Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton: Broken Up After Botched Proposal?!

It’s kind of hard to believe that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have lasted this long, isn’t it?

They began dating in 2015, very quickly after their respective divorces from Gavin Rossdale and Miranda Lambert, and they’re remarkably different people.

Like, Gwen Stefani is Gwen Stefani, and Blake Shelton has deer tracks tattooed on his arm. They might as well be from different planets.

But still, despite the odds, Gwake has managed to survive for over a year and a half now.

Unfortunately, it looks like it could all be over now.

According to a new report from Life & Style, NBC executives were pushing Gwen and Blake “to act very affectionate and playful with each other” during the most recent season of The Voice.

In fact, they “really wanted an on-screen proposal,” but the season finale aired earlier this week, and obviously the proposal never happened.

And that’s because, in real life, the couple is “miserable.”

A source claims that Gwen “wants the world to think everything is perfect with Blake. But that’s just not the case anymore.”

“Gwen and Blake began to argue more. Then she started to realize they’re just too different to spend the rest of their lives together.”

They’re allegedly so close to a breakup that Gavin Rossdale is beginning to worry for the sake of the three children he shares with Gwen.

“Gavin is a very concerned parent and wants to be sure Gwen and Blake aren’t arguing in front of the boys,” the source explains.

“And he has concerns how the boys would handle a breakup.”

So this is all pretty sad, right?

It would totally make sense if Blake didn’t want to propose on The Voice, or if Gwen wouldn’t be down with it.

After all, they’ve always been somewhat private about their relationship, and we can’t see them enjoying something as gimmicky as an on-screen proposal.

But if the reason for the proposal not happening isn’t how lame it would be, if it’s actually because they really are having all these issues …

No one is prepared for that kind of sadness.

Remember when the news first broke that Gwen had filed for divorce from Gavin? She was absolutely heartbroken.

She’d been with him for several years, and she’d only had a couple of boyfriends before him … Blake is one of very, very few men to get so close to her, and losing him would be devastating for her.

Blake Shelton Quitting The Voice Because of Gwen Stefani?!

It’s been a year and a half since we first learned that Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are dating, and unlike most workplace romances, the relationship seems to have had only positive impacts on the singers’ careers.

The Voice viewers seem to enjoy the Gwen-Blake dynamic, and ratings for the show continue to surge.

But whenever co-workers date, the situation is always fraught with peril, and it looks as though audiences and producers of The Voice may soon find themselves wishing Shelton and Stefani had never hooked up in the first place.

Sources close to the singing competition say Gwen is ready to leave her her coaching duties behind.

The problem, it seems, is that Miley Cyrus plans to return to The Voice next season, and Gwen is less than thrilled by that development.

From the time of her first appearance on the show, there were rumors that Miley didn’t get along with her co-stars.

Most of the reports involved a feud between Miley and Adam Levine, but it seems Cyrus also rubs Stefani the wrong way.

Gwen and Miley have never appeared on the show together (Miley served as Gwen’s temporary replacement in 2016.), and sources claim Gwen intends to keep it that way.

Insiders say Gwen has made it perfectly clear to her bosses that The Voice Season 12 will feature either Stefani or Cyrus – not both. 

“Since Miley is set on coming back to the show next season, Gwen definitely does not want to be on the panel alongside her,” says one tipster.

And what does all of this have to do with Blake Shelton?

Well, it seems that The Voice producers aren’t the only ones receiving ultimatums from Gwen these days:

Sources have indicated that if Gwen doesn’t come back to the show, Blake won’t be returning either:

“Since Gwen does not want to return, now Blake is considering throwing in the towel as well,” one insider claims.

The show has been a consistent hit for NBC for years, but producers now fear that Miley-gate could bring it all crashing down:

“Producers feel like it might be a domino effect,” said one source when asked about the possibility of other coaches quitting as well.

We guess this time Miley really did come in like a wrecking ball.

Blake Shelton: Planning to Propose to Gwen Stefani on The Voice?!

Last we checked on Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, the couple was going strong at the People’s Choice Awards.

BS and GS certainly aren’t shy about their love, but they are careful about controlling how much of their life together goes public.

Pretty much from the time they first hooked up, we’ve been hearing rumors about Gwen and Blake getting married, but both parties have been evasive when asked about plans to tie the knot.

But that may be soon to change …

Radar Online is reporting today that Shelton and Stefani are receiving more money to return for future seasons than any other judges on The Voice.

