Tyler Baltierra Opens Up About Bipolar Disorder, Sticks It to Haters

Last week, Tyler Baltierra flaunted his weight loss by posting a thirst trap. But he’s been making improvements in more than just his physical health.

Tyler has bipolar disorder, which presents a number of mental health hurdles that he has had to overcome.

In a new post, he lays out his description of the highs and lows of bipolar disorder — and he has some choice words for his haters.

Tyler’s poetry about mental illness is not a new thing to Teen Mom fans, but this time, he is really spelling out how bipolar disorder puts him in a precarious state.

“Bi Polar is like dancing on the edge of a cliff,” Tyler writes ina  post shared to social media.

Bipolar disorder, formerly referred to as manic depression, involves oscillations between extremes.

“The good moods are full of endless euphoric adrenaline,” Tyler says.

Those good moods — manic episodes — can lead a person to act impulsively to follow their bliss without thought for repercussions.

“But the bad moods,” Tyler writes with poetic flare. “Cause a reclusive crash with an abusive rift.”

Tyler Baltierra Pens Poetry About Bipolar Disorder

The bad moods are when one is bogged down with depression and may feel that they’ll never again know happiness or joy.

Continuing his poem, Tyler writes that these bad moods take place “when there’s just too much emotions to go through & sift.”

“Which,” Tyler continues. “Makes you trip down a long hard fall when you slip.”

Though the highs of bipolar disorder feel better than the lows, both can be harmful to a person’s life.

“After you lose that grip once that adrenaline filled dance inevitably makes you tip,” Tyler explains.

After the poem, Tyler extended his message.

“I am not my diagnosis,” Tyler affirms.

That is an important distinction. With medication, he is still himself — but in a better state of mind.

Tyler’s positive statements continue: “I am in control of my perceptions and my reactions.”

Finally, he adds a tag: “#PoetryIsMyBrainsFreedom”

Tyler Baltierra fan replies 01

Tyler chose to highlight positive responses that he has received, sharing them to Instagram with a message.

“Just a reminder to all the haters out there…” Tyler begins.

For the record, he does get a few very vocal, nasty trolls. They question whether he even has bipolar disorder and ask intrusive, invasive questions demanding that he “prove” his diagnosis.

“For every ONE negative ignorant opinion about my poetry,” Tyler announces. “There is more than DOUBLE the positive ones from these amazing people who are impacted by it”

The negative comments can turn very nasty. It’s good that he has some positive feedback, too.

“They’re the reason I share it in the first place,” Tyler explains. “So keep on hating or keep on scrolling, but that will NEVER change the fact that it’s touching people’s hearts & that’s what truly matters anyway.”

“To all of my supporters,” Tyler concludes. “I love you & can’t thank you enough, you are AMAZING.”

Tyler Baltierra fan replies 02

Tyler posted a follow-up message regarding the hate that he receives.

“What’s ironic to me, is that everyone thinks I’m this depressed, unstable, ‘moping in my own self pity’ kind of guy.”

Tyler explains that they assume this “just because I have been venting my vulnerable feelings through words, but that’s just my escape.”

Self-expression through art is cathartic and healthy.

“It’s just a place to put them,” Tyler explains of his feelings. “So they have a different home to belong to instead of on the shoulders of my spirit through life.”

Tyler announces: “I’m actually the happiest I have been in a very long time!!!”

Tyler Baltierra: I Suffer From Bipolar Disorder

For much of the past two years, Catelynn Lowell’s struggle with mental illness has been documented by Teen Mom OG camera crews.

Lowell has been commended for her bravery in being so honest about her difficulties, and many have heaped praise on her husband, Tyler Baltierra, for his endless support of his struggling wife.

Now, Tyler is opening up about his own mental health issues, and like Catelynn, he’s sharing details about his battle in hopes of diminishing damaging stigmas encouraging fans to seek help when they need it.

Baltierra revealed on Twitter this week that he’s been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

In a series of candid tweets, Tyler revealed that he initially planned to keep his diagnosis a secret, but was encouraged by his wife to go public with his struggle.

“Honestly, I wasn’t even planning on releasing that info, but once Cate mentioned about my recent diagnosis, I figured “what the hell!?” the 26-year-old tweeted.

