Jael Strauss, America"s Next Top Model Alum, Has Stage IV Breast Cancer
I don’t want to die.
These are the heartbreaking words penned by Jael Strauss on her Facebook page in a message to fans that relayed the most painful news imaginable:
She has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer.
“I was gonna write some long thing but some of you guys deserve to know,” the 34-year old wrote last week, four days into Breast Cancer Awareness month.
She then added very simply:
“On October 2nd I was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer. It has aggressively spread throughout my body and is incurable.”
Stage IV is the final and most serious stage for cancer.
It is not always a death sentence, but as Strauss writes here, there is rarely any treatment options for someone that has contracted such an illness.
Strauss later confirmed that the name of her illness was rapidly progressive metastatic inflammatory breast cancer.
She went on to explain that undergoing chemotherapy and treatment may help extend her doctors’ original prognosis.
“With treatment it may prolong my life longer than the “few months” doctors said I could make it,” she added.
“I don’t want to die. I need another one of those miracles that I got back in 2013.”
Strauss competed on the eighth season of America’s Next Top Model in 2007, finishing six among all contestants.
Just this past August, she celebrated five years of sobriety, writing at the time on Instagram;
“Today I have 5 years sober. Good God!
“I know a few things to be true: Miracles are real, Recovery is possible for everyone no matter how far gone you think you are, We are never too broken to be put back together.”
She talked years ago with Dr. Phil about how an intervention by her loved ones allowed her to overcome her addiction.
(Hence the reference above to the year 2013.)
“Service work feels better than the greatest high, Sobriety makes you weirder not normal,” she continued last month.
“And I’d be dead if it weren’t for all the love and forgiveness I’ve been showered with by my friends and family. Thank you to anyone that’s ever let me sponsor them.”
To help offset some of the medical costs, Strauss’ friends have set up a GoFundMe page on her behalf, confirming that the former model has already started chemotherapy.
“What we do know is that Jael is putting all of her energy and drive into fighting this insidious disease and can use as much support and love as possible,” reads the fundraising page, noting that:
“Jael is in tremendous pain right now and is unable to work. In a month, she will be let go from her job and lose her health insurance.”
It adds:
Jael, being the selfless person that she is, has helped countless people throughout her life as an advocate for recovery and social justice.
She has offered everything she has to people in need; no matter what their situation, she is always ready to help with an empathetic heart and nonjudgmental spirit.
She has created “gofundmes” for literally dozens of her friends, and it is now time for us to pay her back.
We have the chance, and honestly the obligation, to step up and return the favor.

Amber Rose Shares Results of Breast Reduction, Cellulite Treatment
Amber Rose is nothing if not if not supremely confident, but she’s also a human being with an audience of millions scrutinizing her every selfie.
So it should come as no surprise that Amber is occasionally willing to go the surgical route in her efforts to fine-tune her appearance.
And because she’s far more forthcoming with her fan base than most celebrities, Amber is happy to discuss the details of her cosmetic procedures on social media.
In a candid Instagram live stream, Rose recently revealed to her millions of followers that she’s at home recovering from a breast reduction surgery:
“I’m still in the house recovering from my breast reduction surgery, and I just wanted to give you a little [update],” said the model and activist.
“So I’m really just letting my hair grow, letting my eyebrows grow out, and just trying to rest and relax and recover. And also of course, I wanted to give you an update on my new boobs.”
Rose first announced that she was considering a breast reduction back in August, but she didn’t say much about the decision process in the months since.
(Though at one point, she revealed that she was afraid of the possibility of “lollipop scars.”)
Discussing the possibility of going under the knife on Loveline, Rose stated:
“My boobs are stupid heavy, my back hurts and I can’t wear cute lil’ shirts without a grandma bra.”
And now that she’s gone through with it seems, she’s more than happy with the results:
“I really went down a lot. So I don’t know if you guys know, but I was like a 36H, I was really, really big, and I think now I might just be a D-cup, which is really small for me,” she said on Instagram.
“I’ve been online shopping, and getting my cute little shirts, and little strapless things, and I’m just so excited to be actually be able to wear an outfit without a huge bra,”
Rose also spoke of undergoing treatment to remove cellulite, which she says has had some painful after-effects.
