Rose McGowan Blasts Ben Affleck: You LIE About Harvey Weinstein!
Following a few days of silence, Ben Affleck spoke out on Tuesday about Harvey Weinstein.
The actor, who has worked many times in the past with the disgraced film producer, took to Facebook and wrote the following:
I am saddened and angry that a man who I worked with used his position of power to intimidate, sexually harass and manipulate many women over decades.
The additional allegations of assault that I read this morning made me sick. This is completely unacceptable, and I find myself asking what I can do to make sure this doesn’t happen to others.
We need to do better at protecting our sisters, friends, co-workers and daughters.
We must support those who come forward, condemn this type of behavior when we see it and help ensure there are more women in positions of power.
Many had been waiting to hear from Affleck (and Matt Damon) after Weinstein played a major role in their careers by producing Good Will Hunting.
Late last week, however, a bombshell report revealed that Weinstein has paid off eight women over the years in exchange for their silence regarding his alleged sexual misconduct.
Then, a follow-up report claimed Weinstein has actually raped multiple young actresses and associates.
He’s been fired from his company and his wife just announced she’s leaving him.
The reverberations extend far beyond just Weinstein, however, as his behavior with women has been an open secret in Hollywood for decades.
Who’s been helping him keep his horrible actions quiet? How deep does the cover-up go?
We may find out more each day, but Rose McGowan has been one of the few people leading the charge against Weinstein from the beginning.
She’s been outspoken on social media about his reputation and his inexcusable treatment of women… and now she’s here to call out Affleck.
Shortly after Affleck issued the statement above, McGowan responded on Twitter.
She flat out called Affleck a liar because she said she had a conversation with him many years ago in which she explained how Weinstein had sexually harassed her.
Affleck’s supposed response?
“Goddamnit! I told him to stop doing that.”
The actress says this interaction took place while she and Affleck were at a press conference in promotion of a movie they did together, one she was “made” to attend even after an “assault” at the hands of Weinstein.
McGowan concluded her Tweet in simple, straightforward fashion, by addressing Affleck with two damning words:
You lie.
Previously, McGowan called for all members of The Weinstein Company board to resign due to their silence over Weinstein’s treatment of women over the years.
She’s doing all she can to lead this fight and to expose the rampant sexism in Hollywood.
This is also known as doing the opposite of what Donna Karan is doing, as the fashion designer stepped into scalding hot water this week for suggesting Weinstein’s victims were to blame due to how they acted and dressed.
Will Affleck response to McGowan’s harsh assertion?

Kit Harington Bends the Knee, Proposes to Rose Leslie!
To conclude Game of Thrones Season 7, Jon Snow bended the knee and pledged his loyalty to Daenerys Targaryen.
He then made sweet, sweet love to her on a boat.
Now, in a prime example of life imitating art, the actor who portrays Jon Snow on this HBO epic has gotten down on one knee and proposed marriage to Rose Leslie!
And she said yes!
So we can only presume some sweet lovemaking commenced following this exciting development as well.
(We can also presume that Leslie is NOT Kit Harington’s aunt, making their relationship far less sordid and controversial than the fictional one between Jon Snow and the Mother of Dragons.)
Harington and Leslie met on the set of Game of Thrones.
Leslie’s character of Ygritte was a Wildling who took Jon Snow’s virginity inside a cave and who was later killed off during a battle at The Wall on Season 4.
The stars themselves, meanwhile, have been dating for about five years now.
Speculation over their engaged status started in earnest over the summer, with The Sun now reporting that Harington and Leslie have been telling friends and loved ones that they are, indeed, betrothed.
Details on the proposal aren’t clear at this time, however.
“They’re yet to set a date, but told friends and family last week that they’ve got engaged,” an insider tells this British newspaper, adding of the actor:
“Kit’s known for ages he’s wanted to marry Rose but he wanted them to get a house and settle down a bit first.”
The couple recently moved in to a mansion in East Anglia, setting up this next logical move in their relationship.
“He felt it was the right time to take the next step,” a source says of Harington.
The handsome star, of course, has anchored Game of Thrones in the vital role of Jon Snow ever since the drama premiered on HBO.
Leslie, meanwhile, also appeared on numerous episodes of Downton Abbey and is now a series regular on The Good Fight.
Seeing as the pair shot down engagement rumors reported by Life & Style a few months ago, and yet have NOT denied this new round of chatter, we’re going to go ahead and assume it’s accurate.
In which case: Congratulations to Harington and Leslie!

