Whitey Bulger, Notorious Mobster, Found Dead in Prison

Whitey Bulger, one of the most notorious gangsters in American history, was found dead at 8:20 a.m. on Tuesday inside U.S. Penitentiary Hazelton in West Virginia.

He was 89 years old.

According to TMZ and other outlets, Bulger had only just been moved to this facility, after having been spending his life sentence behind bars in Florida.

He was transferred briefly to Oklahoma City last week and had only just recently arrived in Hazelton shortly before his murder.

Bulger had manage to evade federal authorities for more than 16 years prior to his arrest in June 2011.

He was found guilty in 2013 for his role in 11 murders, although it is believed he took part in many more than that.

In November of that same year, Bulger was sentenced to two life terms plus five years for his role as architect of a criminal enterprise that, in the words of a federal judge, committed “unfathomable” acts that terrorized a city.

Overall, Bulger was found guilty at the time on 31 counts, including racketeering, extortion, money laundering, drug dealing and weapons possession.

“The testimony of human suffering that you and your associates inflicted on others was at times agonizing to hear and painful to watch,” US District Court Judge Denise Casper said at the crime boss’ sentencing, adding:

“At times, I wish we were watching a movie, that what we were hearing was not real.

“But as the families of victims know all too well, it’s not a movie.”

Bulger’s life was documented on the big screen on multiple occasions, however.

Most famously, Johnny Depp portrayed Bulger himself in the 2015 film Black Mass.

It’s also widely assumed that Jack Nicholson’s character in The Departed was based on Bulger.

Details regarding Bulger’s death remain almost entirely unknown at this time.

A union official for correctional officers at the high-security prison told WV News there was a homicide at the facility, yet couldn’t say whether it was Bulger.

Hank Brennan, Bulger’s lawyer, told BuzzFeed News, he couldn’t “confirm or deny it at this point.”

“The Federal Bureau of Investigation was notified and an investigation has been initiated. No staff or other inmates were injured, and at no time was the public in danger,” the Bureau of Prisons said in a statement.

An original photo released by the FBI in 1984 depicts James “Whitey” Bulger.

In 2016, auctioned items seized from Bulger’s Santa Monica, California, apartment raised almost $ 110,000 to compensate victims’ families.

He was born on September 3, 1929, in Dorchester, Massachusetts.

Bulger had a son with a waitress and former model named Lindsey Cyr, but he died at the age of six from Reye syndrome after having an allergic reaction to an aspirin injection in 1973.

We hope he does not rest in any kind of peace.

Charles Manson Dies; Notorious Murderer Was 83

Charles Manson–arguably the most notorious criminal of the 20th century–has passed away at the age of 83.

News of Manson’s passing was revealed by Debra Tate, the sister of his most famous victim, who says she was notified by officials from Corcoran State Prison on Sunday night.

TMZ confirmed the news of Manson’s death moments ago.

Manson was transported to a hospital in Bakersfield, California last week after suffering intestinal bleeding.

It was Manson’s second hospitalization in the past year, and on both occasions, doctors reported that the longtime inmate was too weak for surgery.

“It’s just a matter of time,” one hospital source told TMZ on Tuesday.

Manson’s crimes and subsequent trial captivated millions of Americans in the late 1960s and early ’70s.

Though he was never accused of taking a life with his own hands, the charismatic cult leader was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder in connection with the 1969 deaths of actress Sharon Tate and six others.

For many, Manson became a living symbol for the death of the 1960s hippie movement and its culture of pacifism and free love.

In the decades since his arrest, his name has became synonymous with evil.

Born to an unmarried 16-year-old runaway in 1934, Manson was placed with an aunt and uncle following his mother’s imprisonment for robbery when he was just 5 years old.

Manson’s life of crime began at an early age, and he was first imprisoned at the age of 13 following a string of robberies.

After a youth spent primarily in various detention centers, Manson was transferred to Terminal Island prison in Los Angeles in 1967.

Manson

Following his release, Manson experienced a modicum of success as a musician, recording an album’s worth of folk songs and collaborating with members of the Beach Boys.

Fame eluded Manson as a singer and songwriter, but it was in his role as a sadistic cult leader that he would become a figure of international infamy.

It was at Spahn Ranch in Chatsworth, California that Manson attracted a “family” of drifters and outsiders who, under his instruction, carried out the murders of Sharon Tate, Abigail Ann Folger, Wojciech Frykowski, Steven Earl Parent, Jay Sebring Leno, and Rosemary La Bianca.

At the time of her death, Tate was pregnant with her first child by famed director Roman Polanski.