The reason seems to be that producers are well aware that viewers love ‘em some Gwake chemistry, and the relationship has proven to be a ratings bonanza.

“[Blake and Gwen] are getting paid an exceptional bonus that is significantly higher than the other judges to keep the spark alive on-camera,” a production source tells Radar.

Of course, the novelty of the fact that two of the judges are dating will eventually wear off, which means Gwen and Blake may have to offer fans more of an insider’s view of their relationship if they want to keep the audience interested.

The news of the bonus has led to speculation that Gwen and Blake might have promised producers something special.

Like, for example, an on-air proposal during one of the show’s live segments.

Obviously, that’s just speculation at this point, but makes an awful lot of sense.

Without the expectation of that sort of event television, it wouldn’t make much sense for the network to offer Gwen and Blake significantly more cash than the other judges.

After all, the tabloid interest in their relationship has begun to die down, and that will likely translate to diminishing returns in terms of ratings.

Blake proposing to Gwen on the air would certainly boost interest in the show, however temporarily.

But it seems like producers have some other tricks up their sleeve, as well:

“The producers really want to see Gwen and Blake in competition more often this upcoming season, versus working with each other like they have in the past,” says the insider.

“And, of course, there is a stipulation in their contract, which is more of a break-up clause,” the source claims.

“If, for some reason, they call it quits, they are both required to finish out the remainder of their existing contracts.”

Now that could make for some intense competition.

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani: Going Strong at People"s Choice Awards!

Isn"t it so nice to see Gwen Stefani happy after the absolute mess that was her divorce from Gavin Rossdale?

It was widely reported that he had a long affair with their nanny, but whatever happened, Gwen was very clear about being traumatized from it.

After she filed for divorce, she spoke at length about how hurt she was by whatever it was that happened. It was awful.

But then she began dating her fellow co-star on The Voice, country star Blake Shelton, and things began looking up for her.

Gwen and Blake — Gwake, if you will — were very vocal about their love for each other for a while, to the point where they got a bit obnoxious.

Some people even began thinking the relationship was staged, things were so constantly, overwhelmingly sappy.

But in the past several months, it seems like these two have really settled into their relationship.

They don"t gush about each other every waking moment like they used to, and it"s been a nice change.

But don"t for one second think that their love has faded — and if you can"t help it, just check out this clip of Blake Shelton at last night"s People"s Choice Awards.

Blake won two awards, one for Favorite Album and one for Favorite Male Country Artist, and during his acceptance speech, he took a moment to talk about Gwen, who was in the audience.

Blake Shelton To Universal Records: Stop Ruining Winners of The Voice!

Blake Shelton is not about to let the latest winner of The Voice become a casualty of mismanagement from Universal Records. 

Blake mentored Sundance Head throughout the competition and played a huge part in why his act managed to win the crown. 

Sundance Head was already a contestant on American Idol Season 6, so Blake no doubt wants to make sure he does not slip into oblivion again. 

Speaking to reporters after Tuesday’s season finale, Blake had much to say on the matter. 

“I want to say one more thing here, because it’s important. I want to personally issue a challenge to Universal Records. This is Season 11 of ‘The Voice,’ and I’m sitting here right now next to a guy who has won over America’s hearts,” Blake said.

“He’s so popular. He has proven that he sells tons of music… I hope that we can all come together — meaning us and Universal Records-[because] this is the guy that I think can break the mold and become a star out of this show.”

There’s no denying that Universal Records has a terrible track record of making any of the winners of the show have much in the way of longevity. 

It sucks because people expect to have their career carved out for them after winning the show, but few of the winners have actually released an album.

“I give my word that I’ll put my work in, and I know [Sundance] will,” Blake said.

“This guy deserves to be a star, and there’s no excuses anymore. We need to make the record and put the work behind it that he deserves, to have this success that he deserves. And that has to start with Universal Records getting involved and behind him.”

“We do so much great s**t for these singers, and then they go to a record label that I won’t mention. But they go to a record label that f**ks it up,” he said.

There’s nothing like telling it how it is. Right?

Universal Records have yet to respond to Blake’s comments, but they certainly won’t be happy about them. 

How would you feel if someone was trashing your record label?

Maybe this will be the thing that leads to Blake parting ways with the show.

There has been rumblings that he and Adam Levine are close to being finished with the show. 

Maybe they’re just sick of nurturing these artists to just disappear. 

It’s a tiring process enough without watching people lose their chances. 

