Holy $hit! This is the Most Violent Play in Sports History!

Good news, Zaza Pachulia.

You are no longer the dirtiest person playing basketball these days.

Not by a long shot.

Not after what transpired on Tuesday night in a game between Division III teams Fitchburg State and Nichols.

The schools were playing in Massachusetts and everything was going along as it normally does during the course of a basketball game when Nichols guard Nate Tenaglia received a pass in the corner.

He was open, so he fired off a three-pointer.

Just as he releases the ball, however, Fitchburg junior guard Kewan Platt comes flying out of nowhere and DRILLS Tenaglia.

We"re not just talking about some kind of regular hard foul, either.

We"re talking about a flat-out punch to the face, something that lands far outside the realm of a basketball play and into the realm of… illegal activity?

Yes, many on social media (including Michael Rapaport) are calling for Platt to be arrested.

Watch the video here and you"ll immediately see where these folks are coming from.

Tenaglia was able to return to the game and is reportedly doing fine.

But Fitchburg State has suspended Platt and barred him from campus for an unspecified amount of time.

It has also released this statement:

"The Fitchburg State community is appalled by the conduct displayed during Tuesday night’s home basketball game.

"His behavior is antithetical to our community values and good sportsmanship. Fitchburg State does not tolerate behavior that violates those standards.

"The case is being reviewed at the student conduct level for consideration of further sanctions."

We don"t even have a joke to conclude with here.

This foul is just flat out insane.

Watch it for yourself now.

Priest Slaps Crying Baby, Internet Flips Its $hit

Well, this is quite disturbing.

We never thought we"d write that about a video that features a priest and a baptism… but here we are.

Footage of a priest slapping – yes, SLAPPING – a crying baby during a baptism has made its way around the Internet, sparking the sort of outrage you"d expect when, it bears repeating…

… there"s footage of a PRIEST SLAPPING A CRYING BABY.

The YouTube video was initially shared on Reddit with a caption that reads what we just wrote: “A priest slaps an infant during his baptism.”

On Reddit, the user wrote: “this happened today in France, I’m really shocked.”

Well, yeah!

Who would not be?!?

In the 43-second video that we"ve shared above, the unnamed priest is shown holding the child’s tear-filled face as the boy sits in a woman’s arms.

We assume this woman is a loved one.

The priest looks like he"s trying to comfort the young kid… until, in the middle of the video, the man of God is shown slapping the child across his cheek.

There"s certainly no other way to interpret what we"re seeing here.

The boy"s parents react to this violent act with stunned expressions, as their son starts to scream even more.

We then see the priest pulling the child closer as a woman, who appears to be a church official, briefly approaches him.

"I saw this video on Facebook and I cried," wrote one Twitter user in response, adding:

"I was filled with anger and sadness. If I was the mother of that baby I wouldn’t hesitate to push or slapped the damn priest back!! I don’t care what he is!!"

At one point, the infant struggles in the priest’s arms, prompting a man nearby to forcibly remove the kid from the priest’s arms.

It"s just weird and wild and disturbing stuff all around.

"This child will be traumatized by [priests] now," wrote another grossed-out social media user.

“This is so scary and sickening, that baby knew that’s the devil in disguise,” another added. “That’s no priest.”

Ian Somerhalder Reunites with Paul Wesley, Vampire Diaries Fans Lose Any and All $hit

They may no longer star as brothers on the small screen…

… but Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley proved over the weekend that they are brothers in life.

Very, very, very handsome brothers in real life, we must add.

On Saturday, Wesley uploaded a photograph with his former co-star on Instagram Story, giving followers a look at him and Somerhalder hanging out during The Vampire Diaries and The Originals Official Convention in Nashville.

As you can see above, the sultry snapshot was accompanied by a single word:

REUNION.

For eight seasons, Wesley portrayed Stefan Salvatore and Somerhalder portrayed Damon Salvatore on The Vampire Diaries.

They were centuries-old blood suckers who loved the same women (Nina Dobrev’s Elena… and also Nina Dobrev’s Katherine) at various points in their long lives – but whose real love was for each other.

