Michigan College Student: I Was Kicked Out a Mall for Wearing THIS Outfit!
Just keep swimming?
More like… just get the heck out of here and don’t let the door hit you on the way out, apparently!
A 20-year old college student from Grand Rapids, Michigan has gone viral because she claims in a Facebook post that she was recently kicked out of Woodland Mall in Kentwood.
Her crime against humanity, according to the establishment’s set of guidelines?
Wearing short jean shorts and a Finding Dory tanktop and…
… no, wait. That’s it.
The ensemble you see below is allegedly the entire reason Hannah Pewee was asked to leave the premises.
“As many of you know, it is NINETY degrees outside today in West Michigan. Aka, really hot,” Hannah wrote to open her lengthy social media entry regarding what happened.
“So, of course, I decided to dress for the weather: shorts and a tank top.
“But apparently, how I was dressed was too ‘slutty’ for the public, as I was kicked out of the Woodland Mall today.”
Other patrons reportedly complained to mall security and other mall employees about Hannah’s outfit, which seems impossible to comprehend on a number of levels.
First, it isn’t all that revealing.
Second, who doesn’t love Dory?!?
“Yup. Apparently some anonymous person reported me to MALL SECURITY for inappropriate dress and I was kicked out,” Hannah explained.
In a post that has been Liked over 17,000 times as of this writing, the student continues:
“Never mind that within a one foot radius there were plenty of girls dressed just like me, since it’s NINETY degrees outside. I am so angry right now I’m shaking.
“I felt so embarrassed I almost cried. All because a stranger didn’t like how I dressed.”
For good reason, Hannah wrote on Facebook that she was “feeling angry” as a result of the incident, concluding as follows:
The Woodland Mall should be ashamed of themselves, as well as that anonymous complainer. It’s my body, and it’s hot outside!
I’m not going to show up in jeans and a sweater, sorry. Don’t like it? Look away!
I was out having a fun time with my sister and next thing I know, I’m out on the street. Slut-shaming how girls are dressed is deplorable and outdated, and it needs to stop.
The Woodland Mall does try to enforce a dress code policy, which you can find on its website.
“Appropriate attire, including shirts and shoes, is required,” it reads, continuing:
“Clothing with inappropriate words, phrases or graphics is not permitted and is subject to mall management approval. Excluding attire worn in accord with religious practice, tradition or significance, deliberately obscuring the face is prohibited.”
We’re not sure how a Finding Dory tanktop falls into any of these categories.
“Several women reached out to me saying that this had happened to them, too – not on the same day as me, but in the past!” Pewee told The Today Show, adding:
“They’d been kicked out for various reasons, all related to their attire. All of them felt, like me, that they hadn’t been treated fairly.”
The day after Pewee’s post went viral, she got on the phone with the management team at the mall.
She says these executives apologized for the incident and that the mall will revise its clothing policy.
Said a spokesperson for the mall this week:
“Woodland Mall has a dress code policy in place that we enforce. We’re currently reassessing the level of detail in our dress code and will train our team on it in hopes to avoid situations like this in the future.
“Our ultimate goal is to create an environment where all of our shoppers feel welcome and we, again, apologize for how this matter was handled.”
That apology is a good start at least.
And fortunately Hannah needs only to look to the shirt she’s wearing in the photo above to know how she ought to respond in a situation such as this.

