The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 7 Episode 2 Recap: The Buddha Bentley Birthday

On The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 7 Episode 2, Erika auditioned some dancers to appear in her upcoming music video “Xxpensive.”

No, that is not a typographical error.

Meanwhile, Dorit’s luxe, extravagant birthday party (“The Buddha Bentley Birthday”) provided more than a few surprises, planned and unplanned.

Among them?

If you watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills online, Lisa Vanderpump shows Lisa Rinna and Eileen precisely where they stand.

When you have a group of people who hate each other, the best thing to bring them together is a big birthday bash.

More on that in a little.

We kicked things off with Lisa Rinna and Kyle Richards chatting about when the last time was they seen Lisa. It was at Erika’s birthday party.

Lisa R revealed that she was over all the arguments.

Meanwhile, Erika continued to prove how much she thought she was amazing. Her plan? Cast dancers for her tenth music video.

Now, her music videos in the past have not been anything to write home about, but it appeared like this one could actually be pretty decent.

Erika was trying to narrow down the talent to ensure she had the right people for the job.

When the ladies came face-to-face at Dorit’s birthday bash, tensions were at an all-time high.

Dorit was worrying that the party was going to be a dud because her husband was trying to plan it all without her. It was her 40th, so she wanted everything to be perfect.

It was a surprisingly lavish party that probably anyone would have loved to be part of.

When the ladies arrived, Dorit could not help but reveal that her home was once owned by Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony.

We get it, Dorit, you have money. Sheesh.

When Lisa V decided to apologize to Eileen, Eileen burst out laughing. She seemed to think Lisa was apologizing for the drama in the Hamptons.

In a confessional, Lisa V revealed she would never apologize to Eileen again. Come on, Lisa, she didn’t know what you were apologizing for.

After that, Lisa made nice with Lisa Rinna and the pair had a pillow fight. We’re joking about the last part, but they did make it up a little too quickly.

We all know how sarcastic Lisa Vanderpump can be.

She’s always saying very crude things. Eileen asked where Vinny was and said she seen him “in the corner with his head up somebody’s skirt.”

As you can probably expect, Eileen was less than impressed with Lisa’s response. Will these two ever be able to make it up?

What did you think of the episode?

John Mayer: Everything About Taylor Swift is Lame!

John Mayer must be seething with jealousy, because his ex-girlfriend, Taylor Swift, is waaayyyyy up here.

John Mayer … well, he’s hanging out waaaayyyyy down there.

In an internet tirade seemingly directed at his majorly famous ex, Mayer said, “Tuesday, December 13 may be the lamest day of the year, conceptually.”

While it could very well have been innocuous enough, Mayer suspiciously pulled the tweet down either realizing his snafu, or realizing that the douche was strong within.

If you were caught unaware, December 13 is Taylor Swift’s birthday.

Swift has also long credited the number 13 as her “lucky” one.

Previously Swift has said, “The significance of the number 13 on my hand.”

“I paint this on my hand before every show because 13 is my lucky number; for a lot of reasons,” she revealed.

“I was born on the 13th. I turned 13 on Friday the 13th. My first album went gold in 13 weeks.”

“My first number one song had a 13-second intro,” she said.

13 is a very, very significant number to Taylor Swift, apparently, and it might not be easy for her to just quit it.

And speaking of quitting things, Mayer and Swift’s parting didn’t come easily, either.

The song “Dear John” was about John Mayer, which included lyrics like “Wonderin’ which version of you I might get on the phone tonight.”

“Well I stopped pickin’ up and this song is to let you know why /Dear John, I see it all now that you’re gone.”

“Don’t you think I was too young /To be messed with? /Maybe it’s you and your sick need /To give love then take it away.”

“And you’ll add my name to your long list of traitors who don’t understand /And I’ll look back in regret how I ignored when they said, ‘Run as fast as you can.’ “

Super intense, right?

Mayer might well have deleted the tweet, but as he should know, the internet never does.

And if Swift herself catches wind of this, we’re not in for a tweet, but a real treat: you know there’ll be some kind of “Dear John II” to come out of all of this.