Indeed, the most interesting and sentimental relationship through the show’s impressive run on The CW took place between these siblings.

Away from the camera, Wesley, Somerhalder and their fellow cast members were known and respected for their enthusiastic fan interactions.

They were major attractions at Comic-Con every year the series attended that massive event in San Diego and they were both very engaging on social media.

Somerhalder, in particular, has never missed an opportunity to thank his supporters for sticking by him and the show, which came to an end in March of 2017.

For this reason, viewers went a bit overboard in their reactions to seeing Wesley and Somerhalder reunited in the photo above.

Case in point, from one Instagram users:

HOLY CRAP I CANT BREATHE!!! DAMON!!! STEFAN!!!!! IAN!!! PAUL!!!! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME!?!!? HELP IM DYING!!! MY POOR HEART ACHES!!!!

Elsewhere, here were a few sample reactions on Twitter:

paul and ian together

Since going their separate ways professionally, neither Wesley nor Somerhalder has starred in anything of note.

The former directed an episode of Shadowhunters last year, however, while the latter just finished filming a movie titled Time Framed.

Ian has also been quite busy in his personal life… considering he welcomed his first child into the world last July!!!!

How exciting, right?!?

Somerhalder and wife Nikki Reed are parents to a daughter named Bodhi.

We don’t know much else about her because her famous parents have chosen to keep the little one out of the spotlight, a decision we very much respect.

But if Ian is interested in making news in a different fashion any time soon, we have five words for him:

Paul. Wesley. Buddy. Cop. Movie.

Think about it, fellas.

Fergie: I Hallucinated Crazy $hit While on Crystal Meth!

In promotion of her first solo album in 11 years, Fergie has opened up in a new interview about her past drug use.

And the artist has held absolutely nothing back.

“At my lowest point, I was [suffering from] chemically induced psychosis and dementia,” Fergie tells the United Kingdon’s iNews about her use of crystal meth.

This was back in the early 2000s, she says.

“I was hallucinating on a daily basis. It took a year after getting off that drug for the chemicals in my brain to settle so that I stopped seeing things.

“I’d just be sitting there, seeing a random bee or bunny.”

Wow. That’s pretty crazy and intense.

Fergie also says her weight plummeted to around 90 pounds during this time.

The artist’s hallucinations became so serious, Fergie says candidly, that she believed the CIA, FBI and a SWAT team were following her around.

She eventually sought solace in a church, the only place she felt safe and protected.

But then she had a breakthrough that probably saved her life.

“I remember thinking: ‘If I walk outside, and the SWAT team’s out there, I was right all along.

“But if they’re not out there, then it’s the drugs making me see things and I’m going to end up in an institution.

“And if it really is the drugs, I don’t want to live my life like this any more, anyway.’

“I walked out of the church; obviously there was no SWAT team, it was just me in a parking lot. It was a freeing moment.”

Fergie admits the drugs were “a hell of a lot of fun” for a period.

Until, of course, they weren’t.

“It’s so incredible, I know. I think I must have guardian angels,” the singer says of simply being alive.

Prior to this honest spilling of very personal details, Fergie made news in September for her separation from Josh Duhamel.

The stars had been married for eight years when they made this announcement and they share a four-year old son, Axl.

Early on in this interview, Fergie says she’s proud of Duhamel for directing a new movie and says the pair tries to FaceTime with their child as often as possible when on the road.

They are clearly on solid terms.

Says the singer of her estranged husband and their priorities:

“I’ve just released my first solo album in 11 years, and I’m out promoting it. So there’s a lot going on.

“That’s why we wanted to find our footing with our separation before we announced it publicly: to make sure we really got it together for our kid.

“It’s a constant juggling act.”

Considering where she’s been in the past, though, it’s something we have no doubt Fergie can figure out and make work.

Just take a look at how far she’s come.

Lawrence O"Donnell Flips His $hit in Must-Watch Outtake

Lawrence O"Donnell may hold very different political beliefs than Bill O"Reilly.

But the two cable network hosts now have at least one thing in common.

Years after footage leaked online of O"Reilly flipping out over a few production issues ("F-ck it, we"ll do it live!" he famously screamed from behind his desk), O"Donnell has now apologized for an eight-minute long video that features him losing it on producers and colleagues.

