Jay-Z Album Title 4:44 EXPLAINED by Mind-Blowing Fan Theory on Twitter!

We briefly wondered why Jay-Z’s album was titled 4:44. Like, is it a time of day? And then we were distracted by all of the major bombshells that the lyrics contained.

Well, one fan posted a theory with a photo that would absolutely explain it and its deep meaning.

Of all of the bonkers conspiracy theories that have ever surrounded Jay-Z and Beyonce, this is the most plausible.

Okay, so … you remember that elevator video of Solange Knowles attacking the f–k out of Jay-Z?

That question’s rhetorical, because we all remember.

Solange seemed to fly into a rage, leaping at and attacking Jay-Z in that elevator.

Well, the elevator was at a hotel called The Standard.

And one very observant fan had an epiphany, took a photo, and shared it to Twitter.

4:44 Theory

That’s amazing, right?

And it would basically confirm that Solange’s fury was about Jay-Z’s cheating and the stress from his cheating (possibly) causing Beyonce to have miscarriages.

(We kind of knew that after Lemonade dropped, to be honest)

If the address is 444, then 4:44 as an album title makes a lot of sense, right?

Except that the truth is … somewhat stranger.

See, 444 is the address of Le Bain, which is a rooftop bar above The Standard.

The Standard’s address is 848 Washington Street.

Now, Jay-Z and Beyonce and Solange were coming back from Le Bain when the incident occurred.

But they were in an elevator within The Standard, which does not have that address.

In case you think that we’re being nitpicky, Jay-Z has already explained the name of the album.

4:44, the album, is named after “4:44,” the song.

And “4:44” is so named because Jay-Z woke up at 4:44am (a much more reasonable time to go to bed than to wake up) and wrote the song, confessing to sabotaging his marriage to Beyonce with his compulsive cheating.

So … we’re thinking that the address of Le Bain is probably a huge coincidence.

No number of explanations are going to put at ease the conspiracy theorists out there.

Remember, we live in a world where there are real people who believe that NASA has a child sex slave colony on Mars and that there’s a cloning factory where replacement celebrities are grown.

Every year, you see another detailed analysis of the Superbowl’s Halftime Show.

In real life, the Halftime Show is just the only part of the sportsball game that’s actually interesting or worthwhile.

In the minds of conspiracy theorists, these performances are all elaborate Illuminati rituals that are also Satanist and also Masonic even though those are different things and one of those is made up.

These conspiracy theories absolutely include Beyonce (who’s been part of a couple of Halftime Shows over the past several years) and Jay-Z. And even their children.

When Blue Ivy was born, the top trend on Twitter was a proposed acronym for Blue’s middle name: “Illuminati’s Very Youngest.”

While we admire such creativity, it’s worrisome that people actually believe any of these things.

So, yeah, anybody who believes this kind of stuff is probably going to believe literally whatever they want about Jay-Z’s album title.

But, let us assure you: it’s not that deep.

Monica Lewinsky Praises Jay-Z for Admitting His Cheating!

Jay-Z’s 4:44 album was an immediate hit, of course. In it, he very directly confessed to cheating on Beyonce and also slammed Kanye West.

Though she isn’t mentioned in the album, Monica Lewinsky — a woman whose name is still virtually synonymous with cheating, twenty years later — has spoken out about Jay-Z’s album, lyrics, and choices.

And what she has to say may come as a surprise. …

Because Monica Lewinsky is praising Jay-Z for his honesty.

“Jay-Z had a choice.”

She gets specific, but you already know that he could have simply chosen another subject for his album.

“Having been called out publicly by his wife in her fierce 2016 album and video, Lemonade, Jay-Z knew that his fans wouldn’t have blinked if his next album skimmed past the allegations.”

We love that she slipped in some praise for Beyonce’s Lemonade in the process.

(Same, girl)

“That’s not uncommon for men to do.”

It’s wildly common for men to do.

They’ll ignore allegations or even evidence.

Even if they answer when asked about it in interviews, their next movie or book or album is just about what they’d rather people talk about.

A lot of people use their craft more for branding than for honesty.

Monica points out that, given how his life had clearly stabilized, it would have been extra easy for him to steer the focus of his fans onto happier topics.

“And it’s not as if we hadn’t seen Beyonce and Jay-Z out in the world together since then — not to mention, welcoming their twins to planet Earth.”