“Like why am I so against telling anyone!? It’s actually been a little easier to digest since I have been talking about it more,” he added.

Asked if he plans to seek a pharmaceutical solution, Baltierra reveals that he has not yet decided on a course of treatment:

“Well tbh it’s still so new to me,” he wrote.

“So, I’ve been doing non-stop research on the diagnosis, the different remedies to combat symptoms, & how to better understand it. I did refuse medication, but only because I wanted to try all of the natural remedies first. It’s a journey,”

It seems the diagnosis did not come as a total shock to Tyler, who has long suspected he may suffer from a mental illness.

“He mentioned in the past that he thought that maybe he suffered from bipolar disorder, but he wasn’t sure,” a source explained to Radar Online.

“He’s talked about his mood going from super funny and goofy, which he’s known for, to his depressive phases. That was a red flag for him.”

It’s unclear if Tyler’s mental illness will be addressed on future episodes of Teen Mom OG.

But for now, Baltierra is doing his fans a great service by opening up about his condition on social media.

Mariah Carey Opens Up About Bipolar Disorder

Over the years, Mariah Carey has been the source of many rumors, related both to her personality and her lifestyle in general.

Did you hear, for example, that she may have been involved in a Satanic sex cult as a child?

In the latest issue of People Magazine, however, the legendary artist separates at least one fact from whatever fiction may or may not be out there about her.

Carey admits that she has been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder.

This illness can mean many things to the individual who is afflicted with it, but it is most generally associated with episodes of mood swings, ranging from depressive lows to manic highs.

Carey tells People Editor-in-Chief Jess Cagle that she was actually diagnosed way back in 2001 – when she was hospitalized for a physical and mental breakdown – but “didn’t want to believe it” at the time.

Mariah then expounded:

“Until recently I lived in denial and isolation and in constant fear someone would expose me.

“It was too heavy a burden to carry and I simply couldn’t do that anymore.

“I sought and received treatment, I put positive people around me and I got back to doing what I love: writing songs and making music.”

Carey, of course, has always been known for having an eccentric personality.

She’s been considered high-maintenance and very demanding.

The word diva has often been thrown around across the Internet.

It’s also worth noting that Carey is one successful solo artist of all time.

She has a whopping 18 number-one hits to her name and more than 200 million records sold.

And yet she has been suffering from this disorder for nearly two decades, in relative silence, at least when it comes to public perception.

The singer says she’s currently in therapy and taking medication for bipolar II disorder, which involves periods of depression as well as hypomania.

People writes that this is  “less severe than the mania associated with bipolar I disorder, but can still cause irritability, sleeplessness and hyperactivity.”

Mariah is also in the studio these days, working on an album that she hopes to release toward the end of 2018.

“For a long time I thought I had a severe sleep disorder,” she explains.

“But it wasn’t normal insomnia and I wasn’t lying awake counting sheep.

“I was working and working and working … I was irritable and in constant fear of letting people down.

“It turns out that I was experiencing a form of mania. Eventually I would just hit a wall. I guess my depressive episodes were characterized by having very low energy.

“I would feel so lonely and sad – even guilty that I wasn’t doing what I needed to be doing for my career.”

Why has she come forward now, after all this time?

“I’m just in a really good place right now, where I’m comfortable discussing my struggles with bipolar II disorder. I’m hopeful we can get to a place where the stigma is lifted from people going through anything alone. It can be incredibly isolating.

“It does not have to define you and I refuse to allow it to define me or control me.”

For more on Mariah Carey and her battle with bipolar disorder, dealing with fame and raising twins, pick up the latest issue of People.

It goes on sale Friday, April 13.

Demi Lovato Shares Swimsuit Pic, Addresses Eating Disorder

When it comes to showing off her cleavage, it’s clear Demi Lovato has no issue.

Seriously, no… issue… at… all.

But the artist makes it clear in a new Instagram caption that she does sometimes feel self-conscious about a different body part.

On Thursday, the 25-year-old singer opened up about the ongoing challenges of recovering from an eating disorder, along with the constant feelings of doubt she often has about her appearance.

But which she is trying her hardest to overcome.