“What’s going on, why am I losing this, why don’t I have sound,” the MSNBC host says early on. “Who’s asking for a Labor Day rundown in my ear?”

“God dammit,” he mutters shortly thereafter, shaking his head, prior to bursting into a brief spasm of fury and slamming his fists on the desk in front of him.

The profanity-laced rant was originally published on Mediaite and it depicts "The Last Word" anchor gesticulating wildly at times while also cursing at a person talking in his earpiece.

He later berates his staff for not getting the edits he wants in the script.

"There"s insanity in the control room tonight," O"Donnell says at one point, later adding through clenched teeth:

"You have insanity in my earpiece …. It"s not my earpiece, it"s somebody talking on our lines."

The portion that is getting quoted most often by Internet users, meanwhile, centers around a sound O"Donnell clearly does not want to hear in the background.

It"s messed him up big time.

"Somebody go up there and stop the hammering! I"ll go down to the … floor myself and stop it. Keep the … commercial break going," he shouts.

"I don"t care who you have to call. Stop the hammering!"

He veteran broadcaster eventually stands up and launches into a tirade past the camera.

"CALL FUCKING PHIL GRIFFIN, I DON’T CARE WHO THE F-CK YOU HAVE TO CALL. STOP THE HAMMERING. EMPTY OUT THE GODDAMNED CONTROL ROOM AND FIND OUT WHERE THIS IS GOING ON.”

After the lengthy piece of footage made its way around the Internet, O"Donnell jumped on Twitter to apologize.

"A better anchorman and a better person would"ve had a better reaction to technical difficulties. I"m sorry," he wrote on Wednesday night.

We have no idea why, though.

This was the best video we watched all week! No apology necessary!

Jodie Whittaker Announced as First-Ever Female Doctor Who; Sexist Internet Loses Its $hit

The new Doctor is in.

And the Internet is, naturally, very pissed off.

On Sunday morning, BBC and BBC America announced via video and via press release that Jodie Whittaker has been named the 13th person to be cast as the title character on Doctor Who.

It’s notable every time a new actor takes on this iconic role.

But it’s especially notable in Whittaker’s case because she’s an actress.

Yes, Jodie Whittaker is a woman. She’s the first woman to ever be cast as Doctor Who and she will officially take over for the departing Peter Capaldi on the Doctor Who Christmas special.

Said new head writer Chris Chibnall of the casting decision:

After months of lists, conversations, auditions, recalls, and a lot of secret-keeping, we’re excited to welcome Jodie Whittaker as the Thirteenth Doctor.

I always knew I wanted the Thirteenth Doctor to be a woman and we’re thrilled to have secured our number one choice. Her audition for The Doctor simply blew us all away.

Jodie is an in-demand, funny, inspiring, super-smart force of nature and will bring loads of wit, strength and warmth to the role.

The Thirteenth Doctor is on her way

whitaker

Whittaker, meanwhile, has the following to say:

I’m beyond excited to begin this epic journey – with Chris and with every Whovian on this planet.

It’s more than an honor to play the Doctor. It means remembering everyone I used to be, while stepping forward to embrace everything the Doctor stands for: hope. I can’t wait.

Whittaker is probably best known for having played Beth Latimer on the British crime show Broadchurch … where she co-starred opposite David Tennant, who previously played the lead role on Doctor Who.

She’s a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and appeared in the short film Wish 143.

It centered on a 15-year-old boy with cancer and it was nominated for Best Live-Action short at the 2011 Academy Awards.

Says Capaldi of the woman to whom he will be bequeathing this highly-sought-after part:

Anyone who has seen Jodie Whittaker’s work will know that she is a wonderful actress of great individuality and charm.

She has above all the huge heart to play this most special part. She’s going to be a fantastic Doctor.

Despite the positive reaction from those associated with the series, this is the World Wide Web.

A whole bunch of idiotic trolls out there are taking issue with the casting of a woman as Doctor Who (“What will be next, Jane Bond?” one of them asked), despite the fact that this is a time-traveling, shape-shifting alien with two hearts.

