Kate Plus 8 Season 4 Episode 2 Recap: Fun in the Sunshine State

After a premiere that reminded us that Kate Gosselin is still around (sigh), what did Tuesday night’s episode have in store as an encore?

On Kate Plus 8 Season 4 Episode 2, Kate and her brood were still in Florida, though their vacation was besieged by various obstacles.

Those who watch Kate Plus 8 online or who have seen any of Kate’s PR blitz know that the kids are a lot older than they used to be.

That means new issues like teenage girls talking to boys, but old school elements of Jon & Kate Plus 8 were present last night as well.

Namely? Taking eight kids to the beach! It’s rough!

Not only did they partake in an epic sand castle building session, but they went deep-sea fishing, which Kate loves “more than life itself.”

Certainly more than Jon Gosselin. OHHHHHHHH!

But seriously folks. Aaden and Leah threw up, and the rest of the kids begged to go home, but other than that it was a major success.

“I feel the most peaceful and calm in the middle of the ocean,” Kate said, feeling serene in spite of her children succumbing to nausea.

Following a little recovery and homemade culinary goodness, the next day, mom decided to humor the kids with a trip to the water park.

Now that got them excited.

“I don’t do water parks,” she sighed, but she did it for the kids, and that’s what it’s all about as they grow. Cherishing these memories.

“Yeah, I was the boring mom sanding at the bottom … a lot of boring moms standing at the bottom!” Kate told the TLC cameras.

She said she loved being able to see the looks on the kids’ faces when they emerged from the slides, and really, that’s as good as it gets.

The Voice Results: Season 9 Winner Revealed!

Tuesday, on The Voice results show, Emily Ann Roberts placed second, while Barrett Baber and Jeffery Austin rounded out the final four.

Jordan Smith? He won!!! He’s The Voice!

Smith, 21, was joined on stage by his head coach Adam Levine and family members for a celebratory rendition of “Climb Every Mountain.”

Which he has. And then some.

Prior to that, Smith performed alongside R&B star and former Voice coach Usher while singing the crooner’s dance hit “Without You.”

Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, Coldplay, Missy Elliott, and more stars also took center stage as The Voice final four learned their fates.

The other big story of The Voice Season 9? Gwake. Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani dating, flirting, full-on PDA-ing it on that stage.

In 2016, Christina Aguilera returns to the lineup of coaches as Stefani takes a break to release new music. Blake will be devastated.

Congrats again to Jordan Smith, and to Gwake for pulling this amazing publicity stunt all season long after their respective divorces!

(Kidding. Probably.)

Lamar Odom: Ready to Leave Hospital, Nowhere to Go

It’s been over two months since Lamar Odom overdosed on a cocktail of drugs while partying at a Nevada brothel.

At first, Odom’s recovery was nothing short of miraculous. He emerged from his coma and began communicating with family and hospital staff just days after he nearly lost his life. Unfortunately, he’s encountered numerous road blocks in the weeks since.

Insiders say that even though Odom is unable to walk, frequently forgets his own name and requires round-the-clock care, they’ve done all they can for him from a rehab standpoint.

“There really hasn’t been a lot of improvement in Lamar’s overall health and it’s time for him to transition from care at Cedars to another facility that can focus on his physical rehabilitation,” a source close to the situation tells Radar Online.

“Medically, there isn’t anything more that can be done for Lamar at Cedars Sinai.”

Yes, Lamar is not only ready to leave Cedars-Sinai, he’ll soon be forced to leave the hospital. Unfortunately, he currently has no place to stay.

Khloe Kardashian has refused to allow Lamar to stay with her, and the rest of his family is either estranged or unable to house him.

Now, those closest to the former NBA star are having even finding a group home where Lamar can get the care he needs and still retain some modicum of privacy.

“Lamar’s people want him to be in a quality care facility,” says the insider. “But they are having trouble finding one that is secure and will provide him with the treatment he needs.

“Khloe doesn’t want Lamar to be moved close to her house, because she feels that there would be pressure to visit him every day,” 

“And another facility they had considered can’t take Lamar because he is still unable to control his bladder. There will be a very, very long road to Lamar’s recovery and it’s unclear what’s next.”

Yes, after several weeks of bad news, it looks as though it may be a very bleak holiday season for Lamar.

Fortunately, unlike most people in his situation, Odom has the support of some very rich in-laws.

Lindsay Lohan Responds to Jennifer Lawrence Diss, Quotes Maya Angelou For Some Reason

As you may have heard, Jennifer Lawrence took a random shot at Lindsay Lohan during an interview with Stephen Colbert last night.

It was pretty tame as far as LiLo disses go. Basically, J-Law said she throws up a lot (?), but added that it’s not for the reasons that Lindsay Lohan throws up a lot.

It’s the kind of joke people make about Lohan because she drinks a lot and does a lot of drugs.

Anyway, as you might guess, LiLo was not happy, but she showed remarkable restraint on Twitter.

Instead of going off on Jen (We imagine that’ll come later tonight, once Linds starts hitting the bottle.), she had her little sister, Ali “Remember Me?” Lohan do her dirty work.

“I never breathe life into negativity but I stand by my family,” Ali tweeted. “Disappointed in Jennifer Lawrence. You lost a fan.”

Lawrence, who obviously can’t afford to lose a single fan, is probably devastated.

Lindsay replied to Ali’s tweet, writing, “Thank you sister…Maybe who referring to should learn to support others like #MayaAngelou”

She then posted one of those sunset memes that your mom’s always putting on Facebook with a quote from Angelou’s “Still I Rise.”

Something tells us when Maya jotted that one down, she didn’t have entitled cokehead “actresses” in mind, but who knows?

Believe it or not this isn’t the first time that Hollywood’s biggest actress and Hollywood’s human petri dish have clashed.

Last year, Lohan accused Lawrence of having sex for roles, which…we can’t even. 

Is she aware that Lawrence might be the most sought-after talent (male or female) in the industry right now?

Fortunately, Jen wisely steers clear of social media, so hopefully she’s not even aware of this nonsense.
