Demi Lovato Leaves Rehab, Hits the Town With New Boyfriend!

When Demi Lovato suffered an overdose that nearly claimed her life back in July, family, friends, and a legion of devoted fans rallied around the singer and implored her to seek the help she needs for her ongoing addiction problems.

Fortunately, Demi was able to recognize that she would be unable to navigate the hard road to recovery on her own.

Lovato checked into rehab in August immediately after detoxing in an LA hospital.

And for a while, the reports of her progress were overwhelmingly positive.

Just last week, Demi’s mother, Dianna De La Garza, confirmed that Lovato is 90 days sober and planning to continue treatment for several more months.

So needless to say, fans were shocked by reports that Demi is now out of rehab and was spotted hitting the town in LA this weekend with a new love interest by her side.

Yes, TMZ has obtained photos of Demi looking very coupled-up with clothing designer Henry Levy.

On Saturday night, the twosome went out to dinner at a posh Beverly Hills sushi restaurant, where they held hands and gazed into one another’s eyes as they awaited their meals.

TMZ also reports that Lovato spent some time being pampered at a spa this weekend.

The news that Demi is out of rehab and seems to be embarking on a new relationship has received a mixed response from fans.

Obviously, it’s great to see the singer smiling after such a difficult few months, but Demi was scheduled to spend the rest of the year in rehab, and as her recovery is literally a matter of life and death, many hoped she would remain in treatment.

Not only that, newly sober addicts are generally discouraged from entering new relationships, particularly when past heartbreaks have served as triggering events, as is the case with Demi.

With her most recent relapse, Demi no doubt learned the hard lesson that most addicts will learn at one point another — recovery is a lifelong process and there are sure to be major setbacks along the way.

And the best way to avoid falling off the wagon is to adhere to the conventional wisdom of those who have been down this road before.

That said, every addict and every recovery is different.

For all we know, Demi’s decision to leave rehab ahead of schedule and enter a new relationship may have the full blessing of the experts she’s been working with for several months.

Whatever the case, we wish her all the best and hope that she’s receiving exactly the kind of help she needs.

United Airlines Shrugs at Perv Going to Town on Himself Under Blanket

Flying on an airplane is already an unpleasant enough experience. You’re rocketing through the clouds in an overcrowded tube.

One woman says that she awoke to find the man beside her masturbating beneath the blanket.

To make matters worse, she says that United took a month and a half to respond to her complaint — and that their response was an insult.

Her post begins with “*Trigger Warning*”

That is a great reminder that, though the term has been mocked into near-disuse by douchecanoes on the internet, “trigger warning” is a useful warning for people who aren’t eager to relive the worst moments of their lives.

“On June 4th I was on a #unitedairlines flight from Heathrow to Chicago,” her post explains.

“On this flight,” she continues. “The man next to me started masturbating.”

Gross!

Masturbation in and of itself is a very healthy activity. Masturbating in public in front of a captive audience is absolutely disgusting.

“I woke up,” she describes. “And saw him touching himself under a blanket.”

That sounds like such an unpleasant experience.

“I woke the woman next to me,” she writes. “And got out of there to tell a flight attendant.”

She then says that “the attendants checked and confirmed that he was masturbating in public.”

What a weird job flight attendants have.

“Once I got up the woman next to me saw and she also got up,” she explains. “They gave us new seats.”

Unfortunately, she says that the flight crew was insensitive about the issue.

“They then started making jokes about the situation,” she says. “Asking ‘what perfume are you wearing’ and excusing him saying ‘he’s had a bit of wine."”

Obviously, no type of perfume and no amount of alcohol excuses that.

She laments that “no one stopped him.”

“He was allowed to finish,” she writes. And here is where it gets worse.

She alleges that the masturbating passenger did all of this “with a child sitting closely by.”

“After exiting the plane first to talk to security,” she writes. “The security guard asked me if I’d like an apology from the offender.”

That sounds … absurd.

She says: “I immediately rejected the request.”

“It took @unitedairlines a month an a half to respond to my complaint,” she reveals. “And I received this email today.”

That email being the above image saying that there’s nothing that they can do.

“I am appalled at the lack of action taken in this situation in which as a woman, I was terrified.”

If you’re wondering why she was frightened rather than merely disgusted, it is important to remember that men who harass women by doing things like flashing or masturbating are sometimes working themselves up to commit assault.

“This man is clearly capable of much more,” she explains.

“So women and men out there,” she says. “Pick an airline that cares about your safety.”

