As previously reported, Kylie Jenner Cosmetics is a complete failure.
But that isn’t stopping the teenager from expanding her beauty empire.
Following many weeks of hype and build-up, Jenner revealed via a video on her official app yesterday that she is no longer just in the lip kit business.
She is also coming out with her first eye shadow palette.
“Surprise, I’m launching a Kyshadow* palette!!!” Jenner wrote in an accompanying article, adding:
“I’ve been working on this for months and I’m so excited to finally reveal the big news to you guys.
“Check out this exclusive video of me introducing my new eyeshadow palette – and then watch Ariel Tejada do my glam with it!”
(*Yes, the product really is called Kyshadow.)
In the following footage, we see the beautifully illustrated palette in all its close-up glory.
The front depicts a pair of eyes that appears to be a lot like those of Kylie; except these are dripping glamorous, metallic tears.
Inside the case are nine bronze shades that many people may have seen before, most notably those who check out Kylie Jenner Instagram photos on a regular basis.
“I really want to tell people that I’ve been using this every single day,” she says. “I’ve been using this palette every day for the past five or six months.”
Early on in the video, Jenner says the product is “literally my baby.”
So we guess those Kylie Jenner pregnant rumors were right after all!
The 18-year old goes on to say that she believes releasing this set of hues first was “so important” because she favors bronze and brown shades. She really hopes her fans feel the same.
However, Kylie also revealed that there are two more palettes coming before the end of the year.
It’s easy to mock Kylie for this business endeavor, especially after the Better Business Bureau just gave her company an F for the Kylie Jenner lip kit.
However, the sad truth is that consumers continue to purchase items sponsored by the Kardashians-Jenner or promoted by the Kardashian-Jenners.
Heck, Kim Kardashian is on the cover of the latest Forbes magazine.
We don’t get it. And it makes us very sad to think about it.
But millions upon millions of young folks around the country think Kylie Jenner is some kind of beauty authority.
She definitely knows HOW to put on makeup (as depicted below), but it’s unclear why you should pad her bank account by purchasing anything from her poorly-run business.
