Tristan Thompson, Cavs Suffer Humiliating Playoff Upset
If Tristan Thompson was hoping to find solace from his personal life in his professional life, well…
… he’ll need to hope that things turn around quickly for he and his basketball team.
On Sunday afternoon, in front of a sold out arena in Cleveland and millions of people watching across the country, Thompson’s Cavs were thumped by the Indiana Pacers in Game One of their Eastern Conference playoff matchup.
The final score was 98-80, as LeBron James suffered his first-ever career loss in a first round opener.
As Thompson himself?
Did he at least acquit himself well on the court, following a week in which he made news off of it for multiple alleged affairs behind the back (and pregnant belly) of Khloe Kardashian?
Not at all.
Thompson only played the final two minutes of the game, after the outcome was very much decided… and he did not score a single point.
Afterwards, no one on the team blamed Thompson or his wandering penis for serving as a distraction in the days leading up to the big game.
James said he’s been down three games to one in the NBA Finals and gone on to win the title, so he isn’t concerned here about the big picture.
But it’s hard not to wonder what the team talked about in the locker room and whether or not Thompson’s unethical actions played any role at all in the team underperforming to such a significant level.
To be clear, though:
Tristan wasn’t benched for cheating on Kardashian, considering he continually lost minutes to Larry Nance Jr. and Jeff Green as the season ticked down.
He simply can’t spread the floor for Cleveland in the same way he spread the legs of numerous women over the past few months while Khloe sat at home waiting to birth his daughter.
It’s just not a great time to be Tristan Thompson right now.
News of Thompson’s infidelity went viral late last week, just a day before Khloe welcomed a baby girl into the world.
Sources have confirmed that Thompson was in the room for the delivery, but Kardashian is expected to fly back to Los Angeles once she feels up for it and raise the baby far away from her father.
This is what sister Kim is reportedly encouraging her sibling to do.
Could anyone blame Khloe for listening and agreeing to this advice?
Thus far, however, neither Khloe nor Tristan has actually commented on this scandal.
No matter what you think of Thompson’s behavior, it is important to remember that a small human being is now in the picture.
Even if Khloe no longer wants to romance Tristan, she’ll need to work something out with him for the sake of her child.
In the meantime, the Cavs take on the Pacers in Game 2 this Wednesday night.
Will things finally turn around at all for the flailing power forward?

Meghan Markle: Why Her Father is Royally Upset at Prince Harry!
Hey, so, remember how Prince Harry kind of threw shade at Meghan Markle’s family?
Apparently, his offhand comment about how well his fiancee was getting along with his family managed to enrage all of his in-laws.
Including Meghan Markle’s father, who is reportedly “extremely hurt.”
Recently, the Ginger Prince himself spoke about how well Meghan Markle was getting along with the royal family.
Unfortunately, Harry may have gone a little too far in his praise.
At one point, he said this:
“She’s getting in there and it’s the family that I suppose she’s never had.”
That seems like a tremendous insult hurled at Meghan’s family — his future in-laws.
And it’s not going over well.
Thomas Markle Jr. reports to The Daily Mail that his father, Thomas Markle, is “extremely hurt” by Prince Harry’s words.
He spoke up in defense of his father’s family skills.
“He dedicated the majority of all his time and everything to her.”
Thomas Jr. is 51; 15 years older than Meghan. That tremendous age gap makes us wonder just how close they were.
“He made sure she had what she needed to be successful and get to where she’s at today.”
Having what you need to become successful isn’t all there is to family.
Thomas Jr. continues to defend his dad and Meghan’s upbringing.
“She’s had a really good family.”
Wendy Williams has pointed out that Meghan Markle’s family has had its … troubles, to say the least.
“We were as close as we could be, as tight as we could be, that’s what we were.”
Those are some interesting qualifiers for Thomas Jr. to use.
“We’d get together on Christmases, on holidays, on birthdays, on Thanksgivings.”
That sounds like the relationship that most people have with cousins who live out of state, not with their immediate family.
“It was always somewhere, even though we lived in different parts of [Los Angeles], we still all got together.”
We should probably mention that Thomas Jr. hasn’t actually spoken to his sister since 2011.
That’s nearly 7 years, folks.
“Obviously, she had a family. She was very privileged. She got everything she ever wanted.”
It’s always suspicious to hear one person say that another always got whatever they wanted. No one can speak to that but the person in question.
