Meghan Markle Requests Time Off in Wake of "Harassment"
Meghan Markle needs a break.
The actress is suddenly all over the Internet following after the unexpected news broke that she’s dating Prince Harry.
And this isn’t simply a random rumor, either. This romance has been confirmed by a very reliable source:
Prince Harry himself!
In a letter issued through a Kensington Palace spokesperson last week, Prince Harry took the unusual step of acknowledging he was totally banging the beautiful Suits star.
Granted, he didn’t say anything in these exact terms.
But the Royal hunk did condemn ongoing attacks against Markle, pushing for far more respectable public discourse.
“The past week has seen a line crossed. His girlfriend, Meghan Markle, has been subject to a wave of abuse and harassment,” the letter says.
The harassment really must have been something awful because you simply don’t ever see Kensington Palace comment on the love lives of its residents.
Continued the latter:
“Some of this has been very public – the smear on the front page of a national newspaper; the racial undertones of comment pieces; and the outright sexism and racism of social media trolls and web article comments.
“Some of it has been hidden from the public – the nightly legal battles to keep defamatory stories out of papers; her mother having to struggle past photographers in order to get to her front door; the attempts of reporters and photographers to gain illegal entry to her home and the calls to police that followed; the substantial bribes offered by papers to her ex-boyfriend; the bombardment of nearly every friend, co-worker, and loved one in her life.”
The letter goes on to note that Harry often fears for Meghan’s safety, and that he “is deeply disappointed that he has not been able to protect her.”
Wow. Scary, disturbing stuff.
Now, in response to the threats she has received and the insults that have been hurled her way, Markle is reportedly in need of a hiatus.
Insiders tell The New York Post that Markles has told her bosses at the USA Network that she needs to skip filming Suits this week because she has “something important to do.”
Might she be meeting with lawyers to help her manage her rise to international fame?
This is what Page Six speculates.
Those close to the situation tell the aforementioned newspaper that Markle may be struggling to come to terms with all this overwhelming attention.
“She comes across as just a regular girl,” says a source, “She’s stunning in person, but not everyone knew who she was. And she’s everywhere now.”
It’s true.
Before this dating bombshell exploded, Markle was really just known to those who watch Suits online or on television. She has played the character of Rachel on that series for six years.
Markle and Prince Harry met at a May event for his Invictus Games in Toronto, where Suits is filmed, and have been a couple since June.
There’s been talk that the two might actually get married, which seems crazy and premature.
As we said, though, Harry issuing a statement about the romance was a step he had never taken in the past about any girlfriend.
So it must mean he likes her a whole lot! He might even love her! How exciting!

Amber Heard Accuses Johnny Depp of Assault, Requests Restraining Order
It turns out his movies may not be the worst thing Johnny Depp has been involved with in the past year.
As you’ve probably heard by now, Amber Heard filed for divorce from Johnny Depp earlier this week.
The surprise move came just days after Depp’s beloved mother passed away, and many wondered why the actress would file papers at such a difficult time.
Now it seems that the actress may have had good reason to speed the proceedings along.
TMZ is reporting that Heard showed up in a Los Angeles County courtroom this morning requesting an emergency restraining order from Depp.
Sources say the actress arrived with her lawyer, Samantha Spector, and several photos showing facial bruising and other signs of abuse.
The website notes that Heard’s request for a temporary order of protection is unusual, as Depp has been out of town since Wednesday promoting his new movie, Alice Through the Looking Glass.
Both parties have issued statements through their reps confirming the divorce and requesting privacy, but this is the first time that Heard has alleged that Depp ever assaulted her.
Throughout the couple’s marriage, there were reports of Depp’s drinking driving Heard away.
This latest revelation has given rise to an unconfirmed rumor that the 52-year-old actor went on a bender to cope with the loss of his mother, during which time he got into an altercation with Heard that became physical.
Those rumors, of course, are mere speculation based on previous reports regarding the couple’s difficulties.
Depp’s attorney, Laura Wasser, appeared in court today on his behalf.
There is no word yet on whether or not the judge granted Heard’s request for a restraining order.

Danica Dillon: Judge Requests Proof She Had Sex With Josh Duggar
Josh Duggar may have just scored a major victory in his legal battle against Danica Dillon – or he mught be on the verge of being exposed as a liar, as well as a cheater.
As we’ve previously reported, Duggar is being sued by Dillon for allegedly manhandling and verbally abusing the former adult film star after paying her for sex.
Duggar says he’s never even met Dillon, and he insists that she’s merely attempting to extort him.
Last week, Josh’s lawyers petitioned the court to make Dillon prove that Duggar assaulted her.
Now, according to legal documents obtained by Radar Online, Josh’s attorneys have essentially gotten their wish – but there’s a good chance that their request could backfire.
The documents reveal that the court has asked Dillon to file a “sworn Certification” showing “a substantial part of the events giving rise to the claim occurred in this District.”
Obviously, she can’t prove what exactly went on behind closed doors, but she will need to furnish evidence that other parts of her story took place (Josh frequented the strip club where she works, gave her money in exchange for sex, etc.), presumably by providing a deposition and witnesses who can corroborate her version of events.
Ultimately, the move boils down to a high-stakes gamble by Josh’s legal team.
If Danica can’t provide the proof the judge is looking for, the case will be thrown out.
If she can, then not only will that severely hurt Josh’s chances of winning the case, it will essentially render him guilty in the court of public opinion.
We already know that Josh has perpetrated a number of horrific misdeeds in the recent past.
If Dillon can prove that even after months of therapy and rehab, the ex-reality star is willing to slander an abused mom just to keep from having to shell out a settlement, the damage to his reputation may prove irreparable.