Amber Rose: Taking Mother of Wiz Khalifa to COURT - Here"s Why!
It’s a stereotype that people will have trouble with their in-laws — specifically, that a woman will have trouble with her mother-in-law.
But most people’s troubles with their in-laws end after they split and certainly don’t have to take anyone to court.
Amber Rose, however, is lawyering up for one reason: to get a restraining order against her former mother-in-law.
Amber Rose has had trouble with exes before — she says that Kanye nearly drove her to suicide when he wrote an album about Amber after their breakup.
But her issues with Wiz Khalifa’s mother are on a whole other level, and it’s apparently enough to spend actual money and time in a courtroom to address.
TMZ reports that Amber Rose wants a restraining order against Wiz Khalifa’s mom, Katie Wimbush-Polk.
Specifically, she wants to keep her and her four-year-old son, Sebastian, away from Katie.
Amber Rose wanting some breathing room from her ex in-law is one thing.
You might wonder why she’d want to deprive Sebastian of contact with his grandmother.
As it turns out, Amber worries that Katie’s attitude about Amber will infect her grandson.
That’s unfortunately not uncommon in cases of divorce.
Even in cases where parents can keep things civil despite all of their frustrations with their ex, some other relatives just can’t hold their peace.
It seems unfair to keep a boy from his grandmother, but it would also be unfair to put a little kid in a situation where he’s going to listen to his mom get badmouthed.
They’ve actually faced each other in court before — a clear sign of a healthy relationship.
WImbush-Polk has sued Amber Rose for defamation before after Amber Rose said that Katie was an unfit grandmother.
TMZ reports that Amber believes that Katie WImbush-Polk’s lawsuit is less over preserving her good name or whatever and more about getting revenge.
Apparently Katie has always been outraged that Amber Rose left Wiz Khalifa (which was way back in 2014, folks).
The lawsuit is, Amber is said to believe, just one of the ways that Katie has used to hound Amber ever since.
Amber’s split with Wiz, after mutual allegations of cheating, was nothing if not acrimonious.
But they saw a divorce counselor and did their best to work things out.
Wiz Khalifa hasn’t shied away from slut-shaming Amber Rose in the past, which is truly classless.
Not just because she’s his ex and the mother of his child.
(Though obviously those are big factors)
But also because slut-shaming is never okay.
Amber Rose is a huge proponent of body positivity and of owning your sexuality.
There’s a huge gender double-standard when it comes to sexual activity.
A guy who has sex with a bunch of different women is a “stud.”
A woman who has sex with a bunch of different men gets branded as a “slut.”
Calling a guy a stud is always a compliment.
Calling a woman a slut is supposed to be an insult — but it shouldn’t be.
And that’s sort of what activities like the Slut Walk are supposed to be all about.
When Wiz Khalifa slut-shames Amber Rose, in a way he’s attacking all women who are proud of their bodies and their sexuality.
(Every guy who slut-shames one woman is effectively slut-shaming any other woman who’s done the same thing)
It’s such an unfair situation.
Not for Amber Rose’s sake or Wiz Khalifa’s or even Katie Wimbush-Polk’s, but for little Sebastian Taylor Thomaz.
(Have we mentioned that he has a great name? Though he might have some misgivings about his name whenever he watches The Little Mermaid)
He deserves to have as many family members to dote upon him as he can safely be around.
It’s sad that, for some people, it’s apparently more of a priority to spite little Sebastian’s mother than to get to spend time with him.
You gotta have priorities, people.

Amber Rose: Considering a Breast Reduction, Asks Fans for Feedback!
Amber Rose is known for being body-positive, unashamed about nudity, and for countering slut-shaming with frank discussions about sex and about women’s rights.
She’s also known for her modeling work and her incredible body.
But Amber Rose took to Instagram to share with followers that she’s seriously considering saying goodbye to part of her legendary figure: her breasts.
Amber posted a message to her followers:
“I’m thinking about getting a breast reduction this year.”
A lot of people get breast reduction procedures, though reasons for them can vary.
Amber Rose’s breasts are huge, by any standard, so she really doesn’t have to explain.
“My boobs are stupid heavy, my back hurts and I can’t wear cute lil shirts without a grandma bra.”
Back pain due to large, cumbersome breasts can be a serious problem, especially over time.
That pain is real and it doesn’t get better with age.
Wardrobe issues are not at all uncommon for women with large breasts.
Many find shopping for shirts difficult, not to mention finding a bra that fits them and looks nice.
A lot of larger bras are those beige ones, folks.
“I’m really scared of the lollipop scars tho…. any advice?”
Lollipop scars, called this for their shape, are scars that follow a straight line up the bottom of the breast and then encircle the entire nipple of both breasts, as this is where the incision is made so that breast tissue can be removed.
Cosmetic surgery can often do away with scars, but that means having yet another procedure, and not all scarring can be wiped away.
What really matters is being happy after the procedure, and it looks like Amber knows that:
“Are there any ladies out there that are much happier even though you have breast reduction scars?”
We do hear that they fade over time, but everyone’s skin is different.
A lot of women worry about facing rejection if their breasts look disfigured.
(Men can be terrible, folks)
“And no I don’t have implants so they can’t just cut around the nipples.”
Sometimes breast implants can be inserted or removed through a 180 degree incision around the areola, though that’s usually in patients with larger nipples after they’ve given birth.
(Someone should tell Rob Kardashian that, since his revenge porn meltdown last month betrayed his total ignorance about how nipples naturally change size)
Amber Rose really wanted feedback from her followers in ways that many people would not.
“Tell me about [your] experiences.”
Some celebrities leave their Instagram comments closed as a matter of course. They just want to share photos and their lives but they don’t need to see the hate or a dozen people comment “first!” like this is YouTube in 2008.
Amber Rose, however, was literally asking for responses.
As you can imagine, the comments that she got were varied.
A lot of people expressed sympathy.
Some were medical professionals (or, at least, they claimed to be) who warned of things like scarring (though, as we mentioned before, scarring isn’t always permanent).
Others had undergone breast reductions or knew people who had.
Other celebrities, such as Ariel Winter, have undergone breast reduction surgery to address physical discomfort as well as wardrobe problems.
(In Ariel’s case, it was also to reclaim a bit of her identity and to take control of her image)
So Amber Rose, if she decides to do this, will be in good company.
We’re not saying that crowdsourcing your medical advice is any substitute for consulting with qualified surgeons.
But we do think that it’s neat that Amber Rose reached out to her fans
Not just as a treat for some of them, but because she’s using her fame as a resource in a kind of unusual way.
We don’t know if she’ll go through with it.
Amber Rose would be beautiful with no breasts of any size or no breasts whatsoever.
What’s important is what she chooses for herself.
