Prince Harry & Meghan Markle: Did They Get Engaged in Africa?!

Even though a woman who claims to commune with the ghost of Princess Diana says the late royal doesn’t approve of Meghan Markle, it seems Prince Harry is moving full-steam ahead in his relationship.

We know it’s hard to believe he would ignore the words of a crazy lady who’s been yammering to the British tabloids, but sources close to the Harry say he proposed to Meghan during a recent trip to Africa.

Earlier this month, the couple embarked on a safari in Botswana in order to celebrate Meghan’s birthday.

Africa has long been a place of tremendous emotional signficance for Harry, as he and his brother found solace their following the death of their mother.

Harry and Meghan have been together for almost a year, and engagement rumors have been flying since day one.

There’s been no official word from Buckingham Palace yet, but the UK’s Daily Star assures its readers that the engagement is a done deal.

But don’t go looking for a ring on Meghan’s finger anytime soon.

Apparently, she and Harry have chosen a different symbol for their commitment to one another.

A source tells the Star that Harry gifted Meghan with a special Zulu betrothal bracelet in lieu of an engagement ring.

It seems that for the past several months, Harry and Meghan have both been wearing a different set of matching Zulu beads.

“He has always felt close to Diana in Africa and it was she who taught him about the meaning of the tribal beads as she spent so much time there,” an insider tells the tabloid.

“Harry feels like he can be himself in Africa and the whole proposal was the private, free and expressive moment he had hoped for – made all the more so by keeping it as ‘their secret’ for a few weeks

We guess if you just invited someone to join the royal family, giving them a bigass diamond on top of it is almost redundant.

Anyway, Harry still needs the Queen’s permission to make the engagement official, but we doubt she’d put up much of a fuss.

In fact, she’s at that age where someone probably just parks in front of a TV blaring reruns of Suits for most of the day, so she probably feels like she’s known Meghan for years.

These “only old people watch Suits” jokes doing anything for you guys?

Well, we’re stick with ‘em, anyway!

Prince William Visits Ex-Girlfriend Jecca Craig In Africa! Kate Middleton "FURIOUS?"

Everybody CALM. DOWN.

The Duke of Cambridge is attending friend Jecca Craig’s wedding in Kenya, while the Duchess of Cambridge stays behind in England with their two children.

This piece of news has the makings of tabloid fodder, since it’s speculated that William and Craig – whose father owns the wildlife conservancy, Lewa Downs – dated when they were teenagers and even staged a “pretend engagement” during William’s gap year in 2000.

William’s relationship with the Craigs is so good that  he even missed his cousin, Peter Phillips’ 2008 wedding to attend that of Craig’s older brother, Batian (Catherine represented him at the nuptials back in England).

Kensington Palace confirmed that the prince was making a private trip to Kenya, which also included a meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta to discuss “defence and security, and conservation.”

Celebrity Dirty Laundry, of course, thinks William has fooled around with Craig a few times behind Catherine’s back, even going so far as to compare her to the Duchess of Cornwall when she and Prince Charles carried on an affair while he was married to the late Princess of Wales.

Craig and the Cambridges are part of a large circle of friends, and have been photographed at the same weddings (Craig is the brunette in the photo above; she and Holly Branson, another one of the Cambridge’s friends, attended the 2013 wedding of Lady Melissa Percy and Thomas van Straubenzee).

It’s believed William is due back in the UK on Easter Sunday, but CDL speculates that he “begged” the Queen for an excuse to go to Kenya to avoid spending the holiday with Carole Middleton.

It might seem odd that Catherine didn’t accompany William to the wedding, but it’s been reported that she’d like to spend as much time with Prince George and Princess Charlotte before her and William’s official trip to India and Bhutan in April.

Her Royal Highness has also been known to miss friends’ weddings in order to be with her children, but let’s all just assume the worst and blame William “abandoning” his family for Craig.

Mos Def: ARRESTED in South Africa for Using a "World Passport"

The rapper formerly known as Mos Def was arrested in South Africa after trying to leave the country on a “world passport.”

Unfortunately for Mos, who now goes by Yasiin Bey, this world passport thing was not recognized by authorities.

As a result of these actions, Bey is now banned from South Africa for five years and has two weeks to leave the country.

However, a spokesman for Bey told OkayAfrica that the world passport is a legitimate document and that the allegations lodged against him are bogus.

He issued a statement that read:

“From what I’ve read their allegations are wrong. He attempted to leave the country for a professional commitment and was denied the ability to board an airplane after providing his World Passport.

“It’s issued by the World Service —in support of the UN Declaration of Human Rights.

“His understanding is that the South African government has previously accepted the World Passport to enter the country and to provide visas as recently as August.”

Although Bey has a U.S. passport, he chose not to use it for social and political reasons.

“He considers himself a world citizen and wanted to to use his World Passport in support of the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights.”

Bey was trying to board a plane to travel to Ethiopia to perform in the Selam Music Festival.

The entertainer, who was popular in the 90s and appeared in films like The Italian Job and The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, entered the country on an American passport in 2013 and overstayed his visitor’s permit in 2014.
