Vanessa Lachey Details Near-Death Experience on Dancing with the Stars, Rumbas Through Partner Rivalry
Vanessa Lachey could not hold back her emotion on Dancing with the Stars last night.
But the tears this competitor shed had nothing to do with the alleged feud between her and Maks Chmerkovskiy.
Instead, they had everything to do with the time Lachey nearly died.
First, a quick refresher:
Last week, multiple sources claimed Lachey and Chmerkovskiy actively hated each other, with one source telling Us Weekly there’s constant “fighting” when the cameras are off and that each half of this partnership is “miserable.”
This tabloid cites dueling stubborn personalities for the basis of these disagreements.
Neither Vanessa nor Maks have really commented on the rumor of a rivalry, but the latter did skip last Monday’s performance show, raising some major eyebrows around the Internet.
He later apologized.
“As you are all aware, I had to leave the show last week to take care of some personal issues,” Chmerkovskiy Tweeted on Wednesday, adding:
“I take full responsibility for my actions and want to apologize to my partner Vanessa.
“We are both looking forward to dancing for our fans next week!”
And dance they did on Monday evening, doing the Rumba on an episode that episode featured the celebrities’ most memorable years.
As part of the pre-taped package before they took to the live stage, Lachey explained why this has been her most memorable year:
Because she nearly died right before it started.
“I was in the hospital on bed rest and then my water broke. I was only 29 weeks,” Lachey explained to Chmerkovskiy about what transpired with her son, Phoenix.
Husband Nick Lachey, who is also a contestant on Season 25, was featured in the video as well.
“I’ll never forget. She called me in a panic: ‘They’re taking me in for an emergency surgery. Get here as quick as you can,’” he said.
Vanessa remembers every detail of the harrowing experience.
“I was on the operating bed and I looked up and I didn’t know a single face and I remembered thinking I hope the baby’s okay and don’t worry about me. Just make him okay,” Lachey said, crying at this point.
She then went out and danced to a track sang by her husband.
“This song got us through some really tough times and helped us bond even closer as a family,” Vanessa explained.

Did the supposed feud between herself and Chmerkovskiy affect the routine?
Or the raw emotion of the moment?
Not really, as the tandem earned 24 points out of a possible 30.

R. Kelly Sex Partner Details Singer"s Alleged Cult, Blow Job Demands
R. Kelly is accused of running a cult in which he keeps women captive in his Chicago and Atlanta homes, forcing them to provide him with sexual favors and controlling every aspect of their lives.
So stated a bombshell report by Buzzfeed last week, which quoted parents of these women that were understandably concerned for their daughters’ safety.
A lawyer for Kelly has said her client is “alarmed and disturbed” by these false allegations, vehemently denying any such cult exists.
But here’s the thing: something is clearly going on.
A woman named Jocelyn Savage has spoken out in defense of Kelly, claiming she is not banned from leaving his home and is simply staying their out of her own volition.
She explained in an interview with TMZ this week that her own father even dropped her off at Kelly’s awhile back in order for the singer to help further Savage’s music career.
But Savage refuses to state her actual location.
Moreover, a relative of another woman under Kelly’s quasi control tells this same website that Kelly lures his so-called victims in by lavishing them with expensive gifts.
Yes, this person claims, the women are free to leave.
However, Kelly uses a “calculating, methodical process to groom naive girls” into becoming dependent on him. He also takes their smartphones, this person alleges.
Are Kelly’s actions illegal? Maybe not.
Do we know for certain what is taking place inside his residences? No.
Is Kelly one effed up dude with serious character issues who has been accused on numerous occasions of sexual misconduct, nearly always with women much younger than he is? Yes.
Along this latter line, a woman who refers to herself as “Kim” spoke to Jezebel about the entire cult rumor and outlined what goes on in R. Kelly’s shady universe.
She says she met Kelly about a year ago and has flown out to spend time with him on about 10 occasions. They’ve carried on a sexual relationship.
As a self-described “sometime member of his entourage,” this is what Kim has to say about Kelly’s harem:
HOW HE CONTROLS HIS WOMEN:
When we’re out, we’re not allowed to look at anyone. We have to keep our heads down. If we’re back in his studio sitting on the couches and he has friends across the room at the bar we can’t look at each other or communicate with each other…
If we’re in an Uber and we chat up the driver we’re supposed to tell him this girl did this or that. He’s very controlling and manipulative. He likes to be in control.
WHAT CAN THE GIRLS SAY TO EACH OTHER?
No compliments are allowed, Kim says.
I was looking at [a woman who walked by while out to lunch once] and he kicked my chair because I was looking up. Just super possessive. It’s a strange kind of dynamic.
HE MAKES SEXUAL DEMANDS:
He never makes threats, but the girls are so eager to do whatever he wants. He’ll wake us out of a dead sleep and say to this girl, ‘Suck my d-ck,’ or to these two girls, ‘Kiss on each other,’ and immediately without thought they jump right to it. It’s just bizarre. It’s unlike anything I’ve seen before honestly.
THIS IS A TYPE OF BRAINWASHING:
It’s not non-consensual, I guess. But I don’t know if they even realize the situation they’re in is wrong.