She writes: “#unitedairlines referring to being assaulted on one of your flight as a ‘uncomfortable experience’ is a bit of an understatement.”

“Your lack of action is disgusting,” she says, tagging: “@united #unitedairlines #metoo”

While, going off of her description, the word assault doesn’t look accurate, that is a horrible, harrowing situation that absolutely should never have happened.

We’ve heard stories of women who were physically assaulted on planes, and in some of those cases, the perpetrator was also touching himself.

This definitely sounds like a #MeToo story. And it sounds like some professionals on the plane who should have known better were very insensitive about it.

Needless to say, the presence of a child in proximity to the alleged public masturbator is also alarming.

We understand that flight attendants possibly don’t train for this situation and probably hoped to avoid making an incident worse.

But … one would hope that United would be more apologetic.

The Bachelorette Preview: Who"s Goin" Home ... Town?!

You don’t need The Bachelorette spoilers to tell you that one week before hometown dates means decision time for Becca Kufrin.

Who will be moving on to hometowns with the brunette beauty, and who will just be going home and going to town on themselves?

Tonight’s installment of the long-running reality series, Season 14, Episode 7, is basically the point in which it’s worth it to start tuning in.

Even fiendish Bachelorette spoilers junkies who are reasonably sure of this summer’s outcome will see drama, twists and turns galore.

This evening will see three one-on-one dates, the elimination of two contestants, one lucky group of four guys and zero rose ceremonies.

Colton Underwood will get the first date.

In the Bahamas, they will sail away on a catamaran before enjoying a romantic dinner, during which he lays it all on the line.

According to ABC’s synopsis, “Colton finally feels comfortable enough to share a secret … one that he has been worried will scare her off.”

“Will this revelation derail their relationship,” the network teaser cryptically asks, “or bring them closer together?”

Spoiler alert …

He’s getting a rose.

And the secret he’s been waiting to reveal is most likely his virginal status, and/or the fact that he was hollering at Tia Booth online.

We never quite got an adequate resolution to that. Anyway, the second one-on-one date will go to Garrett Yrigoyen. Private island style.

It’s Garrett’s private life that’s in question, however, particularly about his failed and allegedly abusive marriage as hinted at earlier.

As you probably know, Garrett Yrigoyen has been in the hot seat already this season thanks to his … suspect social media history.

Things aren’t getting easier for him, and the scrutiny will likely increase with time, though Becca seems more and more into him.

Stay tuned there.

Finally, Becca and Blake ride horses on the beach and take in a concert courtesy of the Baha Men, who were last seen circa 2002.

Good to see those guys are still around. Will Blake be around after this week, when he “reveals to Becca his true feelings for her”?

He will. He pulls through in the end.

We have it on good authority that whatever tension might exist, Colton, Garrett, and Blake will all move on to the hometown dates.

Not a huge surprise there.

That leaves Jason, Leo and Wills on a group date, during which only one will survive. The lucky fourth hometown date recipient?

Becca’s tension-diffusing volleyball date will conclude with “two utterly heartbroken” suitors, according to the ABC official synopsis.

At the end of the evening, there will be no rose ceremony, but plenty of tears from Leo and Wills as they pack their bags for good.

Next week: Hometown dates, and plenty more controversy surrounding Colton and Garrett as the stakes are only getting higher.

Jim Bob Duggar Outrages Neighbors With Efforts to Take Over Town

If you follow the Duggar family closely, then you’re probably aware that despite his frequent claims that he’s a humble man of God who seeks nothing more than to live a life of service, Jim Bob Duggar has quite a few worldly ambitions.

In fact, the 52-year-old’s incessant efforts toward obtaining greater wealth and power have reportedly alienated many his neighbors, friends, and even members of his famously close-knit family.

Those who know him best have complained about Jim Bob’s “high-class hoarding.”

His second eldest son, John David Duggar, has reportedly taken issue with Jim Bob’s greed and reckless spending.

Fans have complained that the Duggar patriarch’s unchecked ambition seems to fly in the face of the religious views that the reality star and aspiring real estate mogul claims to hold so dear.

And now, some of Jim Bob’s neighbors in the small community of Tontitown, Arkansas are hoping to take action that will bring a halt to one of his most ambitious projects to date.

According to KSFM News in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Jim Bob has applied to rezone 23 acres of land as the first step in transforming the property into an “upscale RV park.”

Neighbors have expressed concerns, with some declaring outright that they oppose the project and are fed up with Jim Bob’s constant side-stepping of local laws and ordinances.