“My legs are still really, really sore,” she told her followers.
Hopefully, she’ll be back on her feet for this year’s Slut Walk!

Stassi Schroeder Strips Down on Instagram, Reveals Breast Reduction Surgery Scars
A new season of Vanderpump Rules is almost upon us.
It’s been seven months since we last checked in with the men and women of SUR, and a whole lot has changed in their lives in the interim.
For one thing, it seems barely a week went by without a new breakup rumor wending its way around social media.
Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright split shortly after their spinoff series, Jax and Brittany Take Kentucky, publicly exposed the many flaws in their relationship.
It’s been reported that Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney have called it quits after less than a year of marriage, but that news didn’t come as much of a shock.
Those two have been exposing their flaws from day one.
Even Scheana Marie and Robert Valletta have broken up, despite maintaining the outward appearance of happiness until the very end.
But for all the Vanderpump romances that have gone south in the past year, perhaps none comes as a greater surprise than the breakup between Stassi Schroeder and Patrick Meagher.
Sure, they’d broken up in the past, but Stassi and Patrick really seemed to be in it for the long haul.
In fact, after several years as the show’s resident mystery man, Meagher finally agreed to appear on camera for Vanderpump Season 6.
The move was taken by many as a sign of commitment, the long-running reality show equivalent of putting a ring on it.
Sadly, Stassi and Patrick’s relationship melted under the glare of the spotlight, and he broke up with her on what would have been their thrid anniversary.
But don’t cry for SUR’s answer to Regina George–Stassi survived with the breakup with both her sharp sense of humor and her bangin’ body intact:

Nikki Reed: My Breast Pump Is Totally a Third Wheel!
It’s still hard to believe that Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder welcomed their first child together into the world in July.
Their relationship has had many ups and downs, and it has given us a lot to write about over the years, but now, they are more unified than ever, and it’s adorable.
Nikki was making her way to a Hollywood event on Saturday and took to Instagram to show off her good looks, and jokingly said that her hot date was a breast pump.
“On my way to present at @variety ‘s #powerofwomen luncheon and this is my hot date,” she captioned the photo. “Kidding. I have another hot date. But this thing is definitely our third wheel.”
We are pleased she threw the “kidding” part in because she could have caused a lot of trouble on social media.
The post came just days after Ian apologized for a joke he made about messing with Nikki’s birth control to force her into pregnancy.
“We decided that we wanted to have children together, and it was just time. But unbeknownst to poor Nikki, she didn’t realize that I was going to go in her purse and take out her birth control,” he said on Dr. Berlin’s Informed Pregnancy podcast.
Naturally, this was met with a lot of criticism from across the world. Simply put, it’s not something to joke about because it’s a very real thing that happens all the time.
Ian took swift action and turned to Instagram with a lengthy statement to reveal that he and Nikki both wanted to have a child and that he most certainly did not tamper with her birth control.
“We never expect a lighthearted interview we did poking fun at EACH OTHER and how WE chose together to get pregnant, a goofy moment in Barcelona with our two best friends and the anticipation of the start of our journey together as we went from two to three, to turn into something representing a very serious matter,” his post began.
“However, if this somehow sheds a light on a topic that definitely needs mainstream attention, then we are grateful for the unintended consequence.”
“It’s a shame that outlets chose this as their way into a very serious discussion, as we are certainly not qualified to be the faces of this topic.”
“We are two happily married people who chose TOGETHER to have a baby. The end,” he concluded.

Sia Bares Her Breast in Epic Nip Slip!
Even though Sia’s “Chandelier” and “Titanium” are perhaps her best known songs (even if she was technically just featured in the latter), she herself is most recognizable for her iconic appearance.
Well get ready to see a very different side of Sia. As in, her boob.
Because the talented singer suffered a pretty major nipslip, but apparently didn’t mind the pic being shared.
For someone whom most people can’t really picture that well, facially, in their minds, Sia is very recognizable.
There’s her signature wig, which looks like a tamed version of Cruella de Vil’s hair.
