Lady Gaga: I Have a Mental Illness...
Lady Gaga has opened up like never before.
Never one to shy away from an opinion (ask her about Melania Trump) or to be anything but true to herself, the artist recently visited the Ali Forney Center, a shelter for homeless LGBT youth located in Harlem.
She did so on behalf of the #ShareKindness campaign, a movement started by The Today Show and NBCUniversal which celebrates kind acts of all types and all sizes.
Speaking to Today about her visit and this movement in general, Gaga said the following:
“Kindness, to me, is an action of love or a showing of love to someone else. I also believe that kindness is the cure to violence and hatred around the world.
“I like to share kindness in a lot of different ways.”
She continued:
“I love to give things to people that have nothing or less than me. These children are not just homeless or in need. Many of them are trauma survivors; they’ve been rejected in some kind of way.
“My own trauma in my life has helped me to understand the trauma of others.”
Yes, her trauma.
In 2014, Gaga revealed that she was raped at the age of 19.
But she opened up for the first time about the aftermath of this horrible incident during her time with the homeless residents of this shelter.
“I don’t have the same kind of issues that you have,” she told the group during a meditation session.
“But I have a mental illness and I struggle with that every day, so I need my mantra to help keep me relaxed.”
I have a mental illness.
There are words you don’t hear uttered very often by a celebrity.
Gaga elaborated on her admission when speaking with Today.
“I told the kids today that I suffer from a mental illness. I suffer from PTSD. I’ve never told anyone that before, so here we are,” she said, adding:
“The kindness that’s been shown to me by doctors – as well as my family and my friends – it’s really saved my life.”
Gaga said she’s learned to try and help anyone who has suffered through a trauma by simply injecting them with as many “positive thoughts” as possible.
It’s vital for people to remind the homeless youth “that they’re not alone and that they’re loved,” Gaga expounded. “I am no better than any of those kids, and I’m no worse than any of them.
“We are equal. We both walk our two feet on the same earth and we’re in this together. We as a world are suffering from war…Kindness is the way to becoming more harmonious.”
Amen, Lady Gaga.

Lady Gaga Praises Kanye West, Hits Out at Trolls
Lady Gaga is not about to let trolls trash Kanye West in the wake of him winding up in hospital.
There are conflicting reports about why Kanye was actually hospitalized, but it seems like it’s either exhaustion, or a mental breakdown.
Kanye is probably most well known for speaking his mind.
Whether he’s calling Taylor Swift out for being a liar, or trashing Beyonce, he really has no filter.
However, Lady Gaga was quick to point out to her followers that the rapper should not be mocked during this tough time.
In a series of tweets, she went to town on the trolls and extended her well wishes to West.
“It’s not funny to joke about anyone’s possible or not possible mental illness, this is a sensitive time for many,” she wrote.
“Let’s be kind & loving.”
“While I don’t agree with everything he does I hope the public shows compassion and ❤️ for @kanyewest and each other. One love. One Race,” she continued.
While you would be hard pressed to find anyone who agrees with everything Kanye says, Gaga is not letting that come in the way of making sure he is okay.
“@kanyewest i support & love u brother, I see in you bravery & courage to stop this tour & take care of YOU. You are a GREAT artist.”
If you’ve been keeping tabs on what’s been going down, you probably already know that Kanye has been acting erratically for quite some time.
That allegedly came to a head earlier this week when there were concerns about his welfare in the wake of him canceling the remainder of his Saint Pablo Tour.
His wife, Kim Kardashian rushed to be with him shortly after learning what was going on with her husband.
There’s nothing quite like have your loved ones around you in times of need.
It’s a horrible situation for anyone to be in, but we’re sure he has the love and support of his loved ones who will be able to help him back to perfect health.

Lady Gaga: Barefoot and Beautiful at American Music Awards
If Selena Gomez delivered the most moving acceptance speech at the 2016 American Music Awards, then we have Lady Gaga to thank for delivering the most moving performance.
Just a few weeks after the release of her latest album, Gaga took to the stage toward the end of the ceremony and sat down for a rendition of "Million Reasons.
She had a guitar in her hands and nothing covering her feet.
Introduced by her American Horror Story: Hotel co-star Matt Bomer, the singer formerly known as Stefani Germanotta proceeded to move most viewers to tears by singing this track off the album "Joanne."
Gaga appeared to be fighting back tears while singing the emotional ballad under a sky of fake stars.
And she wasn"t the only one.
An endless number of users took to Twitter and said that the beloved artist caused them to break down at home. We admit it got very dusty in our living room, that"s for certain.
Expect to hear and see plenty more from Gaga over the next couple months, in the lead-up to her Super Bowl halftime show.