Last week, a planning commission reportedly approved the rezoning, thus changing the land’s designation from Residential-Agriculture to Urban Thoroughfare, which makes it eligible for commercial development.

“I think that’s more important than swallowing it up with development that could be on the other side of the street for instance,” says local resident Renwick Hudson.

“Rezoning [the land]…” he added. “It’s tricky. We have to be really careful.”

Others, such as Fayetteville Planning Director Andrew Garner, believe that the development would be a net positive for the community:

“The addition that [the owners] are proposing, only to rezone the front part and kind of keep the back of it preserved, I think is in line with a lot of the city’s policies for tree preservation and environmental preservation,” Garner said.

Even if efforts to have Jim Bob’s provisional license revoked are not successful, the development still must be approved by planning officials. 

“If they decide to build the RV park, they actually have to turn in construction plans and large-scale development plans,” Garner said.

“We have to look at all the development details, but the actual zoning decision has to be made to allow the RV park.”

And it seems the Duggars will continue to face opposition from the likes of Renwick Hudson:

“At this location, from my perspective, not ideal,” Hudson said. “It butts right up against some of the areas that are already vulnerable to future development.”

Riverdale Season 2 Episode 12 Recap: Two Murders Rock the Town

Maybe everyone in Riverdale should just stop sinning. 

You would think that all of the drama with the Black Hood would mean everyone in town would stop sinning.

However, that does not appear to be the case and Riverdale Season 2 Episode 12 concluded with two shocking murders. 

When the episode got underway, Veronica was preparing for being introduced to the family formally, and Hiram invited Archie to a poker game at Pop’s. 

Veronica grew concerned that Archie was getting too close to the family business and tried to warn her boyfriend off of her father. 

But Archie was too busy trying to keep the FBI at bay in order to care about all of it. The officer wanted Archie to wear a wire to the big event, but the teenager shut him down. 

At the poker game, one of the men tried to make fun of the food, and Archie heard him outside conferring with another gangster about taking Hiram out of the equation right after Veronica’s communion. 

Archie managed to tell Hiram in the nick of time, and Hiram put a plan in motion to have him murdered in his hotel room. It worked, but were the Lodges really safe?

The mayor gave the order to have the trailer park struck down that the serpents were living in. Tall Boy tried to blame Jughead and his friends because they were the ones who made the silent protest. 

Penny Peabody returned with a vengeance and said she would help out if Jughead was removed from the team and if she got to remove his serpent tattoo. 

This put Jughead in a difficult situation: Did he find out who the real villain was that stole the head off the Pickens statue, or did he just allow it to happen?

Thankfully, he and Betty put up flyers for information and someone from a junkyard contacted them. The man confirmed Tall Boy was the one who stole the head. 

Jughead confronted him, along with the other serpents who voted to oust him from the group. 

Meanwhile, Betty appeared on webcam in an attempt to find the darkness inside of her. She was then shocked to find a man leaving the home and Chic barely dressed. 

He told Betty he had a new job at Bijou and was very rude to Betty in the process when she quizzed what was going on. 

In the end, a figure appeared at the Cooper residence looking for Chic and the man was murdered a few moments later. Betty returned home to find Alice cleaning up a dead body. 

With all of the sinning going on, the Black Hood is definitely going to be making a return trip!

Riverdale Season 2 Episode 4 Recap: The Town That Dreaded Sundown

Riverdale is getting darker every single week. 

On Riverdale Season 2 Episode 4, the town continued to fear the Black Hood, who was still haunting the residents of the town. 

The killer sent a letter to Betty Cooper saying that her speech at the school was the thing that made him begin to purify the town of some of its biggest offenders. 

Along with the letter, he left a coded note that he said only she could decipher. She confided in her mother but kept the part about the letter out of the conversation. 

Betty, Kevin, Jughead, and Toni then joined forces to figure out what the letter meant. Somewhere along the way, Betty essentially said the Serpents were to blame for everything. 

Toni then countered that Jughead was hanging around with them in school and that she should probably consider that before throwing accusations around. 

Toni and Kevin left, and Betty woke up the next morning to countless calls from her mother for not letting her know where she was staying. Alice had previously said that she was worried sick every time Betty did not answer the phone to her. 

While all of this was going down, Archie was feeling the wrath of just about everyone for the Red Circle video. The football team had been disbanded until the red-head decided it was time to pull the plug on the group. 

After telling Veronica her father was the one who pushed him to take action, Veronica got on board with the cause. Archie went out at night and started painting red circles around town. 

He found himself in a scary situation when a Serpent pulled a knife out on him, but Archie started waving the gun around, and the boys disappeared. 