There’s her big white dress, almost featureless.
And, a lot of the time, there’s her big white bow, rising impractically above her head like a two-sided battleaxe of fashion. Or whatever.
When she performs, you see very little of Sia other than her mouth. It’s only her very distinctive voice that assures you that it’s her on stage.
Well … in this new photo, like we said, she gives off a very different look.
Though she’s still wearing white. And, in a manner of speaking, hiding her face.
In the photo below, Sia is wearing a white robe.
Her face has one of those green face masks that exist almost exclusively on the faces of moms in cartoons.
Sia’s hair is up in a bun and, while one hand holds a white cloth, the other is raised and making a peace sign.
(We know that it’s a very different symbol in a lot of countries, but we’re pretty sure that she means this as a polite and carefree peace signs)
Her pink slippers complete the ensemble nicely. It’s about as casual of a look as one can get and still be wearing clothes.
But Sia is a little nude, because she’s experiencing a nip slip.
Actually, that’s an understatement — her entire breast is exposed.
Tonya Brewer, Sia’s makeup artist, shared this photo on Instagram.
And, of course, added the banana emoji to obscure Sia’s nipple.
Tonya, whom one assumes had permission from Sia before sharing this (because obviously you would, right?), explained the context of the photo.
And apparently Sia did not realize that the picture was quite as risque as it ended up being.
Tonya writes:
“She just directed her first film. she had no idea her boob was out. thank you for letting me create magic with you @siamusic”
We’re not sure how one goes about being half bare-chested, like an ancient Minoan or like a statue of Justice, without noticing.
Especially if someone is snapping your photo.
Sia must feel really, truly comfortable around Tonya Brewer and around everyone else (you can clearly see that there are multiple other people in the background).
Also, that place must be pretty warm. Maybe even too warm. Otherwise the boob that broke free would surely be more noticeable, right?
To be fair, though, it’s likely that none of us have room to talk. Most of us have accidentally mooned someone once or twice, not realizing that they were there.
And I, at least, have had multiple instances of only noticing that I have a cut on my leg because I felt the blood dripping onto my foot.
Compared to that, a bare breast could be very easy to miss. And also very, very funny.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus Reveals Breast Cancer Diagnosis
One of the television world’s most beloved and accomplished actresses has shocked fans with a bit of frightening news.
According to a tweet posted just moments ago, Julia Louis-Dreyfus has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
The actress, best known for her acclaimed work on Seinfeld and Veep, revealed the news to her followers with a plea for a greater understanding of the disease and improvements in treatment and research:
“1 in 8 women get breast cancer. Today, I’m the one,” Dreyfus wrote.
“The good news is that I have the most glorious group of supportive and caring family and friends, and fantastic insurance through my union,” the 56-year-old actress continued.
“The bad news is that not all women are so lucky, so let’s fight all cancers and make universal health care a reality.”
Earlier this month, Dreyfus won her sixth Emmy, breaking the record for most wins for a single role.
She and husband Brad Hall have two sons together.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dreyfus received the news of her diagnosis just one day after her historic victory at the 2017 Emmys.
In a statement issued to the outlet by HBO, network execs say they have every intention of going forward with their plan to have Dreyfus’ acclaimed comedy back for a final season.
Sources say Veep producers will adjust their shooting schedule as needed to accommodate Dreyfus’ treatment.
“Our love and support go out to Julia and her family at this time,” reads the statement.
“We have every confidence she will get through this with her usual tenacity and undaunted spirit, and look forward to her return to health and to HBO for the final season of Veep.”
Twitter was flooded with messages of support for Dreyfus within minutes of her announcement.
Many applauded the actress for taking a moment to address the need for universal health care while in the midst of what may be the most frightening ordeal of her life.
It’s a testament to the courage and compassion that Dreyfus’ co-stars and loved ones say is even more laudable than her impressive body of work.

The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 12 Episode 11 Recap: Breast Intentions
Tamra Judge knows how to carry a grudge, and that’s something that she planned to do on The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 12 Episode 11.
When the episode got underway, Kelly Dodd was talking about getting a breast reduction because her breasts were just getting in the way of her life.