Kim said that she and the girl were instructed by Kelly to ‘take off your clothes and act like you miss each other.’
He got out his iPad and started filming, she said, but was dissatisfied by the 19-year-old’s performance. He told Kim to sit on the couch and took the 19-year-old into another room.
Twenty minutes later, he called Kim in. Kim knocked in the proper way, then walked in to find the younger girl nude except for one of Kelly’s bigger pieces of jewelry, a heavy chain.
He had his iPad recording and she was naked except for a big chain and she was running laps from one end of the room to the other. She was running laps around the room and apologizing.
She kept saying, ‘I’ve been bad, I’m sorry Daddy,’ shit like that.
And I’m standing there and she starts apologizing to me.
No one from R. Kelly’s team has responded to these latest allegations.

Usher: Accused of Infecting Partner with Herpes, Paying $1.1 in Hush Money
According to an explosive new report, Usher and an unnamed woman recently engaged in “rigorous unprotected sex” …
… without the singer revealing to his partner at the time that he was infected with herpes.
In court documents obtained by Radar Online, the singer was diagnosed with this sexually transmitted diseased around 2009 or 2010.
Following his divorce from Tameka Foster, Usher started sleeping with a celebrity stylist, only to have a “greenish discharge” ooze from his penis at one point.
Doctors determined that the artist was an “asymptomatic carrier” and he had no other signs of infection, the legal documents state.
After initially discussing the situation with his lover, Usher convinced her that his STD test came back negative and the two continued to have unprotected sexual intercourse.
“Believing Raymond’s statements that (the discharge) had been nothing and cleared up, (she) continued her relationship,” the legal papers read, using Usher’s last name and referencing his victim.
About three weeks after she started sleeping with Usher, the woman woke up “feeling very sick” with a “fever of 100 degrees, chills, headache, and aches and pains.”
She also “developed lesions and blisters in her vagina” and was eventually diagnosed with herpes herself.
The lawsuit states that Usher wrote a check for $ 2,754.40 in order to cover the woman’s medical expenses at the time.
But she later filed a lawsuit against the artist, accusing him of “consciously and purposely” withholding his diagnosis from her, despite the pair carrying on with an unsafe sexual relationship.
“In a series of telephone conversations and online chat sessions, [Usher] has apologized for infecting [her] and told her he would take care of things,” reads the lawsuit.
In a legal declaration also in Radar’s possession, the accuser said she “feels that her health and body have been ruined,” and she “has suffered severe emotional distress and has been extremely depressed … knowing there is no cure.”
Usher finally settled this case with his ex-fling on December 28, 2012, paying her a total of $ 1.1 million.
It’s a pretty ugly issue to bubble to the surface for Usher all these years later.
But we guess he can take solace in one thing:
At least he isn’t R.Kelly.

Anita Pallenberg Dies; Actress & Longtime Partner of Keith Richards Was 73
Anita Pallenberg – actress, model, and longtime partner of legendary Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards – has passed away at 73.
Her death was announced Tuesday evening by lifelong friend Stella Schnabel.
No cause of death was stated.
Schnabel paid tribute to Pallenberg in a heartfelt Instagram post:
“I have never met a woman quite like you Anita. I don’t think there is anybody in this universe like you. No one has ever understood me so well.”
“You showed about life and myself and how to grow and become and exist with it all. I was a little girl thinking I was big but I became a woman through knowing you.”
“The greatest woman I have ever known. Thank you for the most important lessons – because they are ever changing and definitive. Like you. We are all singing for you, how you liked it. Go in peace my Roman mother, you will always be in my heart.”
Pallenberg found early success as a model and actress (she appeared alongside Mick Jagger in the 1970 cult classic Performance), but it was her personal and artistic involvement with the Rolling Stones for which she’s best remembered.
After sneaking backstage at a Stones concert in 1965, Pallenberg kicked off a tumultuous romance with band co-founder Brian Jones.
When she and Jones parted ways, Pallenberg became involved with Richards, beginning a romance that last for 22 years and yield three children.
During her time with Richards, Pallenberg enjoyed such creative influence amongst the Stones that some of the band’s best known recordings were remixed at her suggestion.
Pallenberg is credited as a background singer on the band’s 1968 classic “Sympathy For the Devil.”
Richards’ years with Pallenberg were among the most turbulent of his famously wild life.
In his 2002 memoir, Richards stated that he and Pallenberg endured a “descent into hell” together, each becoming addicted to heroin during their relationship.
“I like a high-spirited woman. And with Anita, you knew you were taking on a valkyrie — she who decides who dies in battle,” Richards wrote in the book.
Pallenberg is survived by Marlon and Angela, her two children with Richards.
The couple had another son, Tara, who died from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome in 1976.
