eldest son Jace already recognizes that Jenelle isn"t much for this whole "being a parent" thing.

Jace is Jenelle’s first child, but since infancy, he’s been in the custody of her mother, the infamous Barbara Evans.

2. The Never-Ending Battle

Jenelle has made several efforts to regain custody over the years, but after the current season of Teen Mom 2, it seems more certain than ever that Jace will reside with Babs until he leaves for college.

3. A Low Point

Last week, we saw Jenelle receive a visit from her local sheriff. He had been called to the home to perform a wellness check on Jenelle and David’s kids, but the couple refused to allow him inside the house.

4. An Ugly Scene

Jenelle stated that it was the twentieth time the authorities had been called to her home in the past year. Viewers noted that more than a dozen prescription bottles were placed where they could be reached by children.

5. The Terrible Twosome

Fans probably didn’t think they could come away with a much lower opinion of Jenelle and David’s parenting after last week’s episode. Of course, Evans and Eason were quick to prove them wrong…

Alexis Bellino and Jim Bellino: YES, We"re Getting Divorced!

The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Alexis Bellino is getting a divorce after 13 years of marriage.

Though it has been a few years since she was on RHOC, the news about Alexis and Jim took a number of fans by surprise. People wondered where they went wrong.

In a joint statement, the divorcing couple is confirming their divorce — and explaining it.

In a joint statement to Us Weekly, Alexis and Jim Bellino hope to clear the air.

“It is with heavy hearts,” the statement begins. “That we inform the public of our mutual decision to end our marriage.”

That can be a difficult choice to make, and sometimes it is just as difficult to announce.

The statement continues: “But it’s important to us that you know we made this choice together, with love.”

That sounds amicable! That’s very promising.

She says they see it as right for them, “and as the best decision for our children’s future.”

The statement from Alexis and Jim, who just last year enjoyed a romantic getaway in Venice, Italy, continues.

“We hold one another in the highest regards as spouses, and especially as parents,” the statement reads.

So they want it clear that this isn’t a situation of spite or hatred.

“We have agreed,’ they announce. “On 50/50 custody of the children,”

So it doesn’t sound like they plan on waging a custody battle.

They’re telling fans this “and we ask that you respect our privacy by not theorizing about the reasons for our divorce.”

So we’re not meant to believe that they’re both assassins from rival organizations and have only just learned of this. Gotcha.

“In recent days and weeks,” the statement continues. “There has been a lot of negative discussion about our marriage and why it is ending.”

“Outside of the news of our decision to part ways,” Alexis and Jim say. “There is nothing provocative, alluring, or sordid about the dissolution of our marriage.”

That is often the case. Marriages can begin and end for very mundane reasons.

“Quite to the contrary,” the statement says. “We strongly support each other just as we have since the beginning of our relationship.”

It sounds like they’re just no longer compatible as partners.

“Our marriage was a good one,” Alexis and Jim say. “But we were never perfect people or spouses.”

The statement then goes on to claim that “no one is” perfect. If that’s true, how do they explain Janelle Monae?

“And in this respect,” the statement says. “We were a lot like millions of other married people.”

In other words: flawed.

“And,” the statement says. “Just like millions of other married people, we simply grew apart over times.”

Hey, it happens.

“There is no ill will or bad blood between us,” they reiterate.

“And maybe that’s why,” they say. “Absurd rumors about our marriage and future together began when we filed for divorce.”

Their argument, here, is that if they’d really been having problems, then there would have been rumors before their divorce.

(We don’t know if we necessarily buy that logic)

“We ultimately want you to feel happy for us,” the statement reads. “Respect our privacy during this difficult time, and pray for our mutual benefit as we weather this storm.”

Alexis and Jim give a shoutout to those lending them emotional support.

“To the fans who have supported us since the beginning, we’re grateful for how you cheers us on,” they write.

“We ask that you continue to cheer,” the statement concludes. “As our lives and the lives of our children change and ultimately improve as a result of this difficult decision.”

That is a very reasonable request.

Let’s hope that their divorce remains as amicable and thoughtful as it appears in this joint statement.