To feel a sense of progression in her life, Kelly opted to take a cast of her current cup size to see the difference when the operation was completed.
Yes, her husband totally got to help her out with the casting, so we’re sure it was a fun-filled affair … at least until Michael realized what he was saying goodbye to.
Meanwhile, Tamra was mad. It’s not like Tamra to be mad, is it? That was a joke, by the way. If you watch The Real Housewives of Orange County online, you will know there was much drama at Vicki’s birthday bash.
The reason Tamra is mad is quite simple: She and Vicki put their beef aside, so she did not understand why Vicki invited Gretchen and Ricky.
Ricky was the one who claimed he witnessed Eddie getting up close and personal with another man, so that was obviously going to cause a lot of drama.
Vicki thrives when there’s drama, so it’s probably a given that she knew she would cause a lot of it by inviting the two troublemakers. Tamra thought it was a set-up and there’s a good chance it was.
Meanwhile, Lydia finally succeeded in getting her boyfriend to go through with the vasectomy, so she was smiling from ear-to-ear like The Joker.
Kelly threw a party to say goodbye to part of her breasts, and it was clear Vicki and Tamra were mad at one another. They each decided to hang around in separate corners.
Vicki tried to claim that she was the victim in all of this and that Tamra was just acting like a bitch for no reason. Tamra eventually started wailing as she questioned whether to confront Vicki.
Shannon threw her off the idea, and Lydia was mad because she thought it looked like Shannon was not looking out for her. She felt like Shannon did not want her to be friends with Vicki for a reason.
Vicki felt like there was no point in speaking to Tamra because there was nothing to achieve aside from a big fight. Vicki eventually relented and said that Ricky was not on the guest list.
That’s when Tamra went off on one, claiming that Vicki was trying to destroy her life. Vicki kept her composure and said that she did not even think about her on her birthday.
Shannon then tried to make her way into the argument, but Peggy stood in her way. She eventually found her way inside and was and about being shut out.
Tamra and Shannon brought up the cancer lie, and Vicki retorted with the claims that David was abusing Shannon.
Peggy then decided it was time to dole out some home truths to Shannon about always being the center of attention. But then Lydia and Shannon started bickering over boob jobs.
They both bicker about the other wanting all the attention to be on them, and it went completely off the rails. They eventually decided to halt their feud.
It was a pointless way to create drama, but it helped fill the episode, we guess.

Amber Rose: Considering a Breast Reduction, Asks Fans for Feedback!
Amber Rose is known for being body-positive, unashamed about nudity, and for countering slut-shaming with frank discussions about sex and about women’s rights.
She’s also known for her modeling work and her incredible body.
But Amber Rose took to Instagram to share with followers that she’s seriously considering saying goodbye to part of her legendary figure: her breasts.
Amber posted a message to her followers:
“I’m thinking about getting a breast reduction this year.”
A lot of people get breast reduction procedures, though reasons for them can vary.
Amber Rose’s breasts are huge, by any standard, so she really doesn’t have to explain.
“My boobs are stupid heavy, my back hurts and I can’t wear cute lil shirts without a grandma bra.”
Back pain due to large, cumbersome breasts can be a serious problem, especially over time.
That pain is real and it doesn’t get better with age.
Wardrobe issues are not at all uncommon for women with large breasts.
Many find shopping for shirts difficult, not to mention finding a bra that fits them and looks nice.
A lot of larger bras are those beige ones, folks.
“I’m really scared of the lollipop scars tho…. any advice?”
Lollipop scars, called this for their shape, are scars that follow a straight line up the bottom of the breast and then encircle the entire nipple of both breasts, as this is where the incision is made so that breast tissue can be removed.
Cosmetic surgery can often do away with scars, but that means having yet another procedure, and not all scarring can be wiped away.
What really matters is being happy after the procedure, and it looks like Amber knows that:
“Are there any ladies out there that are much happier even though you have breast reduction scars?”
We do hear that they fade over time, but everyone’s skin is different.
A lot of women worry about facing rejection if their breasts look disfigured.