See? Everybody wins — Mayer preserves his “integrity” by not having the actual tweet out there, we get a new Swift song, and Taylor gets to make money.

As for why he did it, who knows.

Taylor Swift’s squad and toadies filled up the interwebs with birthday wishes and life accolades all over the place yesterday.

Perhaps that was the reason Mayer thought he’d add his particular brand of praise to the chorus.

Little did he know — or, hey; fully did he know — he picked the wrong day to call “lame.”

Frankly, to us, it sounds like Mayer wanted to get his name in the headlines again.

And not for wearing terrible hats and playing Big Sky Cowboy in Montana with all of his horsies.

Well played, sir; well played.

Kate Plus 8 Recap: Poconos, Puppies, Etc.

On Kate Plus 8 Season 5 Episode 3, the controversial mother of eight and her gargantuan-ass brood went on more adventures together.

If you thought it was just Kate and the kids going away, you were wrong. She even decided it would be best to take the two dogs with them on the trip.

Yeah, that was always going to be difficult with her big brood, but she went with it. The drama started pretty much immediately when it emerged that the family almost left without the dogs.

One of the more odd developments was that Kate played lifeguard to her children, even though she could not swim. Surely, there must be some health and safety laws against that.

Leah was quick to call her mother out about her lack of swimming skills, and the fact she did not even help her daughter out.

“My goodness, you’re not very much help,” said Leah. That kid definitely gets that wit from her mother.

Heck, Kate still did not quite understand the tubing incident, so she decided the best course of action was to scream as loud as she possibly could.

It was typical Kate. She reacts by screaming when she finds something difficult. Even her kids were quick to point out that she was over-dramatic about everything.

Maybe it’s time Kate sat down and watched her TV shows back to find out how everyone really feels about her. There’s a thought.

When the family tried their hand at archery, Kate was so desperately trying to play the cool mom role, but her kids were anything but impressed when it came to picking teams.

Hannah had the best response to the way Kate was trying to pick the teams.

“Mom, you’re trying to make this fun. But no one wants to be on your team, so this isn’t fun,” Hannah said.

Basically, the kids were talking about how bad Kate was at everything throughout the trip. It was sad, but Kate does act pretty juvenile at the best of times.

The only fun the kids seemed to have was when they were trashing their mother and that’s pretty sad.

At one point, Kate even had to eat alone. She put it down to her having sore ears, but something tells me the kids just wanted a break from her complaining at them for the slightest thing.

At the end, Kate recapped the trip and acted like it was the best thing since sliced bread. Yeah, we believe you, Kate!

What did you think of the trip?

The Voice Results: Who Won Season 11?!

Hundreds auditioned. Dozens were chosen. Twelve lasted until the live playoffs. Four made the season 11 finale and sang for their lives.

Only one could be named The Voice.

With the title up for grabs, it was clear going into this finale that the competition was really between Billy Gilman and Sundance Head.

Their performances on Monday night solidified why they deserved to be in the final, while the other two kind of floundered. There really was no competition between the four.

It’s just a shame that the final included two people that should not have been there in the first place. There were so many other deserving people that should have been there.

It sucks when there’s a final that you can call before it even airs. It really takes the element of surprise out of the whole thing.

Either way, let’s run down the results…

Fourth Place

Josh Gallagher

Third Place

Wé McDonald

Second Place

Billy Gilman

First Place

Sundance Head

Yes, you guys, Sundance managed to eke out the victory over Billy. Sundance previously appeared on American Idol Season 6, so it’s clear he’s been in the singing business a long time.

It’s great that after all these years he managed to win and show the world what he was made of.

Congratulations, Sundance Head!

Another key development in the finale was the one that Miley Cyrus is continuing to work with Ali Caldwell and Aaron Gibson.

Say what you want about the pop diva, but the fact she is continuing to help out the talent even after they have left the show is pretty amazing.

Going into this season of The Voice, it was either going to go really well, or really bad for her.

Sure, she did not have an act in the final, but she showed off a side to herself that no one had ever witnessed.

The Spring edition of the show will be very different without her, and we can’t wait until next Fall when she shows back up.

That’s another season of The Voice in the can. What did you think of the winner?
