Audrey Roloff Plays with Daughter, Shills for Mattress Company

Audrey Roloff has once again opened up about her breastfeeding challenges.

But this time with a controversial twist.

To the credit of this Little People, Big World star, Roloff has never shied away from the pain she often faces while providing her daughter with sustenance.

She suffers from a condition called Mastisis.

Shortly after welcoming Ember Jean into the world, Audrey told her followers that this problem resulted in more physical pain for her than she even experienced during childbirth.

Yikes, right?

We feel terrible for Audrey and we salute her for being so honest about such difficulty.

However, we’ve often found fault with Roloff for using her daughter as a prop.

A debate continues to rage online over whether or not it’s appropriate for the TLC star to gush over child-rearing in one breath … and then encourage fans to purchase some product for which she’s shilling in the next breath.

And that’s exactly what Audrey just did on Instagram.

“I don’t know about you mamas, but nursing while laying down in bed was a game changer for me,” Roloff wrote on Tuesday night as a caption to the above images.

She continued:

“I’m so thankful that I learned how to do it early on in my breastfeeding journey. It allowed me to still have precious bonding moments with Ember while I nursed her round the clock to increase my supply, and endured reoccurring mastitis.

“It offered a little comfort and connection to my painful beginnings.”

We’re very glad to hear this.

And we’re guessing other relatively new mothers out there are as well, as it’s advice they can maybe utilize in their own lives.

But then Audrey’s message sort of took a turn.

“We spent so much time in bed together that it made me wonder about all the toxic materials in our matteress,” she wrote, explaining as follows:

“I did some research and learned about all the harmful effects of off-gassing from mattresses (especially the memory foam kind).”

Did she really, though?

Or is she just getting paid to say this?

The latter seems most likely, considering what Roloff wrote next:

“I really wanted to invest in a mattress made from natural and organic materials, but I didn’t want to sacrifice comfort…

“After doing some thorough comparisons, I finally decided to try to @avocadomattress and we absolutely love it.”

Now, look: There’s nothing wrong with promoting a product on social media.

For stars all across the Internet and all across various industries, this has become a perfectly common and profitable way to make money.

It’s just that… well… Audrey Roloff seems to pride herself on being real, honest and open.

Just consider the way she presents this mattress problem to her fans, right?

She’s acting as if she stumbled upon Avocado Mattress organically – when, in fact, this is clearly a paid promotion.

Concludes Roloff in this instance, regarding her new mattress:

“It’s 100% organic and eco-friendly + made in the US. I was worried it wouldn’t be as soft and cozy as our old mattress but we got the plush topper and it’s a dream.”

At the very end of her post, Audrey writes that this is, indeed, an “#ad.”

What do you think of this quasi Roloff controversy?

Are we making a big deal out of nothing at all?

Or is Audrey being sort of hypocritical by gushing about God while simultaneously encouraging her followers to purchase some kind of product?

It’s an interesting debate, isn’t it?

Demi Lovato Shills For Weight Loss Tea as Self Love, Fans Go Ham

Demi Lovato has become a body-positivity “champion” in recent years, and for good reason. The 24-year-old is a strong role model.

Since announcing her struggles with eating disorders and mental health issues, she’s been renowned for her candor and message.

So what’s the issue?

Lovato is a spokeswoman for the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA), and as a noted ED survivor herself, she fits the bill.

Fans were shocked, however, after the singer posted a photo promoting “detox tea” and a vexing message on her vaunted Instagram.

“This year is all about #selflove truly taking care of myself and exercising has changed everything for me,” she captioned the picture.

“@teamiblends has #sponsored my 30 day detox challenge to help get rid of toxins and my bloating for summer,” adds Demi.

“I’m on Day 7 right now and it’s so easy!”

“I just drink their tea every single day in my favorite purple tumbler. I love taking it to shoots and the studio with me.”

“If you are ready to be your best YOU this summer, use my Code: DEMI for 20% off your detox program when you check out!”

“I want all of you to do the challenge!”

The issue, if it wasn’t abundantly clear, is that “detox teas” are 1. fairly unhealthy and 2. usually touted as weight-loss products.

In fairness, Lovato didn’t outright promote the tea for weight loss purposes, but the implication is such that fans were unhappy.

Many believe that even such teas can be triggers for people with eating disorders, as they are often misused as laxatives or purgers.

Moreover, the health community is divided on such drinks in general as it is believed that they can cause a myriad of problems.

Needless to say, Lovato was quickly taken to task for irresponsible promotion by many of her 57 million Instagram followers.

