Jill Duggar Bribes Son With Candy, Gets Slammed By Critics

Not a week goes by without Jill Duggar getting slammed for her parenting methods by people who seem to detest her, yet continue to follow her on social media.

It"s a curious phenomenon made even more curious by the fact that Jill gets roasted even when she"s demonstrating top-notch parenting skills.

Case in point, Jill is homeschooling her kids, and it seems that even in summer (and even though her eldest is only 3) she remains committed to teaching them the basics at a young age.

And she"s not just winging it or relying on her own maternal instincts.

As evidenced by the video above, Jill has done her research.

She admits she"s no expert, but says she"d like to share her experiences with a handful of educational tools for the benefit of other parents who might be homeschooling their kids.

And naturally, this led to Jill being roasted so hard the Duggars opted to disable comments on her latest YouTube video.

"I"m no professional at all but this is just what we"ve enjoyed and Israel loves school right now, so we"re trying to just keep him busy with that," Jill said in the clip that apparently left some fans in a seething rage. 

"And it"s fun," she added.

Seems innocent enough, but fans went off on Jill for everything from keeping her child out of school to using candy as an incentive.

Look, we know for some people the Duggars can do no right and their first instinct when they see any member of the family is to start hurling criticism.

It"s understandable, but it"s still dumb as hell.

Josh Duggar is a molester and Jim Bob and Michelle might be cult leaders, it"s true.

But Jill and her her sisters are victims in this case, and even when we side-eye their behavior (whihc is very often), we try to keep that in mind.

At best, the Duggar kids are sheltered, and at worst, their traumatized.

Something to keep in mind next time you feel like raking one of them over the coals for giving their kids candy.

Jimmy Kimmel to Daughter: I Ate ALL Your Candy!

Jimmy Kimmel continued one of the best traditions on television last night.

For the sixth year in a row, he asked parents to film themselves playing a pretty harmless prank on their kids.

Mothers and fathers around the country told their little girls and little boys that they ate all of their Halloween candy, recording the children’s reactions and sending the footage in to Jimmy Kimmel Live.

This time around, as Kimmel explained to his audience, the host himself actually has a daughter who is of Trick or Treating age.

Jane Kimmel turned two years old in July and went out with her parents as a monkey on Monday night.

“She was very excited about the candy, even though she doesn’t know the difference between lollipops and popsicles,” Kimmel said of his child.

So, having faced criticism in the past for encouraging parents to lie to their kin, Kimmel at least joined in this year.

He warned his viewers that Jane didn’t wake up in the best mood and then he shared with them a video he filmed of himself informing Jane of Daddy’s nefarious actions.

“Remember all the candy we got?” Jimmy asks Jane in the first video shared above. “Well, Daddy ate all of it.”

Jane doesn’t seem to care very much, however.

She says “no” a few times, but then seems more focused on the dirt in her empty candy bucket than the lack of candy in said bucket.

And then she asks for pancakes.

Fortunately, other parents out there had more luck than Kimmel did with Jane.

They recorded plenty of hilarious reactions from their kids after telling their sons and daughters that Mommy and Daddy devoured all their Halloween candy.

And then you can respond to the mini controversy that has actually sprung up around Kimmel’s annual prank.

Is it really wrong? Should parents never lie to their kids, as some critics have said in response to this tradition?

Or is there a difference between a lie and a joke and it’s the responsibility of a parent to simply explain this difference to their children?

Clearly, if someone takes the stand that a parent should never ever lie to a daughter or son, we can’t formulate a strong response. You are absolutely allowed to take this point of view.

But do these same parents tell their kids about the Tooth Fairy or Santa Claus? It’s not a perfect comparison, of course.

It does, however, get to the point that it’s impossible to be 100% truthful at all times as a parent. So why not have a little fun along the way?

Cotton Candy Girl Goes Viral, Gets Robbed of Baseball Game Honor

The Seattle Mariners defeated the Texas Rangers by a score of 8-3 on Wednesday night.

But whatever. Who cares?

We’re not here to update readers on the race for the American League Wild Card.

But we are here to talk about the cutest little girl on the entire Internet.

For today, at least, anyway.

She goes by the moniker Cotton Candy Girl and it’s pretty obvious why:

After cameras at the game panned the crowd last night, they stopped and settled on this adorable infant, who had just eaten some cotton candy and who was pretty fired up about it.

The girl has not yet been publicly identified, but proud father Jake Hart shared the above footage on Twitter.

A family friend at the game, John McCallum, then posted the image posted at the very top of this article.

After the game, meanwhile, the team asked fans to name the “Player of the Game,” but cautioned that Cotton Candy Girl was not eligible for this distinction.

