John Stamos Admits: I Nearly Masturbated to Fuller House

John Stamos is finally ready to come clean.

About something pretty dirty.

The long-time actor was a guest this week on the E! talk show Busy Tonight, sitting down across from host Busy Phillipps and opening up about two things very personal to him:

  1. His beloved role as Uncle Jess on Full House and the Netflix revival, Fuller House.

  2. Masturbation.

Allow Stamos to explain…

“This is an absolutely true story, and I’ve been waiting to tell this story,” Stamos told Phillips before delving into a tale about his trip to a fertility clinic when he and his wife, Caitlin McHugh, were trying to start a family.

“[We were] trying to get pregnant and we had to do a thing, and we had to go to a fertility place and I had to go give a sperm sample.”

In other words:

Stamos had to pleasure himself and make sure the results ended up in a cup. Standard stuff in this sort of case.

“I went into this little room where they go, ‘Go in there…’ And they said, ‘If you need any stimulation or whatever, there’s videos and there’s a TV here, just turn the thing,’” the star continued, getting to the non-fictional punchline:

“I turn the TV on… and it’s on Fuller House. My hand to God."

HA!

So, did he do it? Did Stamos do what needed to be done while watching scenes from the comedy on which he plays a major part?

Not quite.

"I’m like, if I’m going to masturbate to myself, it’s going to be my old self, not the new one,” he joked.

Stamos stars in the family-friendly Netflix series as Uncle Jesse. He originally played the role in Full House from 1987 to 1995 — and he"s saying here that he was more attractive during the original version.

Which is silly, of course.

The guy hasn"t aged a single second it seems.

All quips aside, though, Stamos welcomed his son in April and gushed over the experience to Philipps:

"It’s just so beautiful. It’s just the perfect time,” he said.

“I’m glad I waited so I could devote my total self to my wife and to my child and forget about myself, because you get tired of your own self after a while, right?"

Thomas Dekker Comes Out as Gay ... After Bryan Fuller Outs Him!

People have more or less “known” that Thomas Dekker wasn’t straight for a while. Part of that’s gaydar, part of that had to do with some of the roles that he’s taken … actually it was mostly just gaydar.

People “knew” before Colton Haynes came out, too. It’s important to let people actually come out in their own time. Thomas Dekker’s emotional coming out essay is powerful, but we sure wish that he’d gotten to share it at a time of his choosing.

Unfortunately, his official coming out was prompted by Bryan Fuller just … outing him on stage.

Thomas Dekker is known for his acting roles on TV shows like HeroesThe Secret Circle, and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. He’s also starred in movies, including Kaboom! which is super trippy but we love it.

It’s getting close to time for my annual The Secret Circle rewatch, so I’m not claiming to be psychic when I say that Thomas Dekker’s been on my mind lately. He’s been doing some directing, lately.

Apparently, Bryan Fuller was, too — because he recently referred to a well-known story of Thomas Dekker’s management team freaking out about his Heroes character being gay and, fearing that Thomas would be typecast, insisted that his character be straight.

That was, needless to say, controversial.

Given the circumstances, Thomas Dekker’s coming out essay is bittersweet.

But it’s absolutely worth the read:

“My sexual orientation once again came into question this week when a prominent gay man used an awards acceptance speech to ‘out’ me.”

Thomas returns the favor, pointing the finger of blame at Bryan Fuller — who fully deserves a serious callout — without naming any names.

Turnabout is fair play, as they say.

“While he did not mention me by name, the explicit details of his reference made it easy for the public and media to connect the dots.”

Yep.

Some people might have been surprised to learn that Thomas wasn’t already out. Like when Anderson Cooper came out.

“While it is an odd situation, I thank him because it presents a prime opportunity for me to publicly say that I am indeed a man who proudly loves other men.”

That thank-you doesn’t seem super genuine, but we’re so glad that Thomas is seizing the opportunity to come out.

He deserves to live a happy and authentic life, you know?

“In fact, this April, I married my husband and I could not be happier.”

That is fantastic news.

“I have never lied to the press about the fluidity of my sexuality but this man claiming that I came out is not true.”

Nobody should be outed against their will.

It can endanger people’s lives — or, at the very least, steal their moment from them.

But Thomas wasn’t about to let that happen.

“Because I have not ‘officially’ until this moment. I simply refuse to be robbed of the glorious joy that belongs to me. To say the words myself. ‘I’m gay’. Those words are a badge of honor that no one can steal.”