Along with the following picture, Lovato wrote this caption:

“So, I’m insecure about my legs in this picture but I’m posting it because I look so happy and this year I’ve decided I’m letting go of my perfectionism and embracing freedom from self criticism.”

Lovato, of course, has long been very candid about her past struggle with a drug addiction and also with anorexia.

She’s come a long way.

But her battle will never really be over.

Continued Lovato in her latest inspiring message:

“Learning to love my body the way it is is challenging but life changing.

“Giving up my eating disorder has been the most challenging journey of my life but I work every day towards solid recovery even if I mess up sometimes.”

In conclusion:

“Today I’m feeling strong. You all can do it too. It IS possible. Thank you God for this new chapter in my life. #EDrecovery #happyAF.”

We’ve long admired Demi not just for overcoming her own demons, but for speaking out so often about them in an attempt to help others as well.

In October, for instance, Lovato shared a couple before-and-after photos that made it apparent just how well she is doing these days.

The singer also admits to having bipolar disorder, but she doesn’t want to be defined by it.

She said the following three months ago in the documentary Simply Complicated, discussing her eating disorder:

“I don’t want to give it the power that it controls my every thought but it’s something that I’m constantly thinking about.

“Body image, what I wish I could be eating, what I wish I could be eating next, what I wish I didn’t eat, you know it’s just constant.

“I get envious towards people who don’t struggle with an eating disorder because I think my life would be so much easier.”

We continue to wish Lovato the best.

Demi Lovato Shares Incredible Before-and-After Eating Disorder Pics

Demi Lovato has a very important message to send to young fans.

Or to anyone, really.

The singer is in the news these days because she just came out with an especially personal documentary on YouTube.

It’s titled “Simply Complicated” and it delves into nearly every aspect of the artist’s life, from her past drug use to her most famous relationship to her struggle with bulimia.

This has been well-documented, of course.

Lovato has never been shy about her substance abuse issues or her eating disorder.

Along those lines, Demi just shared a pair of pretty amazing, contrasting photos on Instagram.

On the left is what Lovato looked like back before she received professional help… on the right is what she looks like now.

“Recovery is Possible,” she wrote as a caption.

Wow, right?

In the aforementioned documentary, Lovato opens way up about her battle with her eating disorder, explaining how her June 2016 split from boyfriend of six years Wilmer Valderrama caused her to fall back into past struggles.

“When I was in a relationship with Wilmer, I went three years without purging and when we broke up that’s one of the first things I did,” she confesses, expounding as follows:

“The less I have to think about food, the easier it is to go about having a normal life and I don’t want to let anybody down, so when I do have moments when I slip up, I feel very ashamed.

“What started the relapse was missing Wilmer. And when I feel lonely my heart feels hungry and I end up binging.”

It doesn’t get much more candid than that, does it?

Lovato also talks about how her battle with food started at a young age.

“I would bake cookies for my family and I would eat all of them and nobody would have any to eat. That was my first memory of food being that medicine for me,” she said.

“Food is still the biggest challenge in my life and it controls…

“I don’t want to give it the power to say it controls my every thought, but it’s something that I’m constantly thinking about.”

It’s a never-ending, all-consuming issue, Demi explains:

“Body image, what I’m going to eat next, what I wish I could be eating, what I wish I didn’t eat. It’s just constant.

“Like I get envious toward people that don’t struggle with an eating disorder just because I feel like my life would be so much easier.”

How does Lovato keep it under control?

What does she do to remain as healthy as possible?

“The gym really helps and I know that I would be in a very dark place without it.

“Anytime I’m able to take my mind off of any of my addictions, it’s very beneficial to me. Working out is a form of meditation for me because I’m not focused on anything in my head.

“It can transport you to a totally different place.”

We salute Demi Lovato for not only overcoming her personal demons… but for opening up in such a way that she can hopefully help others overcome theirs, as well.

Aaron Carter: I Have an Eating Disorder, Leave Me Alone!

It’s been a bit of a week for Aaron Carter, hasn’t it?

On Saturday night, he was arrested in Georgia for a DUI and drug possession, and it seems like he’s been on the verge of a breakdown ever since.

It’s actually been really, really hard to watch.

Earlier this week, Aaron did a lengthy interview with Entertainment Tonight to talk about the DUI and more — for instance, he explained that he wasn’t drunk when he was arrested.

