Parents Teach Kids to Pole Dance, Defy Critics (And Decency)

You know what they say, right?

The family that pole dances together stays together.

This is what Jake Night and Lindsey Teall, residents of of St. Louis, believe, at least.

The couple has made headlines for the rather unusual workout routine it is teaching its kids.

What possible reason would a mother and a father have for raising a family full of stripping pole dancers?

It all goes back to how they met and it goes from there…

1. Their Past Served as Their Prologue

Stripping2

Jake and Lindsey met when both were working as exotic dancers. They have a love and a passion for this near-naked activity.

2. A Family of Five

Stripping1

The couple has decided to pass along this pastime to its kids: Aiden, 11, Lindsey’s son from her first marriage; and their two daughters, Alaura, 5, and 3-year-old Rosalyn.

3. Their Pole Position?

Stripping10

The parents have installment a stripper pole in their living room. We’d love to see how guests react to that, right?!?

4. Let’s Play, Kids!

Stripping3

Jake considers pole dancing a sport and told The Daily Mail: “We have dealt with a lot of negative comments, I can’t even count, thousands upon thousands upon thousands. We’ve heard some pretty horrific things, they were going to hunt us down and kill us and take our children. The naysayers, the haters and everybody like that just makes us, as parents, more protective of them.”

5. But Aren’t the Kids Just Strippers Now?

Stripping4

No, insists Lindsey: “”This is a legitimate sport. A lot of people, you just can’t change their opinion. We’re living our most authentic life, sometimes people don’t like that; they want you to be like everybody else… Pole dance is taking a new route, it’s evolving into a sport, into an art.”

6. A Sport?!?

Stripping9

There is such a thing out there as this: THE INTERNATIONAL POLE CONVENTION, also commonly known as PoleCon. Per its official website, this competition “celebrates the diversity of the pole dance/pole fitness community. Come to learn, share and grow with men and women of all shapes, sizes, ages, ethnicities and fitness levels then stay for the community. #poleconisforeveryone.”

Catelynn Lowell & Tyler Baltierra: We Want to Teach Your Kids About Mental Health!

Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra have had quite a year.

There may have been more ups and downs in the past 12 months, but the beloved Teen Mom OG couple deserves praise for consistently turning negatives into positives.

Unfortunately, the most noteworthy recent development for the young couple is a tragic one:

Catelynn suffered a miscarriage, and the trauma of the event took a tremendous psychological toll on both her and her husband.

Lowell checked into rehab to be treated for various mental health issues in the aftermath of the shocking loss.

Clearly, it’s difficult to find any sort of silver lining in such a painful series of events, but it does seem as though Cate and Tyler have both emerged from the wreckage with a better understanding of theit minds’ inner workings.

And fortunately for fans, the Baltierras are seeking out ways to share what they’ve learned with the world:

As The Ashley’s Reality Roundup points out, Catelynn and Tyler appeared on Kailyn Lowry’s podcast this week, where they discussed a wide array of topics, including their plans to help fans who are coping with issues similar to their own.

“We’re talking to MTV and trying to come up with a couple different pitches for a mental health special,” Tyler said.

“Ironically ‘Teen Mom’ has had a lot of mental health [issues] that have been covered on a lot of the stories. We really want to do a public thing, possibly with Dr. Drew [Pinsky].

“The hard part is crafting a message and making it be genuine and not just trying to cash in on this thing we’ve got going on,” Baltierra added.

As for her struggles with PTSD and depression, Catelynn said she’s turned a corner as of late:

“I feel way better,” Cate said.

“I did a whole med switch and genetic testing. I found out that the medication I was on for five years doesn’t even work for me.”

She added:

“They put me on different medications and they seem to be working really well. It all stems from the trauma of my past so I’m going to have to keep digging into that.”

And it seems Cate and Tyler feel their both in a position where they can turn their attention to helping others.

As longtime Teen Mom OG fans know, the couple made the painful decision to place their youngest daughter, Carlee, up for adoption before she was born back in 2009.

While they still believe they did what was best for their baby, the decision has clearly caused the couple a good deal of pain over the years, as they’ve struggled to maintain a relationship with Carlee, despite the fact that they’re not her legal guardians.

Now, Catelynn and Tyler are hoping to channel that pain into a second children’s book, this one focusing on the unique challenges fced by adopted children.

“Me and Catelynn have been talking lately about doing an adoption book for kids who are adoptees and for kids who have siblings that have been adopted,” Tyler said.

“I think it would be cool to explain to the kids, in their language, how [adoption] works.”

Watch Teen Mom OG online to relive the rocky road that brought the Baltierras to where they are today.

Mom Locks Kids in Hot Car to Teach Them a Lesson; Kids Die

A Texas mother of two was jailed this weekend after police say she left her kids in a hot car to teach them a lesson … and they perished.

Cynthia Randolph, 25, allegedly locked one-year-old Cavanaugh Ramirez and two-year-old Juliet Ramirez in the vehicle last month.

The little girl, she felt, needed "a lesson."

Even more shocking is that Randolph, of Fort Worth, apparently told them as much during interviews with law enforcement investigators.

She first said she noticed her kids were missing.

Upon investigating (this was May 26), she said she found them locked in the vehicle, where they"d been for "no more than an hour."

However, that story would allegedly change.

Police said Saturday that, in the weeks since the incident, Randolph has acknowledged that she left her children in the car intentionally.

