Luann de Lesseps Slams Dorinda Medley"s Claim About Rehab Stay!
At the reunion special for The Real Housewives of New York City, a number of the stars aired what they claimed was the "truth" about the countess — Luann de Lesseps.
Now, Luann is getting the chance to respond to those accusations and to set the record straight.
As you"ll see in this video, she"s starting with Dorinda, who claimed that Luann entered rehab just to stay out of jail.
At the reunion special, Luann was absent — and therefore, she was not there to defend herself.
Dorinda Medley jumped at the chance to gossip behind Luann"s back.
"Luann didn"t go to rehab because she had some huge revelation," Dorinda claimed to Andy and the entire audience.
She went to rehab because she needed to stay out of jail," Dorinda accused.
"And," Dorinda threw in. "it was practically court-ordered."
On Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen asked Luann how she would like to respond.
"I was not court-ordered to go to rehab," Luann begins.
She has a lot more ignorance to clear up.
"I went on my own recognizance, first of all," Luann says.
"So," Luann summarizes. "Dorinda doesn"t know anything about me."
That much is very obvious.
Luann makes it clear why she chose to enter rehab.
"I went because I felt that I needed to go and take care of myself," Luann explains.
"And," she continues. "I take it very seriously."
That has been very clear, for months.
"It"s 51 days today, by the way," Luann tells the audience. The audience applauds.
Good for Luann! Sobriety can be difficult, even for celebrities. This is especially true for stars who use alcohol as a coping mechanism for stress.
Luann then responds to a claim that Ramona Singer made at the reunion, that she had been "out of it" at the Beacon following rehab.
"Ramona, look at me, with those eyes," Luann says. "I was never at the Beacon this summer so that is a total lie."
"And at Chris Birch"s party," Luann continues. "I was not kicked out, Ramona."
Luann adds: "So you"ve got to stop making stuff up to make yourself look better, Ramona."
As a final jab, Luann tells Ramona: "It"s not going to happen."
The video closes on Jerry O"Connell doing his best impression of Ramona Singer.
But the real takeaway is that Dorinda made a real butt of herself in front of fans with claims that she absolutely cannot substantiate.
If Luann did enter rehab with the intention of avoiding prison time, it was a two birds, one stone scenario — because she"s clearly serious about her sobriety.
In the mean time, Dorinda is just leveling accusations based upon what might as well be spectral evidence. The fans know that, and they"re not loving it.
Some even commented that Dorinda seemed fun when she first joined the series, but now she appears to be toxic.
We get it — they"re Real Housewives. Feuding, gossiping, and assuming the worst go with the territory. But attacking someone"s sobriety seems like a low blow.

Roseanne Barr Keeps Trying to Claim She Isn"t Racist
Roseanne Barr sat down and spoke with Sean Hannity on Fox News on Thursday night.
We understand if you shudder at the mere reading of that sentence.
The comedian was on hand, of course, to discuss how her reputation has plummeted to an all-time low following a Tweet she wrote several weeks ago that compared former President Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett to an "ape."
Jarrett, of course, is African-American, although Roseanne has previously alleged she didn"t know this.
In the wake of this heinous comment, which wasn"t exactly the first time Barr came across as insensitive to other races or ethnicities, ABC canceled the revival of her sitcom.
It has since announced that a spinoff centered around her character"s fictional family, The Conners, will premiere in the fall.
(Presumably, the new sitcom will focus on this family reacting to the death of the Roseanne character.)
Speaking to Hannity, Roseanne was at times contrite; at times defensive; and at times defiant.
"I made a mistake, obviously. It cost me everything. My life"s work, everything. I made a mistake and I paid the price for it," she said early in the interview.
Barr went on to say that the Tweet was never meant to be "political" in any way, firing back at critics who dared to call her racist.
"Everyone started saying I was a racist, which is like the worst thing you can call a Jewish person, especially someone like me, who grew up with Holocaust survivors," she said, continuing:
"And because of that fact, I took a vow to my religion to my god that I would always fight extremism on either side, right or left."
If this has been the case, Roseanne has had an unusual way of fighting said extremism.
Barr told Hannity she felt she was "fighting the right by being really left," referring to her 2012 run for the presidency as a socialist candidate and added:
"Then I slowly woke up and both extremes are not where my values are. My values are in the middle," she said.
Later in the chat, Roseanne expressed interest in speaking to Jarrett… or maybe working out a way to find a “teachable moment” in an encounter with her.
“I’d want her to hear my voice, that I am so sorry,” she said.
Jarrett, previously, has said she has no real interest in hearing from Barr.
Also previously, Roseanne had chalked up her Tweet to stupidity, not racism.