Either way, we’ll need to stay tuned to find out whether Sundance Head goes the way of the flip phone.

Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton: We Want to Adopt a Baby Girl!

Ever since the world learned that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are dating, fans have been pushing them to get married and make babies with the urgency of a terminally bored grandmother.

Rumors about Gwen and Blake getting married began circulating pretty immediately.

Not surprisingly, Stefani pregnancy rumors followed shortly thereafter.

We’re not sure why there’s been such a push for Blake to put a baby in Gwen, as she’s 47 and already has three kids, but the fans want it, and supposedly Blake wants it too.

He hasn’t really said much on the topic.

The 4 million Gwake stans who have changed their profile pics to photos of the couple and live-tweet The Voice like its a presidential debate seem pretty convinced that Gwen’s vagina shall deliver unto us a chosen one to lead us from the darkness.

Thus, the Gwake-child talk continues … but with a twist:

“They will absolutely pursue adoption,” a source close to the couple tells Life & Style.

“It might be a baby, or it might be a toddler. But no matter what, they want a little girl in their arms by the end of 2017.”

Psssht … adopting babies and toddlers is so passe.

We say adopt a 23-year-old grad student and pay off his student loans.

That’s the future, y’all.

And it would be a perfect arrangement for Gwen and Blake.

They can both remain devoted to their careers, and Blake can take the kid out to pound some Bud Heavies on the weekend, but they’ll still get all the satisfaction of attending his graduation and being like:

“We did that! Us! As a couple!”

Anyway, if there’s any truth to these rumors, then you can take them as a pretty sure indication that Gwen and Blake are planning to get hitched in the very near future.

After all, why would they pick an arbitrary date like “the end of 2017” unless they were planning to be man and wife by then?

The Voice: Renewed for 2 Seasons, Set to Reunite Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton

Reunited, and it will soon feel so good!

NBC announced on Tuesday morning that it has renewed The Voice for Season 12 and Season 13, confirming along with this news the identity of the show’s coaches for both upcoming seasons.

And Gwen Stefani will be making her return for Season 12, joining boyfriend Blake Shelton on the competition’s red-chaired panel.

Miley Cyrus, who joined the program this year, will sit out that season, but return for Season 13.

“We can’t wait to experience the unique chemistry and energy Gwen, Alicia, Blake and Adam will bring to Season 12,” Paul Telegdy, NBC President of Alternative and Reality Group, said in a statement.

“With Miley returning for Season 13, we’re truly ecstatic about the unmatched musical know-how and talent coming together in our coming seasons.”

No premiere date has yet been set for The Voice Season 12.

But with Season 13 set for the fall of 2017, it’s safe to assume Season 12 will air some time next spring, likely kicking off in February.

Stefani first signed on as a coach for season 7 and came back for season 9.

It was impossible for viewers to miss the sparks that flew between her and Shelton in the autumn of last year, just a few months after both filed for divorce; from Gavin Rossdale and Miranda Lambert, respectively.

Stefani then served as an advisor for Shelton’s squad on Season 10.

By that point, her relationship with the country crooner was public knowledge.

In fact, Stefani and Shelton celebrated their one-year anniversary just a few days ago.

At this point, it seems almost impossible to remember a time when they were NOT dating, doesn’t it?

(For those wondering, yes, Carson Daly will be continuing on as the host of the NBC singing competition for all foreseeable seasons.)

There’s been talk that Stefani and Shelton are pondering both getting married and having a baby, although this talk has not emanated from either of the stars themselves.

They seem pretty content to just hang out and have fun.

The relationship is serious, but not wedding-bells or baby-showers serious, that’s all.

Blake Shelton Secretly Meeting with Miranda Lambert?!

Don’t you just love Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani together?

They’re just such an unlikely couple, Blake with his country swagger and deer track tattoos and Gwen being the ultimate pop/rock princess. It’s sweet.

It’s even sweeter because they’ve been together for a whole entire year now, if you can even believe it, and Gwen has been publicly gushing over Blake to commemorate their anniversary.

“I can’t say anything but I’m so blessed,” she said in an interview this week. “It’s just crazy how much happened, you know what I mean? So many beautiful memories.”

And she’s right, it is crazy that so much has happened in their relationship already — and it’s especially crazy to think about how they got together.

Gwen and Blake both went through difficult divorces right before they started their relationship.