According to a statement from police, she said she found the kids playing in the car when the 2-year-old refused to get out.

That"s when she closed the door to teach her a lesson, believing that her daughter could get herself and her brother out when ready.

Her kids, again, are 1 and 2 years old.

As the Texas temperatures soared to the mid-90s, Randolph went inside to smoke marijuana, and the kids were not able to exit the car.

After what authorities say was a 2-3 hour nap, Randolph reportedly told cops she came back outside to find her children unresponsive.

The two children were tragically pronounced dead about 30 minutes after the authorities were notified; Randolph was arrested Friday.

In a statement, the kids" father thanked police.

"Please send a thank you to [the] Parker County Sheriff"s Office and the Texas Rangers from the Ramirez family," the statement said.

Randolph also implicated herself again when she told investigators she later broke the car window to make it look like an accident.

The Texas Rangers and U.S. Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General Dallas Field Office both investigated the situation.

After she told them several versions of events over the course of a few weeks, they were finally able to make an arrest late last week.

The local Sheriff"s office said that they are satisfied with the arrest of Randolph, who they believed was solely responsible for two deaths.

Jessa Duggar: I"ll Teach Your Daughters How to Cover Up!

It’s been nearly two years since the world learned that Josh Duggar molested five young girls and was assisted by his parents in covering up his crimes and evading prosecution.

It was an appalling situation that was made all the more shocking with each new revelation.

We eventually learned that – far from being isolated incidents – Josh’s crimes were essentially sanctioned by his parents’ beliefs and the community in which he was raised.

The Duggars belong to the Quiverfull movement, a system of inherently misogynistic religious beliefs which holds that women are put on Earth for the sole purpose of breeding.

From a young age, girls born into Quiverfull families are taught that they’re inferior to men, and it’s their responsibility to ensure that they don’t tempt men into engaging in sexual activity for any reason other than procreation.

Homeschooling curriculum materials used by the Duggars and other Quiverfull families were made public shortly after the Josh sex scandals and offered a frightening glimpse into a cult-like community.

The materials showed that parents were instructed to teach their children that sexual abuse is often the victim’s fault, as men are unable to control themselves in the presence of women who dress provocatively.

Now, despite being a victim of sexual abuse herself, Jessa Duggar is reportedly perpetuating that message by offering a girls-only course on the importance of modest attire.

Jessa is scheduled to give a speech at the Middletown Ladies Retreat in Ohio next week, and a puzzling description of the event is stirring up some serious controversy online.

According to the retreat’s website, Jessa will give an address entitled “Fashionably Modest.”

Men and girls under the age of 9 will not be permitted to attend.

Jessa’s speech will be co-sponsored by the Advanced Training Institute, the group that authored the controversial teaching manuals that went public in 2015.

Many believe that Jessa’s speech will entail more than just fashion and will delve into the “consequences” of dressing immodestly, which would explain why men and young girls are expressly banned from the event.

Interestingly, a page promoting the event on the All Events website has been removed without explanation.

There’s been speculation that Jessa has decided to quietly cancel the event in response to growing controversy.

At this point, however, the 24-year-old mother of two has offered no comment on the situation.

We’ll have further details on this developing story as more information becomes available.

Kim Kardashian and Her Cleavage Want to Teach You About "Perfect Selfie Lighting"

It’s been over a month since Kim Kardashian gave birth to little Saint West.

And the reality star is clearly back to feeling like herself.

How do we know?

Because Kardashian just shared a new selfie on Facebook, one that serves to sum her up perfectly:

  1. It showcases her massive breasts.

  2. It is an ad disguised as a helpful piece of advice.

“Selfies about to be LIT! Today on my app I talk about the perfect selfie lighting! The secret to my selfies Lumee.com,” Kim wrote as a caption to the above image.

She also linked to the official Lumee website, which talks about how this “brilliant front-lit smartphone case is changing the way people shoot and share social media.”

We can only imagine how much Kardashian got paid simply to snap this selfie and to write two sentences on Facebook.

Kim also posted a second selfie on Facebook this week, although this one unfortunately does not feature any close-up of any cleavage whatsoever.

Sorry, fellas.

“Back to reality,” Kardashian captioned this picture.

We’re not sure what that means.

But we do know that Keeping Up with the Kardashians is in a ratings free fall.

So perhaps she’s being summoned away from her newborn and back to the reality show, doing promotional shoots or interviews or simply filming new scenes for upcoming episodes.

We’d feel sorry for her, but she probably just made six figures for simply sharing a selfie on Facebook.

So, no. We don’t actually feel sorry for Kim at all.

Chris Brown to Australia -- Forget Parents, I Can Teach Kids About Domestic Violence

Z STAFF

0929-chris-brown-australia-getty-01Chris Brown is trying to convince the Australian government, he’s better suited to teach kids about the horrors of domestic violence than their parents.

As we reported, the Australian government is strongly inclined to deny Brown entry into the country because of the Rihanna beating conviction, but they’ve invited the singer to make a case for entry.

Brown just tweeted, “The youth don’t listen to parents nor do they listen to PSA’s. The power that we have as Entertainers can change lives.”

The problem … his tweet is more about him and his right to move past the conviction than it is about domestic violence. He writes, “My life mistakes should be a wake up call for everyone. Showing the world that mistakes don’t define you. Trying to prevent spousal abuse.”

He might want to leave this one to the lawyers.