Some had speculated that he might be bisexual, but he’s gay.

(Though a lot of LGBT folks use “gay” as an umbrella term, we’ll go with the label that he prefers)

“Sexuality and who you love is a deeply personal and complicated thing. For some of us, it takes to cultivate, discover and conclude.”

That’s super true. Some people marry and have children before they realize “oh, wait … I’m not straight.”

“It is not something anyone should ever be ashamed of and certainly not something anyone should be rushed into.”

That’s a well-deserved jab in Bryan Fuller’s direction, but probably aimed at others who may have pushed him to come out.

“I agree with many who believe it is an important responsibility for LGBTQ persons with a platform to come out.”

That’s true, for sure.

“It has the power to change minds, challenge beliefs and make others feel understood and supported.”

Representation matters, as they say.

“It can strengthen the progression of our community and help disarm those who discriminate against us.”

There’s still a lot of anti-LGBT campaigning and sentiment, even within the US.

“It is a brave, powerful and important thing to do but it is also a deeply personal decision. One that should only be made when you are ready.”

Some LGBT folks never come out, and that’s okay.

“If we are to stand strong in the gay community, our mission should be support, not exclusion; love, not shame.”

That is just beautifully written.

“I choose not to look back on the past with a regretful heart but rather focus on the future with a hopeful one.”

Good for him, right?!

“A future where myself and all others can feel free to express their true selves with honor and dignity.”

Ideally, a future where young actors don’t arrive in Hollywood and get told that they can’t come out or they won’t get cast in the roles that they want.

“I embrace you, any of you, with open arms, kindness, faith and patience.”

He’s so good, you guys.

“For all of you who have supported me, before and now, I thank you from the bottom of my fledgling heart.”

That’s such a poetic way to phrase that. Thomas Dekker is a man of many talents.

“Be proud of who you are. No matter how long it takes.”

Few coming out letters are this moving or well-written. Wow.

Is The Secret Circle still on Netflix? Kidding — we don’t even have to check to know that it definitely is.

It looks like it’s time for another rewatch.

Fuller House: Renewed by Netflix!

Have mercy?

More like… thanks, we’ll have another!

Netflix announced via Twitter today that it has picked up Fuller House for a second season.

Just a few days after this sitcom spinoff hit the streaming service, the company took to the show’s official social media account to wrote the following:

“You list will get even fuller,” the verified Fuller House page wrote alongside a short and sweet video featuring Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber.

It added: “Season 2. Coming soon to @Netflix. #FullerHouse.”

Fuller House kicked off on Friday, February 26 with a Tanner family reunion.

This gave fans of the original series a glimpse at such veteran stars as John Stamos, Bob Saget and Lori Loughlin.

Picking up two decades after the events of Full House‘s series finale, though, the crux of Fuller House centers on DJ (now a widowed mother of three) and Stephanie (now a jet-setting deejay with no children or roots of any kind) moving back into their childhood home.

They are joined there by Best Friend Forever Kimmy Gibbler, who now works as a party planner.

Throughout the opening season, original cast members made cameos as these three women navigated their new lives as “sister wives” (hey, that was their term!) and D.J. began dating once again.

Fuller House: 11 Tanner Moments We Missed Like Heck

Guys, memories.  Amiright?

This is probably the 600th post you"ve seen about Netflix"s Fuller House, and we really appreciate you sticking around to read the end of this sentence.

You"re still here!  Did you watch the pilot?  Did it require a 4-drink minimum to hear Stephanie talk in a crap British accent?

Or were you so overserved that you hope iTunes sells the most updated version of "Forever?"

Whatever your mindset, the nostalgia will hit you like a wave.  And like that wave, it might shoot water up your nose, which is bad.

BUT, it will also engulf you in a wonderful current that sends you gliding towards the shore, which is great.

Ever. You are the coolest lame dad in the world. And your dedication to keeping a clean home is grossly underappreciated.

2. Whose San Francisco Is It Anyway?

3. Comet Reviews Stephanie’s New Glasses

And it ain’t good. In fact, it made Steph feel like a loser. Man’s best friend, my a**.

4. Get A Room (Or an Attic), You Two

I remember thinking this throughout the show’s entirety. Uncle Jesse was way too sexual for my pre-pubescent liking. Present day, though, I’d hit it.

5. Again With The Sexuality

And to think, this scene aired on a Friday evening. When children were watching.

6. Joey Was Kinda Painful To Watch

There were very few scenes involving Joey where I didn’t wish for the fast-forward option. Also, I think puppet, Mr. Woodchuck kind of resembles Andy Cohen.