He said that local police got a call that he was driving recklessly, but it was because the alignment was off on his car. He drove to an AutoZone to figure out the issue, and that’s where he was arrested.

It seems far-fetched, but some reports have specified that his arrest was actually for a DUI refusal, meaning that there was reason to suspect he was driving under the influence but he refused any testing.

So hey, he could be telling the truth.

Aaron also claimed that he doesn’t even drink, and that he only smokes the marijuana he was found with for anxiety and to help increase his appetite.

And speaking of his appetite …

In new excerpts from Aaron’s interview, he gets into his appearance and the alarming amount of body shaming he faces on a daily basis.

He says that the reason he’s so thin is because of a hiatal hernia, which he’s mentioned before, but that he also suffers from an eating disorder, which he calls a “stress condition.”

Just when you thought Aaron Carter’s story couldn’t get any sadder …

“I have a stress condition of an 80-year-old man,” he explains. “I am also lactose intolerant.”

He says that he weighs around 135 to 140 pounds and that he’s 5’8″, and his doctors have advised him to “avoid stress, because I can develop cancer.”

He doesn’t get into much detail about his health, but he does explain at length how all the criticism about his appearance makes him feel.

“How would you feel every two seconds, seeing a tweet, ‘You have AIDS. Go die. Oh, look at this meth head. Oh, meth kills. Crack kills,"” he asks, giving an example of the messages he receives.

“It’s body shaming and it’s the toughest thing to deal with.”

“I am not a meth head,” he adds. “I have never touched it in my life.”

He even shows off his teeth and his skin as proof, and he’s right — he doesn’t look like he’s on meth.

He just looks very, very thin.

The poor guy says it “hurts so bad” to even look in a mirror these days, because “there’s nothing I can do about it.”

He’s so insecure about his appearance that he gets fillers in his face, just to plump things up a little bit.

When asked what he would say to his haters if he could, he broke down in tears, crying “I’m sorry. I am sorry for the way that I look.”

Thankfully, Aaron says that he’s going to a training camp soon, and that he hopes to get healthier there — and he asked people to “Give me a break so I can look better, so I can eat.”

He even says that a lot of men have been reaching out to him to thank him for opening up about his issues with weight, because with celebrities, it’s usually just women who talk about body image.

“The difference,” he theorizes, “is men are a lot more prideful. We don’t want to admit it. I don’t want to admit I don’t look good.”

But it does seem like he’s on the right track now.

Troian Bellisario: NO ONE Understood My Eating Disorder!

Troian Bellisario has a film coming out, so she’s making the usual rounds — which means that we all get to read interviews from this very intelligent actress.

She actually wrote Feed in addition to starring in it, probably because she’s amazing. Her costar is Tom Felton, either because he’s talented or because he’s every Millennial’s fantasy costar — you decide.

He’s kind of been everywhere lately, from the first season of Murder In The First to the latest season of The Flash. It sounds like his role in Feed is kind of a weird one, because it sounds like kind of a weird movie.

Not as weird as the 2005 film of the same name, which was about cannibalism and forced-feeding … though that kind of brings us to the upsetting subject brought up during Troian’s interview.

Troian’s spoken about her battle with an eating disorder in the past, but now she’s sharing something new about it.

“There was this emptiness in me that I wanted to, not fill, but engage,” she tells Interview of how her eating disorder fueled her early drive to act.

“I felt like there was a story in me that hadn’t been told, and it was a very personal story.”

Unfortunately, eating disorders are complex to experience and almost impossible to explain to people who have never had them.

“I couldn’t get anyone — even the people who loved me the most, even my boyfriend or my mother or my father — to understand what that experience was truly like for me.”

She must have felt so isolated by that — which, even after the fact, can be damaging.

“It was about my eating disorder, and I found that there were so many people who thought that it was about losing weight or being skinny.”

A lot of people, even in this day and age, think of eating disorders as just, like, extreme dieting. Eating disorders come in a variety of forms with their own pernicious quirks, but none of them are healthy and none of them are really about bikini season.

“I couldn’t quite get them to understand that it was about control on a very, very literal level.”