“How has detox tea something to do with self love and eating disorerrecovery?” @heidirecovering wrote in the comments.

“Self love is about accepting oneself, not detoxing. I used to look up to you, but this is the lowest point ever.”

Fans called her out for pushing such a thing on people who view her as a role model thanks to her own struggles with bulimia.

@thebalanced.babe wrote, “I love you Demi, but please.”

Balanced B

“Ask yourself why would you advertise something so damaging to people struggling with EDs, disordered eating, and more.”

“Impressionable young people to look up to you.”

Others were less harsh, but still un-enthralled.

“Please take this post down Demi, a laxative will NOT make me the best me,” urged another Lovatic, @selenamyqueef.

The guise of “self-love” was what really left her army of followers steamed, and @chooselifewarrior, for one, took her to TASK on Snapchat:

Snapt

Look, obviously Demi is a very well-meaning girl.

She’s built up a lot of credibility at this point, being open and honest about her body image issues and self-esteem struggles for years.

Those Demi Lovato swimsuit pics she’s been flaunting lately are jaw-dropping, as is the incredible confidence level she’s shown.

There isn’t anything wrong with wanting to change one’s body, or sharing your experiences with others who follow you on social media.

Using questionable products to do so, however?

Especially products potentially harmful for people with eating disorders – many of whom look up to Demi for exactly that reason?

The star and NEDA have yet to comment, but we expect some kind of response soon, given the current backlash against this plug.

Kim Kardashian Shills Another BS Weight Loss Product

Kim Kardashian is at least partially responsible for the popularity of waist training, the idiotic weight loss trend that has women all over the country smushing their organs into a more pleasing shape.

For years, Kardashian waist training photos have been popping up on social media at the rate of about one a month, and Kim and her sisters have cashed in big time as a result.

Never mind the fact that the Kard clan has access to the best in personal trainers, dieticians, and (judging from their reality shows) round-the-clock salads in plastic containers, many of their fans are still willing to buy any magic bullet weight loss solution to which they falsely credit their famous figures.

And the snake oil companies responsible for these products are more than happy to cut depressingly large checks for social media darlings like Kim and kompany to give their overpriced crap a public thumbs up.

So it’s in that spirit that Kim has moved on to some next level sh-t:

No longer content to encourage her followers to shell out a couple hundred bucks for a worse-than-useless piece of crap, Kim now wants people to shell out a grand (or more) to get all decked out in magic garbage bags:

Kim calls it a sweatsuit, because she’s never set foot in a Wal-Mart, but she’s actually wearing something called a “sauna suit.”

And as her Snapchat users have noticed – she’s been wearing it a lot lately.

The idea is that it makes you absoluetly pour sweat during your workouts, but as any personal trainer can tell you, the pounds you drop will be mostly water weight, and any progress will be undone as soon as you rehydrate post-workout.

Regardless, we’re sure sales are through the roof ever since Kim’s been sharing this hot tip with her millions of followers.

As with her first pregnancy, Kim dropped the baby weight surprisingly fast after giving birth to Saint West.

So it’s only natural that fans would look to her for advice and shedding their own excess poundage.

But if Kim really wanted to help them, she’d be honest that her secret is no secret:

Everything is easier when you have limitless time and money on your hands, including losing weight.

Unfortunately, that’s been an expensive lesson to learn for many of Kim’s fans.

Kim Kardashian Shills for Waist Trainer, Is Officially BACK!

Kim Kardashian is back, people.

It’s been several weeks since the reality star returned to social media, we know. She’s posted a number of photos and a couple Snapchat videos over the past month or so.

But now the ex-sex tape star has truly returned to the life she lived prior to last year’s armed robbery.

The mother of two just shared a new image on Facebook, one that centers on her ample cleavage and tiny waist.

But that’s not all!

It’s just like Kim Kardashian to show off these body parts, of course.

However, it’s even more like Kim Kardashian to shill for a product while doing so.

“I love working out in my @waistgangsociety shaper by @premadonna87 it gives me the extra boost that I need in the gym & keeps my waist snatched,” Kim wrote of the product as a caption.

She then included a discount code and a link to the official website for What a Waist.

We’ve railed against the awful example set by Kardashian and her sisters for years, as they continue to hawk a company and a product that does absolutely nothing.

Note to fans of these stars:

A waist trainer will not help you shed a single pound. Kim is simply making money off your ignorance here. DO NOT PURCHASE THESE RIDICULOUS CONTRAPTIONS.

