Paris Hilton: My Sex Tape Leaking Was Like Being Raped
Paris Hilton is known for her looks, her brand, her reality television career, and even for acting and music. Unfortunately, she is also known for a leaked sex tape.
In a new documentary, the businesswoman is opening up about that intensely public violation of her personal sex life.
She says that the feeling was akin to a sexual assault.
For the past few months, Paris Hilton’s fans have been noticing that her account has been tweeting some very on-point, recent memes.
It’s no coincidence that she appears in the documentary, American Meme.
That documentary has now premiered at Tribeca Film Festival.
And in it, she addresses the 2004 leaked sex tape of her with ex-boyfriend Rick Salomon. And Paris is not mincing words.
“It was like being raped.”
Leaked sex tapes, like leaked nudes and revenge porn, are a tremendous violation of someone’s privacy and sex life.
“It felt like I’d lost part of my soul and been talked about in such cruel and mean ways.”
She was heartbroken.
“I literally wanted to die at some points. I was like, ‘I just don’t want to live,’ because I thought everything was taken away from me.”
Despite her sexy image, Paris is really not prone to promiscuity, and she worried that the entire world misunderstood her.
“I didn’t want to be known as that.”
At a post-screening Q&A session, Paris talks about how she rose to fame.
“I felt like the world was introduced to me through The Simple Life.“
Technically, she first garnered attention thanks to a photoshoot with her sister, but people “got to know” her on reality television.
Which, she reminds us all, was still fairly uncommon at the time.
“There was no reality television back then, so it was very new.”
Reality television really took off during the 2007-2008 writer’s strike that saw many shows canceled before their time, and saw networks eager to fill time slots with programming that did not require writers.
“There was no social media, so I basically created this character that was basically what I thought the audience wanted.”
Paris is both intelligent and talented, but she built her brand on a very different image.
“Like, ‘Oh, she’s rich, so she needs to be a spoiled airhead’ — basically what the producers told me to do.”
Still speaking at the Q&A, Paris says of the director:
“When Bert told me about this film, he basically said, ‘Paris, you’re the O.G. of all this."”
She really is. Remember, Kim Kardashian was once basically just her sidekick.
“I really trusted him and was very vulnerable about things I had never spoken about before.”
Not everyone gets to see the real Paris.
“And basically just wanted to show the real me, because I don’t think I ever have before.”
It’s good that she was able to put herself out there.
During the documentary, Paris reveals the struggles that she has encountered after having risen to fame whens he was so young.
“It’s like I’ve been 21 for the last two decades.”
That might not sound like a curse, but it doesn’t really help people to know or respect her.
Paris also shares little details about herself and her thoughts.
She mentions that she is afraid that there’s no afterlife, which she says would be bad because: “that’d be so boring.”
True.
Paris refers to her engagement to actor Chris Zylka and her enthusiasm for where her life is heading.
“I’m very excited for the next phase of my life and to start a family and find true happiness.”
Given how pampered Paris’ dogs are, she has a nurturing soul and will make a wonderful mother.
“Because yes, this is so much fun — I love what I’m doing, it’s great being in Ibiza every summer DJing until eight in the morning.”
“But sometimes it gets a little tiring.”
Paris is 37. We get it.
“I’m still going to continue being the girl boss I am, but I’m also going to be a mom, and I can’t wait for that day.”
Paris and Chris Zylka have both appeared on The CW as actors.
Zylka was one of the stars of The Secret Circle, a massively underrated series.
Paris herself was a guest star on Veronica Mars back when it was called The WB, and she later guest starred as an old world god who had shapeshifted into the Paris Hilton on Supernatural, back before the series jumped the shark.
Chris Zylka has also appeared in films, from indie hits like Kaboom to blockbusters like The Amazing Spider-Man.
Paris Hilton has appeared in cameos in films like Zoolander and taken on larger, more involved roles, such as in Repo: The Genetic Opera.
This is a talented couple, and they each deserve happiness.

Oksana Grigorieva Loses $14.75M of Settlement For Leaking Mel Gibson Tapes
Oksana Grigorieva was originally supposed to receive $ 15 million in her settlement with Mel Gibson, but will only be getting 1/60 of that.
Yes, one-sixtieth. She has only herself to blame, too.
The Russian model and mother to the one-time couple’s six-year-old daughter, Lucia, will only receive $ 250,000 from the Oscar winner.
Domestic abuse claims she made in an interview on The Howard Stern Show in 2013 cost her $ 14,750,000, according to court documents.
Gibson pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of battery (saving him jail time), originally agreeing to a custody settlement of $ 15 million.
The only stipulation was a big one, and clear:
If Grigorieva vowed not to release damning information about the actor and director to the public, then she would receive that amount.
Didn’t happen.
Oksana told police just months later that Gibson had punched her as well as threatened her life and brandished a gun around Lucia.
Subsequently, the Mel Gibson tapes surfaced.
In a series of disturbing audio recordings, the actor sounded deranged as he told her she “deserved” the assault he allegedly committed.
He added that he would “bury” her and burn down her residence, as well as the fact that she sucks at music and various other insults.
It was bad. Very bad. But it cost her too.
After a year of legal wrangling, they settled on a much more modest $ 750,000, which Gibson agreed to dole out to her in three installments.
He was set to pay $ 250,000 after the releases were signed, $ 250,000 by September 2013 and a final installment by September 2016.
The judge warned her not to speak publicly about the case or any of the allegations against Mel, or that settlement would be void as well.
Again, she didn’t listen.
Gibson had paid the first of the $ 250,000 installments, but the California Court of Appeals ruled that he won’t have to pay the other $ 500,000.
Thus, Grigorieva will only receive 1/60 of the original $ 15 million she left on the table, thanks to leaking the tapes and talking to Stern.
Totally worth it.