(Men can be terrible, folks)
“And no I don’t have implants so they can’t just cut around the nipples.”
Sometimes breast implants can be inserted or removed through a 180 degree incision around the areola, though that’s usually in patients with larger nipples after they’ve given birth.
(Someone should tell Rob Kardashian that, since his revenge porn meltdown last month betrayed his total ignorance about how nipples naturally change size)
Amber Rose really wanted feedback from her followers in ways that many people would not.
“Tell me about [your] experiences.”
Some celebrities leave their Instagram comments closed as a matter of course. They just want to share photos and their lives but they don’t need to see the hate or a dozen people comment “first!” like this is YouTube in 2008.
Amber Rose, however, was literally asking for responses.
As you can imagine, the comments that she got were varied.
A lot of people expressed sympathy.
Some were medical professionals (or, at least, they claimed to be) who warned of things like scarring (though, as we mentioned before, scarring isn’t always permanent).
Others had undergone breast reductions or knew people who had.
Other celebrities, such as Ariel Winter, have undergone breast reduction surgery to address physical discomfort as well as wardrobe problems.
(In Ariel’s case, it was also to reclaim a bit of her identity and to take control of her image)
So Amber Rose, if she decides to do this, will be in good company.
We’re not saying that crowdsourcing your medical advice is any substitute for consulting with qualified surgeons.
But we do think that it’s neat that Amber Rose reached out to her fans
Not just as a treat for some of them, but because she’s using her fame as a resource in a kind of unusual way.
We don’t know if she’ll go through with it.
Amber Rose would be beautiful with no breasts of any size or no breasts whatsoever.
What’s important is what she chooses for herself.

Kylie Jenner: Sultry Selfie Kicks Off New Round of Breast Implant Rumors
It seems like every few weeks, a new Kylie Jenner plastic surgery rumor makes its way across the social media landscape.
Much of this has to do with the fact that Kylie’s appearance has changed considerably over the last three years or so.
And it doesn’t help that she’s already demonstrated a willingness to lie about going under the knife.
Kylie only admitted to sporting “temporary lip fillers” after hundreds of before-and-after photos demonstrated that either she’d had work done, or she was in the midst of one very long allergic reaction.
Now, some other surgically enhanced body parts have captured the attention of Kylie’s millions of fans.
And though she’s certainly not shy about showing them off, it’s safe to assume that the 19-year-old won’t be opening up shelling out for a new figure anytime soon.
This time around, the rumors started as murmurs following the latest round of revealing Kylie bikini photos.
They turned into shouts over the weeked thanks to this seriously unsubtle selfie:
Needless to say, the reaction from fans was swift and focused largely on Kylie’s boobs:
“Holy fake boobs!! I was wondering when she going to really show them off,” one fan commented.
“Kylie Jenner had to up her implant size. I wonder what size those are,” wrote another.
One of the problems with documenting every moment of your life for millions of social media followers is that it’s very difficult to change your appearance without anyone noticing.
In fact, some fans believe they’ve narrowed down the timing of Kylie’s breast augmentation to a window of a few weeks.
(Winter of 2016 seems to be the leading theory.)
They cite as evidence photos like this, from the summer of 2015, when Kylie seemed significantly less, um … top heavy.
There have even been rumors that Kylie recently increased the size of her implants, but that seems unlikely.
In all likelihood Kylie has only undergone cosmetic procedures a handful of times (unless you count each round of lip injections), but the result has been a complete change in her overall appearance.
We don’t begrudge her a little tinkering.
After all, we think many who scoff would do the same if they were young, rich, and constantly in the public eye.
But we do wish she’d be more open about the work she’s had done, so as not to give her young fans the idea that they too will one day wake up with a new set of breakneck curves without help from a team of SoCal’s finest docs.

Brownies may just be the perfect dessert.
So it would stand to reason that anyone who supplies them for a school book sale would be lauded as some kind of culinary hero, right?
Most of the time, yes.
But an unnamed woman recently faced scorn and derision for this act, sharing her confusion on Facebook by telling the story of how she didn"t have any milk when she went to make the brownies, so she used her own breast milk instead and now she doesn"t understand why…
