Danielle Mullins" BFF: I Didn"t Mean to Say Muslim People Have Sex With Goats
Danielle Mullins and Mohamed Jbali are one of 90 Day Fiance‘s most controversial couples — even though they’re now bitter exes.
Back when they were together, one of Danielle’s friends made a joke about Mohamed having lost his virginity to “his family goat.”
Because many viwers pointed out that her jab appeared to have bigoted undertones, she is finally explaining herself to Danielle’s fans.
Danielle’s friend Beth Mahar took to Danielle’s Facebook page to set the record straight.
“Ok folks,” Beth writes. “Since my comment to Mohamed about his family goat is still such a hot topic for some people I am taking this opportunity to explain it”
“I am not racist in any way, shape or form,” Beth insists.
“I am married to a Muslim immigrant from Pakistan,” she shares, adding that she has been married “for the past 7 years now.”
She even notes that “My husband is a much more devout practicing Muslim than Mohamed Jbali.”
Obviously, friendship or even marriage does not preclude someone from being a bigot. But that doesn’t mean that Beth is a bigot, either.
“This TV show, 90 Day Fiancé, etc, etc, is strictly for entertainment purposes only,” Beth points out.
Beth says: “My comment to him about the family goat insinuating basically that the family goat was his first sexual experience was for entertainment value only”
“Was it inappropriate or in bad taste?” Beth asks. “Yes, probably so, and I sincerely apologize to anyone who it may have offended.”
After that very reasonable apology, she writes: “(except Mohamed…LOL)”
“But seriously,” Beth continues. “I truly am not racist and no TV show whether reality or not should be taken so damn seriously.”
“By the way just for everyone’s information,” Beth explains. “That comment and filming of this particular scene was filmed over a year ago.”
“Again,” Beth continues. “I didn’t mean to offend anyone other than ‘s–t head’ and I certainly do not have anything against Muslims.”
That is very reassuring to hear!
Beth concludes: “I hope this helps to clarify my comment for those who got the impression that I am a racist, Muslim hater.”
This is a complicated topic!
On the one hand, it’s absolutely a reality television show. No one should seek to emulate the behavior that they see from random reality stars.
On the other hand, the words that we say have impact, especially when those words are broadcast to millions of TV screens.
Inside jokes or personal jabs don’t translate well through television.
Some people may be offended, while others may parrot those insults to others who are not Mohamed Jbali but merely share his skin tone.
It is great that Beth Mahar came forward to clear the air about this, even though it is admittedly pretty weird that she did it on Danielle’s Facebook page.
(She could have made it on her own page and then let Danielle share it)
But it’s important to remember that making fun of a bad person for something like weight, accent, or cultural differences doesn’t just impact them — it impacts entire communities.
You can poek fun at Mohamed’s misdeeds if you like, but leave his culture out of it.

Sheila Abdus-Salaam, First Female Muslim Judge, Found Dead in NYC
Sheila Abdus-Salaam, who became the first female Muslim judge in the United States in 1994, was found dead in New York City on Wednesday.
She was 65 years old.
According to CNN, police responded to a 911 call about an individual floating in the The Hudson River around 1:45 p.m. yesterday.
Upon examination, they discovered an unconscious and unresponsive woman, who was later pronounced dead and identified as Abdus-Salaam.
She been reported missing the day before.
The New York Police Department confirms that a medical examiner will soon announce the cause of death, while the case is under investigations.
It is unclear whether foul play is suspected at this time, although there were no signs of trauma at the scene.
Abdus-Salaam had been an associate justice on the New York Court of Appeals since 2013, when she was appointed by Governor Andrew Cuomo.
“I was proud to appoint her to the state’s highest court and am deeply saddened by her passing,” Cuomo said in a statement.
“As the first African-American woman to be appointed to the state’s Court of Appeals, she was a pioneer.
“Through her writings, her wisdom and her unshakable moral compass, she was a force for good whose legacy will be felt for years to come.
“On behalf of all New Yorkers, I extend my deepest sympathies to her family, loved ones and colleagues during this trying and difficult time.”
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio also paid tribute to the justice in a tweet on Wednesday, writing of Sheila Abdus-Salaam:
“Deeply saddened by the tragic passing of Sheila Abdus-Salaam. She was a humble pioneer.”
Abdus-Salaam graduated from Barnard College and received her law degree from Columbia Law School.
She started her career as a staff attorney for East Brooklyn Legal Services and served as a judge in Manhattan state Supreme Court for 14 years, according to the state Office of Court Administration’s website.
Seymour W. James Jr., attorney in chief at the Legal Aid Society, said via his own statement that the judge’s shocking death had left many heartbroken.
“She leaves a lasting impact on New York — from her time as a legal services attorney fighting on behalf of low-income families, to her tenure as the first African-American woman to preside on the state’s highest court.”
Abdus-Salaam grew up in Washington as one of seven children.
As a public defender in Brooklyn, she represented people who could not afford lawyers and then served as an assistant attorney general in the Civil Rights Bureau of the New York State attorney general’s office.
What a horribly sad story.