That’s plenty of distractions, for anyone.

“Jay-Z could have ignored it all.”

But he didn’t. And good for him.

We share Monica’s enthusiasm for Jay-Z’s brazen musical confession of his apparent rampant cheating previously during his marriage.

But, technically, we disagree with Monica.

Because we’re not sure how much of a choice Jay-Z had.

Sure, plenty of his fans might have accepted it if his album had just been about dissing Kanye and letting his mom come out as a lesbian.

But we wonder if Beyonce would have been okay with it if, after Lemonade and the revelation therein, Jay-Z’s 4:44 had totally ignored his history of cheating.

Music — all art, really — is about expression and storytelling.

For the sake of their marriage, Jay-Z needed to put that out there.

And we’re just not convinced that Beyonce would have been cool with it if he hadn’t.

He needed to put it out there to expose the lies that threatened to ruin his marriage.

This is not even the first time that Monica Lewinsky has commented on Beyonce and Jay-Z’s music.

In 2013, Beyonce’s song, “Partition,” name-dropped Monica … as a verb.

“He Monica Lewinsky’d all on my gown.”

There’s an image.

And not one that we asked for.

Monica Lewinsky spoke out at the time.

“Thanks, Beyonce, but if we’re verbing, I think you meant ‘Bill Clinton’d’ all on my gown,’ not ‘Monica Lewinsky’d."”

To be fair, without the “gown” bit, using Bill Clinton as a verb might be a little ambiguous.

“He boosted the economy to historic levels all over my gown?”

But that’s totally fair.

Not only was Monica Lewinsky a very young adult when she had an affair with President Bill Clinton, which arguably gives her less agency in what happened …

… But, in a very literal sense, Bill Clinton was the one who, um, “made a mess,” in that scenario.

It’s so good that, after years of basically feeling like she needed to be in hiding, after gaining traumatic levels of infamy and being blasted by both sides of the political aisle, Monica Lewinsky is having an easier time.

Her name still means what it means, but she’s using her infamy for advocacy and to speak out.

She deserves praise for that.

Just as Jay-Z deserves praise for his honesty.

Though … everyone wishes that he’d gotten his impulsive sexual conquests out of the way before he’d gotten married.

(Seriously — who the hell cheats on Beyonce?)

Beyonce and Jay-Z: Inside Their New Lives With Twins

Now that Beyonce and Jay-Z’s new babies, Rumi and Sir Carter, have been born, things are very hush-hush about the family and their current private life.

We can’t imagine how much bravery it takes to spill details about Beyonce’s life, but one source stepped forward, so we now know some things about how things are going for the couple, for their new babies, and even for Blue Ivy.

So, thanks to E!‘s source, we know five things about Beyonce and Jay-Z’s life with their new babies.

Thing number first: Beyonce’s well-being.

Having a baby is hard — hard on your body and mind, from pregnancy to childbirth.

Having two babies is so much.

According to this source, Beyonce is taking it easy.

She’s eating healthily but she’s not doing any bonkers workouts like some moms do to try to get the best possible post-baby body.

We’ve all seen Beyonce’s photos — she always looks amazing.

But we’re glad that she’s prioritizing her health.

Apparently her nutritionist and trainers are already on standby for whenever she’s ready to get back to tormenting her body into perfection.

Things weren’t always so good between Beyonce and Jay-Z — you might remember that Jay-Z admitted that their marriage crumbled because it was built on lies.

Things are apparently much better now, though.

A huge part of that was apparently the release of Lemonade, which is sort of when the healing started to really begin.

But evidently Jay-Z’s work on 4:44 really helped things along, too.

The kind of introspection and self-awareness that goes into making such a deeply personal album can really help to process your mistakes and rebuild an honest relationship.

You know how a lot of albums have diss tracks?

In addition to letting his mom come out as a lesbian in a song, Jay-Z spent a good amount of time in 4:44 essentially dissing himself.

He kind of deserved it, at that point.

(Though, to be clear, he also totally dissed Kanye West)

Thirdly, there’s the twins themselves — Rumi and Sir Carter.

Obviously, even their names were merely rumor for a while, before we got confirmation.

The twins are apparently doing well at one month.

(It’s still bonkers that it’s already been a month, right?)

Also they have “great doctors” to look after them and keep them on track.

We hope to know more about the babies soon, even though right now they don’t have personalities or anything.