That struggle still informs her passion for storytelling, as an actress and as a writer. Sometimes you gotta take your experiences and use them as fuel.

Good for her for speaking out about it.

Don’t get us wrong — somebody’s eating disorder is nobody’s business but their own. But when you speak out about it, especially when you have a platform like Troian does, you can help change people’s lives.

Maybe someone reads her interview and seeks help for themselves. Or maybe just someone understands what a loved one went through.

Pretty Little Liars dealt with eating disorders as early as the first season, which is all that we watched, because that season alone was enough to take over our lives and literally haunt our dreams.

It was good but it was just … so much. Also, we binged it in a week.

But Ashley Benson’s character was, at one point during that season, blackmailed into wolfing down a set of cupcakes. Which might sound like the opposite of a problem, but her character had an eating disorder and it was a problem.

In real life, eating disorders can have devastating consequences.

People die. Some of them are teenagers, and some of them are young adults.

Some of them aren’t even teens yet — there are tweens and younger who battle with issues of control and self-image. This can be because of parental pressure or just a response to major life stresses.

It’s so not the same as skipping a meal every now and then because you’re busy or because you want to fit into a certain outfit.

Troian, of course, is doing so much better these days. Troian’s slender beauty may always be the case — body frames are determined more by genetics than anything else.

Eating disorders can be a special challenge for celebrities.

Special, if not necessarily worse. Celebrities can face more body-shaming than other people, because of course they do.

That means magazines, photographers, directors, and social media.

On the other hand, celebrities tend to have the resources to seek help. Not everybody does.

It’s always the worst on isolated young people who don’t even know where to turn or how to describe what they’re experiencing.

But look at her now — writing feature films and also starring in them, like a boss.

Feed sounds kind of weird from what we’ve read, and it might have some sort of twincesty vibe. But weird movies can be the best.

And it sounds super interesting.

Writers draw from their own experiences to tell stories, and that can manifest in ways that you wouldn’t expect.

You can bet that the unhealthy obsessions in Feed were in some way informed by Troian’s own experiences. Even if she never had a, like, psychic twin connection followed by a tragic death.

Johnny Depp Suffers From "Compulsive Spending Disorder," Lawsuit Claims

We’ve all experienced the morning-after remorse that comes with a night of wild Amazon splurging.

But while you might still regret dropping 300 bucks on that thing that was supposed to sculpt your abs while you sleep, at least you can take comfort in the knowledge that you never spent as recklessly as Johnny Depp.

In case you haven’t heard, word on the street is that Depp is basically broke these days.

We’re not saying you’re gonna see him munching on a mayonnaise sandwich at the social services office any time soon, but the man is not nearly as well off as he should be or once was.

The news of Depp’s relative broke-assness comes courtesy of an increasingly contentious lawsuit involving the actor and his former management group, TMG.

Back in February, Depp sued TMG claiming that they’d mishandled his funds and brought him to the brink of near bankruptcy.

The firm fired back in a countersuit, calling Depp a “habitual liar” who knowingly blew his fortune on bizarre luxury items.

The war of words continued with a fiery Wall Street Journal interview in which Depp defended his spending habits, telling the newspaper, “If I want to buy 15,000 cotton balls a day, it’s my thing.”

TMG claims that Depp’s actual spending was not all that much more practical.

The group says Depp’s lifestyle cost him $ 2 million a month “which he simply could not afford.”

The actor allegedly spent more than $ 75 million on real estate in the span of a few years, dropping large sums of cash to acquire or improve an astonishing 14 residences, including a string of islands in the Bahamas and a 45-acre chateau in the South of France.

In recently filed documents, TMG execs claim they “did everything possible to protect Depp from his own irresponsible and profligate spending.”

In a statement issued today, TMG’s attorney, Michael Kump, had this to say about Depp:

“In retrospect, it appears that Depp may suffer from a compulsive spending disorder, which will be proven in this action through a mental examination.”

Depp’s attorney, Adam Waldman, commented on Kump’s allegation of compulsive spending, stating simply, “This is how guilty people respond.”

It’s difficult to say at this point how things will shake out in court, but we don’t think there’s any doubt that this thing will get uglier before it gets any better.

Kristen Doute: Scheana Marie is LYING About Her Eating Disorder!