Gwen filed for divorce from Gavin Rossdale in August 2015, allegedly because of a long affair he had with their nanny, and Blake filed for divorce from Miranda Lambert in July 2015, allegedly because he believed she was unfaithful.

But while filming The Voice, Gwen and Blake found comfort in each other, and now, a year and approximately a billion rumored pregnancies and engagements later, it looks like they’ve found true happiness.

… Or have they?

Sorry to bring on this bit of sadness, but there’s a new report from Radar that claims that Blake recently met with Miranda behind Gwen’s back.

And the details are just absolutely awful.

According to the report, Blake and Miranda both attended a gala in Nashville, but Miranda’s boyfriend, singer Anderson East, and Gwen didn’t accompany them.

Blake reportedly “complimented her on her newest song, ‘Vice,’ said she looked amazing and asked to have a private word with her.”

Uh oh …

He then told her that he’s been “carrying around a ton of emotional baggage and guilt since they divorced last summer.”

“He told her he regretted how their split became so nasty, and even suggested he wished their marriage could have worked out. He also told Miranda he misses her!”

If this is true, then obviously poor Gwen would take it pretty hard.

This insider claims that “Gwen has always been insecure and jealous over Blake’s womanizing ways, but she’s going to be crushed when she learns he and Miranda are getting chummy again.”

It probably goes without saying, but the source concludes by saying that “Blake and Miranda reconnecting could be the nail in the coffin for Blake’s relationship with Gwen.”

Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton Celebrate One-Year Anniversary!

It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost one full year since we first learned that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are dating.

In the months since the Gwake bomb dropped, there have been countless rumors of Shelton and Stefani getting engaged, but thus far, we still haven’t seen a ring on Gwen’s finger.

But that’s not to say the couple doesn’t have plenty to celebrate.

Just 18 short months ago, Blake and Gwen were both married to other people.

Now, The Voice co-stars are head over heels for one another in a way that has fans (and eye-rolling haters) anticipating a wedding announcement any day.

We don’t know exactly when they hooked up for the first time, but we’re still a couple weeks shy of the date when Blake and Gwen confirmed they were dating on social media.

But that hasn’t stopped the couple from gushing about their 12 months of bliss in recent interviews:

“I was thinking about that because I feel like last year at this time, I went and took my kids to go see The Sound of Music for my birthday,” she recently told People magazine.

“You do that. You go, ‘Where was I last year?’”

Gwen avoided going into specifics, but it’s clear that her feelings for Shelton haven’t diminished over the past year:

“I can’t say anything but I’m so blessed,” she says about her relationship with Shelton.

“It’s just crazy how much happened, you know what I mean? So many beautiful memories.”

The couple is already celebrating their upcoming one-year milestone with some trips down memory lane.

They recently took Gwen’s kids to Disney Land and even swung by Gwen’s childhood home in Anaheim while they were in the area.

Gwen Stefani"s Sons: Ready For Mom To Marry Blake Shelton!

Here we are once again, wondering when Gwen Stefani will say “I Do” to Blake Shelton.

Even though there has been no proposal (that we know of), almost every tabloid has declared that the couple will wed.  Soon.  Really soon.  Like, maybe even on The Voice.

Life & Style has recently selected December as the month in which Stefani and Shelton will get married, and her sons with Gavin Rossdale – Kingston, Zuma and Apollo – will all be part of the wedding.

“Apollo wants to be the ring bearer, and the two older boys will be junior groomsmen with Blake,” a source told the weekly. 

“Blake wants it to be really special, to show them coming together as a family.”

On August 8th, Shelton and Stefani took her boys to the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, and an onlooker couldn’t help but notice that the group really did look like a family.

“Blake acted like he was Apollo’s dad.”

Last week, Star Magazine claimed the two were planning the biggest wedding ever.

“The nuptials will be held at Blake’s $ 2.3 million estate in Nashville, right after Gwen wraps up her ‘This Is What The Truth Feels Like’ tour and Blake finishes shooting the current season of ‘The Voice,"” a source told the tabloid.

Earlier this month, both TMZ and People reported that Stefani and Shelton had met with a wedding planner, but they are not engaged.  Yet.

“Rumors are circulating in their circle that they’ve begun preparations for a wedding,” a source told People at the time.

“There’s no date set, but they’re planning ahead and having fun talking about it.”

Back in June, OK! declared that Stefani and Shelton had already married in a $ 30,000 ceremony, and that Shelton’s ex, Miranda Lambert “gave her blessing.”