Lindsay Lohan: I"m a Muslim, But I Want to Meet With Trump!
You can’t really blame Lindsay Lohan for trying to reinvent herself.
After all, at this point she’s been a Hollywood punchline for much longer than she was a legitimate movie star.
Unfortunately, the new persona she’s chosen (Angelina Jolie meets Carmen San Diego-style globe-trotting humanitarian) is one that can’t be entered into lightly, and it seems Linds just didn’t do her research before the unveiling.
She’s like a high school kid who shows up to the first day of sophomore year with a mohawk and a Sex Pistols shirt but still thinks Johnny Rotten is the bad guy from that health class movie about STDs.
Tortured metaphors aside, Linds appears to have jumped into this whole international peacekeeper thing without putting in her due diligence first, which may be how she wound up unwittingly (we think) working as a Turkish spy.
Or writing teary-eyed poems about ISIS.
Or doing engaging of the other misguided BS that she’s stumbled into since she decided she wants to convince the world philanthropy is new her new cocaine.
Anyway, when she’s not engaged in her other vocation of the moment (trying to get Lohan nightclub off the ground so that the proceeds can go to like … some charity or something), Lindsay is busy trying to convince the media that she’s a force for positive change in the world.
Lohan is in the process of converting to Islam, and she now reportedly sees herself as a bridge between the eastern and western worlds.
But, like, a bridge that used to be famous, ya know?
In a must-read interview with The Daily Mail, Lindsay recently opened up about her religious awakening and how she hopes her new faith won’t keep her from meeting with Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin. Seriously.
“It’s a process to convert to anything,” Lindsay said of her conversion. “You cant just convert overnight to a religion.”
Many have pointed out that you totally can convert to a religion overnight, but the really bonkers part is yet to come.
It seems Lindsay wants to have a sit-down with Trump and his BFF Putin, who are both huge fans of the Islamic faith.
“I want to try to get the word out to Donald Trump bring him over there, have him see all the positive things they are doing over there and all America can do to help as well,” Lindsay said when asked about her work in the Middle East.
“He is the president – we have to join him,” she insisted. “If you cant beat him, join him.”
Linds says – and we can’t stress enough that this is not a joke – that she would also like “Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Rachel McAdams” to sit in on the conference.
Brad and Angie, eh? We think it’s safe to say Linds hasn’t been keeping up on the news.
McAdams might seem like a strange choice, but that’s Lindsay’s way of multi-tasking, as she’s still hoping to get that long-rumored Mean Girls sequel going.
We’d say that’s a long-shot, but what do we know?
Not too long ago, we would’ve said a weasel-wigged reality show becoming the leader of the free world was a long shot, too.