“We did the best that we could in terms of getting together for holidays and whatnot.”
Thomas Jr. follows up his defense of the Markle family by adding that he’d really love an invitation to the royal wedding.
“I don’t know if she gets to invite who she wants. But she’ll reach out if she wants me there, she’ll call me.”
That seems less likely after this interview, don’t you think?
“She knows where to find me. But that’s up to her, there’s no pressure.”
By virtue of saying this in an interview, he’s applying pressure. But he also makes it clear that his interest in attending the wedding is hardly personal:
“I wouldn’t mind seeing my little sister have the biggest wedding in the world. That would be incredible. … If my dad doesn’t walk her down the aisle, then I will.”
Before Thomas Jr. talked about how neat it would be to see his estranged sister get married, another Markle had already weighed in.
Meghan Markle’s half-sister clapped back at Prince Harry. Apparently, that’s just Samantha Grant’s style, as she said:
“She has a large family. She always did. Our dad is amazing and completely self sacrificing. We made it so that she had two houses. How fun it was!”
Look, you can put a positive spin on divorce all that you like. Sometimes, a divorce is the best thing that ever happens to a family.
But just because you’re happy with the way that things were doesn’t mean that everyone was.
If, as appears to be the case, Meghan has told Harry less-than-happy feelings about her family growing up, those are her experiences to share.
It’s wildly uncool for her siblings to “correct” her feelings just because they want their names in some headlines.

Selena Gomez: Her Mom"s Upset About More than Justin Bieber
Selena’s mom, Mandy Teefey, doesn’t love that she’s back with her ex. To the point where Mandy had a breakdown and went to the hospital because she couldn’t deal with it.
However, we’re hearing a claim that there’s more to Selena’s tensions with her mom than the Biebs.
And apparently, it’s a beef that goes back for years.
Selena’s mom, Mandy Teefey, was distressed — to the point where she required hospitalization — when she learned that Selena and Justin are in couples therapy.
This isn’t one of those Scientology things where Mandy’s just super anti-therapy or whatever.
No, what had Mandy so bent out of shape was the haunting, ugly realization that Selena’s little reunion with Justin wasn’t just a temporary thing.
Selena seems to be serious about resuming her relationship with the Biebs.
And quite frankly, that’s every mother’s nightmare.
No, this isn’t just about the fact that Justin Bieber isn’t hot anymore.
This is a bit more serious.
The reason that Selena Gomez’s whole family hates Justin is because they had front-row seats to the damage that her relationship with him did to mental health and her emotional well-being.
Now they’re watching her fight Lupus and are worried that she’ll soon be fighting on two fronts as Justin’s personal issues and bad behavior once again take their toll on the talented singer.
Besides, he wasted years of her youth before she got Lupus. Even if his behavior is totally different now, that’s not something that a mother could forgive easily.
If at all.
However, E! reports that there’s more putting a strain on Selena’s relationship with her mom than just her choice in penises.
“Selena has always said that the one person that means the most to her is her mom, Mandy.”
However, this source says that not everything’s perfect in their dynamic.
“But still, they’ve had a really complicated relationship and have gone through a lot of ups and downs.”
Everybody has their ups and downs — even if you have a great relationship with your mom.
But apparently, for Selena, the low points could be really, really low.
There was apparently an “entire year” during which Selena and Mandy didn’t speak, after Selena dropped Mandy as her manager back in 2014.
“It caused a huge rift in their relationship. Mandy wouldn’t even let Selena talk to her sister for a long time.”
That sounds awful.
“Mandy and Selena’s stepdad really did everything they could for Selena.”
That stepdad being Brian Teefey. Though, to be fair, that’s your obligation as parents. You don’t get a prize for that.
“So when she fired her it took a toll on Mandy emotionally and professionally.”
“Mandy lost her clout as a manager after Selena left. It caused a major rift in their relationship but they eventually reconnected.”
Honestly? We’re totally Team Mandy when it comes to the resurrection of Jelena.
(We do think that she’s going about it the wrong way. Just say a few words, then outwardly accept it, suffer in silence, and then offer her a shoulder to cry on when she realizes her mistake)
But, based on this, it sounds like Selena was in the right back in 2014. She was, what, 22?
That’s old enough to have a manager that’s not your mom. It sounds like Mandy may have just taken that the wrong way.