Lady Gaga Slams Melania Trump: What a Huge Hypocrite!
Unlike other celebrities out there, Lady Gaga does not think Melania Trump is a brainless b-tch.
At least not in so many words.
But the musical superstar isn’t a big fan of the aspiring First Lady, explaining why in a pointed Tweet over the weekend.
Gaga felt a need to speak out after Trump gave a speech late last week in which she came down hard on the issue of cyber-bullying.
Melania said this would be a major focus of hers as First Lady, if the Apocalypse really did befall humanity and her husband was elected to the Oval Office.
Thats a wonderful cause, of course, but Gaga said on social media what many of us were thinking:
How can Melania Trump claim to care about bullying? Has she ever listened to her husband speak or read his Twitter account?!?
“To say u will stand for ‘anti-bullying’ is hypocrisy,” wrote Gaga. “Your husband is 1 of the most notorious bullies we have ever witnessed.”
It’s true.
And Gaga has established the non-profit Born This Way Foundation, which is aimed at combating online bullying and promoting mental health awareness.
She speaks from a background of someone familiar with this problem and as someone trying to do something about it.
Said Melania in the speech in question:
“Like anything that is powerful, [social media] can have a bad side. Children and teenagers can be fragile. They’re hurt when they’re made fun of or made to feel less in looks or intelligence.
“This makes their life hard and can force them to hide and retreat. Our culture has gotten too mean and too rough, especially to children and teenagers. It is never ok when a 12-year-old girl or boy is mocked, bullied, or attacked…
“We have to find a better way to talk to each other, to disagree with each other, to respect each other.”
Yes, for sure. Absolutely.
Melania just might want to see what Donald Trump has said over the past several months about Muslims, immigrants and women before taking up the topic of bullying.
Or at least before taking it up with anyone outside of her own bedroom.
Poor Melania has been the subject of much ridicule during this Presidential campaign.
She plagiarized large portions of her Republican National Convention speech from Michelle Obama and then she ridiculously blamed Billy Bush for egging her husband on during the infamous Access Hollywood video from 2005.
Meanwhile, Lady Gaga also slammed the Republican candidate on a television show in Japan last week, where she spent several days promoting her latest studio album, Joanne.
“The truth is that, as an insider, because I am a celebrity, I have insight into the type of person that Donald Trump is,” she said.
“The truth is that we celebrities know that he is an actor, and that this is an act. So, we are standing with Hillary [Clinton] not just because she is far superior as the choice for president, but we are also standing with her because it would be a complete disaster to elect someone that is essentially a political impostor.”
Gaga has even changed the name on her Twitter handle to “#VoteHillary.”
We’ll find out on Tuesday night whether a majority of people in the nation follow this hashtag.

Lady Mary: Downton Abbey Creator Reveals What She"s Doing Now
After six successful season, Downton Abbey may be over, but that doesn’t mean its characters stopped existing.
While series creator Julianne Fellowes prepares for the Emmy Awards (Downton is nominated in two categories), he spoke to Deadline Hollywood at The London Hotel in West Hollywood about the impact his show has had on the American audience.
Fellowes is quite proud of the way he wrapped the British series.
Instead of leaving viewers hanging as he’s done in the past, Fellowes ended things on a high note.
“I feel that if an audience has been loyal to you for six years, they deserve to go away from the last episode feeling good,” he said.
“And Edith, especially, deserved a happy ending.
I had teased people, with the end of the series before the Christmas special—with once again, it had all gone wrong. But it came right in the end, and I wanted her to outrank Mary.”
Edith had fallen in love with a man who ended up inheriting a Marquess title from his late cousin, making Edith a Marchioness, which meant she ranked higher in the British aristocratic hierarchy than Mary, who was only a Lady.
Don’t worry about Mary, though.
“It’s never “poor Mary,” Fellowes insists.
“She would survive the 1917 Revolution. She’d become a Commissar.”
What sort of life does Fellowes’ leading lady live post-Downton?
“My own belief is that Mary, whether you like her or dislike her, is a hard worker, and she’s practical. I think she will employ the kind of advice that she needs,” Fellowes predicts.
“She would probably have opened the house to the public in the 1960s, as so many of them did, and she’d have retreated to a wing, and maybe only occupied the whole house during the winter.”
Many families with stately homes opted to open their doors to the public, treating the estate as a sort of museum. The money raised from admission fees would then help to keep up with the costs of running a place such as Downton Abbey.
“My own belief is the Crawleys would still be there, just as the Carnarvons are today [in the real Highclere Castle, where Downton was filmed],” Fellowes said.
“George [Mary’s son] would have gone to the Second World War, and of course the fear is that he would be killed.
“We know that Mary is pregnant, so there’s going to be another child.
“As for the title, I don’t know where it would go beyond George, but let’s hope he gets through the war and has children of his own,” Fellowes continued.
“George was born in 1921, which makes him nine years younger than my father, and he only died in 1999. If he lived to the same age as my father, he’d have died in 2008, which takes us right into the modern age.”
Well, there’s seasons 7-10 right there. Somewhere on the Highclere estate, Lady Mary’s great-great granddaughter is sneaking a cigarette with her equally naughty friends.