Vanderpump Rules Season 5 may have come to an end, but the contentious cast is certainly not through taking shots at one another.

The only difference is that these days the drama is playing out not on camera, but on social media.

The latest round of trash talk was prompted by Monday night’s Vanderpump reunion show.

After being called out for “bullying” Scheana Marie by Ariana Madix, Stassi Schroeder went nuclear on Twitter, posting an article that reveals Ariana’s brother was once arrested on domestic assault charges.

Now, it seems a comment made by Stassi during the reunion has sparked a second feud, and this one is getting equally ugly.

When shown a clip in which she joked about Scheana having an eating disorder, Stassi insisted that the remark was a compliment.

In a recent episode of her podcast, Scheana revealed that she didn’t see it that way, and that at one point she legitimately struggled with an eating disorder.

“I was 20 years old,” Marie told her audience.

“I was going to be moving out to Hollywood. I wanted to be an actress. Thin was in 11 years ago. Kim Kardashian was not a thing. It wasn’t cool to have a big butt.

“For me, I was just like, ‘I don’t want to work out, so the only way I know how to get skinny is to stop eating.’”

She went on:

“I remember stepping on the scale the day of my college graduation, and I was 102. I was like, ‘Yes, I’m almost under 100.’ I was proud of myself.”

Scheana added that she no longer starves herself, and these days she keeps trim through exercise and a healthy diet.

Now, Scheana’s co-star Kristen Doute has come under fire for her response to Scheana’s revelation.

To the surprise of many Kristen seems to doubt the severity of Scheana’s condition, stating:

“It infuriates me that Scheana is making it a thin.”

Scheana has yet to respond, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see this ignite another round of irate tweets.

These people should probably just film the show year round.

Watch Vanderpump Rules online to remind yourself what sort of drama we’re missing out on at this very moment.

Leah Messer Combats Eating Disorder Rumors With Revealing Selfie

Try as she might, Leah Messer can’t seem to do anything right in the eyes of her harshest critics.

In the past, the favorite hobby of those critics has been attacking Leah’s parenting skills, and in fairness, Ms. Messer gave them plenty of material to work with.

These days, however, Leah has sobered up and settled down, and her critics have to be a bit more creative in their dirt-digging.

And it seems they’ve found what they’re looking for on her Instagram page:

As you can see in the photo above, Leah is looking thinner than usual these days.

Her sudden weight loss has led to “concerned” comments that Leah is “scary skinny,” and suffering from an eating disorder.

But these days, Messer is taking the high road and refusing to respond directly to critical comments from “fans.”

However, that doesn’t mean that she isn’t fighting back in her own way.

Like so many young reality stars these days, Leah shills for Fit Tea, a company that manufactures a tea which they say helps users achieve a flat stomach and burn calories.

Obviously, the stars who are promoting the product draw their followers’ focus to their own physiques with the goal of showing off their tea-assisted weight loss.

But Leah seems to have chosen the selfie above specifically for the reason that she looks as though she’s put on a few pounds.

We mean “a few pounds” in the most literal sense as Leah is obviously still very thin, but we doubt anyone would look at the photo above and say that she’s skinny to the point that she may need medical assistance.

Whatever the case, it’s impossible to diagnose an eating disorder from a few Instagram photos.

Leah’s young, she clearly has a very high metabolism, and she might occasionally overdo it with the dieting.

Fortunately, the Leah eating disorder truthers probably won’t have to wait long to learn if there’s something up with their favorite social media punching bag.

Leah recently wrapped filming for Teen Mom 2 Season 8, and it’s not like producers would help her hide something as storyline-friendly as anorexia.

It’s sad to say, but such is the nature of reality television in 2016.

Zayn Malik Claims He Had an Eating Disorder

Zayn Malik has opened up once again about his departure from One Direction.

This time, however, the singer has delved into a topic not previously broached before.

And probably a topic he would have been better off leaving alone.

In an interview with the Associated Press (via the BBC), the artist claimed that he suffered from an eating disorder during his final months as a member of the beloved boy band.

“When I look back at images of myself from around November 2014, before the final tour, I can see how ill I was,” Malik said.

“Something I’ve never talked about in public before, but which I have come to terms with since leaving the band, is that I was suffering from an eating disorder.”