Nearly fifty years after the murders that made him infamous, Manson hold on the public’s imagination is such that he became the number one trending topic on Twitter within minutes of the announcement of his death.

Lil" Kim on Hollywood Medium: WHO Killed Notorious B.I.G.?

With Tyler Henry"s endearing smiles and different celebrity guests every week, Hollywood Medium has an easy time winning people over.

But, obviously, every single conversation relates to somebody"s dead loved ones. So it"s a bittersweet experience. Sometimes there are tears.

When Tyler Henry sat down with Lil" Kim in the video below, she asked the question that everybody wants answered: Who murdered Notorious B.I.G.?

Lil kim

Christopher Wallace, also known as Notorious B.I.G. but also as Biggie Smalls, was and remains one of the greatest and most influential rappers of all time.

Depending upon your age, you may just know him as the guy whose portrait was on the wall on Luke Cage.

Or maybe as the Blood Mary parody ghost on that one episode of South Park back in 2006.

But, trust us — he"s a legend.

He was also very famously murdered in a drive-by shooting on March 9th, 1997.

You know those instances when a singer passes away and their music tops the charts?

That happened to Notorious B.I.G."s album, which was unfortunately titled Life After Death.

He was actually the first to posthumously top the charts like that.

He was lovers with Lil" Kim during the "90s and of course had a tremendous impact upon her career as well as influence upon her music.

So everybody paid attention when Lil" Kim sat down with Tyler Henry.

Long live da king

But no, this isn"t an episode of some super weird crime drama, so Tyler Henry didn"t reveal who killed Notorious B.I.G.

He did have a lot to say about impressions that he got about Lil" Kim.

"One of the impressions that did come through was a memory right before his passing, of him standing outside of a residence and he acknowledges this memory of looking out, taking a deep breath and the feeling is like his soul was preparing to go even though he consciously didn"t know what was about to fully happen."

Sometimes people realize that their life could be snuffed out at any moment.

But yes, he talks about the murder:

"It is interesting to note, he is having me bring up two people, two people, two people and showing me two people conspiring."

"There"s a feeling of almost like people talking or hearing that someone might not have wanted him to live. He"s showing me a symbol of death threat and then not taking death threat seriously, which would indicate if we don"t know who did it, many people would."

That seems to be particularly meaningful to Lil" Kim, who spoke about that event:

"He was definitely at a party before it happened. I will say this, it was a little after 2Pac passed away. I remember he called us all in the room and he had a meeting with us. He was like, we have to stay tight. It"s almost like he felt something but no one else picked up on it. I took it very seriously."

That"s scary.

Tyler henry of hollywood medium

Tyler Henry spoke to ET about how Notorious B.I.G. spoke reassurances to Lil" Kim rather than, say, banging posts and pans in Tyler"s head about how he was murdered.

"It"s always interesting to see what they prioritize in bringing through. You would think sometimes people would come through and bring up their death as the first thing and sometimes those are the people who don"t."

And Tyler was able to communicate to Lil" Kim that she was Wallace"s soul mate.

"I truly think loving you was the greatest accomplishmenthis soul truly feels it was ever able to do."

That"s powerful.

Lil" Kim has had some hard times in her life, before she met Notorious B.I.G. (she spent some of her adolescence living on the streets) and after, when she suffered from domestic abuse.

If you wonder why Lil" Kim"s appearance has changed, it"s partly do to having to get nose jobs after being punched in the face.

Yeah.

But her life seems much better now, and Lil" Kim even gave birth not too long ago.

We hope that this sit-down on Hollywood Medium provided her with whatever closure she needed.

Tyler henry

Some fans are doubtless frustrated that there wasn"t anything concrete about, you know, the famous unsolved murder.

But that"s not what Tyler Henry or the show are all about. it"s about closure and personal connections.

In the episode recap below, we see a few of Tyler"s interactions before he starts talking to Lil" Kim.

But she is clearly brought a great deal of comfort. Comfort that wouldn"t come from chasing a decades-old murder suspect.

Isn"t that what matters?

O.J. Simpson Granted Parole; Notorious NFL Star to Be Released From Prison in October

One of the most infamous public figures in America will soon be a free man once again.

O.J. Simpson was granted parole moments ago after delivering a rambling account of his crimes and his time behind bars to a committee of prison officials.

Simpson has served nine years behind bars on armed robbery charges stemming from a 2007 arrest in Las Vegas.

Simpson told the parole board that he had no intention of committing a crime on the day in question, but was simply trying to retrieve items that he believed had been stolen from him.

He maintained that it was only by sheer coincidence that he and the victim wound up in the same city on the same day.