If you somehow think the Doctor’s gender has any impact on his or her realism, well… just keep that sexist and ridiculous opinion to yourself, okay?

Thankfully, the excitement on Twitter over Whittaker’s casting appears to be far louder than the criticism.

To wit:

who reaction

“The fact that there was so much interest in, quite literally, ‘Who?’ speaks volumes about the enduring power of the Doctor Who franchise around the world and for BBC AMERICA viewers,” says BBC President Sarah Barnett, concluding:

“We couldn’t be happier to welcome the remarkable Jodie Whittaker as a history making Thirteenth Doctor and look forward to the continuation of this story.”

What do YOU think of this casting choice?

SURI CRUISE LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE KATIE HOLMES! HOLY $HIT!

Forgive our excitement in the headline above.

But we think you’ll understand when it comes from in just a few moments…

The 38-year old actress took a trip to Florida over the weekend with her 11-year old daughter, sharing a few intimate looks on Instagram of both herself and little Suri

And it’s impossible to look at these images without having two thoughts:

  1. Suri is really all grown up now.

  2. SHE LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE HER MOTHER!

See, there we go again.

Prepare to react in equal shock over the doppleganger nature of mother and daughter, however, upon taking a look at the picture below.

“My sweetie #love #beach #gratitude,” Holmes wrote as caption to the image, which we really cannot get over.

We’ve never seen a celebrity child look so much like his or her famous parent.

Holmes has done an incredible job shielding Suri from the spotlight over the years, considering she was born to the actress and Tom Cruise back when their marriage was under heavy scrutiny.

To this day, people question the legitimacy of the Holmes-Cruise union and wonder whether it was arranged by the Church of Scientology.

Eventually, Holmes filed to divorce Cruise, taking sole custody of an adorable little girl that Cruise has reportedly not seen in years.

It’s hard not to think this has been to Suri’s advantage, though, as she’s had the chance to grow up under the supervision of only one, very responsible and loving parent.

Over the past several months, Holmes has given fans more glimpses behind the scenes of her life with Suri.

In March, for example, we reacted with the same sort of amazement as we’re experiencing now in checking out a different fun photo of Suri and Katie.

In November, Holmes reacted to Donald Trump’s stunning Presidential victory with a picture of her daughter and message for the masses.

“Strong little girls that will become strong women. Let’s keep fighting to make it a better world for our children,” Holmes wrote as a caption to a snapshot of Suri and a friend.

We couldn’t agree more with that sentiment.

Back in September, meanwhile, there was this precious picture of the star cradling her child:

This is what it means to be a parent who is truly there for his or her daughter.

Just in case you were wondering, Tom Cruise.

Suri actually turns 11 years old today, which may explain why Holmes turned all sentimental last week.

In sharing the following throwback photo of Suri, Holmes referred to her only kid as a “sweet angel” on Instagram.

We’d say it takes one to know one, Katie.

You’ve done an incredible job with Suri. Be proud.

Sugar Bear Reacts to June Shannon Weight Loss: HOLY $HIT!!!!!

We"ve documented some impressive feats of celebrity weight loss over the years.

Al Roker, John Goodman and Jonah Hill come to mind.

Simply put, however, we"ve never seen a body transformation before quite like that of June Shannon.

And it"s clear we aren"t alone.

In the following clip from this Friday’s Mama June: From Not to Hot, the former Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star heads to her ex-home in McIntyre, Georgia to flaunt her new figure for ex-husband Sugar Bear.

(The couple split in September of 2014 and share custody of Alana Thompson.)

Shannon’s personal trainer, Kenya Crooks, and her daughters come along for support.

“Just being back in McIntrye brings back a lot of bad memories. People who haven’t seen me in a couple of years are going to be shocked,” Shannon tells the camera, adding:

“Like, what the f-ck am I doing here?

"That’s the house that I used to live in with the kids when Alana was little. Yeah, they did a lot of work to the house and it looks better, but it’s still the same damn house. That house doesn’t serve good memories.”

Shannon then spots Sugar Bear and says she"s "nervous."

How will he react to the woman in front of him?