Elsewhere, Kim seemingly responded to those who think she’s been acting poor in her ongoing series of family photos.

As previously reported, some are under the impression that Kardashian is going too far out of her way to act all normal ever since her return to social media.

It’s nice that she’s stopped posting images of her diamonds and her mansion because that simply invites trouble, as she discovered the hard way in Paris last October.

But it’s silly and a bit insulting to now pretend like she’s just a regular Jane Six Pack, unable to afford makeup or furniture.

Fortunately, Kardashian appears to finally agree.

Consider the following new photo and its affiliated message:

Yup, that’s Kardashian in a private airplane.

“NYFW here we come!!! Thank you @jetluxlife!!! #jetluxlife,” Kim wrote as a caption, once again promoting a company that almost definitely gave her a free ride as a result of this one Instagram post.

Kanye West is scheduled to to reveal new items in his fashion line on Wednesday at New York Fashion Week.

We’ve seen very little of the rapper since his hospitalization last year for a nervous breakdown and even less of Kim and Kanye together in public.

Hence the ongoing rumors of a Kimye divorce on the horizon.

Might this Fashion Week appearance give the couple a chance to shut down that talk?

Might we finally see a return of Kim and Kanye to their natural, rich, well-dressed habitat? It’s been far too long.

The celebrity gossip universe needs you, Kimye. Give us what we want, please.

Jenelle Evans Flaunts Weight Loss, Shills Diet Tea

As she told us yesterday (with the help of a bikini pic, of course) Jenelle Evans is not pregnant.

In fact, she claims her belly is rapidly shrinking these days, as evidenced in the pics below:

Jenelle posted those side-by-side images to Instagram today, along with the following caption:

“SPOT THE DIFFERENCE: One is before my two weeks on the @flattummytea cleanse, one is after. 2 cups of tea a day (one morning, one at night), some light exercise, a little dedication and ta-da, this is the result. Very happy.”

Yes, Jenelle credits the difference between the two pics to Flat Tummy Tea, a corporation whose entire marketing campaign seems to be centered on getting young female reality stars to shill their products on Instagram.

Hey, we guess it’s better than that waist training BS.

If you’re thinking to yourself that it’s more than a tad ridiculous that Jenelle claims to have lost that many inches in two weeks thanks to “light exercise” and some magic tea … well you’re not alone.

The comments on this pic feature a wide variety of speculation as to what’s really going on here, ranging from “she’s pushing her stomach out” to “she’s actually pregnant.”

Some folks even went full-Oliver Stone and and unleashed some bonkers conspiracy theories:

“There’s a pic on here saying she’s not pregnant yadda yadda, but there’s no octopus tattoo, and then this,” writes one follower. “Just own up to it, you’re knocked up!”

Whoa. You’re blowing our minds, juliealaine26.

Don’t get us wrong, we think something’s a foot here.

But we don’t think Jenelle is pregnant.

Or maybe we’re just slaves to wishful thinking.

Considering Ms. Evans is currently fighting two custody battles at once, we’re really, really hoping she’s not pregnant.

Farrah Abraham Dumps Simon Saran, Shills Dating App

Remember last week when we reported that Farrah Abraham and Simon Saran are back together?

Well, it turns out the reconciliation only lasted about as long as Farrah’s porn career.

According to her latest Instagram posts, it seems Farrah and Simon have broken up once again.

Or at the very least, Farrah is pretending they’ve called it quits so that she can hawk a new dating app with the implication that she’s looking to get busy with the sad souls who download it.

Ms. Abraham posted the above photo yesterday, along with the following caption:

“I love this new sexy app for singles who like to go out.”

She went on to extol the virtues of Peeq, which from what we can tell is a Tindr-like app for those seeking no-strings-attached sex.

In another post, Abraham encouraged users to “find” her on the app.

Again, Farrah is the type who would encourage “sexy singles” to hunt her down even if she were involved in a committed relationship, so there’s no guarantee that she’s once again kicked Simon to the curb.

But whatever the case, she’s Instagram single once again, and in Farrah Land, isn’t that all that really matters?

No, it’s also worth noting that Farrah is looking more like a soulless blow-up doll every day and poppin’ bottles with a six-foot Pikachu for some reason:

The best part is that in the caption for this pic, she offers zero explanation for the presence of everyone’s favorite Pokemon.

Like so many things in Farrah’s life, it only makes sense to Farrah.

Just kidding, there’s no way she devotes the slightest thought to any aspect of her absurd existence.

Watch Teen Mom online to relive all of Farrah’s mist ridiculous moments.