In a move that nearly destroyed the Internet forever, Malik left One Direction in March of 2015.

At one point, he said that he made this career move to go and make real music, a comment that did not sit well with fans.

“It wasn’t as though I had any concerns about my weight or anything like that. I’d just go for days – sometimes two or three days straight – without eating anything at all,” the British pop star added in this new interview.

“It got quite serious, although at the time I didn’t recognize it for what it was.”

Perhaps aware that saying you have an eating disorder is a pretty big deal, Malik later tried to walk back his initial comments.

“I don’t think I ever had an eating disorder,” he clarified. “I was never diagnosed with one of them.”

In other words: he was maybe stressed out a bit and didn’t have very good eating habits for awhile there.

That is VERY different than actually having an eating disorder, something that has ruined the lives of millions of people around the world.

Malik did skip several group appearances due to stress prior to exiting One Direction.

He later embarked on a solo career, releasing his debut album, titled “Mind of Mine.”

While Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles released one more album in Malik’s absence, the group is now on an indefinite hiatus to pursue individual interests.

“I didn’t feel like I had control over anything else in my life, but food was something I could control, so I did,” Zayn told the AP in this new Q&A.

He added of his physical condition at the time:

“I had lost so much weight I had become ill. The workload and the pace of life on the road put together with the pressures and strains of everything going on within the band had badly affected my eating habits.”

Over time, Malik said:

“I realized that I wasn’t eating as much just down to the amount of work that we were doing…our schedule was kind of crazy so we were all over the place.

“It was just more down to losing track of, you know, actually eating and being super busy and getting caught up with other things that 17 or 18-year-olds do, which normally entails them going out, drinking or partying, so it was a mixture of everything.”

How does Malik feel now?

Great, he says, explaining why as follows:

“That machine was already going, it was at 100 miles per hour and it was harder to get off that machine… I’m controlling this one.”

Lily-Rose Depp: Latest Photos Spark Eating Disorder Rumors

Lily-Rose Depp’s career is taking off in a big way, and the 17-year-old actress and model seems to be on the verge of becoming a household name in her own right.

Sure, like any teen she’s made some mistakes, but fortunately, no one watches Kevin Smith movies, so she should have no trouble bouncing back from the atrocity that was Yoga Hosers.

Of course, with success in Hollywood comes the many pitfalls of fame, including tabloids and social media vultures scrutinizinf your appearance at every turn.

As you can see, Lily-Rose is a bit on the thin side, even by model standards.

Radar Online recently published photos of the teen out for lunch in West Hollywood and described her as “scary skinny” and “dangerously thin.”

We wouldn’t go quite that far.

Yes, Lily is a model, and ladies in her profession tend to go light on the calorie intake, but she’s also 17.

That’s significant because teenagers tend to have rapid-fire metabolisms.

Remember subsisting on a diet of fried chicken and malt liquor your freshman year of high school and never gaining a pound.

Okay, maybe that was just us, but the point is, your metabolism slows down with age, so it’s really not that weird for someone Lily-Rose’s age to be a few pounds under what might be considered a healthy weight.

She may have slimmed down a bit lately, but there could be any number of reasons for that, and we doubt it’ll negatively impact her health.

As for her career, Ms. Depp is blowing up lately.

In fact, her dad predicts she’ll be an A-lister in no time.

Of course, he also says Lily-Rose’s sudden success worries him.

We guess that’s not surprising.

Any dad would be concerned in Johnny’s position, and Depp knows more than anyone how cruel Hollywood can be to newcomers and grizzled vets alike.

But we’re sure he’s doing his best to keep an eye on her.

In fact, it looks like he’s employing a wide variety of disguises, following Lily-Rose to her premiere in hats, weird facial hair, and more scarves than any sane man would wear in Southern California.

What do you mean that’s just how he dresses?

We kid, Johnny!

Naya Rivera Reveals Eating Disorder Battle, Abortion

Naya Rivera has opened up about a pair of very personal subjects.

The actress will release a memoir titled “Sorry Not Sorry” on September 13 and People Magazine has featured an exclusive preview of what fans can expect from the book.

The two most notable tidbits so far?