That’s sweet.  And false.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton: Throwing The Biggest Wedding EVER???

While more credible media outlets confirm that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are indeed planning for a long future together, talk of a grand ceremony isn’t quite on the mark.

Star Magazine’s cover this week claims to know all about secrets of Stefani and Shelton ceremony.

“The vows, the gowns, the guests,” the cover screams.

“They bought their rings online!”

“Why Miranda [Lambert] stormed out in tears,” another caption read next to a photo of Shelton’s ex-wife wiping away a tear.

Inside the magazine, according to Gossip Cop, things get even weirder.

“Preparations are already well under way. They’re planning the wedding for late October, when they’ll both have a break in their busy work schedules,” Star claims, going into detail on Stefani’s gown, the guest list and their honeymoon.

Speaking of guest list, Lambert “stormed out” of somewhere when she found out she was invited.  Where she stormed out of is really not important given how fake this story seems.

“The nuptials will be held at Blake’s $ 2.3 million estate in Nashville, right after Gwen wraps up her ‘This Is What The Truth Feels Like’ tour and Blake finishes shooting the current season of ‘The Voice.’”

Gossip Cop pointed out that The Voice doesn’t wrap its live episodes until the middle of December.

Earlier this month, a source told People magazine that “rumors are circulating in their circle that they’ve begun preparations for a wedding.

“There’s no date set, but they’re planning ahead and having fun talking about it.”

Alrighty, so perhaps Star Magazine wasn’t completely off the mark.

“Everyone is expecting it to happen at some point, but Gwen is touring and busy,” the source added.

“The time just hasn’t been right.  Blake and Gwen are madly in love, committed and planning for a future together.”

Blake Shelton Apologizes for Homophobic, Racist Tweets

Blake Shelton clearly never thought his tweets would be under the highest form of scrutiny. 

A common occurrence among celebrities is that in the days before they knew they were going to be huge, they would leave an online footprint of some less than savory comments. 

That’s exactly what’s happened to Blake Shelton, but it’s pretty surprising that the crazy tweets we recently reported about took so long to become public knowledge. 

Maybe people thought he’d know better than to say such nasty things online. 

There’s also the possibility that one of his fans just went a little too far back on his tweets and they found some stuff that just didn’t seem like the country singer. 

If you’re a fan of The Voice, then you’re probably pretty shocked about the tweets.

Blake comes across as such a genuine guy, so these are probably shocking to pretty much anyone. 

There was a time when Blake just wasn’t as big as is today and sent the tweets without thinking about the ramifications they could have for his career down the line. 

Shelton released a statement to Twitter addressing the tweets publicly. 

“Everyone knows comedy has been a major part of my career and it’s always been out there for anyone to see. That said anyone that knows me also knows I have no tolerance for hate of any kind or form.”

It all sounds pretty genuine, but then the next part will no doubt have alarm bells ringing for you .

“Can my humor at times be inappropriate and immature? Yes. Hateful? Never. That said I deeply apologize to anybody who may have been offended.”

Playing all of this off as a joke probably won’t sit well with most of the people who have had the displeasure of reading the tweets. 

The comment he says about him never being hateful is a bit hypocritical because his tweets were hateful. 

There really is no sugarcoating it. If you’re going to apologize for something, at least make a solid attempt and be genuine about it.

Blake Shelton: SLAMMED For Racist, Homophobic Tweets

There’s an old adage that goes, “Never tweet.”

It’s a great rule for public figures to follow, especially if they have a fondness for jokes that some (or in this case all) would consider tasteless or offensive.

Today, Blake Shelton is learning the hard way that he should make “never tweet” his personal mantra and chant it to himself as he endures hours of early morning, Gwen Stefani-mandated hot yoga.

If you follow Shelton on Twitter, you know that he enjoys entertaining his millions of followers with nuggets of homespun wisdom and 140-character one-liners.

Unfortunately, before he was the media-trained star of a network TV show, Shelton was just a hard-boozin’ country singer and amateur comic who enjoyed sharing some of his edgier material on social media.

Warning: This stuff isn’t your typical “2016, everyone’s offended by everything PC culture” stuff…

No, this is genuine article old-school offensive.

Blake jokes about wanting to have sex with a 16-year-old, makes a shockingly bigoted comment about suspecting a Middle Eastern man of being a terrorist, and calls his ex a “fat, ugly b–ch.”

Yeah, like we said, not the most pleasant side of Blake.