Farrah Abraham: SLAMMED for Bollywood-Themed Outfit at MTV Movie & TV Awards
Farrah Abraham did not take home any trophies at the MTV Movie & TV Awards on Sunday night.
Not officially, anyway.
But many critics think she earned the title of Worst Dressed and Least Respectful Star at the event.
And they don’t think the voting was especially close, either.
The often-controversial Teen Mom stepped right into the fire yet again yesterday when she donned a Bollywood-inspired ensemble to the ceremony.
As you can see in the Farrah Abraham photos above and below, the star rocked a three-piece gold and pink outfit that she accessorized with a matching headpiece and a bindi on her forehead.
A bindi a decorative mark worn in the middle of the forehead by Indian women.
It is considered a sacred symbol by Hindu and Jain practitioners, not something a celebrity is meant to show off as part of some kind of fashion statement.
And Twitter was quick to call Abraham out for her decision.
Abraham isn’t the first MTV awards show attendee to make this mistake on the red carpet.
At the 2013 MTV Movie Awards, Selena Golmez also wore a bindi and was immediately asked to apologize by the Universal Society of Hinduism.
“It is an auspicious religious and spiritual symbol,” the society told E! News in a statement at the time, adding:
“It is not meant to be thrown around loosely for seductive effects or as a fashion accessory aiming at mercantile greed. Selena should apologize and then she should get acquainted with the basics of world religions.”
Gomez never did address the issue in public.
But Farrah talked to TooFab on Sunday and defended her ensemble.
Referring to the heavy gold chain and pendant, henna ink choker and gold headpiece, the 25-year old told the website that she “wanted to bring culture to the red carpet.”
She’s not afraid of any backlash.
She just wants to serve as a role model.
“I think this will inspire others to embrace new cultures and have good experiences,” Abraham hilariously said.
That’s always the first thing we think of when we think of Farrah Abraham: someone who inspires deep thought and appreciation for other types people.
Unless those people are maybe gay and/or promiscuous.
Abraham concluded in this TooFab interview that her pink-and-gold ensemble was “freaking amazing, Bollywood and sexy.”
It’s freaking something, alright, that’s for sure.

Ariel Winter Rocks Sexy Santa Outfit on Instagram
We’re not sure exactly who started the “sexy Santa Claus” trend, but it might be the best evidence that in the age of social media, literally anything can and will be used as an excuse for a T&A display.
Then again, if we had to point to the patient zero who started this particularly plague, it would probably be Mariah Carey, who first sexed up Santa in the video for that song you’re currently hoping you never have to hear again.
Whatever the case, these days, the torch has been passed to a new generation of Selfie Clauses, and Ariel Winter seems intent on claiming her place at the front of the reindeer pack:
Yes, as you can see, Ariel posed for a holiday-themed Instagram photo with her new boyfriend, Levi Meaden.
And you thought the “Jingle Bell Rock” get-ups in Mean Girls were revealing.
Like, sure, you’ve seen Ariel Winter’s butt on Instagram many, many times before, but have you ever seen it in a Santa costume?
Maybe, we really don’t remember if she did this last year, too.
Never one to miss an opportunity for an old-fashioned curve-flaunting, Ariel also offered a view from the front:

This girl doesn’t want her girls to miss out on the holiday festivities, even when she’s posing with the big fella and a bunch of little kids.

Ariel made a name for herself on Modern Family, but these days, it seems clear that she’s preparing for life post-MF.
(Of course, the show is probably syndication-bound, which would mean financially, Ariel is pretty much set for life.)
We don’t blame her for taking advantage of her window of opportunity, but we can’t help but wonder why she hasn’t made any mention of the fact that she just wrapped up her first semester of college.
Over the summer, Ariel announced that she would attend UCLA in the fall but hasn’t made many mentions to her education on social media.
Yeah, someone posts constant boob pics and we’re all, “I hope that’s not getting in the way of her studies!”

Britney Spears SLAMMED for Revealing VMAs Outfit
Britney Spears is officially back.
Because she performed on stage at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night? Sure. That’s part of it at least.
But she’s mostly back because Britney has once again come under fire for donning a risque outfit for a performance.
We know, right?!? HOW DARE SHE?!?
The Parents Television Council isn’t thrilled with Spears’ performance (although they did say the broadcast was “less explicit” than in recent years), and wants everyone to know that they are very offended by how sexual Spears’ performance was.
“Viacom and MTV need to make a pivotal choice about the sexualization of women: either they must decide that it is good, or they must decide that it is bad,” Tim Winter, president of PTC said, according to Entertainment Weekly.
“Sadly, last night’s program contained concerning levels of sexualization throughout the night.
“When you have the juxtaposition of the U.S. women’s Olympic gymnastics team and their positive image of what’s healthy and right, contrasted with the sexualizing content that was so pervasive on the rest of the program, MTV is sending starkly-conflicting messages about what is important.
“So MTV, which one is it?”
I have so many thoughts on this. First of all, has Mr. Winter ever seen Spears perform before Sunday night? Her whole schtick is sex. That’s just what she does. She used to wear a thong over her jeans. Why are we suprised by this?
As far as calling out the juxtaposition of Olympians Simone Biles, Aly Raisman, Laurie Hernandez and Madison Kocian with Spears’ performance, the VMAs (and the Movie Awards, for that matter) are a celebration of pop culture for adults, not families, and certainly not kids.
Not surprisingly, PTC also called out Kanye West’s “Famous” music video, in which a sweaty Teyana Taylor danced in nothing more than a sports bra and thong.
And so, society will do what they always do when the PTC calls out major events for being in appropriate, and ignore it. And then watch Spears’ performance again.

