Abby Lee Miller: Back on Dance Moms! BLASTING Laurieann Gibson!
If people in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones, then what are the restrictions for people in prison?
As we’re sure that you remember — because who could forget? — Abby Lee Miller went to prison for bankruptcy fraud. And yes, she’s still in the big house … if that’s still a euphemism for prison.
But, through the magic of television, reality TV airs weeks or even months after being filmed. So Abby Miller is still on Dance Moms … sort of … and has a load of insults to share about the new dance teacher.
Abby Lee Miller must have some nerve.
We can’t honestly claim to be surprised, after all of her ridiculous aggression that she’s displayed on season after season of Dance Moms.
Dance Moms is one of those reality shows that’s hard to watch sometimes.
The moms and Abby are entertaining when they’re snipping at each other, sure.
But it kind of just feels like Toddlers and Tiaras, except that the girls whose lives are getting ruined right before your eyes aren’t just toddlers.
Now, though, Dance Moms has a new dance instructor, since Abby is in prison. A-list choreographer Laurieann Gibson is there for the girls.
It’s a brand new day.
We learned some details about the next episode of Dance Moms, and a familiar face will be appearing.
Abby Lee Miller, with all of the calm and nuance of Nancy Grace and her general likability, too, had some issues with the choice that the various dance mothers had made.
We’re guessing that Abby’s real issue was that they felt that the show could go on without her.
Abby seemed to challenge Laurieann’s qualifications, because she had previously worked with older girls rather than starting with them when they were toddlers.
Ashlee Allen, one of the moms of the series, defended their choice.
“You put us all in a situation where we had to find somebody else, and when [Laurieann] came in, she was tons of energy and she was invested and she was here and she was working.”
Abby decided to characterize Laurieann a little differently:
“Well, she’s desperate for work. I’ve been working for six years non-stop … How good are you when you don’t win?”
Abby’s priorities are more than a little nuts, but we knew that already.
Mom Jill Vertes gave Abby what we can only describe as a taste of her own medicine.
“It’s about creating workable dancers, not about doing the same eight-count and 52 turns to win a plastic trophy… [The girls] love Laurieann Gibson. They said they didn’t want you coming back.”
First of all, that’s great because she’s acknowledging that there are priorities other than winning.
Second of all, it’s great that the girls love Laurieann Gibson — something that we already knew — because these dance lessons are all supposed to be for the girls.
(Not for their moms, not for the glorification of Abby, and really not even for the viewers)
But third of all, that “they didn’t want you coming back” was something that Abby really needed to hear.
Maybe, while Abby Lee Miller sits in her prison cell and processes everything that she’s done with her life and all of the choices that she’s made so far, she’ll come to understand why the girls she trained don’t seem to care for her.
if she gets to see Laurieann’s teaching style, maybe Abby could even learn how to be a better person.
She still maintains that she’s innocent of bankruptcy fraud, by the way, so we guess that she won’t learn any life lessons about crime.
Abby has been sentenced to serve 366 days in prison, though, so there’s time for just about anything.
No matter what Abby takes away from her experience, though, we’re glad that the girls are learning with Laurieann.

Mel Gibson Welcomes NINTH Child, Remains a Terrible Person
There are now nearly as many Mel Gibson kids out there as there are tapes of the actor berating women and insulting Jewish people.
And that’s because Gibson just welcomed his ninth kid into the world.
Yes, his NINTH kid!
In news broken by People Magazine, Gibson and his girlfriend of two years, Rosalind Ross, are now parents to a boy named Lars Gerard.
He was born on January 20 in Los Angeles and weighed in at the time at 5 pounds, 5 ounces.
“They’re thrilled and Lars is adorable. Their family is all around them and Mel is over the moon. They’re home and everybody is healthy and happy!” a very enthusiastic source tells the publication.
Gibson and Ross confirmed that the latter was expecting back in September.
The anti-Semitic star is having a pretty good week, as his latest directorial effort, Hacksaw Ridge, was just nominated for Best Picture at the 2017 Academy Awards.
He’s already a father to eight other children from previous relationships.
They are:
- A daughter Hannah named Hannah.
- A son named Edward.
- A son named Christian.
- A son named William.
- A son named Louis.
- A son named Milo.
- A son named Thomas.
All of these kids are the product of Gibson’s 28-year marriage to former dental nurse Robyn Moore.
He also has a six-year old daughter ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, from whom Gibson had a contentious and violent split.
“Mel loves being a dad, and he and Rose can’t wait to be parents together,” a family friend of the pair previously told People. “The last two years have been some of his happiest years he’s ever had.”
Gibson is 60 years old and Ross is 26 years old, which may explain why these past two years have been so great for him.
We don’t like Gibson very much, but we still send him and his girlfriend our best wishes.
There’s a baby in the picture now. All that matters is his health and happiness.

Thomas Gibson on Criminal Minds Set: What Really Happened?
Thomas Gibson is no longer a cast member on Criminal Minds.
But that doesn’t mean we’re done talking about Thomas Gibson and/or what led to his departure from Criminal Minds.
In news that loyal fans of this CBS drama still are having difficulty processing, Gibson was fired from his role as Aaron Hotchner this summer after allegedly attacking a writer on set.
He appeared in the first two episodes of Criminal Minds Season 12, but will not be seen on the hit series again.
Over the weekend, Virgil Williams, the writer with whom Gibson clashed, hosted an interactive workshop for students aspiring to work in the entertainment industry.
As part of an interview with People Magazine at the event, he addressed what went down with Gibson.
“He came to me with a line change that he wanted,” Williams said, explaining:
“I felt that change would have hurt the story, but I offered him [an alternative] fix. He didn’t accept the fix and walked off.”
Shortly this exchange, an heated more heated conversation took place between Williams and Gibson, according to the former, who added that Gibson kicked him in the shin as he walked by.
It was the elevation of a verbal argument into a physical confrontation that led to Gibson’s departure.
Previously, however, Gibson had told People a different story.
“He came into that room and started coming towards me,” Gibson said in September of Williams.
“As he brushed past me, my foot came up and tapped him on the leg. If I hadn’t moved, he would have run into me.
“We had some choice words, for which I apologized the next day, and that was it. It was over. We shot the scene, I went home – and I never got to go back.”
Gibson says he was then informed of a two-week suspension, which turned into a firing just a couple days after news of the suspension went viral.
Since his departure, Criminal Minds has seen a decrease in ratings, while a Twitter campaign (#NoHotchNoWatch) has been launched in attempt to get his character, special agent Aaron Hotchner, back on the drama.
Don’t expect that to happen any time soon, though, if at all.
At the aforementioned gathering in Los Angeles, Williams admitted that he misses Hotchner because he “got to write” him as a character.
Moreover, because the alleged kick and subsequent firing took place while filming had begun on new episodes, everything happened very quickly.
Williams also told People that writing off Gibson “hasn’t been smooth, adding:
“It was very abrupt. But we tried to do it seamlessly and move on. We’re going to keep moving forward and we’re going to keep telling great stories.”
To all those people who are demanding the return of Gibson, perhaps you ought to step back and acknowledge that happened.
This isn’t some conspiracy. No show wants to lose its lead actor.
But if he was truly violent on set? If he truly created a hostile work environment? If he truly harassed and abused writers for not giving in to his demands?
Well… how are you protesting this or complaining about it? How is there any argument over whether or not he had to be let go?