(I love babies, but one-month-olds are functionally similar to noisy, messy plants — there’s only so much that you can say)

We’d never want to forget the twins’ big sister, Blue Ivy.

And neither would Beyonce or Jay-Z.

This source says that they definitely haven’t forgotten their five-year-old.

Blue is reportedly loving being a big sister.

(Speaking as someone who became a big brother at five, well … she has both good and bad times ahead of her, because younger siblings are precious but later on they can drive you nuts)

Apparently, Blue “helps” Beyonce take care of them, which sounds adorably precious.

And of course her parents are going out of their way to help Blue feel loved and included, as some older siblings feel rejection when the attention of their parents is suddenly divided.

Finally, we know that Beyonce wants privacy.

They’re staying in a Malibu rental home, and they’re being very selective about who is and is not invited over.

(Which is smart, though clearly this source happened anyway)

Everybody wants to see new babies.

In many cases, it can be unwise, since newborns have the immune systems of, well, babies and can get sick super easily.

But for celebrities, especially those of Beyonce and Jay-Z’s caliber, they just don’t want to expose their babies to uncontrolled reporting.

And they don’t want to open up their home to snooping, even from friends.

As frustrating as that might be for some folks who want to know more, we get it.

Jay-Z: My Marriage to Beyonce Was Built on Lies!

Jay-Z’s album, 4:44, didn’t just piss off Kim Kardashian over the Kanye diss track. He also upset countless fans with his lyrical confession of cheating on Beyonce repeatedly.

A lot of good things, like Jay-Z’s mom coming out in the song “Smile,” were overshadowed by the extent of that confession.

Well now Jay-Z’s taking steps to clear the air — or, at least, to be more specific about some things. And he’s so serious that he’s not even rapping this time:

Okay, so Jay-Z recorded a video commentary for the titular song of his 13th album, 4:44.

Jay-Z has a lot to say, so buckle up.

(Metaphorically — please do not read this while driving)

“This is my real life.”

We all know that artists use their real lives to influence their art, but Jay-Z makes it more obvious than most.

And he also just spells out everything — about his cheating and the efforts to repair the damage that it had done.

“I just ran into this place and we built this big, beautiful mansion of a relationship that wasn’t totally built on the 100 percent truth, and it starts cracking.”

That’s an indirect way to refer to the old “a relationship needs a solid foundation” line.

But it’s clearly from the heart and it’s beautiful.

“Things start happening that the public can see.”

Honestly, we wonder if we’d have ever really known for sure if not for Lemonade and 4:44.

But it’s usually better to just come forward with things than to try to keep things hidden.

(And, especially with Jay-Z and Beyonce, there’s always the chance that someone was trying to blackmail him or them behind the scenes)

“Then we had to get to a point of, ‘OK, tear this down and let’s start from the beginning."”

Sometimes you do just have to scrap things — in this case, their public image as a perfect couple.

Jay-Z goes on to explain exactly how hard all of this has been for him.

“Remember we just talked about me: I’m from Marcy Projects. I’ve been shot at.”

Yikes.

Though, to be clear, we imagine that it was still harder for Beyonce.

But we get it — fixing all of this is tough on Jay-Z, too.

“But nothing is harder than this. By far. I’m telling you, it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done.”

You can tell that he means it.

“Most humans, us, you know what I mean? We’re not willing to put ourselves through that. Most people give up.”

Okay, we know that Jay-Z is being very serious here and pouring his heart out, but this made us chuckle.

You know that there are all kinds of wild conspiracy theories about celebrities.

Some say that they’re all clones or robots or lizard people.

So anyone who thinks that NASA keeps child sex slaves on Mars or whatever probably looks at that line where he says “most humans” as a slip of the (forked?) tongue, admitting that he’s a lizard person from below the Earth’s crust.

But, as for his comment about giving up? We’d have given up at the first sign of trouble, so good for him and Beyonce.

Especially before this happened:

Jay-Z confirmed that he (of course!) played the album for Beyonce early on.

He also explains why:

“We just got a place where, in order for this to work, this can’t be fake. Not one ounce.”

And, naturally, you’d want your wife’s approval before you go into so much detail.

“I’m not saying it wasn’t uncomfortable because obviously it was.”

Honestly, it’s amazing that they’re going so far to make it work.

Most people would have just split up by this point, and usually no one would blame them.