Leah Messer Cares More About D-ck Than Being a Mom, Fans Claim
Last week, the world learned that Leah Messer is dating Jason Jordan, a 38-year-old fellow West Virginian and father to a 2-year-old girl.
Leah"s love life has always been a subject of intense interest to Teen Mom 2 fans, even though her storylines on the show these days tend to be centered around the challenges she faces as a mother of three young girls, one of whom suffers from a debilitating medical condition.

Ariana Grande DESTROYS the Claim that She Caused Mac Miller"s DUI
Earlier this month, Ariana Grande and Mac Miller split after almost a year of dating.
About a week later, Mac Miller was arrested for a DUI hit-and-run. That’s no laughing matter.
When a fan took to Twitter to accuse Ariana of being somehow at fault for Mac’s troubles, Ariana shut that down in the best way.
Following Ariana Grande’s powerful BMA’s performance, she’s been a topic of conversation — even more than usual.
Someone on Twitter apparently needed to get some thoughts about Ariana off of their chest, and on Monday, tweeted:
“Mac Miller totalling his G wagon and getting a DUI after Ariana Grande dumped him for another dude …”
We should interject here that this is referring to Ariana’s reported “very new” relationship with Pete Davidson, to which we referred on the anniversary of the Manchester Arena Bombing.
“… After he poured his heart out on a ten song album to her called the divine feminine is just the most heartbreaking thing happening in Hollywood.”
Really? He couldn’t think of anything more heartbreaking than that happening in Hollywood?
Ariana clapped back, hard. As one Twitter user phrased it: “ARIANA! HAD! TIME!” Because she is not mincing words.
“How absurd that you minimize female self-respect and self-worth by saying someone should stay in a toxic relationship because he wrote an album about them.”
She also takes the time to correct a misconception, though of course no amount of art obligates someone to stay in a relationship.
“Which btw isn’t the case (just Cinderella is about me).”
She emphasizes that she was Mac’s girlfriend.
“I am not a babysitter or a mother and no woman should feel that they need to be.”
She was also not his nurse or his therapist.
She says that she’s careda bout his health and well being, starting long before they were dating.
“I have cared for him and tried to support his sobriety and prayed for his balance for years.”
She clarifies that their breakup doesn’t change her desire for him to be happy and healhty.
“(And always will, of course)”
She continues, however.
“But shaming and blaming women for a man’s inability to keep his s–t together is a very major problem.”
There is so much of that in the world.
“Let’s please stop doing that.”
Keep in mind that some have tried to blame one of the victims for last week’s Sante Fe High School shooting because she rebuffed the shooter’s sexual harassment.
“Of course I didn’t share about how hard or scary it was while it was happening but it was.”
Most people in relationships don’t tell you what it was really like while it’s happening. That absolutely applies to people who are dating people with substance abuse issues.
“I will continue to pray from the bottom of my heart that he figures it all out.”
She is such a sweetheart.
“And that any other woman in this position does as well.”
She ends her epic shutdown with a simple outline of a heart.
The person who posted the original tweet wrote up a lengthy response, saying:
“I’m really sorry this is something you took the time to read and that upset you enough to make such a thoughtful reply.”
“I know nothing about your relationship and the heartache you both feel.”
“I in no way think you are the cause of Mac’s shortcomings. We all have our demons to keep at bay, and I truly worry about his well being.”
“I am very sorry I hurt you and I’m sorry you feel my tweet stigmatizes women for ending a toxic relationship. That wasn’t my intention at all.”
It’s safe to say that most people who write about a celeb without actually using their Twitter handle or any tags don’t expect an interaction.
When there is a response, it’s usually in the form of a “like” or perhaps a heart emoji, because most people have positive things to say.
There is no way that this person was expecting Ariana to see their post. They weren’t trying to be cruel, they were just placing blame in the wrong place.
And we think that they learned their lesson.
Ariana is such a strong voice and such an inspiration. She’s the hero that this world needs.
