The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 8 Episode 13 Recap: Jamaican Jerks, Chickens

“I still have my Jesus with me, so I’m not gonna knock a bitch upside her head, but had she touched me, y’all would’ve seen a whole ‘nother side of Kim Fields.”

– Kim Fields

On The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 8 Episode 13, the women jetted off to Jamaica for some fun in the sun with their men in tow.

NeNe Leakes big appearance was the big storyline coming in …

… but she wasn’t the one who ruined the vacay in epic fashion.

Obviously, if you watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta online at all, you know that the shade-throwing drama never stays in the ATL.

In fact, it typically increases whenever there’s a trip involved.

During Cynthia Bailey’s meeting with Kim Fields and (the unbelievably immature) Kenya Moore, the trip began to go south in a hurry.

Moore accused Bailey of being unprofessional for going with Kim’s pitch for the ad, despite Kenya having flaked on the pitch meeting.

Then she called out Kim personally, and in a brazenly ridiculous middle school move, actually pulled Kim’s chair away from the table.

While Kim still happened to be sitting in it.

Fields (see above quote) kept her cool despite plenty of reasons to smack the ISH out of her adversary, while Cynthia just sat there.

Why Bailey didn’t grow a pair, own the decision to go with Kim’s pitch and shut down this display is beyond us, but it is what it is now.

At dinner later, when Peter asked what was wrong and what triggered this massive beef, More was still bitter and in a fighting mood.

“I would like to just take one of these lanterns and set my ass on fire than talk about this” Kenya snapped, to which Peter responded:

“Someone give her the motherf–king lantern.”

As Kim began to explain her side of things, Kenya up and left, after which Kim’s husband Chris laid it out for Cynthia plainly:

“As boss, you’re the only one that can [this]. Simply go to Kenya and say I made a decision and I need you as my friend to live with it.”

“And also say, ‘You’re not my BFF,"” NeNe added.

Of course, it’s not that easy, and the way in which Cynthia characterized their relationship made its way to Kenya the very next morning.

Kenya wouldn’t let that crucial point go either, eventually forcing Cynthia to tell her flat out: “In my mind, we’re not best friends yet.”

That, friends, is just a bitter pill to swallow.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians Recap: Lamar"s Darkest Days

On Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 11 Episode 11, Kim Kardashian was tasked with planning her mom’s 60th birthday party.

But from Scott Disick going to rehab to Lamar Odom being found in a Las Vegas brothel, Momager Kris’ big 6-0 felt like an afterthought.

In the midst of party planning, Kim learned that Disick went to rehab, a decision that everyone agreed could only good for the wildman.

But if you watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians online, you know it’s not the first time, as Khloe pointed out with moderate skepticism.

It was revealed that Kim went to visit Scott, bringing along his three kids with Kourtney Kardashian (who did not make the trip there).

Then it was Lamar Odom’s hospitalization which was was addressed, via a series of news reports about the former NBA champion.

Text appeared on screen, describing what had happened to Lamar for viewers and saying that “filming was stopped for a brief period.”

Chances are, if you follow the Kardashians at all, you were well aware of all of this, but it helped but the following scenes into context.

“I’m so overwhelmed with what’s going with Lamar,” Kris said, two weeks after. “It’s heartbreaking. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so powerless.”

Khloe, meanwhile, was spending “every second in the hospital with Lamar. She feels guilty for needing to leave,” Kourtney said.

She also decided not to call off her divorce from Odom so that she could continue making the best medical decisions for her ex.

As we now know, this did not lead to a reconciliation between the pair, but it did show us how much Khloe cares for and loves Lamar.

While this was going on, Kim felt bad about celebrating her own birthday, but Kanye West through her a party and left her no choice.

Caitlyn Jenner was in attendance, hanging out with Corey Gamble, Kris’ new boyfriend who was prominently featured in this episode.

If Corey Gamble is paid to date Kris Jenner, Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 11 Episode 11 was a very good week for him.

Though Kris initially resisted Gamble’s attempts to take care of her and make her relax, she capitulated and let her man do his thing.

Jill Duggar & Derick Dillard: BACK in Arkansas! Zika Virus to Blame?!

Back in September, Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard cut their missionary trip short and returned home to Arkansas after just a few weeks in Central America.

A minor scandal ensued, and the Dillards were forced to return funds donated by fans who felt they’d been duped. Jill and Derick resumed their humanitarian efforts shortly thereafter, but now it looks like they’ve once again returned to the States well ahead of schedule.

The above photo – which was recently posted to the Duggar family’s official Facebook page without a caption – appears to show the Dillards posing with 6-year-old niece Mackynzie at the “Duggar compound” in Tontitown, AR.

It is widely believed that Jill and Derick left Central America in order to avoid contracting the mosquito-borne Zika virus, which is known to cause birth defects in the children of infected mothers.

Women in the region have been advised to avoid getting pregnant for at least the next year, and Jill and Derick’s religious beliefs dictate that women should have as many children as possible.

While there’s no way of knowing when the photo was taken, many fans have pointed out in the comments that it was posted on  January 26, which is the same day that the first case of Zika was reported in Arkansas.

Obviously, there’s no way of knowing if anyone in the Dillard family contracted or has been tested for Zika, but it’s safe to assume the illness played a role in Jill and Derick’s decision to return to the US.

The Duggars have not yet spoken publicly on the matter, but the photo seems to be their way of assuring concerned fans that Jill, Derick, and baby Israel are out of harm’s way.

Jill has been uncharacteristically quiet on social media for the past three weeks.

We’ll have updates on this story as more information becomes available.