Fuller House Theme Song: Listen Here! Listen Now!

Everywhere you look…. people are getting excited today for the release of Fuller House.

The sitcom spinoff is getting set to stream on Netflix on Friday, with fans around the world eagerly anticipating the return of DJ, Stephanie, Kimmy Gibbler and company.

In anticipation of the show no one saw coming just a few months ago, we’re here with an early sneak listen at the Fuller House theme song.

Courtesy of Carly Rae Jepsen!

Indeed, that fun young artist is responsible for a high-energy update of the original Full House theme song, as she’s teamed up with writer/producer Butch Walker for this enjoyable cover of Jesse Frederick’s “Everywhere You Look.”

Just consider yourselves warned:

You will NOT be able to get the track out of your head once you hear it.

Fuller House picks up many years after the events that concluded Full House.

It centers on a recently-widowed DJ and how she shares a home with Stephanie and Kimmy, both of whom are helping her raise her three children.

Also set to reprise their roles from the beloved original program are John Stamos, Bob Saget, Dave Coulier and Lori Loughlin.

Basically everyone except The Olsen Twins.

Fuller House Teaser: Go Behind the Scenes!

As previously detailed, the cast of Full House has come a long way.

You can click on the link above to see what we mean, but you can also take a look at the video below.

Netflix has released a new trailer for Fuller House, though this one is unlike past Fuller House previews.

Instead of showing fans upcoming footage from the wildly anticipated Full House spinoff, it takes us behind the scenes with various cast members with whom we"ve literally grown up.

"Fuller House carries the same emotional, loving, family tone through the show that the original did," Candace Cameron Bure (DJ Tanner-Fuller) says in the featurette. "It"s crazy to be back here again!"

The Netflix series will drop on February 26 and will center on a newly-widowed DJ Tanner.

She"s the single mother of three boys and she relies on the help of her sister, Stephanie and her fellow single mom/best friend, Kimmy Gibbler, for parental guidance and support.

All three women live in the Tanners" childhood home in San Francisco.

"We are a family and have been since we started doing the show 28 years ago," says Jodie Sweetin. "[The plot] is sort of the reverse: It"s now three women raising these three boys."

Look for appearances by familiar/beloved faces such as John Stamos and Bob Saget and, yes, prepare to have mercy.

Fuller House Premiere Date, First Promo Released

Have mercy, Netflix users.

In the very near future, you’ll be able to watch Fuller House and chill.

The Tanners have been given an official move-in date, as the above teaser confirms that all 13 episodes of Fuller House will hit the streaming service on Friday, February 26.

The spinoff will pick up with this beloved family 21 years after Full House went off the air, with Candace Cameron Bure starring again as D.J. Tanner Fuller.

She is recently widowed and living in San Francisco with two familiar faces: Jodie Sweetin’s Stephanie Tanner and Andrea Barber’s Kimmy Gibbler.

Joining these three adults under one roof will be four kids:

Gibbler’s teenage daughter Ramona, and D.J.’s trio of children: rebellious 12-year-old Jackson; neurotic 7-year-old Max; her newborn baby, Tommy Jr.

We can also look forward to guest appearances by John Stamos (Jesse Katsopolis), Bob Saget (Danny Tanner), Dave Coulier (Joey Gladstone), Lori Loughlin (Becky Katsopolis) and Scott Weinger (Steve Hale).

Oh, yes, nearly the entire band is getting back together.

With the exception of The Olsen Twins because some cast members allegedly hate them.

Are you psyched for Fuller House?

Or are you sort of stupefied that such a program is about to exist?

We finally know who will be playing Candace Cameron Bure and Andrea Barber‘s onscreen kids!

Take a look (below)!

Michael Campion (on the left) is playing D.J.’s oldest son Jackson, who is the troublemaker of the bunch! Taking after his Uncle Jesse (John Stamos), he plays guitar and is quite the ladies man! Have mercy!

Jackson’s little brother Max, played by Elias Harger (right) is inquisitive and smart, taking after grandpa Danny (Bob Saget)! D.J. will also have an infant son.

Completing the house’s fullness is Kimmy Gibbler’s half-hispanic daughter Ramona (Soni Bringas, below), who blames Kimmy for breaking up with her father!

Wow, sounds like these kids will have plenty of shenanigans to get into — and, of course, learn Full House-esque lessons in the end, of course! (Cue the piano!)