“As a perfect storm we all ended up in Las Vegas, you know?” Simpson said with a laugh.

“I was there for a wedding and [was told that] the property was there.”

Simpson often contradicted himself during his testimony, offering excuses and justifications for his actions one moment, then telling the parole board that he takes “full responsibility” for his crimes the next.

“When I came into the [hotel] room I noticed spread out everywhere was my personal property,” said in his account of the robbery.

“The only thing I saw that was on display that wasn’t mine was some baseballs, and I made it clear to everybody those are not mine. All I want is my property. … I wasn’t there to steal from anybody.”

In response to allegations that he pointed a gun at the robbery victim, Simpson stated, “I would never, ever pull a weapon.”

Bizarrely, Simpson told the board that he’s lived a “conflict-free life” and that his primary regrets are being unfaithful to his wife and turning his back on his religious beliefs.

“I had some problems with fidelity in my life, but I’ve always been a guy that pretty much got along with everybody,” Simpson said.

“I was always a good guy, but could have been a better Christian, and my commitment to change is to be a better Christian.”

Over the course of the past year, there’s been a sudden resurgence in the public’s interest in Simpson’s life and crimes, in part due to a popular FX miniseries about his murder trial and an award winning biographical documentary.

While there were some concerns that Simpson’s parole might be in jeopardy due to recent behavior behind bars, but most legal experts who speculated on the matter predicted that Simpson would be deemed eligible for parole.

Simpson was convicted of armed robbery 13 years to the day that he was acquitted of the murders of his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman.

The former NFL running back, sports commentator, and movie star may be released from prison as early as October 1.

Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner: Nice Try on the Apology, Notorious B.I.G. Estate Claps Back!

Oh, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner.

Oh, no no no no no no no.

Just: NO.

On Thursday, the sisters were blasted by Voletta Wallace, the mother iconic rapper Biggie Smalls, after she learned Kendall and Kylie had superimposed images of themselves on t-shirts featuring her son and Tupac Shakur.

Both of the aforementioned artists were tragically murdered many years ago.

The controversial pieces of attire were released this week as part of a line of “Rap vs. Rock” items that comprise the latest Kendall + Kylie collection unveiling.

They were immediately criticized by Twitter users as insensitive… for fairly obvious reasons.

Overall, the shirts depict photos or album covers from a wide swath of recording artists – including Pink Floyd and Metallica, along with Tupac and Biggie – with Kendall or Kylie’s face imprinted over the snapshots of these singers.

They make that Kendall Jenner Pepsi commercial seem like a well-thought out idea by comparison.

Upon discovering that the Jenners had released such items, Wallace went off on them in a scathing Instagram post.

“I am not sure who told @kyliejenner and @kendalljenner that they had the right to do this,” she wrote yesterday, adding:

“The disrespect of these girls to not even reach out to me or anyone connected to the estate baffles me.

“I have no idea why they feel they can exploit the deaths of 2pac and my Son Christopher to sell a t-shirt.

“This is disrespectful, disgusting and exploitation at its worst!”

To make herself clear, and to make sure the public was aware she and her family were NOT affiliated with these stupid shirts, Wallace also posted the following photo and message:

A short while later, Kendall apologized on behalf of herself and her sister.

“These designs were not well thought out and we deeply apologize to anyone that has been upset and/or offended, especially to the families of the artists,” she wrote.

She continued:

“We are huge fans of their music and it was not our intention to disrespect these cultural icons in anyway. The tee shirts have been pulled from retail and all images have been removed.

“We will use this as an opportunity to learn from theses mistakes, and again we are very sorry.”

Fair enough we guess, right?

We can simply shake our head over this moronic decision by Kylie and Kendall (or, let’s be honest, by their mother and her business team) and move on?

Nope, not exactly. Not yet.

In a statement to People Magazine, the Notorious B.I.G. Estate says it isn’t done with the sisters quite yet.

“While we appreciate that the Jenners have made an apology and pulled the unlawful and unauthorized items, this matter has yet to be resolved,” it wrote in a new statement.

Does this mean a lawsuit is on the way?

Or a threat of a lawsuit, at least, in order to make the Jenners shell out some cash before the controversial really spirals out of control?

It seems very possible.

We’re not legal experts, however.

We just write about celebrity gossip for a living.

We’re not sure the grounds on which a lawsuit could be filed.

But if stupidity were against the law, Kendall and Kylie would be thrown in jail for life for this decision.

Kendall and Kylie Jenner: SLAMMED by Notorious B.I.G."s Mom!

Sometimes, every once in a great long while, a story comes along that is just so wonderfully weird, so bizarre and beautiful that it scarcely makes sense.