Courtney Stodden Posts Her Version of a "Classy" Outfit
The not-so-elusive wife of Doug Hutchison uses her Instagram account as a portfolio for anyone looking to sign a cheap-looking model.
Fishwrapper found a saucy image of the 21-year-old, posing as she does in front of a mirror.
“My outfit for the night. 1 piece + hoodie. #classy,” Courtney Stodden posted on January 23rd.
Sure.
Anyway, if you spend some time pouring over her Instagram feed, you’ll notice that she does her damndest to evoke the style and spirit of Marilyn Monroe.
On January 21st, Stodden posed for a photo outside Hollygrove, an orphanage that closed its doors in 2005 after 125 years of business. The organization house Marilyn Monroe, when she was Norma Jean Baker.
I’m going to take a wild guess and assume that Courtney Stodden thinks she really wants to be Marilyn Monroe, but hasn’t actually read anything about Marilyn Monroe.
Stodden likely draws comparisons to Monroe, since both blonds married at sixteen and use their bombshell image as their meal ticket.
Back in October, Stodden told Us Weekly that she and Hutchison will renew their vows.
“I can finally [plan] it myself, you know, because I was 16 and I had to have it signed [by my parents], so I think finally not having any parents involved and just doing it myself is going to be great,” she said at a PETA event last September.
“I want to do a big thing, because, you know, our first time around we married in Las Vegas next to a Chevron — it was not that glamorous!
“So I really want to play it up. I want to do the whole Cinderella thing.”
Here are three things that are bound to happen at this vow renewal:
1) The dress will flammable and low-cut.
2) The ceremony and reception will be available to rent/buy via Pay-Per-View.
3) The theme will be Marilyn Monroe.

Bella Thorne Rocks Cheerleader Outfit, Internet Loses Its Mind
Anyone who’s ever been to a YouTube comment board knows that the Internet is full of horrendous crap that seems to have been posted for the sole purpose of ruining your day.
That’s why we like to occasionally bring you a ray of online sunshine, particularly when it involves Bella Thorne. In the past, we’ve brought you such glorious sights as Bella Thorne’s butt in a bikini. Now, behold Bella in a cheerleader outfit:
Apparently, the photo above was taken on the set of Bella’s new movie, a horror-comedy entitled The Babysitter.
She explained all of this in the caption, but really – if you’re reading the caption on that photo, you’re doing it wrong.
The dude in the pic is not Bella’s boyfriend Gregg Sulkin, but her co-star, Canadian actor Robbie Amell.
Bella and Robbie previously worked together on The Duff, and we’re guessing Bella’s obvious joy at being reunited has Gregg sulkin’. (We’ll show ourselves out.)
Anyway, we should probably go ahead and call it a wrap on awards season and just ship all the Oscars to the cast and crew of The Babysitter as thanks for giving us the gift of Bella Thorne in a cheerleader outfit.
The word “heroes” gets thrown around a bit too much these days, but in this case, it definitely applies.

Kylie Jenner Poses with Caitlyn Jenner, Wears Ridiculous Outfit
Date night turned into family night for Kylie Jenner this week.
The 18-year old got all dolled up for a romantic evening on the town with Tyga on Thursday… only to run into a certain transgender stepfather at Nobu in Los Angeles!
“How is it that Caitlyn, Kourtney, and I ended up at the same restaurant tonight? Perks of having a huge family,” Kylie wrote as a caption to the above selfie she snapped with Caitlyn Jenner at the establishment.
That is a pretty big coincidence, we admit, accidentally meeting up with your dad and sister, considering all the eateries in the Los Angeles area.
Nobu is one of the most notorious places for those who want to be seen, however, with paparazzi members often camped out on front of the restaurant all night.
So it’s not that big of a coincidence.
Kylie also gave Instagram followers a glimpse at her outfit for the night – and here it is:
Jenner did not include a caption for this image because, really, what is there to say about a floral-printed long-sleeved duster coat worn over a matching bandeau top and flare-legged jeans?
Nothing. There’s nothing one to say.
Except that we’re just glad Kylie isn’t waist training in this picture. That’s something at least.