This declaration did not sit well with Seattle Mariners fans on Twitter.

Eventually, the team sort of game in, sharing a Photoshopped image of Cotton Candy Girl wearing the “Swelmet,” which is helmet worn by the player of the game after each victory.

11 Candy Asses Who Have Felt the Wrath of The Rock

Dwayne Johnson is never afraid to lay the smackdown on anyone"s candy ass.

That much was made clear when he called out Vin Diesel (although not by name) for the actor"s inappropriate and pompous behavior on the set of Fast 8.

Some fans were taken aback by Johnson"s harsh words, but they really shouldn"t have been.

Previously known as The Rock during his WWE days, Johnson has been at the center of many feuds over the years.

Here"s a rundown of the most memorable back-and-forths:

1. Vin Diesel

This marks Johnson’s first real feud since he became an actor. Those on the set of Fast 8 confirm that Johnson was nothing but professional during filming while Diesel walked around with an arrogant attitude, often showing up late to set. Johnson called him out on it.

2. Ken Shamrock

The Rock and Ken Shamrock debuted in the WWE during the Attitude Era, feuding early on over the Intercontinental belt. Shamrock finally defeated Rock in the 1998 King of the Ring finals.

3. Degeneration X

As a member of the Nation of Domination (as Rocky Maivia), The Rock ousted Faarooq as the leader and began a feud with DX. Triple H and Rock then participated in one of the most brutal ladder matches of all time.

4. The Big Show

The Rock started his feud with Big Show at Royal Rumble 2000 when they were the final two competitors. There was controversy over the ending, which led to these two doing battle against at No Way Out. Eventually, the pay-off was a four way for the title at Wrestlemania.

5. The Undertaker

These two feuded numerous times. It all started when Johnson was exiled from the Corporation and it culminated in 2002 when The Rock beat Undertake and Kurt Angle in a three way at WWE Vengeance.

6. Booker T

Booker T was the WCW Champion when he started using the Book End (Rock Bottom, basically) as his Finishing Move. At Summerslam, The Rock beat Booker after a Rock Bottom to win the WCW Championship. Booker would receive a rematch in a form of a handicap match (teaming with Shane McMahon) at Unforgiven 2001.

Dwayne Johnson Eats Candy For the First Time in 27 Years! WATCH!

You may not be able to smell what The Rock is cooking in the following clip, but many of us have tasted what he"s eating.

As you might already know, Dwayne Johnson"s diet is the stuff of Internet legend.

The man basically lives on a diet of cod, baked chicken and artfully cocked eyebrows.

Obviously, that doesn"t leave a lot of room for empty calories, such as – well, most of the crap the rest of slobs eat.

But hey, maintaining the physique of a Greek god at 44 while still making time to save drowning puppies isn"t easy.

Not surprisingly, Johnson has had to make some serious sacrifices over the years.

And it seems one of the first things to get 86"ed from his diet when he decided to become the closest thing to flawless that mankind has ever achieved was candy.

We don"t mean Dwayne only indulges in candy on cheat days, or even on holidays.

We mean the man flat-out eats no sugary treats at all.

In fact, during his appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night, Johnson confirmed the rumor that he hasn"t eaten candy in 27 years.

That streak came to an end last night when Fallon offered Johnson a wide array of ways to fall off the wagon.

Perhaps not surprisingly, Johnson chose Pop Rocks.

And he was not disappointed.

“So that’s what candy tastes like,” Johnson said. “It’s amazing.”

Amazing, indeed.

Candy Spelling Pays Tori Spelling"s Bills! Not Helping With Amex Suit!

Candy Spelling is a true Hollywood champion.  

On January 19th, Aaron Spelling"s widow was getting into her car after dinner at West Hollywood celebrity haunt, Madeo when a TMZ videographer asked her about Tori Spelling"s financial woes.

The videographer brought up the $ 38,000 + lawsuit American Express filed against her daughter, who took out a loan last summer when money was tight.  Tori also suffered burns after an accident at a local Benihana, which required medical attention.

Candy remained expressionless as the videographer yammered on, as if she was all too aware of the position Tori and husband Dean McDermott have found themselves in.

"Would you be willing to help her out?" The videographer asked.

"I"ve been helping her out," Candy answered.  "I"m paying all her bills now.  I"m not paying [for] extras like that."

"But she has a year of back payments," the videographer pressed on.

"I"m not paying any back payments," Candy continued.  "Just for the house and the kids" school, and the food."

"Why did she miss a bunch of payments?"

"I don"t know," Candy replied breezily.  "Extravagance, I guess."

Dean has reportedly asked Tori to consider filing for bankruptcy, since they owe money to other credit card companies as well.