Donald Trump Loses Muslim Ban Appeal: Twitter Reacts!
When elected President, Donald Trump claimed that America would win so often that citizens would grow sick of winning.
To date, however, Trump has lost twice in key court rulings.
On Thursday night, San Francisco’s 9th Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the suspension of the President"s travel ban, which prevented people from seven mostly Muslim nations from entering the United States.
The three judges, a mixture of Democrats and Republicans, voted unanimously against the administration.
And, as you"ll see below, Hollywood was nearly unanimous in its response to this legal decision…

Stranger Things Star GOES OFF on Muslim Ban: Watch!
The 2017 SAG Awards honored the very best in television and movies on Sunday night.
Some of the time, at least.
During many other moments, those featured on stage and on the red carpet at the ceremony couldn"t help but comment on Donald Trump"s latest executive order.
They aimed to make it clear that they are so NOT cool with cutting off refugee admission to the United States, especially where there"s no basis for the claim that Trump"s order will make America safer in any way, shape or form.
Simon Helberg and his wife, for example, held up a sign and made a strong statement prior to the event.
Ashton Kutcher and Julia-Louis Dreyfus were then among the stars who spoke out strongly against the White House"s immigration ban.
But no one made an impression quite like David Harbour.
A star on the Netflix sensation Stranger Things, Harbour got a chance to give a speech when his series surprised many by taking home the prize for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series..
And he took full advantage of this opportunity.
“As we act in the continuing narrative of Stranger Things, we 1983 midwesterners will repel bullies, we will shelter freaks and outcasts, those who have no hope," the actor said, referring to "that’s going on in the world today" and continuing as follows:
We will shelter freaks and outcasts, those who have no homes. We will get past the lies, we will hunt monsters, and when we are lost amidst the hypocrisy and the casual violence of certain individuals and institutions, we will, as per chief Jim Hopper, punch some people in the face, when they seek to destroy the meek, and the disenfranchised, and the marginalized, and we will do it all with soul, with heart and with joy.
The best parts of the speech?
- The raucous, enthusiastic, loud crowd response.
- Winona Ryder"s reaction, as she displayed everything from shock to confusion to hilarity while standing directly alongide Harbour.
The speech is bound to result in some backlash.
But it was a pretty amazing few minutes to witness.

Kim Kardashian SLAMS Donald Trump Over Muslim Ban!
Look, we’re certainly not glad that Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint back in October — it sounds like a truly terrifying ordeal, and one that we’d never wish on anyone.
But in the aftermath of that incident, Kim has really changed. And we are really enjoying the woman she is these days.
We’ve heard report after report claiming that her priorities have changed dramatically, that she’s not as concerned with wealth and status symbols after what happened.
She’s more focused on her family than ever before, she’s not jetting off at every business opportunity.
Kim has really chilled out a lot, and it’s been nice to see.
Another thing that’s nice to see?
How she completely and totally tore Donald Trump and his discriminatory, unfathomably terrible Muslim Ban with one single tweet:
As you can see, Kim shared a handy little chart breaking down several different causes of death in Americans over the past ten years.
According to this chart, there have only been two people killed by Islamic jihadist immigrants — the people Trump is supposedly trying to keep out of the country.
Meanwhile, at least 11,737 people were shot by another American.
In the caption of her chart, Kim simply wrote “Statistics.” Beautiful.
Kim also shared a fundraising page for Syrian refugees that was created by Kal Penn after some random Twitter troll told him that he doesn’t “belong in this country you f-cking joke.”
Would the old Kim have been so outspoken on such a controversial issue? It’s hard to say.
But regardless, way to go, sister.
As for the rest of the Kardashians and their stance on our president’s latest atrocity, Khloe tweeted “All of this in the news today breaks my heart.”
Then last night, after a federal judge blocked Trump’s order, she retweeted a “Victory!!!!!!” tweet from the ACLU.
Kourtney retweeted a few messages in support of refugees as well, but the rest of the family has been silent.
Well, Kylie has been sharing nonstop bikini selfies, so she may be helping in the only way she knows how.
Still, we’re so proud of Kim for standing against Trump, even while her husband calls him a friend and has continued to publicly support him.
Keep up the greatness, girl!