And today seems to be one of those days.

OK, so Kendall and Kylie Jenner, right?

They’ve been selling their own clothing lines for years now, to various amounts of success. They’ve had collections with other designers, and items for sale on their own site.

But yesterday, they released some new shirts that have a whole lot of people talking.

The shirts feature photos or famous album covers from a wide variety of recording artists, including Pink Floyd, Metallica, Tupac, and the Notorious B.I.G.

But laid over those images are photos of Kendall and Kylie.

Here’s an example:

It’s really, really stupid, right? It’s not cute, it’s not fashionable, and it’s $ 125.

They’re also ruining perfectly good band t-shirts with their dumb faces.

It’s just a really strange item to sell, especially since they apparently want to push a whole line of these with several different bands and singers.

The thing is, though, that no one wants to buy the shirts.

Least of all Voletta Wallace, mother of the late, great Biggie Smalls.

When Voletta heard of the shirts, she took to Instagram to make a post about the issue, and she seemed pretty upset.

“I am not sure who told @kyliejenner and @kendalljenner that they had the right to do this,” she wrote.

“The disrespect of these girls to not even reach out to me or anyone connected to the estate baffles me.”

“I have no idea why they feel they can exploit the deaths of 2pac and my Son Christopher to sell a t-shirt,” she continued.

“This is disrespectful, disgusting and exploitation at its worst!”

The photo she shared along with her post featured the Biggie shirt with an ‘x’ marked through it beside the message that “THIS PRODUCT HAS NO AFFILIATION TO THE NOTORIOUS B.I.G. ESTATE.”

Voletta sounds serious about how offended she is by the shirt, and she has every right to be.

And for what it’s worth, Twitter is also very upset by the whole thing.

“Kendall Jenner selling a shirt with her face overlayed on top of Tupac is literally racism and I won’t stand for it,” one person wrote.

Another asked “Why tf has Kendall Jenner stuck her face on top of Biggie & Tupac on a shirt? Classless, disrespectful. All the hallmarks of the Kardashians.”

“Has anyone ever said damn I wish I could wear a Kylie Jenner shirt and Tupac shirt at the same time like who is this being marketed to?” one critical thinker questioned.

As of now, all of these shirts are no longer available for purchase on Kendall and Kylie’s site.

It’s unclear if they pulled them after the backlash began or if they somehow sold out in one day.

For the sake of maintaining what little hope we have left in humanity, let’s go ahead and hope for that first thing.

Steven Avery: Was He Framed By a Notorious Serial Killer?!

Ever since Making a Murderer first captivated Netflix viewers back in December, hundreds of theories about the murder of Teresa Halbach and the arrest and conviction of Steven Avery have surfaced online.

Steven Avery

Avery himself has claimed to know who actually murdered Halbach.

His mother has stated that she believes Halbach is still alive, and the whole thing was an elaborate con designed to put her son behind bars.

Now, a former FBI cold case expert is offering his own shocking theory – and he’s compiled some pretty compelling evidence to support it.

In a recent interview with Radar Online, former special agent John Cameron reveals that he believes Avery was framed by a notorious serial killer named Edward Wayne Edwards.

“Steven Avery is completely innocent,” Cameron tells the website. “He was set up by Edwards.”

It may sound more than a little far-fetched, but Cameron insists that he’s done the legwork and that his story at least deserves further investigation:

Cameron says the theory fist occurred to him when he realized that Edwards – who murdered at least five people at random – between 1977 and 2009 – was living less than an hour away from the Avery impound lot where Halbach’s body was found at the time of her murder.

Edwards was sentenced to death in 2011, but died of natural causes before he could be executed.

Several law enforcement agents who worked on the case claim that Edwards frequently hinted that he had killed several women without ever being connected to the crimes.

“He had done exactly the same thing in California in 1955 when he kidnapped and murdered a doctor’s 14-year-old daughter called Stephanie Bryan,” Cameron says.

“He hid her body for three months and then planted the girl’s property in a man named Burton Abbott’s basement and in his garage.

“Abbott was convicted on circumstantial evidence but always protested that he was framed. He was executed at San Quentin minutes before a stay of execution was delivered.”

“When I first started watching Making a Murderer, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing…it’s the same kind of setup,”

Cameron says he believes that Edwards can even be seen lurking at the crime scene in a shot from the Netflix documentary series:

“It looks like Edwards to me,” Cameron says. “He got off on [returning to the scene of the crime].”

Unfortunately, Edwards passed away before he could complete a memoir in which he reportedly planned to confess to all of his previous killings.