Shelton recently denied endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, but many close to the singer say that despite “going Hollywood,” he still harbors some extreme right-wing views.

Does that create friction between Shelton and his SoCal liberal girlfriend.

Obviously, we have no way of knowing what goes on behind closed doors with these two.

But we wouldn’t be surprised if his casual racism, homophobia and misogyny occasionally make Gwen think twice about accepting Blake’s televised proposal.

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani: ENGAGED!

According to TMZ, the rumors have become a reality:

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are getting married!

You’ve probably read this claim many times over the past few months.

Heck, you probably read that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton were already married.

And you also may have seen allegations that the famous couple is expecting a pair of babies at some point.

Indeed, many things have been written about Stefani and Shelton ever since they made their romance official, but it feels different this time around.

Why? Because TMZ is the source breaking the engagement news.

You may think that website is seedy and shady and possibly the scum of the universe… but it’s rarely wrong.

In this case, TMZ writes that Gwen and Blake have hired famous wedding designer Jerri Woolworth to take charge of their nuptials.

That’s the sort of detail that makes this report a whole lot easier to believe than past rumors about the artists. 

Woolworth has offices in Tennessee and New York. She has planned events that range in size from 15 people to 15,000 people, including events sponsored by the CMAs, the NFL and the NHL.

The popular planner did not respond to a request for comment on this story and no wedding date has been set yet.

But mark these words: Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are getting married!

Both panelists on The Voice, both also got divorced last summer.

In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan, Stefani once again hinted at some major drama (like an affair with the nanny?) that went down between her and ex-husband Gavin Rossdale.

Shelton, meanwhile, broke up with Miranda Lambert after nearly four years of marriage.

There was talk of infidelity here and there on both sides, but nothing has ever been confirmed.

As far as famous celebrity divorces go, this one ended up pretty boring and amicable in the end.

Within just a few months of both stars becoming single, they started dating.

According to Stefani, it wasn’t working together on The Voice that sparked the romance as much as it was collaborating on the single “Go Ahead and Break My Heart.”

As she told Cosmo this month:

Blake wrote the song and sent it to me. He was like, ‘Help me finish it.’ I wrote a verse and sent it to him, but he was gone because he doesn’t live in L.A.

He didn’t have WiFi, so he wasn’t answering me back! As soon as he came back to town, he brought his guitar over. We were like, ‘We wrote a song together! This is crazy!

And the rest will soon be marital history.

Debra Messing SLAMS Blake Shelton Over Trump Quote, Quickly Apologizes

It’s often been said that celebrities should stay simply keep their political opinions to themselves.

Blake Shelton and Debra Messing recently learned the hard way that while it’s important for public figures to speak their minds on important issues, getting into specifics with regard to candidates can sometimes lead to some furious backpedaling.

It all started with an interview Shelton gave to Billboard magazine, in which he appeared to endorse Donald Trump’s presidential campaign:

“In country music, we’re so politically correct and so afraid to possibly upset someone,” Shelton said.

“I’m not going to have a political conversation with you about Trump, or about Hillary Clinton, but I will tell you this: Whether you love him or hate him, he says what he thinks, and he has proven that you don’t have to be so afraid.”

He added:

“A lot of people are pulling for him, no matter how much Hollywood fights it,” he continued. “I see people who don’t like him go and beat up people that do like him. You tell me: Who’s crazy here?”

Despite Shelton’s later claim that he wishes there were a “third option” in the election, that certainly sounds like an endorsement to us, and actress Debra Messing took it the same way:

“Omg. How? @gwenstefani please talk to your man to not vote for the person who will STRIP you of your rights,” Messig tweeted, in response to Shelton’s comments.

We wish we could say the two of them engaged in a lively political debate, because that would be a lot more entertaining than what actually happened.

Shelton clarified that he’s keeping it purely apolitical (no easy feat in 2016) and specifically does NOT endorse Trump for president:

“Thank you sis,” he tweeted to Messing. “I don’t endorse anybody. For this very reason!!”

“OK — I regret commenting,” Messing responded. “My passions got the better of me. Sorry. @gwenstefani @blakeshelton.”

And that was it.

We’re sure the first Trump-Clinton debate will be just as civil.

Just kidding, that’s gonna be a televised blood bath, so you’ll wanna send the kids to bed early that night.

What we’re really looking forward to at this point is putting this election behind us so that we can get back to reporting on rumors that Blake and Gwen are expecting twins.

(They’re not, but rumors are fun, right?)
