Kendall Jenner Pepsi Ad: PULLED Following Controversy!
Well, we suppose this was inevitable.
Yesterday, social media lost its collective mind over Pepsi’s attempt to cash in on the nation’s current socio-political strife with a commercial in which Kendall Jenner heals America’s ills by handing a cop a cold can of carbonated sugar water.
If that sounds like an exaggeration, check out the ad for yourself …
… it might be your last chance, as Pepsi announced today that in response to growing controversy, the ad will be pulled from its marketing rotation.
The company issued the following statement moments ago:
“Pepsi was trying to project a global message of unity, peace, and understanding. Clearly, we missed the mark, and we apologize.”
(“Ya think?!” Twitter could be heard responding in unison.)
The statement continued:
“We are pulling the content and halting any further rollout. We also apologize for putting Kendall Jenner in this position.”
The only one who should be apologizing to Kendall is her agent for not tossing the script for this tone-deaf piece of performative wokeness in the trash, then tossing the trash can out the window.
If you don’t want have the three minutes to spare, or just want to save yourself the pain of watching a soda company try and fail to impress you with its social consciousness, here’s a rundown:
Blonde Kendall is modeling when she sees a protest going on and decides to revert back to brunette #WokeBae Kendall and join the resistance.
The protesters instantly recognize her #WokeBae-ness and are happy to have her.
But what about the cops?
Surely, they can’t be happy about this celebrity riling up the crowd, right?
Ha! Don’t underestimate the power of #WokeBae Kendall.
She cracks a cold Pepsi, and suddenly, the cops who were recoiling from black women moments ago are … down with the cause?
We’re not really sure, the ending is just one of the many things about this ad that’s confusing as hell.
Initially, Pepsi went into damage control mode, releasing a statement reading:
“This is a global ad that reflects people from different walks of life coming together in a spirit of harmony, and we think that’s an important message to convey.”
Wisely, they since decided to change course.
Curiously, Kendall has yet to speak out on the controversy at all.
Somewhere, we’re sure Caitlyn Jenner is assuring her that none of this would have happened if Ted Cruz had gotten elected.

Baylee Curran: This is Why Chris Brown Pulled a Gun on Me!
The woman who claims Chris Brown pulled a gun on her this morning has spoken out.
Her name is Baylee Curran… she won Miss California Regional 2016… and she opened up about the incident this afternoon on TMZ Live.
As previously reported, a still-developing situation took place inside Brown’s Los Angeles home early on Tuesday.
According to TMZ, Ray J and a few other friends of Brown’s were hanging out when a couple of uninvited guests showed up.
One woman allegedly got into an argument with Brown and was told to leave… via a gun in her face.
Baylee Curran says she is that woman.
After Curran called 911, police showed up at the residence around 3 a.m.
After waiting around for a few hours, trying to speak with Brown, they called SWAT for back-up and demanded they be let inside in order to see if Brown had the same type of gun Curran had described to them.
But Brown refused to let the authorities inside, leading to much-publicized standoff.
As far as we know, it is still going on, even after Brown dumped a duffel bag full of weapons and drugs at their feet, taunting the cops as he did so.
“Come and get me,” the artist supposedly screamed at them, aware they required a warrant to get inside.
This is Curran’s side of the story:
She tells TMZ that she has hung out with Brown in the past and that he had been perfectly cordial to her.
But he was acting strange this time around, likely due to alcohol or drugs, she surmised.
Early this morning, Curran says she and a friend went over to the house and chilled in the hot tub for a bit before walking back inside the residence.
Once there, she says they saw a member of Brown’s entourage showing off a piece of jewelry.
Curran took a close look at it, only for Brown’s crew member and then Brown to flip out on her.
The singer allegedly screamed at Baylee to “get the f-ck out” before pointing a gun in her direction.
Curran then tried to leave, but Brown’s friends tried to take her cell phone and to make her sign a non-disclosure agreement.
She refused to do so, departing with her friend.
In a series of insane Instagram videos shared throughout this story, Brown has proclaimed his innocence.
He makes it sound as if he was asleep throughout everything detailed above and gets REALLY angry at the police for even responding to this 911 call.
He also tells his fans at one point that they can “suck a fart out of my ass” for all he cares.
But, hey, go ahead and keep supporting this woman-beater, people.
We have no idea if Baylee Curran is telling the truth or not.
And we question why any female would get within 25 feet of Chris Brown.
But if you ask us to side with Chris Brown or pretty much anyone else on the planet over anything, we’ll almost always be Team Anyone Else.
UPDATE: Law enforcement insiders tell TMZ that Brown is about to get arrested. His lawyer, Mark Geragos, entere his home around 12:30 p.m. PST.

Kourtney Kardashian Gets Pulled Over, Son Cites "Big Fat Butt" as Violation
Kourtney Kardashian has herself quite the driving adventure this week.
As captured on Snapchat (naturally), the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star was in her vehicle, behind the wheel, with sister Khloe riding shotgun and kids Penelope and Mason in the backseat.
The trip started out innocently and adorably enough, with Penelope showing off her impressive repertoire of musical knowledge.
First, she lip-synched to Rihanna’s “Work.”
From there, she shifted gears and took on “Run This Town.”
We’re talking both the Beyonce and Jay-Z parts here:
From there, however, it was brother Mason’s turn to shine… after his mother found himself in trouble with the law.
With Khloe Kardashian filming, Kourtney was asked for her reaction to a police officer pulling her over, for speeding, we assume.
You can tell that Kourtney isn’t very psyched about what is happening, but then Mason jumps in with his explanation for why his mom is in trouble with the law and everything stops.
That’s what happens when your son yells that your “BIG FAT BUTT” is to blame. HA!
Of course, anyone who has stared long and hard at any Kourtney Kardashian photos is well aware that Kourtney’s butt is really the perfect size.
We guess we should be happy that Mason hasn’t done this, however.
Pity that poor child when he gets old enough to Google his mom and his aunts.
Based on what Kim Kardashian herself has said, the Internet will be filled with nude selfies for the next several decades.

TMZ Sports spoke with an employee at the stadium shop at Nationals Park who confirmed … one of the shop honchos ordered staff to yank all of Papelbon’s jerseys off the floor Monday — after the team suspended the pitcher 4 games for attacking Bryce Harper on Sunday.
A picture of the jersey removal was taken by Nationals fan Jennifer Shiffman — who noted the switch happened as the Nationals took to the field for Monday’s game.
As of this post, you can still get Papelbon gear on the team’s online shop — but we’re guessing the clock’s ticking on that too.