Ben Affleck: Accusing Jennifer Garner of Dragging Out Divorce, Leaking Secrets?!
It’s been almost a full year since we first learned that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are getting divorced.
By now, we’re sure you know where this is going – both parties have yet to pull the trigger and actually file for divorce.
The question is why?
If the plan all along was just to separate but continue to live on the same property and amicably co-parent, why make it public?
Typically, when couples announce their plans to divorce, it means they’re getting ready to file papers, and they don’t want TMZ to get the scoop when they do.
In Ben and Jen’s case, however, the announcement seemed to actually help their relationship.
Just weeks after word of the split went public, Affleck and Garner were attending marriage counseling sessions and getting photographed in public.
So why not go the other route and announce that you’re trying to make it work.
It’s almost as if someone is benefiting from all of hoopla surrounding the divorce.
We’re guessing it’s not Ben.
After all, the guy is about to make history by going full Orson Welles on a standalone Batman film.
Plus, anyone who saw Batfleck’s performance on the new Bill Simmons show that no one asked for last night can attest to the fact that the man is clearly going off the rails:
No one spends their Wednesday slurring sh-tfacted conspiracy theories about Deflategate because things are going so well at home, ya know?
So that leaves Jen – and one insider claims Ben believes she’s drawing out the separation drama on purpose:
“Ben thinks Jen doesn’t want to expedite the divorce because she is having so much fun creating stories herself,” a source close to the situation tells Radar Online.
And what would she stand to gain by all this?
Well, for one, her career has entered the Capital One commercial phase, and yet she’s still a household name, largely because of the continued drama surrounding her relationship with Ben.
In addition, sources claim Jen has a number of dark secrets in her personal life, but they go unnoticed, as the public is focused on digging up dirt about Ben:
“She definitely has skeletons in her closet that no one has looked into because everyone has been focused on the negative attention she’s drawn to Ben’s demons,” says one insider.
Apparently, Ben has agreed to the arrangement, so long as she doesn’t drag his name through the mud:
“Still they have agreed to call a truce on making each other look bad,” says the source.
“Jen promised to keep a tighter leash on what she and her team say from now on.”
So if you’re keeping score at home: Ben is okay with turning his marriage into a reality show, but he is not okay with you frickin’ tawkin’ trash about Tahm Brady!

Amy Duggar & Dillon King Deny Leaking Anna Duggar Pregnant Rumor, Other Family Gossip
The former Amy Duggar and husband Dillon King are adamantly denying that they are the “family source” leaking Duggar gossip online.
Yes, they actually stand accused of that following reports that Anna Duggar is pregnant, and critics say the evidence is pretty strong …
Amy, cousin to the 19 Kids & Counting clan, may seem an unlikely figure to be caught in the raging torrent of social media criticism.
All who use the Duggar name as a claim to fame are under fire lately, though, given the non-stop string of scandals dogging the family.
To wit, Dillon King went off on Facebook last weekend, strongly noting that marrying into the family “doesn’t mean I don’t have a job.”
He isn’t stopping there, either, mixing it up with fans grilling him on actions that seem to contradict his claims of not cashing in on fame.
The common theme: Why, if he doesn’t mean to capitalize on his wife’s last name, did he and Amy push for a TLC wedding special?
Moreover, why did he ask fans to lobby the network for that same thing, and why do they give interviews and comment publicly on anything?
King denies being affected by the cancelation of 19 Kids and Counting, yet still refers to himself as a “public figure” on his Facebook.
It may be a little bit of a leap, but Duggar observers have come to believe that the “source close to the family” must be Amy and Dillon.
The oft-cited and unnamed “source” has leaked various stories to the media over the past year, most notably that Anna Duggar is pregnant.
Supposedly. The rumor hit the web and spread like wildfire last week, and King was asked by fans whether he and Amy are behind it.
While the rest of the Duggars are radio silent, King denies that he and Amy are the source … but doesn’t deny that she’s knocked up.
He did, however, imply that they’ve been the leak for other tales from Duggar Nation when he said that his quotes are taken out of context.
Dillon didn’t say which quotes were taken out of context, exactly, but Amy and her man have not been shy about voicing their opinions.
Amy openly called Josh Duggar a fraud recently, while Dillon said Brad Paisley roasting Josh at the CMAs was the “best thing ever.”
These aren’t passing, one-off remarks, either. Amy also said Josh is “too selfish to even realize” how many people he hurt with his actions.