The following clip then depicts Shannon’s legs as she exits the car in a long red dress, along with Sugar Bear’s reaction in a confessional.

"Oh, sh-t," he says.

Shannon formerly weighed approximately 460 pounds; then she underwent gastric sleeve surgery and stuck to an intense diet and exercise regimen to slim WAY down.

She also endured several plastic surgeries, including excess skin removal on her neck and arms, along with a tummy tuck and a boob job.

Check out the season finale sneak peek below, courtesy of Entertainment Tonight, now!

Selena Gomez: Instagram Made Me Feel Like $hit!

Selena Gomez is the undisputed Queen of Instagram.

This is not mere opinion.

The singer ended 2016 as the Most-Liked individual on this social media platform, while she was also featured in 8 of the top 10 most popular Instagram photos last year.

Those are quite the impressive accomplishments.

But heavy is the head that wears this crown.

So explains Gomez in the latest issue of Vogue.

“As soon as I became the most followed person on Instagram, I sort of freaked out,” Selena tells the magazine, explaining further:

“It had become so consuming to me. It’s what I woke up to and went to sleep to. I was an addict, and it felt like I was seeing things I didn’t want to see, like it was putting things in my head that I didn’t want to care about.”

Sort of fascinating, right?

And also understandable? How this sort of thing can take over someone’s life?

“I always end up feeling like shit when I look at Instagram,” the 24-year-old admits. “Which is why I’m kind of under the radar, ghosting it a bit.”

How did Selena go about solving this problem and improving her mental health in the process?

She actually deleted the app from her phone and says she doesn’t know the password for her account.

It’s true; her assistant now posts on her behalf.

The decision to step away from the spotlight a bit came after Gomez entered treatment in 2016, which wasn’t for addiction, burnout or an eating disorder.

She sort of just needed a break.

“People so badly wanted me to be authentic, and when that happened, finally, it was a huge release. I’m not different from what I put out there,” she says.

“I’ve been very vulnerable with my fans, and sometimes I say things I shouldn’t. But I have to be honest with them. I feel that’s a huge part of why I’m where I am.”

The artist, who previously spent two weeks at a rehab facility in 2014 for Lupus, chose to seek additional help after canceling her Revival tour last summer.

“Tours are a really lonely place for me,” she tells Vogue.

“My self-esteem was shot. I was depressed, anxious. I started to have panic attacks right before getting onstage, or right after leaving the stage. Basically I felt I wasn’t good enough, wasn’t capable.

“I felt I wasn’t giving my fans anything, and they could see it – which, I think, was a complete distortion.

“I was so used to performing for kids.”

Gomez is back in the news because she’s dating The Weeknd.

But she doesn’t address that romance in this interview.

Here’s a look at other topics she does touch on, however:

The psychiatric treatment she received last year: “You have no idea how incredible it felt to just be with six girls, real people who couldn’t give two shits about who I was, who were fighting for their lives. It was one of the hardest things I’ve done, but it was the best thing I’ve done.”

Dialectical Behavior Therapy: “DBT has completely changed my life. I wish more people would talk about therapy. We girls, we’re taught to be almost too resilient, to be strong and sexy and cool and laid-back, the girl who’s down. We also need to feel allowed to fall apart.”

Her Disney Past: “I worked with Disney for four years. It’s a very controlled machine. They know what they represent, and there was, 100 percent, a way to go about things…

“For a guy there’s a way to rebel that can work for you. But for a woman, that can backfire. It’s hard not to be a cliché, the child star gone wrong. I did respect my fans and what I had, but I was also figuring out what I was passionate about and how far I was willing to go.”

Fame: “I’m a late bloomer. I grew up around adults, but in terms of getting out, having friends. At times I really didn’t know anything but my job… My mom gave up her whole life for me. Where we’re from, you don’t really leave. So when I started gaining all this success, there was a guilt that came with it. I thought, Do I deserve this?”

The Downfalls of Fame: “I think seventeen people have my phone number right now. Maybe two are famous Look, I love what I do, and I’m aware of how lucky I am, but, how can I say this without sounding weird?

“I just really can’t wait for people to forget about me.”