1. Rivera suffered from an eating disorder as a child.

2. She went through with an abortion in 2010.

“I’ve done a lot of living,” Rivera tells People. “I’m a 79-year-old trapped in a 29-year-old’s body.”

She then goes on to explain why.

Yes, the memoir is filled with many light and humorous stories. It gives us insight into an actress who started in Hollywood long before kindergarten.

But it also delves into Rivera’s battle with anorexia.

“By the time I was a sophomore, I started feeling that what had begun as a game had maybe gone too far. I just avoided food at all costs,” she writes in Sorry Not Sorry, explaining her reaction to her parents splitting up and reuniting at the same time her acting career was stalling.

“If my mom had packed a lunch for me, I’d either trash it or find some excuse to give it away.”

Rivera says she didn’t fully understand the severity of her eating disorder until she decided to write about it in her biography.

“I was so young and it just seemed to be the norm. Everyone was going through similar stuff,” she tells People.

“I had no way of knowing if I was going through it worse. I was juggling my feelings and it makes me sad that there are girls still going through that 15 years after I went through it.”

Then there’s the abortion.

Rivera discovered she pregnant with actor Ryan Dorsey’s child in late 2010, mere weeks after breaking up with him to focus on her career.

The timing really could not have been much worse.

Rivera is now married to Dorsey and the two are the parents of an 11-month old son.

At the time, however, she did not tell Dorsey that was pregnant or that she had made plans to terminate the pregnancy.

“It was very scary to open up about everything,” says Rivera. “It’s not something a lot of people talk about, but I think they should. I know some people might read it and say, ‘What the Hell?’

“But I hope someone out there gets something out of it.”

Pretty brave admissions here by Rivera, wouldn’t you say?

We salute her for opening up in such a frank manner and we wish her the best of luck moving forward.

As previously mentioned, “Sorry Not Sorry” comes out on September 13.

Ellen Pompeo Denies Eating Disorder, Makes Shocking Confession

In May, ABC wrapped up Grey’s Anatomy Season 12.

This fall, ABC will kick off Grey’s Anatomy Season 13.

That’s an incredibly impressive run and it doesn’t appear as if the Thursday night juggernaut will be slowing down any time soon.

At this point, it’s pretty clear Grey’s Anatomy will stick around for as long as creator Shonda Rhimes wants it to stick around.

And, perhaps, for as long as Ellen Pompeo is still willing to portray Dr. Meredith Grey, practically the one stable main character on a series that has seen its share of big cast changes.

But fans of the program can rest easy:

Based on a new interview with People Magazine, it doesn’t appear as if Pompeo is going anywhere any time soon.

“My decision to stay on Grey’s was based solely on age,” Pompeo admits.

“At 33, I was wise enough to know my clock was already ticking in Hollywood.”

You don’t see an actor or actress make that sort of confession very often, do you?

Pompeo, who acknowledges she got a “super late start” in Hollywood, is shining a light here on the kinds of challenges older actresses often face.

When contract negotiations came up recently she “was definitely aware of how challenging it would be to find other roles in my late 30s and early 40s.”

Patrick Dempsey departed Grey’s Anatomy toward the end of Season 11, while other original cast members (such as Katherine Heigl and Sandra Oh) have also left.

But not Pompeo.

“I thought, ‘Why would I leave something that is super successful and pays me great to search the landscape?’

“I decided that I would stay on Grey’s and be grateful and try to ride it out for as long as I could,” she says.

“And I am very happy that I made the decision to stay. It’s only gotten better with time.”

But while Pompeo is happy with this choice, she has been less than thrilled over the years with the way tabloids have covered her body.

“I used to get a lot of criticism for how thin I was, and I didn’t have a lot confidence because of it. But I was naturally thin,” the 46-year-old says.

“I always thought it was irresponsible of the media to portray me as someone with an eating disorder because if some girls look up to me and think that’s what you have to do to look like me, it’s a horrifying concept.

“I listened to the criticism a little too much – and this was pre-social media. It’s even crazier to think what women have to deal with now.”

It really is.

Fortunately, she has a great attitude about her looks.

“For me, personally, I don’t do Botox or anything like that,” the star tells People. “It can’t be what’s on the outside; it’s gotta be what’s on the inside.”