Archie was shocked in school when Keller showed up and said a shopkeeper had called the cops on him. His locker was checked, but the gun was nowhere in sight. 

Archie was suspended from school and asked Veronica to retrieve the gun for him. She said she threw it away, and that he was to calm down with all of the crazy drama. 

Reggie and the rest of the football team showed up, but things got scary when a group of serpents appeared and said that there would be a fight. Veronica told them not to use weapons, or she would call Keller in. 

At the fight, one of the serpents stabbed Dilton in the leg, and Veronica shot the gun to break up the fight. She and Archie then threw the gun into the river. 

Mayor McCoy called a town meeting and imposed a curfew on the town, but Betty and Jughead showed up to say the killer was going to strike. The killer somehow knew she was a fan of Nancy Drew and the book helped her decode the message. 

Betty got everyone out of the hall by setting off the fire alarm, thus, ruining the killer’s plan. The episode concluded with the killer calling her. Who the heck is it?!

Jenelle Evans Reacts to Child Abuse Claims in Epic Twitter Tirade, Goes to Town on Barbara

A non-stop whirlwind of fights, court dates, men and babies, Jenelle Evans’ life has been turbulent ever since she’s been a public figure.

Still, this week has been wild even by the Teen Mom 2 star’s standards, and she just cranked the tension up another notch … or 10.

Over the past week, the Carolina Hurricane has been accused of child neglect and abuse – by members of her own family, no less.

Specifically, that she was under CPS investigation for allegedly testing positive for marijuana and passing it along to her baby.

Jenelle welcomed her daughter Ensley this past January, reportedly having failed a drug test sometime during her pregnancy.

Already in the midst of several tense situations regarding custody, the revelation prompted backlash from her kids’ grandparents.

Nathan Griffith’s mom, Doris, wants emergency custody of Jenelle’s three-year-old son Kaiser, according to court documents.

Evans and Griffith split up two years ago; Jenelle is currently engaged to David Eason, who’s been under major scrutiny himself.

Jenelle’s mom, Barbara Evans, has full custody of her oldest son Jace (whose father is Andrew Lewis, who’s been MIA from day one).

Barbara has long resisted Jenelle’s efforts to regain custody of the boy, and now has banned Jenelle from seeing Jace entirely.

The older Evans added that Jace told her David abuses Kaiser because he looks like Nathan, a frankly disturbing allegation.

To hear Jenelle talk about it, though, you’d think she were the target of a witch hunt – or at least that her side of the story isn’t being heard.

According to the Teen Mom 2 firebrand, it’s Nathan Griffith that Child Protective Services should be concerned about here, not her.

Oh, and Barbara is just a hater, or something.

“Oh let’s not mention how you guys call CPS so many times they even have a copy of my book now and love to visit so thanks,” she tweeted.

“Yes CPS has been here and case closed every time. There’s a lot they are concerned about with the OTHER parent.”

Jenelle added, clearly referring to Nathan:

“That is why it was a race to court. My son was not being treated right on his visits so when I expressed that, it was a race to court.”

She then went OFF on her mom for selling her out publicly, saying, “We are handling this the best way we can as a family.”

“David [Eason] is the best thing that ever happened to me and my mother can’t seem to get over it,” Jenelle explained.

“She’s going to tell you all EVERYTHING she can that is bad about David to ruin his reputation cause I completely cut her out.”

“So she’s lashing back at me by posting articles and selling stories about her own daughter because it’s a scream and cry for attention.”

“But I don’t care,” she adds … and wishes.

Evans, who conveniently ignores some of the shocking claims against her (such as her non-compliance with drug testing), feels victimized.

Regarding Griffith’s mom’s case, Jenelle says that her mom is so vindictive and bent on payback that she’s going to help out her adversary:

“Now [Barbara] is going to bring up evidence from the past that would have been used against me in court and giving it to my ex’s mom.”

Jenelle has since deleted this rant.

Barbara said in an interview earlier this week that yes, she used the information about the CPS investigation in court – but had no choice.

The act of keeping a boy away from his mom is not something she’s happy about, but she says it’s her duty to protect Jace, end of story.

“I knew all along [about Ensley] and never exposed it until the day of court in May. All that time I never opened my mouth,” she said.

“That’s a fact,” she says of Jenelle’s drug tests. “I have Jace, so when something like that happens, they [CPS] contact me.” 

“I can’t send him over there when that’s happened,” Barbara adds of Jace, who she insists is her only concern in all of this.

“I don’t want to put him in that atmosphere.”
